Came here on sunday before we went to the paramount for a show. Me and my wife loved the menu and we're excited to eat there. The restaurant was a little dark and we also felt rushed. They brought out the chips and salsa and the guacamole too fast and felt pressured to order our entree. The meals were very delicious. My wife's skirt steak was cooked perfectly and the sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco were absolutely delicious.

All the food was very good. Generous portions. Guacamole was excellent . Cocktails are very good as well. My grade is 87. No complaints I probably would go back again.

This was truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The service was friendly and welcoming and the food was divine. I had the “arrechera” hopefully I wrote that right. It was a perfectly seasoned and cooked steak with delicious corn, arugula and pomegranate salad. Drool worthy, the guacamole was so tasty and fresh. I also went with the flan for dessert and it was excellent. I cannot gush about this place enough. Going out to eat is one of my favorite things to do and it’s such a let down when everything is just “okay” when food is this good you need to tell everyone. I will absolutely be back! I know I want to try more off their menu but I might need to get this steak a few more times! I couldn’t recommend this enough! Oh, I also had a spicy drink that was wonderful. 10/10 !!

Google
I had such a great time. I went on a Saturday night with no reservation and was seated quickly. Our server was friendly gave recommendations. The drinks were great. Table side fresh guac is always a win for me. The food was flavorful. I also liked that they opened up their doors so we got the fresh air on a beautiful night.

First time I come, the happy and comfortable atmosphere. Delicious food and excellent company. I recommend it, super cozy, we enjoyed the night super. very good attention Second time I come, the food is exquisite, accompanied by my cabernet wine and of course in the company of my partner, the service is excellent, how lucky we made a reservation because it was full. thank you very much I recommend it

Love this place! Every time I visit Huntington I stop by here. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the drinks are amazing!

Google
One of the best Mexican places to eat in Huntington. The food is very fresh and a bit more upscale than the other places nearby. The service was excellent. Even the cocktail menu was very good. The servers were all very friendly and professional. There was plenty of outdoor seating right there on main Street. Extensive vegetarian options as well

Google
I like this place, but, the guacamole was more like avocado chunks. And with no flavor. I had the skirt steak, which was ok, but I couldn't taste the salt, pepper or garlic. If they put it on it. I hope they correct these issues, I will try them once more, but the atmosphere is great, and the service is fantastic.

Yelp
We enjoyed our late weekend dinner at Besito, a restaurant which was recommended by someone more familiar with Huntington. It was still pretty busy so good thing we made a reservation on OpenTable.  Being hungry, the complimentary chips and salsa vanished pretty quickly. After some deliberation, I selected the Enchilada Mixtas ($28.95) since it offered a little bit of everything: chicken, chorizo, steak, sweet plantains, onions, salsa guajillo con crema, queso fresco, and crema (I requested no cilantro). It didn't disappoint in flavor (copious sauce) and portion size. Delicious!  Besito was somewhat loud inside so I had to project more than usual. The dining room was tastefully minimally decorated and not gaudy; I liked the masks by some of the lights. Service was polite and efficient. And they send you off with worry dolls to place under pillows: memorable parting gifts!

Yelp
First time visiting this Mexican Restaurant on a friend's recommendation. Initially had to wait outside in the rain until our entire party arrived before we were seated. After being seated we were served a complimentary small basket of chips and salsa. After ordering drinks ( good selection of margaritas and beer) we ordered the spicy and mild guacamole ( disappointed it was not made fresh at the table as is usually done in other genuine Mexican restaurants). The Arrachera ( shirt steak) and Sonora Ribs was cooked to perfection as was the Enchilada Mixtas and Shrimp Macho dishes. The sweet plantains topped with cream and queso fresco were fantastic. Topped off dinner with the fried ice cream and flan and coffee. Restaurant offers outside seating, sit down bar along with ample indoor table service. Conservative decor throughout. The one knock was service was very rushed. Staff were too quick to take your order (we're just seated and hadn't looked at the menu yet) and even clearing the table ( some of our friends were still eating their meals !!) It was the food that basically the experience. When one is dropping $395 for dinner one should not be rushed. I expected better service than that. However overall the food is outstanding if you don't mind being rushed out the door which is why my rating is a 3.

Yelp
Besito is our go-to spot before a show at The Paramount, and the Shrimp Jalisco is always a standout. The shrimp are perfectly seared, the mashed boniato is creamy and smooth, and the tequila chipotle glaze adds just the right smoky kick. It's rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated. And I love that they end the meal with a tiny worry doll--it's such a thoughtful touch that makes the whole experience feel extra special.

Yelp
Went to celebrate Cinco De Mayo--with my daughter and had a blast: food was great. Service was terrific and the atmosphere was fun. The ribs were delicious-sweet and a strong spice and the shrimp special was fresh. The only knock was that the Guac was not freshly made in front of us and they seemed to have made it pre made -perhaps in anticipation of a crowded restaurant due to the holiday: all in all great experience

Yelp
I always see so many people here, so I had assumed that the food was really good. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It's not horrible, but it's not really great Mexican food and it's a little bit on the pricey side. The drinks are OK, nothing to write home about, I don't understand why this place is always so busy. Again, it wasn't the worst food I've ever had, but I would never go back. It's way overpriced for what they're serving. Way overpriced. We spent well over $100 on two drinks and two meals. The server was really nice, the restaurant was clean, that's about it.

Yelp
The service is horrific here. We were rudely rushed out before we even finished our drinks meanwhile we ordered the $47 pitcher of sangria so umm let us finish if you want repeat business? I guess if you don't want dessert then you're no longer welcome? Idk we ordered apps and entrees along with the pitcher so it's not like our bill was cheap. It was busy on a Saturday night but the table next to us was empty for a solid 10-15 mins, so sit somebody there. We're paying customers also and I think this is poor business practice to rush any patron you have because they won't return again. There's far better high end Mexican restaurants out there anyway that treat their guests with respect. Only giving it a 2 because the food was good, the sangria was mediocre and the service was obviously terrible.

Yelp
We had a large group of 10 people including kids on a Sunday on our way to Stony Brook University. This restaurant was recommended by a local in Hicksville. There's street parking in front of the restaurant and at the back there's a parking lot that is free (says metered) The food and service is fantastic. The portions are comparable to upscale restaurants and are the prices. Great food, even the sides of corn and rice were very fragrant. Expect to pay $35 to $40 per person including drinks. Cocktails and mocktails were excellent. We loved the meal and the service. Very kid friendly

Yelp
Enjoyed a lovely holiday dinner. The lighting is dim and the environment is lively. You have to order the table side guacamole, yum!! Everyone got the *Carne Asada Iron Skillet Tacos. I ordered shrimp jalisco. I also enjoyed a nice Malbec. We didn't have a reservation and it was during the holiday so we sat at the front tables near the window which when they opened (often) you froze. Overall attentive service and nice meal.

Yelp
This place has gone downhill. Food was fine but it seemed really dingy in there or maybe it needs some upgrades and they haven't done any in a while. We asked for a spicy guac and it was so bland. The waiter told us they make them all the same no matter what people ask for - then why ask us how spicy we wanted it?!?! I used to love coming here.
google avatar

Yelp
I've come to Besito many times and they have never disappointed me! It's one of my favorite places to bring family and friends and is always popping off on the weekends! I definitely recommend making a reservation to get a table and never skip the guac as an appetizer! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and I definitely recommend the Mixtos! The ambiance is so fun and cool and definitely can get crowded at times but it's a great place to check out

Yelp
This is my wife's #1 favorite restaurant, our go-to for her birthday and our anniversary. Over the years, it's grown on me. I tend to gravitate towards their specials because they usually have some interesting seafood concoction available. Here's my take: Salsa: 5/5 Their salsa is outstanding. I wouldn't say "spicy" for my standards, but it is flavorful and has a touch of chipotle/smoke. Drinks: 4/5 Mixed drinks are overpriced. Tecate would go find with most dishes. Guacamole: 3/5 I appreciate the tableside show, but this is always hit or miss. Sometimes if they are busy or you have a new server, the guacamole is chunkier than it should be. Always fresh though. Appetizer: Crab Cake: 4/5 I appreciate that they use lump crab meat, but for nearly $30, I was expecting a bit more bang for my buck. Dinner: Shrimp Jalisco 10/5 I love dishes I can't make myself, and I have no clue how they make this. It's my favorite dish from here, and I've been ordering it for YEARS. Price: 0/5 I usually order 2-3 drinks while I'm here, and we've never spent less than $100, we try to keep it under $200 if possible for just the two of us. Ambiance: 5/5 Dress code: smart casual. Ambience is usually a bit romantic. Staff is always stellar. Highly recommend. We will be coming back for years to come!

Yelp
Food was delicious, drinks were strong and worth the price. The service was very good, the young lady checked on our table often and brought our order in q timely manner considering they were busy. Fun ambiance, great music and outside seating available, great place for dogs once the tables are outside!

Yelp
The Guac was so bland. No lime juice no flavor. tasted like smashed avocado. Surprisingly the virgin cocktails were DELICIOUS. the shrimp special was really good. But I wouldn't come back. It was very pricey for subpar food. The seafood flautas were very plain and not very good. The tacos were ok. They looked better than they tasted.

Yelp
My partner and I went to Besito for a Valentine's Day dinner. We had reservations and were seated after only a few minutes of waiting. We got an excellent table in the back corner. I ordered a blood orange and passion fruit margarita over the course of the night-both were good but not very strong. The guac was brought over to our table made already-likely because how busy the evening was. Definitely order at least a medium otherwise it's pretty bland. Tortilla chips were salty but not warm and the salsa was nice and thick. I had the sweet potato tacos and they were delicious. A bit on the small side but with all the apps and sides we ordered it was the perfect amount. My boyfriend got the special (~50 dollars) for a nice cut of steak, shrimp, asparagus, and potato's. Everything was good but I wish it all had a little more spice. The fried ice cream was a fun treat at the end of dinner. Service was great, our server was attentive and the bussers were on it. Overall a really nice date spot.

Nagendra S.

Yelp
Love to come here when I want to treat myself to a margarita or a nice piece of steak. Yes that's right. I get a nice piece of steak with tons of sides here for lunch occasionally. Nice to sit by the window near the main road and watch the world go by.

Yelp
I honestly don't like leaving bad reviews , but I feel like this place needs to know what they're doing wrong. We called for reservation and during the call we were told three times that our reservation was only gonna be good for an hour and a half. We had to be out within an hour and a half! Upon arrival they sat us at a table right next to where the hostess table was so there were plenty of people coming in and being seated, so we had plenty of behinds in our faces. Once the one hour mark came, we started to get stares from the employees. They wanted us out. I don't think I ever felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant before. I definitely do not recommend and I definitely will not be returning.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Sunday around noon , when they open. I was worried about being the only ones dining so early but luckily we weren't. It was quite busy . We were seated at a nice table in the back upstairs which was kind of private so we felt vip haha . Sooo I am very close to the Roslyn location which I've been to several times and this location blows it away. No comparison ! I will gladly drive 30 min to make it to this location instead. The quality, presentation and freshness is incredible. I had the carne asade , so tender and perfect . Table side guacamole is a must ! And.... Of course a margarita cause who eats Mexican without a marg ?!!
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic service, and great drink selection. Guacamole was nice, and the chips and salsa they provided was made from scratch and delicious. Menu is not too large, so they focus well on what they provide. Outdoor seating is an amazing draw; eating food while people watching and enjoying the weather. Appetizers were slightly smaller than expected, but the entrees are well portioned!

Yelp
Besito stands out among competitors for its authentic Mexican cuisine and quality service. The romantic, low-lighting along with an old-fashioned yet sophisticated appeal makes for the perfect date night and satiates a desire to escape modernity. We were seated right away and the waiter even accommodated us to sit in a cozy booth! Our order was taken promptly and served in a reasonable time. To start, we ordered chips with guac and salsa. The salsa was light yet really good even though it was a simple appetizer. The quesadilla was soft and it's contents were fresh. I liked how they included 3 little dipping sauces that weren't so heavy either. The best part of the meal was dessert -- the Tre Leche. If you're looking for a simple, yet divine dessert this is the one. I love how the cream blended nicely with some crunchiness and softness of the cake. After each bite, the taste slowly heightens to a subtle sweetness. Besito is one the best restaurants in Huntington Village! I'm so pleased with my experience here that I can confidently recommend it to others as a 5 star restaurant. :)

Yelp
NEED A RESERVATION FOR A FRIDAY NIGHT - WEEKEND!! Thankfully we had a reservation! Super packed and just very loud. Looks like a fun place for drinks. Must say the food is fantastic! My friend brought us here - I'm originally from AZ so thought that it was a bold choice to bring us to have Mexican food - but was just as good as home they also gave us these adorable worry dolls!
google avatar

Rosario S. C.

Yelp
Besito Mexican Restaurant in Huntington , NY is a an authentic Mexican cuisine. The freshly made guacamole is definitely a perfect choice to start off with. The chicken quesadillas and the taco skillet with queso chicken, shrimp, and sausage is excellent. Reservations are recommended cause it does get busy. There is small bar to hang out at but fills up fast. Parking in the Village is difficult but eventually works out, Try the dessert tres leches.

Yelp
Loved the tacos, vibe and ambiance! Would definitely come back on another date night. Drinks were also really good

Yelp
I've been here about 3 years ago and it taste the same as I remembered If not better! Can't find places like that anymore. I enjoyed everything on my table ! The chips were fresh and crunchy, the guac was made to perfection. I love sweet plaintains and they were done right. Service was fast surprisingly. Loved my sangria as well. I couldn't believe how good the steak was in my quesadilla and my husband's taco. Definitely will make my way back here and this time it won't be too long of a gap.

Yelp
Food amazing! Server 'Ever' and staff amazing! He was attentive and made excellent recommendations. Restaurant was clean and decor authentic. Let me say this about our visit . If not for the amazing staff and service. No matter how good an establishments food is . I would never return. I am happy to report! This location provided it all! Thank you for making our Father's day outing for my family , such a great experience.

Yelp
I used to come here years ago when I worked in the village, but I had a chance to come back again recently and had a really good time as always. The service was great, the food was excellent (especially the salsa, guacamole, and queso)!
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
Besito has a vast drink menu - the Margaritas are so good. The fresh made to order guacamole is great for a starter. The food was full of flavor - the Iron Skillet Chicken Tacos are recommended. A side of sweet plantains make a delicious accompaniment for any dish. Waitress was nice and attentive. It is very loud inside , so plan on sitting near the person you will socialize with the most. Also, we had a large party and they seated us by the kitchen exit where they yell a phrase out to avoid hitting into one another. Every minute. Not the ideal location .Remember that when you are being seated,

Yelp
Loved the complimentary salsa and chips! Our server was great & really loved the vibe

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere and friendly service, but unfortunately the quality of the food has gone way down over the past couple of years. All of us were disappointed with our meals last night. The guac was tasteless (didn't seem to have any salt, lime, spice - just an underripe, bland avocado) and the steak in my quesadilla seemed very low quality. Our meals were lacking flavor and just all around meh. It feels like they've cut one too many corners. I hope they can get back to where they once were with the better quality ingredients. For now, we've had one too many disappointing yet expensive meals.
google avatar

Yelp
Besito is my favorite Mexican restaurant. It definitely has an upscale Mexican vibe, but with such a fun atmosphere. This place is always busy. The food is amazing. My favorite dishes are the fish entrees. Also love the skillets. Margaritas are delicious as well. This place is always a go to for me and it never disappoints.
google avatar

Yelp
Guacamole is great. A must have. Salmon was dry , little disappointing. Martini was made great and best price around. Tried carne asada taco and it was great
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food & great service! Went to the fall fair and the food was not cutting it. There was the food festival this weekend as well so there was not as many vendors to choose from to eat. So enjoyed the music, crafts and games then looked for somewhere yummy and open late on Sunday. My steak was sooo tender I didn't need s steak knife at all. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and the sausage in the Mixtos sizzling soft tacos was delicious! House made tortillas that were super small and perfectly bite sized. Had to get the guacamole of course which didn't stand a chance on any leftover! Unsweetened iced tea came in a patron bottle so That was cute and fun too!
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Had dinner before a show at The Paramount & it was SO good. It's been a while since I've been to this location & I forgot how nice it is inside. The made-to-order guac was delish & so was the patrón margarita. Not pictured were the enchiladas which were incredibly flavorful and the salmon which had that gorgeous crust. Second margarita of the night was the rosa one (I don't remember the name now) & while bright and fruity, I absolutely preferred that patrón one! Our waiter was prompt and friendly and made sure to be mindful of the modifications we made to our orders! I wish I had pics of the food , but sometimes you're too hungry & it looks too good, so you just dive in! I will note - when I tried to make a rez on Open Table, the time slot wasn't available, but I called & had zero trouble securing a table!
google avatar

Kiera D.

Yelp
Definitely sit outside if you can and it's nice. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and definitely gets packed by 7 PM. We got their blood orange and mango margaritas. Flavor was great, but not as strong as I would have hoped. Got the freshly made guac and the mixtos tacos option which was great for two people! Would go again, just a little expensive.
google avatar

Gladys E.

Yelp
It is a great place to go and taste Mexican appetizers and drinks. Variety of good options for appetizers and margaritas. Highly recommended the crispy fish tacos. For margaritas: frozen pomegranate and paloma are excellent choices. Their service is always very kind. Every time I stop by I truly enjoy! Give it a try!
google avatar

Maxi L.

Yelp
Food was great! I'm not I didn't come sooner! Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Answered questions I had and was helpful. Food came out quick and piping hot. I like to try everything so of course I got the mix hot skillet. It had chicken, steaks, and chorizo on top of melted cheeseeeeeee! It also came with warms tortillas. My husband got a steak skillet that came with rice and beans on the side. We got a order of the off menu ceviche that had shrimp and octopus in it. That was the highlight of my night! Can't wait to go back and try something else!
google avatar

Dahlia K.

Yelp
Good food amazing service and peaceful. Good lighting and Mexican music. They have the best guacamole and tacos. I definitely recommend!
google avatar

Cheryl S.

Yelp
The food is amazing. There is nothing I would change about it. The drinks were great. Send and I love that the location is at the end of the busyness of the village. It's not cheap so I won't be there often, but I will definitely go back.

Sara N.

Yelp
My fiancé and I came here for dinner and everything was perfect. The food and drinks were amazing and the service was awesome. Best restaurant we've been to on Long Island!
google avatar

Juju W.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night. It was quickly packed. I had the chicken tacos that came with rice and black beans. You assembled the tacos yourself. The chix was a bit bland even with the sauces that accompanied the dish. My mate had the skirt steak enchiladas. He liked it but I thought the sauce tasted like marinara vodka sauce. We should've ordered the guac. Server gave us little worry dolls as souvenirs, kinda different. Lol

Yelp
The food was BOMB. Classic Mexican restaurant. Great service as well. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I had this place in my bookmarks for a few years now. I finally made it and was met with disappointment. From the moment I walked in, something was just off. Firstly, the layout of this location is strange. Upon walking in, the bar is directly in front the door. The crowd in the front of the restaurant was so big, you couldn't even find the hostess.. After finding the hostess, they informs us that we still have to wait even though we made a reservation. The server was quick to get our drink orders in but that was it. After serving us our drinks, we waited 30 minutes to place our order. We had the seafood flautas which were actually very good. I had the shrimp jalisco and my friend had the skirt steak. The shrimp dish was overly sweet. I did not like it at all. It was not good. My friends steak, although she ordered it medium, it was tough, very hard to chew. We had tres leches for dessert that was also not good. The cake had a grainy texture and the milk had no flavor. Our drinks were probably the best thing we ordered. I had high expectations for this place based on the reviews but unfortunately I don't think I would ever come back here.
google avatar

Evelna W.

Yelp
Food and service from our server was a 5/5, My partner and I absolutely loved our dinner and I'm very excited to return again. We ordered the - guacamole made to order (2 avocados) - Grilled chicken quesadilla (appetizers) - Enchilada mixtas & ensalada de salmon (specialties) - Street corn & sweet plantains (sides) - Passionfruit & grapefruit mocktails (LA TARONJA MOCK-A-RITA Grapefruit) For the 2 mocktails, I loved my passionfruit drink but I was too full to get a second drink. The food was very good and the atmosphere was perfect. The tables and umbrellas added to the vibe of the place. Great photo opp for the girls. Our server was super friendly, kind, and attentive, which made the dinner even more enjoyable on top of our food. The rice was so fragrant and soft, it's so good paired with the sweet plantains and street corn. Removing a star because the server forgot our take out order(not our server) and it was meant to be for my mom. I said I'd bring her home a salmon entree for her but we didn't open the box to check our bag and assumed it was in the boxes in our to go bag consisting of the leftovers. The server must've got busy and forgot but we were disappointed to find that we didn't have the extra salmon entree.

Yelp
I had to update since I have been here dozens of times since my first review. Besito-you never get it wrong!! Shrimp tacos, Maduro, queso fundido-it's my Heaven. A little expensive but I like to treat myself a few times a year. 7/5/22

Yelp
We came here on a Friday night for dinner (we did make a reservation in advance). The place was very busy! I was pleasantly surprised to see how many fun non-alcoholic cocktails they offered; I wish more restaurants provided this. I had the watermelon mock-a-rita which was delicious. We had the guac, their ceviche of the day, and the street corn side as our appetizers. The guac was very good and fresh, although we asked for "medium" spice and what we received was squarely in the mild category. The corn was delicious. The ceviche was very fresh and very good - I love ceviche but it has to be high quality fish to be worth it. I had the shrimp empanadas as my meal, which were tasty and more than enough for food me. My partner had the octopus special - we were very impressed! It was a very healthy portion and it was delicious. It was served with a corn cake that was notable. Octopus is not an easy dish to prepare, and they were spot on.

Yelp
Besito Mexican was amazing. We ordered so much food. And it was worth every penny. My daughter had the Shrimp empanadas. (There are mini) I had the carne Asada steak quesadilla. Omg so good a flavorful. My besties had the Shrimp Jalisco, on a bed of mashed potato w/ pico de gallo. We also shared the Mexican street corn and plantains with the creams and cheese on top. Our plates were empty by the end of dinner. Our meal also came with house salsa & chips

Yelp
Stopped in before a show at the Paramount. Very nice ambiance and the staff was attentive. Busy but not noisy. Great menu and the enchiladas were great. Drinks were good too.

Alex K.

Yelp
A nice restaurant-you can eat outside in front, inside, or inside front with open doors. The food was excellent: Crab cake special was delicious ( but small quantity) ; enchiladas suizas was very tasty with a different flavor than the usual. The tortilla soup was great, with an unusual flavor. The flan was very good. Service was polite & excellent. The noteworthy aspect of Besito is their successful different take on classic Mexican dishes. It is a bit pricey.

Yelp
My fiancée and I came here with my best friend on a Sunday. I've had my eyes set on this place for forever and I am so happy we finally tried it. The food was so good. They have a deal on Sundays for 2 margaritas for the price of one. I forgot the times of this offer. I got the mango margarita and it was so refreshing. The chips they give are warm and perfect. We got the 2 guacamoles, the crispy shrimp tacos, and the quesadilla. The waitress was really nice and tentative too. At the end of the meal you get little worry dolls that are so cute and authentic. We will definitely be back here!

Yelp
I loved this place. I came with a friend and sat by the bar the ambiance was nice and dim. I enjoyed the music. They played mostly bachata even though that's not mexican music. The food was amazinggg. Small menu, but so flavorful. I would definitely come again. The bartender was so attentive and sweet. Great service.
