During a recent conference in Tampa, I decided to try this restaurant after noticing an enticing happy hour sign visible from the street. Unfortunately, my experience didn't quite live up to expectations.
Upon entering, I took a seat at the bar, but the service left much to be desired. The bartender was neither friendly nor accommodating, and I couldn't shake the feeling that I was not welcomed. This lack of hospitality set a disappointing tone for the rest of the visit.
I ordered the seafood pasta and a drink. While the dish arrived piping hot, it fell short in terms of flavor. Most notably, the shrimp still had the tails on, which was an inconvenience in a pasta dish--something I found unacceptable for a restaurant specializing in pasta. When I requested fresh Parmesan, I was surprised to learn that they didn't offer any, further detracting from the overall experience.
The drinks were average, and while the ambiance was passable, it didn't particularly stand out. The cleanliness of the bathrooms could also have been improved. All in all, it was a less-than-remarkable experience, and I'm not sure I would return. Although it wasn't a total loss, there's certainly room for improvement in both service and attention to detail.
