I had an amazing experience in this Best Buy location. They had the color of the product I wanted which I slightly thought they wouldn’t have it on stock. They also had great discounts for the product I wanted. Polite and helpful staff, fast service, clean place, and great location right near Times Square in New York City. Overall, it’s a great Best Buy location in an exceptional location.

My coworker wants a PlayStation five Dragon Ball Z sparking zero video game. I went to this Best Buy showed the attendant at the register the picture the system was slow to reload and after five minutes she said that they don’t have the game in store. What’s hilarious is that it’s been over five years since I even entered a Best Buy and to be honest, it feels like a lost in time era and I will definitely never be going back there again

Nice shop and most of the staff are nice. I however just ordered some stuff online and picked it up at the lockers. However I tried to find some cover for my nem tablet and nobody could help me. I just ordered it online and picked it up 3 days later.

Smaller store with a pretty slim subset of the offering on the floor, generally boxed. Order in and collect, sure, but as a retail experience it’s pretty flat and there’s not much chance of getting hands on anything to support a purchase decision.

Absolutely amazing Service from Best Buy 531 5th Ave. Jeffrey assisted me promptly and delivered excellent and professional customer service on Christmas Eve. Searching like mad for a specific gift on my son’s list. Jeffrey went the extra mile & insisted I wait a few minutes so he can double check inventory.My son loved his gift, The Sony PlayStation portal remote player. That’s the reaction Jeffrey, you are the best Merry Christmas to you!

Rude and dismissive. This person should not be working in retail. You can't hide from the inevitable consequences of giving terrible customer service. Wake up.

The service here is fairly good and I was very happy to recently have taken advantage of twice recycling some old electronics without any hassle. Please folks, bring them here (3 items a day—be sure to pull up their website first to see what they take and what they do not).

I have a bone to pick with this Best Buy. A few years back, I purchased a Zagg screen protector with a lifetime warranty from Best Buy in Florida. The purpose of buying it from BB instead of directly from the BB manufacturer was that they claimed they'd replace the protector on-demand at any BB location. My first replacement at the UWS location went completely fine. Then, that location closed, and I started using this location, and that's where the problems began. For my second replacement, I stopped by this location last year and asked for a replacement. They claimed that they couldn't find any record of my account. After MUCH prodding, proving I bought the original at BB, and proving I was still under warranty, they relented and replaced the screen. The person who helped me swore up and down that they fixed the issue in their system and that I'd never have the same issue again. Fast forward to last week. I drag myself back to this location to replace the cracked screen and - what do you know - NO RECORD OF THE PURCHASE. This time they refused to help me and I had to reach out to corporate - equally useless. I ended up needing to have the screen replaced by the manufacturer whereby I had to pay for shipping. I'll no longer be using BB for any of my tech purchases - the incompetence here is astounding. Good on you guys for losing a long time customer over $35. Avoid!

CASH BUYERS BEWARE: Best Buy store manager, Reinaldo Tirado, informed me Best Buy doesn't keep cash sales records for more than 30 days. That Best Buy only keeps records for Best Buy members or if you pay by credit card. Of course, this is a violation of IRS record storage laws regarding business record. Storage is required for seven years. Tirado said I was wrong and stop another employee who was going to attempt to look up my $180 CASH purchase. I purchase Sony headphones 4 months ago that, yesterday, broke when I picked it up. At Best Buy I dealt with 5 employees. #1 service counter employee asked for my phone #. I gave her the phone # but told her no one asked for my phone # at the time of purchase. After a few minutes she confirmed what I knew: I'm not in their system. She told me they can't help me. I asked for the manager. #2 Said he was the manager. When I told him I need a copy of my receipt, he wanted to discuss the Sony Warranty and to assure me that there was no way the one year warranty would ever cover the broken plastic of my useless headphones. I interrupted his long explained about Sony and said I needed copy of my receipt to prove to Sony I purchased the headphones. Employee #2 accused me of raising my voice when I asked him to focus on the receipt. #3 Tirado appeared the counter and immediately told me I was out of luck and that he was right (see first paragraph). I said I wanted his business card and a statement from him that Best Buy purges cash records after 30 days. Tirado say he does not give written statements as he wrote his name and title on register receipt paper (see picture) I said I would write his statement on the receipt paper and he confirmed what I repeated to him was correct. #4 Security at the store entrance. I asked security if I could speak to a general manager. After fumbling around he admitted there is no one higher than Tirado. I asked Tirado was the general manager. He said no. When I asked if the GM was coming in today, he said maybe in a couple of hours. I said I would wait an hour and asked him if I can stand in the corner. He said sure. Right now after 40 minutes waiting for the GM to show up. Security got another employee (#5) to say he is sorry to me and asked me to repeat what happened. I asked him if he was the GM. He said no. I said I need to speak to some above Tirado because Tirado policy is illegal (purging sales records after 30 days.) Then Tirado made an appearance and asked me what I needed. I said I didn't ask to speak to him that I need to go over his head. Tirado says the GM comes in on Fridays. Today is Wednesday. Other employees have come into this area where I have permission from Security to stand and wait for the GM who will not be here today. In 15 minutes I will leave Best Buy and go to Sony HQ to discuss the warranty - 15 minute walk from here. If they don't resolve this matter, I will file a case against Best Buy for purging my sales record after 30 days and ask for full restitution for the Sony headphones. Best Buy doesn't care about it business. Oy vey!

Don't bother trying to use the locker pickup here. Despite the ability to do so (ie ordering on Best Buy), they don't actually give access to the lockers and have them locked L O L. One employee told me the wrong answer, doubled down, then provided another explanation why. Silly. Another worker at in store pickup was nice and helpful though.

It was hot, the dog days of summer as they say. And if these were the dog days...it would be modeled on a St Bernard or some other big, furry, drooly dog because it was over 90 degrees and muggy. Because it was so hot, I wanted a room fan to help circulate the meager AC in my apartment. The Vornado 660 was highly reviewed and was in stock so I placed an order online for pickup. Upon entering the store (mercifully air conditioned which was a blessing after enduring the subway and a brief walk outside) I saw the huge sign for order pickup. There were three staff members helping customers and I was the second person in line. The line moved quickly and I was assisted by a friendly and efficient representative. Once I showed my identification (and I was glad he asked for it for security purposes) he quickly gave me my fan as well as a couple of other smaller items and kindly offered me a bag for the small things. In and out in under five minutes...that was a frictionless interaction and I was impressed by the efficiency and organization. If I need to pick something up, I'll be sure to visit this location again!

$60 for an Energizer portable battery pack, not too bad. A brand that's familiar too. It's buzzing and busy inside. The chargers and phone accessories are in the back by the checkout counter.

I'd give it one star but there were some people who were reluctantly helpful. I was told of a good promo deal for the MacBook by trading in your old laptop as mine was seven years old. I initially was going to trade it in and buy it at Apple but I got $110 more at Best Buy so I figured let's go that route. I tried to reset to factory settings and took it in but I must have done something wrong in the process as the customer service lady said the black screen showing a folder with ?/! marks were not acceptable for trade in. It just so happened a geek squad guy was there and she checked with him and he said no, too. He said I can try to remedy it and of course, I tried, since I was determined to walk out with a new laptop. I tried to connect the recovery part to my phones hotspot but were having some issues and thank god for google as it helped me! I guess the geek squad guy felt bad for me as he said it'll take a LONG time to reinstall the OS and connected me to the wifi so I could do what I needed to do. I was in the consultation area for a while and the bigger gentlemen with the unkept long greasy hair came up to me and said that if I stay any longer, I'm "loitering" and that's not permissible. I can understand if I was there surfing the internet but I needed to get this done! I ended up moving to a corner in the back to get what I needed done. I went back to customer service and she seemed more empathetic with what I went through - it would have been nice had she shown that from the get go but what matters is I got the gift card! I I got to Best Buy around 4 and walked out with the laptop around 6. It was harrowing to say the least. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I'd like to start my review here mentioning that I've worked in retail for like 7 years. I've had my fair share of great management and gross mismanagement. So when I say this was literally THEE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE, I truly mean it with my heart and soul. Today we were looking at noise cancellation headphones. We tested like 6 of them. Mind you some of the headphones has missing pieces like the ear cushion, or for example the Sony XM5 which quite literally doesn't even work when testing. Not only that but finding employees to assist us was even worse. Groups of employees hang out in corners of the store (which typically means they don't feel like dealing with customers, again, I've been in their situation). I had to walk up to a group of 5 employees to ASK for recommendations. There was no greeting, no "let me know if you need anything", or just a quick check in. Now one girl did help us and I could tell, she was sweet but didn't know anything about the products. When I asked her why several headphones were missing pieces or not working at all she said "well they're demo". Okay that's fine but then how the heck would we know if we would want to buy them. Clearly this is an issue from upper management that refuses to be present on the sales floor enough to notate what demo items need to be resolved (again not her fault). I wanted to test the AirPod max towards the end of the visit. Tell me why a girl was on a whole FACETIME CONVERSATION ON THE SALESFLOOR. HOW. In all of my years of retail, I've never seen the level of unprofessionalism on the sales floor such as FACETIMING A FRIEND. I asked her if we could test the headphones after 5 minutes (where we repeatedly made EYE CONTACT) and she said "well it should be hooked up to the iPad". HOW WOULD WE KNOW THAT. YOURE ON FACETIME TALKING TO YOUR HOMEGIRL. PLEASE BE SO REAL RN. Then guess what. THE BLUETOOTH DOESNT EVEN HOOK UP TO THE AIRPOD MAXES. I turn to her to ask if I can help her and she walks back to the other corner full of employees (half on their phones) and they all ignore us for help. Literally useless. Here's my recommendation for the store overall, get sales managers on the floor. Have your employees test products. Make sure there's a strict no phone on the sales floor policy. Then you wouldn't need to hire 5 security guards at the front if you actually guided or lead your employees. When I see these situations (speaking from personal experience) it means that there's a clear lack of leadership. Hope this helps yall in your next visit, wouldn't be shocking if we returned our new headphones purely because of the lack of customer service or support. I'll be shopping at the Bronx moving forward since somehow that location provided far excellent customer service because their employees pretend to give a single f*&k about their products there. I do not recommend this store. My Samsung tv recently stopped working and Best Buy technicians could not get It to work and visited my home on 3 different occasions to replace parts to attempt to make It work only to tell me finally they would give me a credit because o have a warranty of course to purchase or exchange my damaged Samsung television. I was told I had to go to the Midtown store for my credit to choose another tv I possibly wanted. Very very disappointed staff and showed me one tv and told me I had to speak to someone from Magnolia Christian Cisnero. They made me an appointment to go to the store to meet with Christian and talk to him about a new tv. The day of the appointment Christian called me and cancelled my appointment and told me he was not prepared for the appointment and did not know how to give me a credit or exchange my tv. He told me he would call me back and never ever texted or called me back. 4 days later I had to call a corporate office for Magnolia again and explain to them how nobody still had called me. After that call I was passed on to someone named Greg at 7 pm and told this had to be done remotely because Christian passed me on to him and how he was off and couldn't possibly assist me with any of this god awful debacle. Fail. Extremely unhappy customer that would never recommend this horrible experience and store. Shame on you Best Buy Get your act together Anthony Arroyo

A terrific store for all your flat screen TVs and computer needs - geek squad is there for any repairs too

Short Review: came here the day NYC was under siege because of the Canadian brush fires. It looked horrid outside, but my beats stopped charging and needed a new pair. I found the area quickly where the headphones were and asked for assistance to get them out of the glass case. While it didn't take too long to find someone, it seemed like his real interest was continuing to chat up his fellow female colleague. I just had a few inquiries, but the young man couldn't seem to hide his desire to get back to chatting her up-- I made my purchase and went about my day. Best Buy always had abrupt employees, but the few times I've been here, I've always been able to get what I needed.

I went there to get a new laptop. I got one which was on sale for $400 off. The floor staff was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and not the tiniest bit pushy. Geek Squad was efficient in helping me set up the process . In particular, it was Regina who looked at my old and defunct laptop and got me started with setting up my new one. She was very knowledgeable and really took her time. A Flawless experience from start to finish. I am due to pick up the laptop next week, so we'll see how it ends up but so far I'm very happy with this branch of Best Buy.

I inquired by phone if this location could unlock a Samsung phone and representative said yes. He confirmed store hours and told me I could come up to 10 minutes of closing. I opted to come next am. Security agent directed me to cell phone counter and staff directed me to geek squad. Only working by appointment and next appointment was for 4:20pm just 5 hours from when I walkEd in. Representative informed me that they do not unlock phones. Delightful visit! Ps phone Representative confirmed address but did not know the cross street. Do you think a store dealing in information technology might hire employees who know the basics of where they are and what they do?

This store needs to get better management in place! Until then, I will not be shopping here any longer. Best of luck!

This rotten kid who works in Customer Service ruined my day. I'd been patient and polite, following him from one desk to another. I watched as he chatted with colleagues, tapped a keyboard, stared into space, and finally called for help. (I'd returned some printer cartridges for recycling and was waiting for my measly $2 freaking coupon.) This went on for 20 FULL MINUTES, after which I told the kid I had an appointment and asked whether it would take much longer. "Yeah, maybe," he said, and I left. I've bought countless computers and appliances at Best Buy over the years. They used to hire good people. No more. Ugh!

3/13 - I stopped by the Best Buy Geek Squad today as I thought my computer had a virus. Wanted to send a special thank you to Ideal, Tristan and Charles who were so helpful in providing me with a solution for my computer which worked! Ideal was super patient, knowledgeable and reassuring and I felt as though her advice was solid which it was. As is obvious from my other reviews, I continue to get amazing customer service whenever I visit this location. Thank you!

Would we have enough time to accomplish all mission objectives? We enter the Queens-Midtown Tunnel at 5pm, with no traffic problems and I am wary. This is going too smooth and my worries are justified as we approach 3rd Ave and the Jersey drivers are snarling the intersection. Approaching the drop zone, we are thwarted again by CitiBike occupying the entire curb. Sighting an alternate spot further down the block, I leave my team on web overwatch and enter the store. Hearing another patron ask a sales associate the location of the online pickup counter and pointing to the rear corner, I immediately go down a parallel aisle, heading him off and cruise up to the counter. With the order confirmation UPC code already showing on my phone, the item was tagged & bagged, then past the security guards and out the door in less than 5 minutes. Returning to the extraction point, the escape vehicle is ready and waiting. Christmas shopping completed, we roar off into the night and made it in time to my sister's hideaway in time for dinner. Horrible customer service in computer keyboards. The kid needs some training in customer assistance and politeness.

Your Customer service is awful on 5th Avenue in New York Cuty. They need to have better management because the employee that worked with me was complaining about being in charge of returns and the manager was called over to not even have a successful return. I did an online order for a camera bag, picked it up IN STORE, it was too small, so I said can I just return or exchange this for a proper size. They said no, it wasn't in the system yet. I had to wait AN HOUR for their computer to register my item to return. I JUST PICKED IT UP! YOU SAW ME DOING SO! So I took the bag in hopes I could make it work. I am returning it today and they said since it's past the return mark, it's not returnable and I have to keep it. I CANT EVEN GET STORE CREDIT. Best Buy is not the Best Buy. Their management sucks and their 14 day policy is bullshit for an extremely expensive electronic store. Screw this place. Especially since I asked for store credit. You will still have GOTTEN MY MONEY EITHER WAY!!!! WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING ME KEEP IT????? Ridiculous. Do better.

I Had the home theater unit of Best Buy install my network and TV system. TV system was not complicated but I did get a custom remote control and 60 inch TV, sound bar plus a lot of accessories that were unfortunately not that helpful. The net is that they installed the system , that is completely custom and where the user can't fix anything without calling for a service visit. Not only that but the customer remote control which cost $550 essentially breaks anytime software updates or the TV resets. Unfortunately the installers tied all the cables down so that there's no slack And there are a number of small sensors wired in, so they tend to become disconnected. If for instance you need to turn off the TV at the plug. I had gone to Best Buy because I thought they had experience at installing a good system, they were here three times before the installation And the installation is nearly useless. Please find another installer, not Best Buy.

Had a wonderful experience with the Best Buy Team from fifth Avenue. Starting with the in store experience with Jason Chevalier. He was knowledgeable about the products, kind, and took the time to answer all our questions. Then moving on to the store manager Justin Roman who took the time to ensure we had a personal in home consultation and ensured our experience remained positive. Christian Cisnero came to the home and provided valuable information and help with the details. In addition, he went above and beyond by delivering some of the equipment needed for installation. Then came the installers, Ramon and Gary who were patient and helpful with TV placement and setup. Even offering to help with any other concerns after installation. I came in looking to buy some new AirPods for myself. I go to the "pick up order " / customer service station on 09/23/2023 at 1:00 pm and there was a Hispanic lady around age 40 black hair. She was completely rude to me because I interrupted her conversation she was having with her coworker. I asked for help and got a dirty look. I asked her to ring me up for iPods she walks away calling me a stupid bitch under her breathe. I said excuse me to her then she continues to ring me up like I didn't just heard what she said to me. I'm absolutely in shock that best buy would hire people like her! My feelings was completely hurt as someone who struggles with mental health and social anxiety! I won't be coming back.

Terrible service and poor selection. Best Buy hires very few skilled employees and prefers to have low wage people standing around and not being helpful. They literally had only one guy who knew how to install iPhone screen protectors and everyone else around him was useless.

What an awful experience. The people working there are incredibly lazy. When someone finally helps you all they do is try to upsell you. I felt like I was in a Third World country where people working there are desperate to charge as much as possible. Employees would literally ignore you and when they spoke to you, again, all they would do is upsell you and be rude to you. The store needs to be shut down, everyone fired and new leadership needs to put in and train people properly.

Looking to replace a TV can be a daunting task with so many options to choose from. Today I visited the Best Buy in Midtown 44th & 5th Ave and was truly impressed with sales specialist Alan Jimenez, who took the time and had the patience to explain in detail every nuance of each TV I was interested in. From Sony to Samsung to LG... there wasn't one question he wasn't able to answer. His wealth of knowledge was astounding, and I am truly grateful. If you are in need of a new TV, do yourself a favor and visit this store and ask for him specifically. Again... very impressive!

Exactly when the doors opened at 9:00 am, I walked around the corner from my building to Best Buy: Geek Squad. Nowadays you should schedule an appointment online or the wait time is unbearably long. It was going to be 40 mins for me to wait for a Geek Squad representative but the customer service representative was able to squeeze me in at 9:40 am. I waited till it was finally my turn and Regina Barresi assisted me with my emergency. I handed her my Geek Squad Renewal information because I like to be prepared so they know about my insurance coverage and laptop model information. I explained the issue that my laptop cracked as I pushed back and forth the screen when I am watching my tv shows and YouTube videos. Regina checked out my laptop up close and it definitely needs to be sent out. She informed me that it would take about 2-4 weeks ::sad face:: I recommended having my laptop shipped back to the Best Buy in Skyview Center because it's the closest location to me. Thanks Regina for providing amazing customer service. Can't wait to hug my laptop =)

Blatant false advertising on their website, which promises a wide variety of record players from such makers as Victrola, Crosley, etc. NOT A SINGLE RECORD PLAYER was on the premises. When I stated that I'd seen record players advertised on the website for that particular location, an employee admitted to me that the website was "misleading." Plus when I walked in, the place smelled as if everyone in it had farted simultaneously.

This location committed CONSUMER FRAUD. Back in April 2022, I bought a new cell phone to replace one I had lost during a trip. The sales rep told me that I could not use my existing number, but had to open a new line. Not being tech savvy, I agreed to this. With the new phone, I went to Verizon and their rep told me that I did not have to open a new line. I just had to install a replacement SIM card. I installed a replacement SIM card, went back to Best Buy, and instructed them to close the new line. Fast forward one month, I receive a bill from Verizon under the new phone number. The Verizon rep was very helpful and initiated a fraud investigation on my behalf. Verizon already had the Best Buy rep's name on file so they will be getting a call soon, if not already. Their manager will also be flagged in the investigation. In a nutshell, shame on me for not being tech savvy. Shame on Best Buy for lying to pocket a few extra dollars. I will go out of my way to tell everyone I know that Best Buy Manhattan 44th and 5th committed fraud.

I think Best Buy is the last of the discount electronics dealers. Basically, Best Buy is the only place left to go. They don't seem to be taking advantage of this fact.

I was in NYC for my birthday. I knew that I wanted the amazon echo dot so we stopped in the get it. I ask a sales person to point me in the direction of the Amazon products. He leads us there and then tells me that I need to get the amazon echo to accompany the amazon echo dot. I tell him that I DO NOT NEED to get the $179 product when all I want is the $49 product. He then tells me that it will not work without the other product. I say, "ok" and walk to the register. I was beyond annoyed that he was trying to UP SELL a product to me - a techy girl. I have researched this product and knew exactly what I was getting and what I wanted. I went to the hotel, set up Alexa and it worked perfectly!

Don't go to Geek Squad in this location. I've been here twice this week & both times they have six counters & 2 people working. It's ridiculous. So rather than waiting for two hours, I chose to get my money back. I thought I would share this info. Try another location that has full staff.

Every time I come to the 5th Avenue Best Buy I receive fast friendly service. Their shelves are always fully stocked. I find what I need, get in, and get out! My favorite kind of shopping experience!! Today I needed a short lighting connector for a portable battery charger my daughter gave me. Taking so many pictures runs my phone battery down. The sales rep suggested an inexpensive brand that was just what I was looking for. He said it is the Best Buy Brand. It has a limited one year warranty. Now I'm wondering if I can write it off as a Yelp expense!! Next problem is staying within my Verizon data limit while Yelping. This was the first month I got the warning email about being charged another $15 a month! No can do. Not in budget. I digress. I'll review Verizon soon!! In conclusion: I highly recommend this Best Buy location!!

I come here anytime I want to buy somethings. Although at times it's difficult to find someone to help you, but when you do they're absolutely amazing and extremely helpful.

Just came out of the Best Buy on 44th and fifth Avenue tried to buy speaker stood there for 10 minutes approached one of the sales associates for help told me he was saying somebody stood there for another 20 minutes and never sent anybody absolutely ridiculous horrible horrible horrible service how are you gonna have a store this big and nobody on the sales floor to help customers also there was another couple standing around waiting for me that is absolutely ridiculous and horrible customer service if you want terrible service wait all day and never get served then going to this Best Buy

My first time in a Best Buy store as it isn't a brand I'm too familiar with as their main market presence seems to be in the US and Canada - this branch on 44th and 5th seems to be a fairly decent size - they have staff at the front of the store to greet you who seemed really friendly, sadly the rest of the staff who wore a different coloured uniform didn't follow that high standard who seemed to be getting in the way more than anything, and a little rude. I liked how they had a small Apple section with some of the latest iPhones which is useful if you don't fancy walking down 5th Avenue to one of the world's largest Apple stores - the selection is ample if you're looking to take a browse, rather than being more of an Apple nerd. The pricing was reasonable but I certainly wouldn't describe their products as the "Best Buy" either. I would have liked to see a greater selection of more high-end electronics including laptops, especially gaming laptops but this is a pretty decent store. 3*

It seems almost quaint to go to a brick and mortar store to purchase electronics nowadays, but I'm an old fashioned kind of guy in many ways. So whenever I have needed a new pair of headphones, this is the branch of Best Buy I typically wind up at since it is close to my job. I typically go early in the morning so I have never really dealt with crowds or long lines and that also makes it one of my favorite places to buy from in the area. This Best Buy is broken up into two levels. The top level has a focus on entertainment and accessories. Bigger items are downstairs. Every time I have visited this store multiple employees have offered their assistance which is always great to see. The store has been clean and organized every time I have visited. The only thing I was not crazy about on my last visit was the way the cashier stations were rearranged. They used to be in a section off to the right with an area for the lines leading you to the cashiers. Now that has been replaced with display areas and cashiers have been moved into the back in a semi-hidden area. I wound up going to a pick up area accidentally before being pointed to the actual cashiers. For my purposes (headphones mostly) this Best Buy does the job well.

After paying for my purchase and spending over $1,000, I was asked to pay a bag fee 5 cent fee if I wanted a bag. Really after dropping a grand you couldn't give me the bag for free?

Went in for a case on my iPhone 7plus with built in charger. Asked for help to locate one. Salesperson pulls one off the rack; hands it to me, says it is compatible for my phone; remarks it's even on sale for $55. What a good deal. No. Get to check out counter and it scans in for $110 with tax. They tell me then they can let it go for $79 which is a price match guarantee but cannot give me the sale price because the sale is for an iPhone 7 or 8 but not a 7 plus. What kind of crap is this?? Even the manager throws her hands up and is like ohwell!! Sorry! Do not shop here. If u must, make sure u go online first to make sure whatever "Sale" they have matches it at checkout. I've been in retail my whole life; that's not how u operate a store. You mess up, u mess up; honor the price. Your associate even handed it to me and told me the price!!!

Terrible customer service. Black female manager couldn't care less...screwed up my Total Tech appointment. She looked angry and was hostile. They have the worst service...but what do you expect from people who don't know anything and don't want to work?

Roamed around the laptop section for 15 minutes. Asked one blue shirt if he had time to assist me. He blinked a few times then said yes. Offered zero actual insight on the laptop options then sent me around the corner to look at a model. Never saw him again. Approached a different blue shirt, moderately more helpful, but kept trying to sell me a $700 laptop I didn't want. Ended up going with the 'cheaper' $350 model. It sucked - immediately knew I wanted to return it. Issues when trying to return it, of course. I feel bad for anyone who's not tech-savvy and goes in there cause they'll probably be duped into over-spending on a bad model. Shopping Amazon from now on.

This is a follow up on my review about the Best Buy on 62nd and Broadway. Since the people at 62nd and Broadway were NOT helpful in any way, I came to the Best Buy on 5th Ave. WHAT. A. DIFFERENCE!! Everyone was SO kind, helpful, calm, and not caddy at all. They helped me with everything dealing with that terrible Lenovo Yoga 730 laptop. (Reminder: do NOT buy that laptop) Thank you Nicari and Jalil at Geek Squad. You two were INCREDIBLY helpful and you MUST be acknowledged for that. So if you want a better experience with this store... AVOID Best Buy on 62nd and Broadway DO GO to the Best Buy on 5th Ave. Happy (Best)Buying!

Worst best buy but all best buy are bad anyways! I am looking for phone stabilizer and the first guy that I asked said that he does not know and asked me to go to the phone department. The guy in the phone department told me that he does not work on the phone department. Like wth? So who should I ask? Nobody on the entire store?! I got annoyed and left.

To me a Best Buy is a Best Buy is a Best Buy. Depending on my needs at the time and my location in my metropolis is when I might drop in here. The last time I was in this location was when I was meeting friends for dinner nearby and I needed the "Deadpool 2" Blu-ray :) So essentially I went in and picked up the video and left. Easy as pie. One thing I noticed about any BB location is that its a crapshoot on whether or not a staff person knows what is there or where something else might be. Granted a video person would not know the appliance section but they should have the mindset in keeping the customer there instead of finding them discouraged or annoyed and leaving without any kind of purchase. Overall this is an okay spot when I need something, if I am right there. Otherwise I generally go to the one on 14th Street in Union Square.

So I go in at 5:38pm today. Go to the phone area. There maybe 4 people looking at phones, 1 person is helping a customer. I know whay I want and he tells me he will have someone help out. He goes over to the 7 people near the phones ans registers who are just standing around not doing anything. I see them talk and he then gets a hug from a friend. And walks off. Stand there thinking someone would walk over. Nope no one at all. They stand in the same spots not giving a Damn. About customers or helping people. So I walked out after waiting 10 mins for np service.

Not so big as B&H but the Brazilian guy who help us to buy few things was the difference. The prices are similar to B&H.

This particular customer service is the worst!!!! They didn't give me all my items after our repair. We had to go back the next day. Why on earth did I have to wait over 30mins just to pick up a wire you forgot to give me. Never again will I ever go here to do my repairs. Every other best buy that I have ever been too honors the appointments that you have to make. This place doesn't. The have like little kids working in the back. I wouldn't be surprised if they copy you data and keep it. BEWARE!!!! Go to a different BB. They need to hire some new people and have more people. This is completely unacceptable. I will never go here again. The best customer service is in Rego Park and the Astoria location. Awful, just awful.

I'm only giving this place three stars because the young woman in the camera section was so helpful that I waited awhile for her to be free again in order to get credit for the sale. The second she walked away while I was mulling over my decision, no less than five obnoxious and creepy male employees weren't leaving me alone - I literally had to tell the manager to get away from me. One young, white male there thought it was appropriate to call me "sweetie," and it was immediately revolting. I almost didn't make my purchase because the male camera employees were so awful, but the woman who assisted me - Novella - was a pleasure. She was kind, real, and knowledgeable, and I appreciated her approach. In the end I bought a camera and some accessories but only from her, as her associates belong in the retail Hall of Shame.
