Bern's & the beans

This is a wonderful place! We had breakfast and they opened the kitchen early for us. We had the Berns English Breakfast. It was a culinary experience masterpiece. You receive a breadboard with delicious fresh sourdough and beans with fresh butter. On the plate is a large, well presented breakfast. The streaky bacon perfectly cooked and not over salted pairs perfectly with a sweet tomato. The black pudding isn’t as intense as shop bought with more layers of flavour. The sausage was of brilliant flavour with a hint of chorizo. Topped with pea shoots. Overall fantastic, will come again. This may be one of the best meals we have ever eaten and well worth the price! (Maybe even under priced!)

Had the full English. FYI Swapped my beans for extra mushroom. Sourdough toast came with soft salted butter and a drizzle of olive oil.sausages were immaculate. Bacon was crispy salty and complemented the meal, eggs were fluffy and buttery, mushrooms were meaty, with a grilled char, perfect. They ran out of brown sauce and were thoughtful enough to run next door and get me some 🤣 so can't complain. Owners are from the east end also! So as walthamstow welcomes global commercial companies lets also support local!

Been here many times. It is still evolving and doing that very well. Owners and staff are all lovely people. Can be a little wait if they busy but it is worth that wait. Had delicious omelette, egg&bacon sandwiches, jacket potato. Have no complaints all very filling and tasty. Pricing comparable. Get value for money. Best part is they are extremely dog friendly. As we have 2 this is a bonus. We can stop off with dogs instead of having to take them home first. Keep up good work Mike and Cathy & Co.

This place offers delicious homely classic food. The chef has crafted a menu that offers a selection of generous tasty portions. Boasts alfresco dining aswell as indoor space. In addition offers refreshing cocktails. The service is outstanding really welcoming, it's a family run business which is lovely. I have visited a few times with the family and would highly recommended.

Just had a quick meal at Bern's. The burger was absolutely delicious and the best I've had in the area, by far! The service staff and chefs (spoke to the chefs after) were great. Super nice and helpful. Will definitely be back soon!

Really good full English and vegetarian breakfast. Presentation and taste was excellent.

Kathy and Mike are amazingly hospitable, such a lovely vibe at Berns and Beans! The smashed burger was one of the best we’ve had in ages and Mike’s mum’s Guyanese hot sauce was unreal. Can’t wait to come back for the Sunday roast and comedy night. Big shout out to Lola the dog too! Caroline & Symone

Oh my ...what a find. The stand up was on last night and I went along with my stand up friend. Amazing. We got there early and the welcome was incredible. The venue takes yo back to those exotic holidays. The owners are great. We had a home cooked pizza. Fab The stand up was the best fun Amazing talent was there. A lot of the acts were off to Edinburgh amd competitions. Dont live in london, but I'll definitely be ping back going back for luncheon woth friends and more stand up in yhe future. Highly recommended.
