The Best Crowd-Free Beaches in Europe to Visit This Summer

"Betina Cave Beach in Croatia is not a soft-sand beach but boasts being a beach within a cave. Hidden within the rocks, this pebbly stretch of coast is unusually shaped and is lapped by crystal-clear waters. Because it cannot be reached by land, it is never crowded with bathers."

Accessible by kayak:boat. It’s a cave, but nothing special. Only worthwhile if you want to swim. Lots of jelly fish in April (mating season).

Well worth a visit. You can rent kayaks from the old town, which is around 30 minutes of easy paddling to get here. There's loads of fish in the shallows, and the water is stunning.

This cave beach is not reachable by walking there. The only ways are by boat or you swim over from a nearby public beach but the waves can be very rough. Can only see it from a side view if you walk down a fairly steep staircase nearby and look over.

The water is insanely clear! I went on a kayak early in the morning and there were few people in the cave when we arrived. It was very pleasant to just chill and spend some time in the water but a big bunch of people were heading in as we were leaving. The guide also said that the cave can get super crowded during the day in peak season, where people have to queue to get in and out of the cave. Its not a big space and I imagine that will not be fun anymore so timing is key for best experience!

Very beautiful mini hide-out beach, we went there by Kajak on a sunny day which made our experience even more interesting. There were in total 3 Kajaks + 2 other small private tour ships and we had enough place to have fun.

Went here by kayaking from Old Town. I guess there’s no other way to reach here but by kayak/boat. Tiring but worth it as it felt exclusive beach. The beach has a lot of pebbles/small rocks so bring some good swimming shoes to avoid hurting your feet.

Yes, it's full of tourists but kayaking here and taking a swim was worth it. Got in at about 11 am and more people started showing up.
