I was getting takeout for the first time at this location (just moved to the area). I placed a takeout order that gave me an estimate of 20 minutes. When i got to the restaurant i had to wait an additional 35 minutes for a chicken parm that was cooked horribly. Textured like rubber (refer to picture).

Excellent restaurant for casual Italian dining. We got the luncheon special of spaghetti pomodorro, and it came with a salad and unlimited rolls. The portion sizes were huge, the food was delicious, and the price was very affordable. Great ambiance with comfortable, spacious seating. The server Patrick was very accomodating.

Awful. Ordered pizza here, it’s not cheap. Came so overcooked I couldn’t eat it. Pizza wasn’t even sliced properly, could pick it up in one piece. This is my second and last time ever eating here.

This place used to be the "go to" place at 1 time. But after tonight, I don't think I'll go back. I waited maybe 20 mins before we were seated.. I'll take into consideration that my server was busy, but the service was terrible. They couldn't get my entree, correct? I ordered fettuccine Alfredo and they ran out of Alfredo sauce. I opted for red sauce. They brought it out and they still forgot my chicken. That was supposed to come with it...I ordered Half Moon mozzarella sticks. I ended up getting mozzarella sticks.. also brought the entrees out before the appetizers... you always get dinner rolls. First, we got 4 rolls. And the server never followed up with us. I had to ask him a different server for a box to take the rest of the food home. Poor service I don't think I'll let it go back.

I had such a great experience thanks to our server, Nick! From the moment we were seated, he was friendly, attentive, and made us feel totally welcome. He had great recommendations, kept everything running smoothly, and checked in just the right amount—never too much, never too little. You could tell he genuinely cared about making our night enjoyable. Nick’s positive energy and professionalism really stood out. I've been dining at this specific Bertuccis for ten years. This evening, we had the best Bertuccis experience we've ever had. Service was sharp, salads were crisp, bread was right out of the oven, and the entrees were delicious. It was fairly crowded but everything came quickly. Well done all around. We'll be back.

Workers were great and pizza was delicious. We could have gone without the string of racist speech by the white manager tho. Kinda kills the vibe when you need to overhear that kind of BS when you're just tryna eat your dinner rolls. Said something and got met with a bunch of white fragility.

I am a long time fan of Bertucci's, but had never visited this location before. Our visit was unusual since in other locations, I've had great things to say about both the food and service, but not so much at this location. When we arrived, the restaurant was very quiet with only a few customers at the bar and only a couple of tables full. After standing at the empty hosting area for a few minutes, someone came over to seat us. We requested a booth for our party of three, and she pointed to the bar area stating that we could have a booth if we would sit in the bar area. Not a problem, but strange since the restaurant was nearly empty and there were several booths available in the main dining area. We headed over to the bar area booth and she told us she would be over shortly with menus. I guess everyone has a different definition of shortly. In this case, it took nearly 10 minutes for her to bring our menus to us. At first I thought the restaurant was short staffed since the same person who acted as hostess also brought us our menus and also appeared to be the bartender. However, I counted at least 4 other employees working in the the dining area, so I don't think staffing was the problem. We ordered drinks: 2 soft drinks and 1 canned hard lemonade seltzer. The soft drinks arrived quickly in glasses with ice and straws. The canned seltzer was served just with the can. No glass, no ice, no straw. I asked for ice, and the response was "Oh, I guess you want it in the glass". Strange again, and never was offered a straw. My husband's soda was empty pretty early in our meal, but he wasn't offered a refill and had to eventually ask for one. The Bertucci's rolls are delicious and we were happy to have rolls and dipping oil delivered to our table. In other Bertucci's, we've been asked if we wanted refills on rolls, but that didn't happen here, and the empty roll basket sat on our table for quite awhile, as did the empty salad bowls and empty dinner plates later on. Our food order was finally taken, and after that it took nearly 20 minutes for our salads to arrive. Our entrees took a long time to arrive as well, and when I received mine (Shrimp Rossini with crispy chicken instead of shrimp), it did not look at all like the same meal that I have ordered several times in other Bertucci's locations. The sauce was not creamy, and instead of crispy chicken, there were small pieces of chicken that looked like they were shredded and tasted really weird - like they were frozen or old or something was just off. The Parmesan was all melted together in one giant glob, which made me think that the dish had been sitting under a warmer for an extended period of time. The server who brought our meal to the table was different than the person who took our order, and he said that the breading had maybe fallen off the chicken, but that was absolutely not the case. He told me that the kitchen would bring me a breaded chicken cutlet, but it took until our original server came back and me explaining it again for that to happen. My husband's make your own calzone was good, and my daughter's chicken piccata was also good. The portions were sizeable and we had enough to take home. After quite awhile, or server came back and asked if we wanted boxes. We said yes and she said she would be right back with them. I watched as she did no less than 5 other tasks (such as delivering rolls to a table, taking an order, delivering a pizza to a table, delivering drinks to a table, and then drinks to another table) before returning with boxes. It was a similar experience with the check. All in all, it took over an hour and 30 minutes for our meal - just entrees with salads - no appetizers, no desserts, and there were long delays every step of the way. I love Bertucci's, but this experience was pretty dreadful, with both food and service, and I would not recommend this location to anyone.

I went to Bertucci's take out on a Friday. The service by the counter staff was amazing. My family and I frequent this location so it's beyond me why a pizza just under 30.00 in cost was not cooked to perfection. I make the trip with the expectation that my pizza will always be better than a Domino's or Pizza Hut...however, today that was not the case. Im disappointed that I was already home when I realized the pizza was over cooked. Bertucci's...tell the cooks to pay attention and watch the timers or something! On the menu tonight CRISY DARK SPORKIE. I'm annoyed and it's WAY too cold to venture back out. I guess the good part is it's burnt enough to break of all the crispy crust.

I will begin this review stating I did get my meal credited. Yet I will never go there again. Not only was it empty at lunch time which I was surprised, my husband works next door and never sees anyone inside. My so called eggplant sandwich cold due to the waitress talking to others at the bar but I got the smallest piece of eggplant. It was a quarter the size of my palm . The bread was so thick I left it all. The manager and waitress could have cared about my situation. Do not bother going in! Order on line ! Good Luck. !!!

I hate to leave a negative review but I feel compelled to warn people not to spend their money here. My friend and I visited on a weeknight that seemed slow, less than 5 tables. We were seated quickly at a very sticky table and handed sticky menus. We ordered two $25 plates of pasta. Amazing quantity, not great quality. Bland mush. Our server only came to the table to take our drink and food orders and handle the check. Our water stayed empty throughout the meal and weirdly he took my card to swipe it at their POS system without letting me see itemized bill first. Proceed with caution!

Had a small margarita pizza. A frozen pizza purchased at a grocery store would have cost a third of the price and tasted better than what was served. Had a Tito's and tonic which I sent back, worst drink I've ever had in a restaurant. Also it took forever to get our drinks. Will not go there again.

My take out service was ya ! Manger bitching moaning about employees not showing up.. don't need to hear that ! My chicken sandwich was dry and pink to me not good chicken they're buying. My salad was wilted cucumbers had to throw out not edible.The dressing was container had alittle in it not even close to enough learn to fill the containers properly. I won't go back to the one on the VFW Parkway.ps bathrooms were disgusting. Learn to clean them.

Had a wonderful pre new years night at bertuccis! We love this place it's our go to. Our server/bartender Finn was prompt, polite, friendly and efficient. The evening was perfect and the food was great. It was super delicious as usual. And the place always look lovely.

Fantastic! The food!! The service!!! Even the music set a beautiful tone for lunch, relaxing as well as entertaining!!! Our servers for my daughter's Bridal shower were Izzy and Ashley...they were lovely and professional. The manager Chuck was very accommodating, which made the occasion so very special. Truly the best restaurant in Chestnut Hill/West Roxbury.

The appetizer (Tuscan Chicken Wings) was good but, the main entrées weren't. My husband and I usually frequent Bertucci's in Braintree and stopped by this location. It wasn't busy so service was quick. I ordered chicken picatta and he had the farmhouse salad with salmon. Neither dish was palatable. I usually take my food home but left a full plate. We were offered free dessert and my husband left a nice tip. We will not be back.

Went out to eat tonight here with my boyfriend. Our server was super sweet, no hate to him at all but he was not super attentive and didn't pre bus the table throughout our stay at all so we were eating with our dirty dishes on our table the entire time, despite the fact that I had stacked them up and put them on the edge of the table for him to easily grab. That sucked but not the biggest deal. Our water tasted disgusting, genuinely don't know how to put it into words. It was absolutely gross my boyfriend couldn't swallow it and I wished I hadn't. We told our server about it which he apologized for, but didn't offer any resolution. We tried to order the 1L of bottled water, but our server told us they didn't have any and only had the 500mL which was $6. So me and my boyfriend split that and did not want to spend $12 on water so we were left to ration out the one bottle. In my opinion, (being a server and bartender for years now), the bottled water should've been free. That's what I would've done as a server anyway. When our entrees came out parts of my pasta were cold and then in the middle it was warm, I was so confused it reminded me of a microwaved dinner that needed more time in the microwave. I let my server know, but also added that I wasn't mad and was just going to mix the pasta around to hopefully have the warm temperature evenly distributed throughout the dish. He apologized for the inconvenience. Again, as a server myself, I would've told a manager or sent one over to try and give some resolution. Granted I said I wasn't mad, but if it was an older Karen I promise you it would've been much more of a problem. Being someone who works in the service industry I am very understanding but to a certain extent. Our server was kind to us which is always appreciated but overall this location is lacking in their standards as a company.

I have been going to Bertucci's for over a decade Tonight, I picked up an order to go for my family. I politely asked the woman, Ruby, if she could add a couple extra rolls. Ruby rudely snipped back that she had done that already and there were plant of rolls. She snipped back that she had put 8 rolls in with the order. I went home with the order. There were half that many. I spoke to a person named Chris who claimed he was the manager. He apologized for her behavior but he didn't sound like he cared. Now the food is not as good as it used to be. I think that adding rudeness is probably not what drives success in a business.

Ordered a Farmhouse salad with Balsamic dressing, Tuscan wings, & chicken piccata. Asked for butter and oil for the rolls. Wings were great. Got an insalata salad instead of farmhouse, only had lettuce, a few tomatoes, & a few sliced onions with no dressing. The chicken piccata had 2 small pieces of chicken, not much sauce and very little capers. No butter or oil for the rolls. Not a good experience. It all tasted fine but no attention to detail.

We love going to lunch at this restaurant in West Roxbury with my mother, who lives in assisted living. The rolls are delicious, and we love our pizza with chicken, pesto, and spinach. The ensalata salad is yummy, and it's nice that it includes cucumbers. It would be nice if coffee was available consistently. We love the service of Samantha, Finn, and Karen. They are super friendly and are always attentive to our particular needs. I hope this restaurant remains a nice family friendly place, where you can linger and chat. I would not like it if it became a fast food place!

We had the worst experience at the West Roxbury location late yesterday afternoon. When a mouse ran across the floor we should have left then. We told the waiter and he said it is a problem and they haven't been able to get pest control out. That is crazy. The food was horrible. We had Fettuccine Alfredo and Eggplant Parma. The pasta for one of the dishes was so starchy, it was like it was soaked in hot water for way too long and the other dish's pasta was dried out like it was sitting out over night. The eggplant was under cooked and the cheese was nasty tasting. In hind sight, we should have complained at the restaurant. What a waste of $50. This location has always been a mixed bag but this was down right unacceptable. City will be called about the pest problem and we will never return to this restaurant.

I just finished the pizza that I watched on a warming area for 5 minutes I expected a notification from somebody that I selected when I ordered and the guy that watched me come in an stand there never even asked about an order being ready. Don't use yelp to order anything from bertuccis. It doesn't work.

At the West Roxbury, MA location, the food (5 meatballs, eggplant parmigiana, Tiramisu) was excellent and the service by Ted was pleasant. They do not have any competition, and they should make some changes to fill the place up. Suggestions: make it a sports bar, with TV sets above an oval bar in the center of the room and on the dining room walls; add a Keno TV to get folks to stick around longer; close off the kitchen to keep cooking fumes out of the dining area; add some LED bar lighting, like: "It's Always Five O'Clock Somewhere"; and add photos of some local sports figures. As an example, check out the set-up at the Boston Tavern on Route 1 South in Norwood. They are lucky enough to have adequate parking available, and they should make the most of it.

Our experience at this Bertucci's was excellent! The food was very tasty. We ordered chicken piccatta, fire roasted vegetables, mac and cheese and chicken fingers. A big shout out to our amazing waiter Dakota! He's the best. Dakota made sure we had everything, our food came out hot and timely, our beverage cups were always full and he had a great sense of humor. My daughter said he was the nicest waiter ever!...the entire family agrees!!

Over an hour to get a large pizza and a salad at pickup. Not good. When we eat there the service is usually just decent. The pizza is always good and it's close to where I live so I just hope they fix their carry out side of things. Maybe send out a notification when the order is ready for pickup instead of saying it will be ready at certain time and then it's not and you have to wait with other upset customers for almost an hour.

Usually the service is at least pretty good. Today I just stopped in to buy a dozen rolls. Waited almost 10 minutes just for someone to come out to the takeout desk. Took my order And went back to the kitchen. Came out in about 4 minutes and told me the rolls would be 15 minutes. When they were done, he just plopped the bag on the counter and pretty much just nodded at me. I think this may have been the manager.

What happened here? Went here today and we have been here many times but I must say I was not impressed today. The bathrooms could really need help, the ladies room really needed attention. (I will spare you the details)The mens room: the lock was broken on the door and the bathroom brush was on the floor, does not leave a good impression. The food was very bland where it used to be spicy and flavorful. The rolls were hard as a rock. The salad was good. The prices have gone way up as they have everywhere. Will we be back? mmm not to this one. Our waitress was definitely stressed, she was very busy with other tables and forgot us, she was working a lot of tables but still you want some attention. Bertucci's you disappointed us today

The pizza was strictly OK. What i did not like: Too many olives, the big chunks of broccoli tasted steamed not roasted. The peppers were not roasted well enough. The pizza was too greasy - when i lifted the slices off the pizza box, i could see a lot of grease. Also noticed that this pizza had no tomato base. What i liked: Generous portion of vegetables.

So, have t been to a bertuccis in a while but mum had a gift certificate so we went there. My wife and son are coming separately. the place is basically empty with about 1/4 of the tables filled. rules are rules though and we are not allowed to sit down h til the other two show up. might be petty, but I don't consider that customer service. I'll have my lunch and won't be back.

I had dinner there early last night. There were five of us, so we were seated in a corner booth. As soon as we sat down, I noticed there were paper straw covers on the seats, dirty napkins on the floor, crayons on the seat and on the floor, and a used fork stuck between the seat cushions. as well! Because it was sunset and the sun was in our eyes, , we adjusted the blinds and noticed they were covered in dust. Later on, when we walked into the ladies room, we noticed right away paper towels strewn on the bathroom floor. My sister couldn't stand it, so cleaned them. A call to the Board of Health is in order, given the lack of cleanliness. One of our diners ordered Chicken Parmesan. The chicken was over-cooked and the bottom was burnt. The rest of us found our dinners to be satisfactory.

I rarely write reviews. When I do, it's because I've engaged in an extremely positive or negative experience. My last few minutes at Bertucci's was the latter. I went in to pick up two dough balls. After waiting twenty minutes, I mentioned I was confused about not having received the product. It was as if I'd never ordered it. While the young women at the register was very bright and cheerful, the manager was downright surly as he went back and brought out the dough. When I said, "Thanks so much," he merely glared at me. Goodbye Bertucci's....I can get pizzas and dough in lots of other places.

We needed a venue for a repass after a funeral for Monday afternoon, September 25, 2023. We stopped by Monday September 18 to tell the manager we'd be visiting in a week with about 20 guests. He nodded and wrote on a pad of paper. We stopped by a second time a couple days later to tell the same manager we might start arriving closer to 1:30 PM on the following Monday. He nodded but was aloof. Today we started arriving at 1:30 PM, as planned. There were 22 of us and 21 of us were in by 1:50 PM, the other arriving not long after. The backroom which had been guaranteed to us was unswept with crumbs and small pieces of paper everywhere. No tables were prepared. The staff had not been told a large party was coming in. It was the same manager all three times. I know his name but will keep it out of this review. Izzy saved the day. Izzy was incredible as she tended to all 22 of us, and with a cheerful demeanor. If it was just her, this would be a glowing 5 star review. Thank you, Izzy! The kitchen also did a phenomenal job, preparing all the orders. They should be applauded. The support staff was very good. And someone had to clean up after we left, which would require a lot of work. We spent $779.57. We won't be back.

Place is the best. For anyone who has allergies, they make sure to inform the kitchen and wipe everything down. The manager has come over personally to assure us, which I think is great. The servers are all very friendly & attentive, the food is comforting and gives you a sense of being at home. Whether you chose the pizza, the pasta or the wings, they're all cooked to order and done very well. I remember this place from childhood and I've continued to support it throughout the years. I hope they stay for many more to come.

We now remember why we stopped going to Bertuccis. Order placed at 1:30 and told 20 min. Arrived and was told few more minutes - 4 times. At an hour it is discovered the order never went through the kitchen. Mistakes happen but the attitudes like it was our fault? 65 minutes later walk out w no food and no apology and awful customer service. NEVER AGAIN In response to Bertuccis. I did reach out. I spoke w manager and I sent an email yo corporate. And have heard nothing.

This food had no flavor when it's hot this shit makes me want to throw up and feed it to my dog. My dog wouldn't even like this shit. The waitresses are fucking rude. They have nasty attitudes. zero out of 10 wouldn't recommend . And the bathrooms are even worse.

Had terrible service from a server by the name of Kristie she barely came to our table and was just sitting in the booth texting on the cellphone and our food was cold on top of that I will never come back here again

DID YOU NOT SEE THIS??? I see he is still there. WTH I have been a customer here about 6 or 7 times in the past year and although food is good and servers and takeout people are very friendly and accommodating, I heard a manager using a the N word when engaged in conversation with one of the employees. I thought I had heard it wrong at first, but my husband heard it as well.

I've been going to this Bertucci's for six years with my dad and just started going with my little brother that's six months old! Best place ever!
