Bernal Star

Came here for a brunch with a bunch of friends, and the place itself is quite expansive with a few different dining areas. They have a fairly wide selection of brunch foods (on Sundays), and the chicken sandwich and bloody mary were both pretty good.

Tasty food and friendly, albeit slightly absentee service (I think we came during a shift change) the beer battered artichoke was good, but vastly improved with the addition of lemon and some hot sauce in the home made ranch. The pear fennel salad was good, but had only 3 tiny slivers of fennel and the pear was a bit underripe. The veggie pot pie is always good, but was under-seasoned, both in salt and herbs in the veloute.

The entrance is a small outdoor entrance that looks like a hallway into a private patio, but you’ll have arrived right where you need once you see the patio. Love the patio setting with the option to also sit indoors. Brunch is til 3pm. Best dish to order are the beignets with fresh fruit. Absolutely fantastic, and their house made jam is YUM! Eggs Benedict was good yet the side potatoes were dry. The chilaquiles had good sauce but were completely soaked in the sauce, making them soggy. A couple of vegetarian options available. Coffee, juices, and alcohol drink’s available. Accepts credit card and cash.

The Beignets here is my favorite dish so far. So light and the fruits came with it were fresh and sweet. Also like the fact that the hot chocolate is not super sweet. The kids menu item was healthy and in generous in portion! Will be back again to check out the chicken pot pie which looked very good too!

Great atmosphere, good food, but a little on the expensive side. Was seated by a sunny window overlooking a quaint garden. Probably the best seat in the entire restaurant. I wouldn't get the ceviche again. Presentation was good but, the freshness you'd expect wasn't there. I'd would lean towards ordering their breakfast/brunch options next time. The wild boar burger turned out to be more like a breakfast sausage sandwich. I was looking for a juicy burger, and did not find that in this. Should have went with either the lamb or the beef burger instead. We asked for lettuce and tomato slices to go on the burger, but was not informed that there would be an extra 💲 charge. Overall, I'm feeling ambivalent about this restaurant. I should be able to order anything on the menu and enjoy it as much as the popular food options. Otherwise, why have it on the menu at all. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Had a nice late lunch on the back patio. Food was good. Especially enjoyed the homemade tropical iced tea and beignets. Server was friendly. Cute/comfy neighborhood cafe.

I had brunch on the patio between the two buildings. Both my friend and I brought our dogs, as did other diners. The clientele was diverse and friendly. I had chicken enchiladas and soft poached eggs. It was perfect and not too pricey. My friend's French toast looked really good, too. We shared a side of roasted potatoes - simply prepared and delicious. Parking is tricky, but of course.

Good hidden gem in the neighborhood with great Huevos Rancheros and freshly squeezed OJ. Their Benedict plates are also highly recommended. Has indoor and outdoor seating now. Good for small groups as venue is not too big being in a house setting.

This is seemingly too little too late as this spot has since closed. The food we enjoyed here was delicious and the dining experience and setting were intimate and lovely. The pizza and burger were so yummy!

We visited my friend Mike W. and his family in Bernal Heights this month and walked to Bernal Star for an easy lunch. This is one of the W. family's go-to restaurants, a neighborhood stand-by and particular favorite of their three-year-old. We walked in at 1:30 on a Sunday and there were open tables on the patio. This was a nice space, cute and homey, with maybe a little less sun cover than ideal on a July afternoon. There was unobtrusive live music provided by a small band that included a fiddler. Service was fast and polite. I had a Bloody Mary and a fried chicken sandwich for lunch, good decisions all around. The Bloody was thick and tasty, rimmed with seasoned salt and garnished with olives, celery, and lemon. The fried chicken sandwich was solid, with buttermilk battered chicken breast and jicama slaw on a soft brioche bun. It came with a side and I picked the salad then ate some of my husband's fries. The salad was fine for a bunch of leaves, but the fries were better. I enjoyed my time at Bernal Star. It felt like an efficient way to soak up the neighborhood. I'd recommend this place if you find yourself hungry in Bernal Heights.

Sat at their outdoor patio on a nice day after work, the weather was nice but be warned that there aren't any heat lamps nor umbrellas. There were only a handful of other parties when I dined here, so not too busy- but even so, the service was lukewarm. The servers were brisk, and you had to flag them down to get a water refill, pay the bill, etc. The receipt has a QR Code to pay through. I would chalk it up to a bad day or something, but it's a bit jarring when the service is clearly different between my table and another... . Fries were ok, standard fries . Calamari was the star of the show, perfectly fried and the breading was delicious . Ceviche honestly could do without it, was a bit bland and watery

This is your average breakfast/brunch place hidden in the back. This is your standard brunch place with omlettes and toast and such. This wasn't outstanding and for the price this seems like something anyone can make at home. There wasn't anything that was unique about this place.

I love coming here with my mom and baby on a nice day after work. We love sitting out on the patio and enjoying a nice little happy hour or early dinner. The patio is a nice little outdoor area with tables and chairs, umbrellas and heaters (for weather changes). We typically order the same things: *Ceviche (HH menu for $10) , made of fish, fresh and plenty for 2-3 as an app or for 1 person as a meal. *Burrata Salad, delicious but you need to ask for toast if you like, as it doesn't come with the plate. *Butter Lettuce Salad, fresh, simple flavors and light. Perfect with a glass of wine or cold beer. *Bernal Star Burger, delicious and cooked to order. I order my daughter the herbed chicken & roasted veggies from the kids menu. It's more than she can eat, so I take the rest home for another meal for her. Happy hour menu also includes other appetizers and drinks at a reduced rate, who doesn't like saving a little money? The service is always so friendly, quick and the food is good. The patio is nice

A very kid-friendly spot on a Friday night. Lots of families, and anyone without kids was not judgmental of them! There wasn't a lot of parking but we got a spot around the corner immediately. RESERVATIONS Made by phone on Friday morning for a 5:45pm dinner that day for five. If we had walked in we likely would have had a wait; it wasn't busy, but many tables were reserved. SERVICE Very friendly & sweet. Very understanding of our kids. * Limosa ($9) - 3.5 stars Sparkling and lemon-y, a nice refreshing drink. Wish it were a little heavier on the lemonade. * Brussels Sprouts ($12) - 4.5 stars Great crisp, love the tart aioli. * Duck Bacon pizza ($18) - 4 stars Love the strong rosemary. Quite heavy of a pizza, no red sauce so no contrast of flavors.

I have to admit I did my research into restaurants on Cortland and liked the reviews. I love the vibe, I love the food, I love the venue and am in love with the service! Alejandra was awesome...and so busy ! She was so good to me and Lola (who's frequently skittish but Alejandra and the other patrons were so good with Lola! I loved the Brussels Sprouts, truffle fries, salad and the greatest thing on the menu: Duck Bacon Pizza! Alejandra recommended it and boy, she was spot on! Thanks so much for all you are and what you do! I love this place!!!

We were here after the SF marathon and there was a little bit of a wait. I would recommend going early since there is almost always a wait for brunch & finding parking is challenging. However don't let that deter you from getting here. The food is spot on and the ambiance is great. The servers are very friendly and helped us promptly with the order. The restaurant is also pet friendly. We ordered mimosas as well and they were potent. Overall definitely recommend!!

Came here for dinner, food was very disappointing. The calamari was served a bit burnt and seemed like they were refried from left over. The squids were inedible, they were very dry , like eating a piece of hard rubber. The ceviche seems to taste just like the ceviche you can get from Costco, could be worse. Not fresh, very sour, only consist of tiny shrimps which are tasteless. I guess the only thing they did was to put a few avocados chunks and added more lemon plus chips. I guess some of the food in the dinner menu were not made directly by this restaurant, instead, they were purchased somewhere else, that's why they were not fresh at all and taste nasty. Will not come back for sure.

I came to have brunch here on Sunday April 23rd. I had the Buttermilk Waffle with Fruit and a side of Sausage. The waffle was delicious. One of the best I've had in a while. The fruit was nice and fresh with a dollop of whipped cream. Victor was great and offered amazing customer service. He was very attentive and made sure I was enjoying my meal. I really like this place. Nice outdoor and indoor seating available. Customer service is always good here. Thanks Bernal Star for a great Experience as always.

This is a lovely little brunch spot. We sat in the outdoor patio, which was sufficiently spacious (and with plenty of well behaved doggos in attendance), although the indoor bar area looked nice, too (giving off upscale apartment complex community center vibes). I ordered the huevos rancheros, which is one of my brunch go-tos. It was very good, and aside from the some of the decorative lettuce, the ranchero sauce was not riddled with onions and other entropy (which I neither want nor need, and so I especially appreciated this). Overall, these huevos rancheros are better than most. I also had a cup of coffee, which was similarly above average (which may sound like faint praise, but I mean this to be a real compliment, especially for a place that is not primarily a coffee shop). Having more of sweet tooth, my gf ordered the cinnamon French toast, which was absolutely scrumptious. It came with fresh fruit and maple syrup, both of which were good but neither of which was necessary as the French toast was good on its own (fluffy but with a nice crisp on the exterior, with a subtle cinnamon flavor and sweetness). In addition, everything was beautifully plated (both on our table and everyone else's - I was looking).

This place is always solid. I love their fried artichoke hearts, chicken pot pie, and Caesar salad. I had their special which was shrimp spaghetti and it was delicious. The shrimp were cooked to perfection.

Long time favorite of mine! Love getting the angus burger with the local ingredients that they use. Love sitting in the back especially on a warm day. Staff is always so kind and I love whenever Stella, a neighborhood cat, comes to visit.

Bernal star you had a great run! We were told by our server and the owner they are closing after tomorrow August 25. They will shift brunch to Vega the place across the street. Tough day for the neighborhood!

Bernal star is amazing! My family booked their back room and patio for our Christmas get together. Our server was Alejandra and she was amazing! Everyone got drinks promptly, the food came out as scheduled and she was so kind - she even moved tables around for us and helped us with little things like a cup for our white elephant numbers. The food was to die for. We ordered Brussels sprouts, fried artichokes, pizza, Mac n cheese, two types of salad and individual chicken pot pies. The pace of meal was perfect despite our large order. The food that came out was hot and fresh. Alejandra and the server helping her made sure the vegetarian dishes got to the right people. Overall we stayed at the restaurant for about 3 hours. Never did we feel rushed or like we were in the way. We all enjoyed it so much we decided we should go back to Bernal Star every year. As much as I can say about the food, decor, and ambiance I need to end this review on a note about our server Alejandra - I have done several holiday parties with groups even smaller than this at other restaurant this year and never received such impeccable service. She truly went above and beyond to make our Christmas party great.

The team working there is very welcome and attentive. When my friend and I had lunch, she brought her dog and requested a chicken breast. They very thoughtfully asked if the dog had any food allergies! That is a level of thoughtfulness not to be taken for granted. They were very kind and attentive throughout. The courtyard in the back is a very pleasant environment in a charming part of San Francisco!

This is a another sad time for Bernal Heights. The loss of Heartfelt, a quirky gift shop, Succulence, a wonderful plant+ store & now Bernal Star, a great local restaurant, leaves a huge hole in our neighborhood. It's an untenable situation when greedy landlords won't fairly negotiate rents, thereby pricing businesses out. How can a small operation of any sort afford $10,000.00 a month right off the top of their gross income. Not only does this affect our neighborhood, but little by little, neighborhood by neighborhood, local businesses are forced out. San Francisco has become a city that doesn't help to protect it's small local businesses, in my opinion, becoming one!

Had brunch here with a friend, the food was great. We had a veggie scramble and the special (smoked salmon Benedict), both were yum. I had a cappuccino that was realllly good. The servers were attentive, but we didn't feel rushed. We sat and talked a bit after we ate and they were kind and continued to refill our waters. The place was quiet and casual, the prices were what I'd expect for the experience and neighborhood. Their back patio is lovely. I'd come back for brunch again.

Chicken enchiladas with poached eggs and avocado were definitely the highlight of my Friday before the 4th holiday. I dined in a beautiful courtyard in one of my favorite neighborhoods in SF. Can't beat the experience.

Really nice proportions. They have an outside patio that's is really cute and has heaters to keep you warm. The server was super nice and attentive. It is really hard to find parking around this area though.

Food: French Toast - 3/5 - Pretty average in my mind. Nothing too special about it. Duck Bacon - 5/5 - OK...so this was sooooooooo GOOD! I think if anything this made my meal. I'm a fan of duck and it was a nice complement to my meal. Not to mention the portion was plentiful but for $7 it should be! Service: So the unfortunate thing is that we waiting for about 25 minutes for our food. Tables seated after us received their meals before us. Our server didn't really notice. When my friend's food came out, some of it was cold. He mentioned he saw it sitting out for quite some time as they were waiting on my dish which he thinks was given to another table. Ambiance: Casual setting but very cute and neighborhoody.

I had high hopes for this place. We recently moved to the area and needed a new close breakfast haunt. At the outset, things started off a bit rocky. It took almost 15 minutes for the server to take our order. Maybe they were short staffed or just plan slammed in the kitchen, but regardless it tested my SOs patience and we eventually had to flag down our server to get our order in. It then took another 5-10 minutes to get our drinks and another 10 minutes thereafter for the appetizers to show up; in other words, there was quite some time before we were able to get food in us albeit alcohol made us a bit more patient. The burrata on tomato was very solid and the fries were served with fresh ketchup (love fresh ketchup). Things were looking up... Unfortunately, that was the high point. It took another 20-30 minutes for our food to show up and boy we were not impressed. I ordered the breakfast BLT which was accompanied by an overcooked egg and a salad of leaves with very light dressing. My SO ordered the Caesar salad with perhaps some of the driest flavorless chicken I've had in a while. Only after the food was finished did the server offer take my drink order, which I'd finished shortly after the appetizers had arrived. Finally, we flagged our waiter only to box our food and give us the check; after leaving the table and walking out the door, he chased us down accusing our of not paying despite having the QR code option on the receipt. I'm not a bad tipper, but I wish I could negative tip in this instance. I won't be coming back and can't recommend this place for either the poor service or overpriced slightly-above-average food. I'm hoping something else on Cortland turns up.

I love this neighborhood gem. Excellent food, wonderful service, and a lovely back patio. It's a great spot to meet up with friends for brunch on the weekends, have a mimosa and chill. We're so lucky to have this place on the hill!

Service was excellent. Our server was friendly and funny, even while managing many tables. Ambiance is adorable, very comforting. The ceviche tostadas were delicious, very well done. The other food items we ordered (pot pie, mac n cheese) were mediocre at best. I would come back and try other items, especially since it is such a comforting, friendly place, but am not expecting the food to be great.

Bernal star always comes in clutch. It's a great place to fetch a burger or a sandwich whenever you are tired and take a walk around the neighborhood while enjoying a coffee. I usually come here for the Greek burger. Very nice mix of feta, onions and cucumber. I'd also recommend the fried chicken sandwich. The aioli nails it

So, I originally was going to give Bernal a 3, but if you fill a wine glass to the top with a mimosa then you're definitely getting bonus points. Another hidden feature of this place is the seating area in the back patio. On to the food...ehh, it's mediocre. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but doesn't give you a foodgasm. I had the crab benedict and it was so so. I think it would have been better with avocado slices rather than guacamole tbd. The guacamole kind of tasted like the guac from Safeway. ^emoji Chrissy Teigen smile^ On to the beignet. I'm pretty sure that's a churro. Back to the mimosa. I'll take another :)

This is such a cute place for brunch. We were walking up and down Cortland St trying to figure out where to eat and really loved the cute courtyard for outdoor dining here. The brunch menu is much smaller than it was previously but still has some very delicious looking items we were interested in. We showed up shortly they opened - they're quite popular as outdoor dining was almost full when we got seated! We were promptly given menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink. But then even letting someone know we were ready to order our meals, it took quite some time for someone to come take our order. They were very busy so it's understandable. For food we ordered eggs Florentine, chicken enchilada, and a side of duck bacon. Everything was delicious. In particular I really enjoyed the eggs Florentine because of the thick English muffin and the creamiest hollandaise sauce. Duck bacon was similar to turkey bacon but more flavorful. Chicken enchiladas were solid too. The two of us shared the food, and it was definitely more than enough. I really enjoyed brunch here and would certainly love to come back and try other things! We may have overstayed a bit (1 hour 15 min?) because they kept coming by and asking us whether we wanted a box (in truth we were just picking at the remaining food and slowing down significantly toward the end). There were other empty tables so we thought it wasn't a huge deal but it did feel a bit rushed at the end.

My partner and I dined here on 9/3/22. All of the waiters and staff were great except this one woman pictured. She needs to be fired. I am a white woman. My partner is a black man. Our entire experience she would only look at and address me, even with questions directed towards my partner. When I intentionally looked away to force her to address him with her questions, she started laughing after he answered her question. Her question was "do you want more water" and his response was "no thank you." She acknowledged his response but came back with water anyway, poured it in his cup and said "gotta stay hydrated on a hot day." She dismissed his response and treated him however she wanted. She was behind me and in view of my partner at several points. He observed her looking at him and laughing several times. Agitated at being treated this way up until this point, he poured the water out. She saw. She approached and said "that's okay, there's a drain and were outside." It wasn't what she said, it was how she said it and they way she ignored him until she couldn't. And then still ignored his response and laughed at him several times. It was not busy, she refused to acknowledge my partner from the door, she heard him say no thank you - the treatment was intentional. We spoke to one of her coworkers anonymously and he confirmed this is not the first time she has been racist towards black people and that people have complained before. She needs to be fired.

After a quick hike in Bernal Park we had brunch here. Very nice patio in the back with great service. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. Overall dishes were as expected with the duck bacon a bit unique. Enjoyed but tasted a bit like processed turkey bacon. Nice place to hang with friends in a great patio

The food was very good and plentiful. Only wish the pulled pork scramble came with a little side of salad or fruit. It got to be quite heavy with potatoes and toast. Service could have been better as sitting in the scorching sun without the umbrellas that were available but not set up so we needed water refilled more often than was noticed. We sat at a rusty metal table next to the kitchen wall. Chairs felt a bit low and uncomfortable. There is a waiting list posted to sign in at then you are asked to wait on the sidewalk. Prices are covid par. No choice of bread offered just white toast.

The back patio of Bernal star is the real winner here. It's secluded but perfectly open The staff is friendly and the service is good We liked their eggs Benedict and chicken sand which. I really like the open salmon sandwich. Portions are perfect, not too big or not small. The selection is great for a weekend brunch.

Absolutely delicious every time I have come in, in person. But I made a pick up order and got the Huevos Rancheros and they sent me scramble eggs, and that's not what I was expecting. I have never ever seen that on huevos rancheros. So I am a little disappointed . Please specify next time if you make an online order, because I was hoping for sunny side up eggs

OMG- the Star is still a shining star!! We ate here 2 nights during a long weekend stay in Bernal Heights and had the best dinners- superb! Delicious salads, cocktails, entrees- of course the Chicken Pot Pie (the BEST) and desserts- tiramisu, flourless chocolate cake, key lime pie. All so yummy and flawlessly prepared. The staff and service are lovely & impeccable. Just love this place which stays great over the years of coming here to a favorite SF hood!

Amazing brunch! Open for dine in and on the patio. The food here was reasonably priced and came out quickly. Not the type of brunch that is greasy and makes you fall in a food coma. Very happy with my meal! :)

This was an amazing experience and the food was delicious. The service was phenomenal, and our server was incredibly friendly, and made the experience even better. I had the pork scramble, and it was a big portion, and my partner had the fried chicken sandwich which tasted very good. The atmosphere was relaxed. 10/10 will definitely return.

We came on a Friday night around 6:20pm and even though the place is pretty small, there were a still a few tables free. Service: 4/5 stars We didn't have to wait long for the server to ask us if we wanted drinks. She also stated what the specials for the night since I didn't even notice the sign outside stating what they were. Server occasionally checked on us, but not super attentive. Filled our water glasses when they saw we were getting low. Food: 3.5/5 stars NY strip steak ($28): 4/5 stars I ordered the NY strip steak with mushrooms and mashed potatoes ($28), and my friend ordered the Lamb burger ($16) with a side of yuca fries ($7). The steak was brought out pretty much medium well done, when I always order steak medium rare for that nice bloody action. Now I don't really like sending stuff back, but the steak looked pretty dry and not really a good piece of steak and the server was nice enough to send it back and have it redone. When it came out the second time it was nice and bloody tender. I don't know if the meat was high quality since I'm not that knowledgeable about the quality of meat, but it was bloody and tender so I was happy. It also had some kind of vinagarette type sauce on it which gave it a nice sweet and sour flavor to it and I was pretty happy with it. Lamb burger ($16): 3/5 I ate a bit of the lamb burger and it really tasted lamby - you can't mistake it for any other type of meat. It was ok, but then again, I'm not that big of a fan of lamb. The disappointing thing about their burgers is that they don't have all the staples of a burger: cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, so this burger was missing that freshness from the lack of tomatoes since it's not included. Yuca fries ($7): 2/5 stars I don't think I've ever ordered yuca fries, but my friend said her mom makes better ones than these. These were pretty big pieces, and were crispy on the outside and sort of fluffy in the inside except the inside kind of also had a stringy texture, which was off-putting. We also ordered mimosas. They were adequate. Cleanliness: 3.5/5 stars The bathroom was ok. There's only one bathroom so if many people need to go, then you are gonna have to wait. Fortunately, there wasn't anyone in the bathroom when I needed to go. Overall: 3/5 stars Would I go back? Probably not, unless it's to try out their brunch since they seem more popular for that, since it's not that close to me and there's so many other places to try out~

The food is tasty and fresh! Would totally recommend :) The service is also very friendly and attentive, the place was really pretty.

The service was slow. It took a very long time to get our hamburgers. The table was dirty and there were flies in the window (we were sitting at the window table). We order water - it was room temperature. I am from the south, we always get ice water. The nicest person in the resturant was the bus boy. My husbands silverware was dirty.

A wonderful hidden gem in Bernal Height, San Francisco. They have a back patio area to dine when the weather is nice. The restaurant is in an old Victorian house full of old time San Francisco charm. They have happy hour 3pm to 6pm every day and weekends as well. The happy hour food menu is tasty, fresh, good price, and good portions. The happy hour house made sangria is tasty and affordable $5. Good prices on the house wine and draft beer. I hesitated to share this place online since I am afraid it will be hard to get a table going forward. At the same time, I would like to continue their operations since I like this place so much.

Five stars for lunch or dinner, 2 for brunch. The patio and cottage are beautiful and their food is quite good in general. We love the artichoke hearts and salads, pot pie, and really most things. Perfect place for a relaxing date or a small group meal. Downside was trying brunch. For the price i could name five better places fairly nearby and the service was lacking. Simple things like having to ask for butter for my toast took a strangely long time and the toast came dry with no butter or jam? My the omelette was bland and the beignets were good but not worth their price at all. Overall a disappointment.

Bad service , no taste on the Mac and cheese or veggie scram or veggie soup . Service we had to beg for everything.. coffee no refill , water , condiments, to go boxes .... On and on

The food was pretty good. But they had a cat roaming around the kitchen and outdoor seating area. We sat inside near the kitchen counter and 3x the cat jumped onto the counter near our table. This is unsanitary and I had to get the waiter to remove the cat several times. I thought maybe it was a stray, that sounds it's way into the restaurant. But it wasn't, the workers seems unbothered and we're familiar w the animal. Needless to say with left early because we lost our appetites. Will never go back.

Great food and service, nice ambiance. If you go early, lots of families with small kids.

We love Bernal Star. The back patio is cute and it's a great place to go with our one year old. We've had both brunch and dinner here and both were delicious. Love seeing everyone's dogs as well.

Chicken Pot Pie: EXCELLENT!!! Almost always get that! Service is usually good. Dog-friendly patio!

Disappointed that they didn't have the turkey burger anymore , so I got the beef burger instead. I was disappointed. For $18 for the burger was super bland. I got the side salad too , it was literally just brown leafs.

We enjoyed a great dinner here last night! We had a group of 8, 5 adults and 3 kids and sat outside under heated lamps. They have a big screen playing kid-friendly movies, which was amazing and kept the kids entertained. We started with a carafe of sangria, which was delicious. For dinner, my son loved his fish and chips with plenty of ketchup, of course. I had the salmon with dairy-free risotto and it was amazing. We ended up getting a second carafe of sangria to finish our meals. Out waitress was wonderful and everyond loved their dinner and drinks. Can't wait to go back!

Tl;dr: A pretty basic neighborhood brunch spot with ok food. +FOOD+ ---Beignets (2.5 stars): The beignets were unimpressive. They were not particularly light, fluffy, or sweet. The raspberry jam is a little too tart and not enough comes with the beignet order... ---Crab cake eggs benedict (2 stars): I was not expecting the crab cake to be fried--! They were just okay crab cakes but it would have been better if they were not fried to go with the poached eggs. Speaking of poached eggs-- one of my eggs was nicely poached, the other one was completely cooked through! What's up with that? The "hollandaise" sauce was suspiciously like the chipotle aioli they serve with some other dishes. For the price, I was not impressed with this dish. The potatoes are decent, though. +EXPERIENCE+ Unfortunately, I found service to be lacking. The raspberry jam was missing from our order of beignets, and it took a while for our waitress to get us our jam so our beignets went cold. Water was not refilled very often. Our waitress also did not check in on us about our food. The outdoor patio area for brunch is nice, but it gets a little cramped when all the tables are filled.
