Bernie's Burger Bus

The burgers were decent. The fries were just okay. It’s a bit pricey for a burger place. We ordered two burgers, one fountain drink, one water and shared a regular fries. After tips, We spent nearly 40 bucks on a meal for two. Our burgers were not from grass fed beef. If you wanted grass fed, it cost extra. The homemade ketchup was too sweet for my taste. Overall it was a decent experience, but it wouldn’t be my first pick for a burger place.

My parents are in town and we decided to try a new burger place. Picked Bernie's as I had seen them on the top 12 burger places for the area. We were extremely impressed! The only con was the place is a bit noisy since they have concrete floors and basically nothing to absorb sound. Now to the good. The food is amazing! I had a Cheerleader and it was cooked perfectly medium well as I ordered. And the onion rings, until now the best onion rings, IMO, were Sonic. Now it's Bernie's. They were absolutely perfectly cooked and had a nice, crunchy texture and the flavor was awesome. All of our burgers were perfectly cooked. The fries were great and plentiful. And their aioli was some of the best I've tasted. They make everything from scratch, including the ketchup and mustard. You could just look at the ketchup and tell it was not your average, store bought. Nice, dark red color and just the right thickness. Their iced tea was delicious. Many restaurants have basically colored water for tea. Bernie's tea is strong enough to know you're drinking tea. The service was excellent and at the end of the meal the manager came over to chat with us. He gave us a brief history of the place and how it got it's name. Explained about the home-made everything. We will definitely be going back, this is our new favorite burger place in Houston.

First off the chili cheese fries were amazing! I should have just stopped there but I wanted to try one of their burgers as well. The Dr pepper was nice and fizzy which is always a plus. But when the burger came it was just so...meh...like all these "unique" burger places the burger ends up becoming a nice slop after 1 to 3 bites and just drenched my fingers with sauce and condiments . I don't think it's too picky to want my burger to stay intact while I eat it. The burger wasn't bad per say it just wasn't anything worth remembering.

1st time coming here , and GOD the burgers are DELICIOUS!! the patty was juicy and well. The season was blended evenly throughout the patty, the buns where savory and soft, and the sweet potato Frye. Ohhh does frys were crispy to perfection. I will definitely be back!

We just found the absolute tastiest burger ever...not just in Houston...not just in Texas...but the best burger of all time! Like in the history of the world!! Very attentive service, clean restaurant inside and out, ice cold craft beers, amazing shakes, and the burgers... Oh... My... Goodness! Thank you dear sweet baby Jesus for leading us to Bernie's Burger Bus. If you've got the appetite and the courage, definitely try tacking Detention. (You'll know it when you see it) Cheers and happy eating!

Went to try it with my husband and it was love at first bite. When I say their meat is seasoned, it was seasoned. The burgers aren’t sloppy, they’re a great size and the flavor is next level. I ordered two burgers and lunch lady French fries. Small fries portion was big enough for 2 adults. And the milkshake was so much they gave me the extra in a cup 😍😍. This place may be a little pricey, but it’s worth every penny.

The service was excellent. The food was outstanding. The whole experience was delightful and I cant wait to go back. I shared a Detention, Look this burger up... WOW is all I can say. Cooked to perfection and the truffle fries, oh yes.

The staff here is great. The guy that helped us made us feel very welcomed and he took the time to give us suggestions for our first time eating here. The meat is cooked to preference. We decided to share our Detention burger and they gladly split the burger in two pieces. The half burger along with the fries had us stuffed in the end. The portions are great, this was more than enough for 2 of us. Prices can run a bit pricey, but I'm sure I'll be back for more.
