The 23 Best Date Night Restaurants In London Right Now - London - The Infatuation

"Berut Bistro is a small, warm Lebanese restaurant in Marylebone where the friendly servers rush around to make space, pushing tables together, and replacing plates of caramelised beef-topped hummus that have been wiped clean with plates of crispy golden falafel in a silky tahini sauce. The slick bar works best for a casual, but impressive, date, where you'll want to get liberal with ordering. The ultimate test? If they give you the last crunchy, nutty kibbe." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, heidi lauth beasley

Where To Go For A Summer Date - London - The Infatuation

"You’re a few dates in and it’s taking every fibre of your being not to offer up the right side of your bed at the casual mention of their lease ending next month. Play it cool. Book a couple of counter seats at this casual but impressive Lebanese spot in Marylebone. Impress them with your ordering—get the crisp fattoush salad, creamy hummus topped with glossy pieces of beef, and some of London’s best falafel. And avoid any talk of moving in until you see how they react to splitting osmaliyeh for dessert." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak

Berut Bistro - Review - Marylebone - London - The Infatuation

"Berut Bistro is a small, warm Marylebone restaurant where the friendly servers rush around to make space, pushing tables together, and replacing plates of caramelised beef-topped hummus that have been wiped clean with plates of crispy golden falafel in a silky tahini sauce. Around the high counter, friends sit side by side, tucking into crisp fattoush salads—tangy and sweet from the generous amount of pomegranate molasses—and recounting their work days and life updates while splitting a shish taouk skewer. Although the slick bar works nicely for a casual, but impressive, third date, we prefer coming here in a small group and sitting in the adorable four-person window nook. That way you can get really liberal with ordering. Which is ideal because it’s one of the best Lebanese restaurants in the city and we’re big fans of the dip section of the menu, as well as the small plates with things like crunchy kibbe and creamy roasted aubergine fatteh. It’s a popular place, so don’t expect to lounge around for hours—although you’ll really wish you could. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute Food Rundown Hummus Ras Asfour Thick, creamy hummus, topped with glossy pieces of tender beef chunks. This is an excellent starter. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Kibbe A crispy bulgur shell, filled with spiced, nutty meat. This is warming and satisfying, and you should dip it into the accompanying tzatziki, to add a nice freshness. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Falafel Some of the best falafel we’ve had in London. These perfect little two-biters are crispy and moreish. The chopped pickles in tahini is a really, really nice touch. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Aubergine Fatte Light and refreshing, this yoghurty dish has a lovely meatiness from the aubergine chunks and the chickpeas make it satisfying. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Fattoush The chef is heavy-handed with the pomegranate molasses, which makes this fattoush excellent. It’s citrussy, salty, sweet, and tangy, and you should have a couple of these on your table if you’re in a group. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Tabboule This parsley-heavy tabboule is a refreshing and citrussy salad, and one of the best we've had in a restaurant. photo credit: Aleksandra Borucht Slow-Roasted Lamb This is our favourite of the ‘bigger plates’. The lamb is slow-cooked and extremely tender, and the gravy is great poured all over the rice. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak

Beirut Bistro in central London is an outstanding Lebanese restaurant that truly impressed me with its atmosphere, menu variety, and overall quality. The environment is warm, inviting, and beautifully reflective of authentic Middle Eastern culture. The menu offers an excellent selection of classic Lebanese dishes, from flavourful mezze options like hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, and kibbeh to perfectly grilled mains that are tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and carefully presented, capturing the true essence of Lebanese cuisine. The staff were polite, attentive, and very well-mannered, creating a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. A special highlight was the manager, Mohi, whose professionalism, friendliness, and genuine hospitality added an extra touch to the visit. Overall, Beirut Bistro delivers great food, wonderful service, and a memorable experience that I would highly recommend.

There is absolutely no need to write a huge review about Berut Bistro! It’s a MUST visit! We travelled all the way from 1 hour and 10 minutes away to dine here and it was worth every minute. The staff were providing an excellent service but the food was the highlight of our night. Every single dish had so much flavour! You couldn’t stop eating! The best part? We spend only £30 per person but we had ordered a lot of food! 3 of us took food home for the next day! As this was out first time and the portions are huge (rare for London locations) I would recommend the waiter taking the order to help and explain to a big group what to order and how much of each dish. A few suggestions and tips would have helped us to not order as much. Not complaining though, I am sure we will enjoy it tomorrow! Thank you Berut Bistro Team!

We went with high expectations based on the reviews. We ordered plain hummus, fattoush, chicken tawouk, and lahme meshwe. The hummus and fattoush were really good. The chicken was tender, but not something I would describe as exceptional, and the lamb skewer was quite ordinary — nothing particularly special about it. We paid around £35–40 per person, which felt a bit expensive considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. I also found the Google rating somewhat exaggerated. It’s definitely not a bad place, but I wouldn’t call it outstanding either.

Finally visited Berut Bistro with my mum and dad. We weren’t disappointed. We arrived staving after visiting the national gallery and greeted with a smile and wonderful hospitality. We’ve been offered some water and tried the fresh lemonade to relieve our thirst. We decided to start with some warm flat bread, classic hummus (so creamy), falafel with a dip and some pickles. Followed by freekeh salad with pomegranate and cheese and slow cooked lamb with aromatic rice to die for. We shared a berut cloud for dessert. Amazing experience! Just what we needed after a tiring day.

Modern twist on traditional Lebanese dishes, food was excellent highly enjoyed the Sayadyah "grilled fish" very tasty. Seatings are a bit uncomfortable perhaps they don't want you to stay that long but I was facing the sink it was a bit awkward watching the staff wash the dishes infront of me.

A charming and cozy spot in Marylebone with warm service and truly delicious food! Don’t miss the hummus with meat and the arayes kafta — both are outstanding! A well-deserved five stars for this excellent Lebanese restaurant!
