Ed Sheeran’s Notting Hill Restaurant Bertie Blossoms, Reviewed | Eater London

"An eccentric, visually over-the-top Notting Hill project that feels intentionally daft: interiors mix an overbright chandelier, municipal-green paint, faux trophy heads and portraits of Elvis and Dolly Parton, while a bemusing, hip wine list seems curiously disconnected from the food. The menu lacks coherent narrative and seldom delivers — lamb meatballs are the faint high point, while dishes descend into marshy, overloaded risotto with rubbery Manchego and flatbreads that assault the palate (notably a salt-beef, sauerkraut and mustard ‘Reuben’ and a tandoori-chicken with curried hummus that reads like a fridge-afterparty concoction). Singular and comical rather than hateable, the place is a stubborn, copper-bottomed weirdo that nevertheless provokes bemused fascination." - George Reynolds

Ed Sheeran’s New Notting Hill Restaurant Is Not Good Says Jimi Famurewa | Eater London

"Housed in a lived-in, personal, laid-back space that generates a beer-loosened party atmosphere, this celebrity-backed bar-restaurant initially impresses on vibe alone, but the short, waywardly Mediterranean menu largely underwhelms. Baby artichokes arrive as pale, oil-steeped nubbins lacking briny freshness; mushroom risotto is a claggy, unappetising puddle made worse by a mealy hazelnut garnish; and gnarled lamb meatballs are only marginally better, offering a slightly repeaty, home-cooked comfort rather than refinement. While the owner’s fame will draw crowds, the place needs a few consistently decent dishes to turn first-timers into regulars." - George Reynolds

I cannot emphasize the great time i had at Bertie's. I'm an Ed Sheeran Fan and only went there because it felt like a spot i should visit (ed owns the place), but i wasn't expecting to have such a great service and time there. The locals that night were such kind people and the service and attention i received from Maisie and Belen was TOP NOTCH! The drinks were really great and i know i'll be back to try the food 👏🏻 Oh and the place was really beautiful and smelt amazing lol

Every time I visit London I eat at Bertie Blossoms as many times as I can, it’s such a wonderful place to eat and drink. The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. I love the emerald green and vintage decor. The large gorgeous painting above the stairs has been a pretty great addition too :) food & the drinks are always perfection. I can always count on getting my Vinca wine fix when I’m there. I love that items on the menu change, there is always something new to look forward to. And the staff, they are absolutely incredible! Bertie Blossoms has done such an amazing job hiring some of the most amazing people out there. They go above and beyond to make sure that you are taken care of and feel at home

My first time arriving yesterday. I was not disappointed, food was hot and fresh and well priced. Drinks were cold and delicious. The staff were attentive and polite. Music playing in the background was on point, lots of regular customers turning up, all know staff members names which was endearing. Over all a really pleasant experience and I will be returning. Other bonus points go to, a clean and spacious unisex toilet, and the kitchen is open to observe, which looked spotless.

The food here was truly excellent. It was a pleasant change of pace, and the staff was very accommodating to our toddler. Although it was a very warm day, the seating area in the back near the kitchen was a bit too warm, so we opted to sit outside. However, we were positioned directly under the speakers, and the music was a little too loud for a comfortable conversation.

I can say this, I don’t ever remember such great delicious food, wonderful atmosphere (its cozy), people that work there are so friendly, sweet and kind. The service was fantastic, I was there 6/30/2022 Thursday dinner time. I felt comfortable like being at my Best friends place. Oh wow drinks are so deliciously good (had Vinca, as well) I was myself there enjoying the music (80’s) I will never forget how each dish we had tasted so delicious. From the starter, main dish (cod fish, delicious), to dessert. Great Food, Drinks, people (who work there), service. Great place everyone, please go and enjoy 😊

Very friendly staff and it has a lovely atmosphere. The drinks menu is very extensive and I would recommend visiting the bar here. The food left a bit to be desired for me sadly, especially given the price. The fish and chips were a bit burnt and I felt they could have done with a bit more salt (no salt on the table sadly). The mushy peas were a bit too much like squashed garden peas. The turkey was pretty nice though! FYI for parents, there is no kids menu and the small plates aren't really appropriate for kids. One adult meal will probably do two, maybe even three kids! Decorations are absolutely lovely. Would highly recommend for an intimate Christmas party!

It was our first time having dinner at Bertie blossom. The food is just spectacular, every single dish is in its way special, delicious. The waitress was super kind and forthcoming. Thank you for excepting to make us Mojito‘s, they were the best we ever had! We really felt welcome at the restaurant. Thank you so much

Yelp
We came here for drinks when the bar first opened and I'd say it was ok, not great. We each had a couple drinks and while good, nothing above average. Service was ok, but I wouldn't call the servers friendly. They pretty much just served us without comment. Maybe it was because the bar just opened and they were still setting up, but it was a little odd. Did not eat any food here, so cannot comment on that.

Yelp
Newsflash: Ed Sheeran opens pub on Notting Hill! This is Bertie Blossoms on a grey November day... it's neither a pub nor is the North end of Portobello Road strictly located in Notting Hill... It actually didn't look any more inviting or buzzing on Saturday night either when a couple of friends and I decided to pop in for a drink. Despite being more than half empty with the perfect stretch along the bar to easily accommodate us, we were greeted with "let me check with the manager whether we have any space"... needless to say, we didn't hang around for the boss' verdict and moved on. This is the new "friendly neighbourhood dining concept" (according to @bertie_blossoms on Instagram) replacing a truly friendly and local Spanish restaurant that never turned anyone away, no matter how crammed the once cosy dining room. ... we moved on to David Beckham's pub, the Walmer Castle, which is still a pub and located in actual Notting Hill

Yelp
We came to Bertie Blossoms on July 12th for our honeymoon and had the BEST time! From minute we walked in the staff was all so friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding, and the drinks were delicious! One of the espresso martinis I have ever had! They were also playing good music. Overall great vibe here! My husband and I cannot recommend this place enough! If you are in London it is worth the trip to Portobello Road to dine here!

Yelp
Very pleasant place to sit at the bar and have a few drinks with friends. Staff was great and the drinks weren't too pricey. I'll update this review when I actually sit down for a meal there. Didn't have time this trip. Definitely be back.
