"This cozy, yet busy cafe named after owner Betsy Markey makes crepes paired with a breakfast shot of whiskey, OJ, Buttershots, and bacon — a very intriguing morning option. Starting at 7 a.m. every day, choose crepes filled with simple cinnamon and sugar or overstuffed options like the Superman with eggs, bacon or sausage, peanut butter (yes, that’s right), bananas, and Nutella. Gluten-free crepe options, zesty soups, pressed paninis, and salads round out the menu." - Nikki Miller-Ka

I stopped here for lunch on a Monday, and it was already busy. I ordered the Monte. It was an incredible combination of flavors. The fries were crisp, not greasy, and well seasoned. My order arrived hot and in a timely fashion! I will definitely be going back!

Google
Let me tell you, the picture does not do "Le Bella" justice. This isn't just a crepe; it's a culinary masterpiece tucked inside a delicate, perfectly cooked shell. The combination of cheeses alone - the creamy ricotta, nutty Swiss, tangy goat, and melty mozzarella - was a symphony of textures and flavors. Each bite offered a slightly different nuance, preventing any single cheese from overpowering the others. And the garlic cream sauce? Oh my goodness. It was rich, savory, and had just the right amount of garlicky punch to tie everything together beautifully. It wasn't heavy or greasy, but rather a luxurious blanket coating the delicious fillings.

Google
Such a cute local place for break and brunch! We got the Popeyes and strawberries and cream crepe. Service was quick and friendly.

Google
A busy breakfast/brunch spot in the heart of SP. This was the first time returning in years. They have an extensive menu (perhaps a little overwhelming to be honest) but boast freshly made crepes and waffles. The portions are pretty small so I’d recommend ordering multiples if you have a big appetite. Their coffee drinks were milk heavy and lacking flavor. It’s a busy spot though, with unique decor and kitsch dining ware!

Google
I’ve eaten here a few times and the food is always really good. Last time we got the Le Popeye and the s’mores sweet crepe. They were both delicious! The interior is cozy and eclectic. The service is usually good but a little rushed. It’s always so busy in there though so I don’t blame them. Highly recommend if you haven’t been!

Google
What a nice place for brunch or lunch! I went here on a Saturday at noon, and despite the business the staff was very kind and helpful! We ordered a great deal of food for a reasonable price and left very satisfied. I ordered the New Yorker, a savory crepe with smoked salmon, a waffle, eggs, and bacon. The waffle was perfectly soft and tasted like butterscotch with the melted butter and syrup. An overall enjoyable experience and I’d love to come back!

Google
Eclectic place in southern pines. Great breakfast menu and the food hit the mark. Coffee was refilled constantly and the waitress was awesome. Highly recommend stopping in, I'll be back again.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant a few days ago and absolutely loved it! The food was amazing and priced very well. The service was great and our waitress made sure to check on us every few minutes to make sure we were doing well. I got the sundae crepe (ice cream, bananas, strawberries, chocolate, pecans, and blueberries subbed for pineapple), my boyfriend got a scrambled egg bowl with bacon, mushrooms, and cheddar, and then we had an order of cheese bites to split. Overall wonderful experience with amazing food and service — I have no doubt we’ll be back soon!

Yelp
We recently revisited Betsy's for the first time in many years and had a great experience. We have been going since it opened. They have really settled into a good groove and are deserving of local legend status. Despite that, we found the prices were very good and service remained wonderful. On the whole, this makes for a great value. Ambiance is small-town cafe / house restaurant. It's quirky and can be a bit loud, but we like it. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Yelp
Scale 1-5 ( 5 highest rating) First time here visiting family. Food 5 - I ordered a Ham panini and so flavorful with caramelized onions . I added jalapeños for some kick. Didn't take pics. My spouse ordered the sundae waffle and highly recommend. Excellent coffee as well. Service 5 got seated right away. Staff attentive

Yelp
We visited Southern Pines from Georgia and had to try Betsy's Crepes! It is a bustling place for breakfast! We chose to sit in one of their booths. Laura, our waitress, was amazing! She offered us great breakfast suggestions. I got the basic crepe with eggs, cheese and bacon! My husband got the Joan of Arc crepe. Our entire group loved our food! Mine was savory and my husband's was sweet. We loved the service, atmosphere and food! It is a must visit place if you're ever in the area!

Janet R.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous! Our group ordered quite the variety of dishes, both savory and sweet. The Samurai, New Yorker, blintzes, waffles and more. All was delicious.

Marlena L.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here with my daughter and fiancé. The cozy unplanned window seat provided a stunning view of the Christmas horse parade. Santa surprised us by walking by the window, and when he noticed our little one, he came inside to spread holiday cheer. Despite some initial hesitation, our daughter will cherished the memorable encounter. The crepes were delicious, and the festive atmosphere made our celebration extra special. A delightful experience for a special day!

Chrystal B.

Yelp
Bon magnifique! The experience at Betsy's Crepes was outstanding! All the different crepes we ordered were delicious. You can't go wrong with any kind. The mimosas were excellent as well. I recommend getting a side of bacon and grits to go with your crepe. The grits were so creamy and the best I've ever had. Although sometimes the staff were preoccupied with helping so many customers, they are capable of providing excellent service and hospitality. The restaurant captures the French ambiance perfectly.

Ashley W.

Yelp
Super cute spot. Right in the middle of the cute downtown, great crepes and friendly service. My friend and I shared 5 different crepes, that's the way to go! I don't think one crepe would satisfy you, plus, they have some wild combinations that are fun to try

Sarah B.

Yelp
I truly can't complain! This place is perfect! It's so famous in Southern pines and our server crushed it! He was super fast and had amazing recs!

Amy P.

Yelp
We traveled from Fayetteville to try out this restaurant for breakfast and it did not disappoint. We were seated immediately and served drinks. The food took a little longer to arrive but it was well worth the wait. I forgot to take pictures before we started eating. I had the raspberry blintz with scrambled eggs and cheese. My daughter had their simple crepe with eggs and avocado toast. We both loved our meal. They also serve lunch and dinner crepes which we can't wait to come back and try. Server 8 was a phenomenal waitress with a beautiful smile and attitude. Good food, friendly, prompt service and a quaint atmosphere. We highly recommend Betsy's Crepes.

Vee R.

Yelp
The Southern Pines community is quiet, clean and welcoming. Betsy's Crepes restaurant was a hot spot this past Saturday for all sorts of groups. The customer service was very nice and the restaurant was clean. The attire is dress casual and comfortable especially since the weather is always changing. The wait time was about 30min but since there are shops to see in the area it wasn't too bad. The food variety is good to have and all meals came nice and hot. I like the cozy seating the most cause it almost makes it feel like you're at home in your kitchen nook. I recommend this place for families and friends.

Lilly M.

Yelp
The food here was delicious and the service was friendly. They have a great menu with lots of options they even have a very interesting cocktail menu! The check was given to us before being asked if we wanted anything else I would've loved to try a crepe maybe next time. The country fried steak was great and so were the biscuits!

Kendra S.

Yelp
Love this place! The decor is antiquey and fun. I enjoy an eclectic look and this is perfectly done. My daughter had the lavender/vanilla latte and enjoyed every drop. I had the hot chocolate which was a 10 out of 10...it was so delicious. My parfait crepe was delicious and I would get it again and again. My husband had the egg bowl and enjoyed it. Overall, service was quick and our food arrived quickly-especially considering it was a Saturday morning. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Alexandra E.

Yelp
Every time I come here I'm impressed with the line waiting to get in! The staff is friendly despite always being on the go, and always efficient. The food is delicious, drinks are wonderful and the restaurant is always clean. Food is fresh and hot and generally comes out quickly. Definitely a must in the area!

Ashley F.

Yelp
Stopped here during my travels with work to have a quick breakfast. They have a ton of crepes here including breakfast and lunch crepes both sweet and savory. They have a few different types of crepe batter which I think is cool. I tried the Hungarian which was a sweeter batter with vanilla and cinnamon. I got the simple crepe and it was delicious. It was kind of thin but taste wise I had no complaints. I also ordered a side of crispy bacon and potatoes. Both of my side options tasted really good. It took me a while to get my order taken but after it was taken the service was top notch. The set up is there a front and back room and I sat in the front near the specials board. I saw they had a few cool cocktails like a peach old fashion. Also the food is very affordable. Overall I enjoyed my experience here and hopefully I can come again one day when I'm traveling near the town.

Ashley D.

Yelp
So glad finally able to get in here. If you come on the weekend, get here early or expect to wait. But definitely come during the week. We literally sat right down. The food was phenomenal and was such a cozy diner feel. Can't wait to come back with my husband and daughter.

Doreen H.

Yelp
The crepes are phenomenal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. A very popular location for visitors and locals alike

Yemi C.

Yelp
Found this location during a family trip. I'd only had crepes once before. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The decor is cheerful and inviting. We were a big group and did not have too long of a wait. Found a record shop a few doors down to pass the time. I love a clean kitchen and always sneak a peek before ordering. Their kitchen was awesome, especially considering it was a packed house with a line. Great place for family and friends. Great options and the service was terrific. Definitely recommend. Oh, street parking... #yumyumyemi For more: See TikTok/ Instagram

Yelp
We've eaten here for breakfast and lunch, both times the food was delicious! I had the "All" panini, my husband and son had a crepe dish, Eiffel and my husband had one with chicken, just can't remember the name, everyone enjoyed their lunch! It's a cute restaurant with friendly staff! I'm sure we will be back the next time we're in town!

Jessica H.

Yelp
Mediocre crepes. Buckwheat and whole wheat crepes tasted exactly the same. There seemed to be hardly any seasoning. Just boring, and skimpy on the cheese and chicken that we paid extra to add. Cute ambiance and adequate service.

James M.

Yelp
Great spot located in heart of downtown Southern Pines. Cool place to walk, window shop and pretend you are in Mayberry, just need a Barney. Sister recommended and it was worth the stop, friendly staff, and plenty of seating. I am not a big crepes guy so I went with Chicken Salad Croissant. It was delicious, did a side of fries (Pommes frites), which were also tasty, just a tad too much salt. Wife went with a Panini, she enjoyed it. Overall everything was delicious, just a little heavy on the salt.

Samantha C.

Yelp
I love the food at Betsy's for breakfast and brunch and make it a point to come everytime im visiting family in the area. However, they really could do with a text system to put you on the waiting list so you don't have to just stand around waiting to be called forever. It's downtown so people could go to the shops, walk around, have fun. Instead you must wait to hear your name. When they upgrade they will definitely be five stars!

Caleb B.

Yelp
Food was delightful I got the grits and it was good the service was in 15 min or less decorations were pretty

Marla Caryn S.

Yelp
Fast, friendly, super popular, delicious! There's definitely something for everyone on the menu! Sweet, savory... you name it! The cocktail menu is also impressive!

Jay M.

Yelp
Should have ordered crepes ... it's called Betsy's Crepes ... they looked good ... instead my wife and I each ordered a chic salad on croissant ...basically a tablespoon of chic salad on a mini croissant . The basic lemon crepe was very good ( for dessert) . Next time I'll get crepes and redo my review based on that . Based on the chic salad on croissant ... it's not that great .

Autumn B.

Yelp
Fantastic place for gluten free crepes. Huge portions. Fair prices. Great service. I love sitting outside, I feel a little cramped inside. Bathroom is interesting. The building looks old but still beautiful. Great part of town. Before or after brunch you can enjoy the small town with just a short walk around. Seriously though, I know you're reading this to know about the food. Go. Don't hesitate because there maybe a line. The menu is impressive. Order something for now and for later if you can't decide. Or if you live close enough, come back tomorrow. We live an hr away and it's worth the drive on a Saturday morning. And if I get a day to be lazy it's worth the drive during the week

Rooney M.

Yelp
All around great breakfast experience, with delicious crepes. Service was great and food was excellent.

Eric R.

Yelp
Very unique crepe options and awesome service. Definitely a fun place to go. Very busy, but they do a super job of taking care of you.

Dano B.

Yelp
food was delicious and the price was way cheaper than ihop. Service was decent. Get there early on the weekends; gets really busy around 9.

vivian r.

Yelp
Really good crepes. I had an office breakfast here with about 10 people. Great service and my crepe was delicious. The coffee was great too. The locals I came with swear by this place. I would definitely come back if invited. Coming to Moore county I have to have a reason.

Blake G.

Yelp
Cute, medium sized breakfast joint specializing in their Famous crêpes. I don't go crazy over pancakes, and I've never had a savory crêpe, but wow! Well done Betsy! After eating I found myself hungrier than when I walked in from the sheer deliciousness Friendly service and good food, I recommend ordering a sweet and a savory crêpe

Priscilla P.

Yelp
The crepes are absolutely delicious. They have gluten free options as well! The crepes are very nicely filled. The only down fall was the service. The hostess was so rude when we walked in. We did a pick up order online while we waited for our order we went in and asked if we could order some to go coffees while we wait. She rolled her eyes and walked away. Another gal helped us. I saw the same hostess look at another worker and roll her eyes when someone else came in and asked for a table for two.

Ernest T.

Yelp
I was out of town for business, and stopped here one morning with my son. Great food and service and very budget friendly.

Lindsay B.

Yelp
I was visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this place that looked popular and busy. For lunch, I had the Cali panini and it was delicious. Service was quick considering I ordered my food to-go and it was ready in 15 minutes. The only con about this place is that it didn't look like it was wheelchair accessible.

C H.

Yelp
If your in Southern Pines you gotta hit this place up! Great food Great drinks It can get busy at times but I think it's worth the wait

Della R.

Yelp
The staff here are all wonderful. Food is consistently good and comes out fast! Unfortunately the coffee is consistently bad, hence 4 stars. If they would change brands or even try making a stronger brew, they'd get the 5 stars they deserve!

Rich T.

Yelp
LOUSY SERVICE! I sat down, got a menu promptly from a guy and looked at it. I got server number 8 who came and said "What do you want to drink?" with a neutral blank stare. I ordered my beverage and she asked if I was ready to order as well, which I was. I ordered a breakfast crepe, soon after I received my order and with it delivered under my dish was the bill, so tacky!! She never came back (NOT ONCE) to see if the meal was ok or to ask if I wanted anything else. I actually wanted a dessert crepe but decided to get up, pay, and leave. Trust me "I WON'T BE BACK!" She was too busy at the server station looking down at something. There were not that many people in the restaurant, so this was inexcusable. The food was good but not great. No garnish, just the crepe I ordered on a plate with the bill underneath. SMH!!!

Mike S.

Yelp
Great food, great service. Ambiance is comfortable, laid back. A definite go-to restaurant

Pheaba P.

Yelp
Betsey's crepes quickly became a favorite for my family. The place is always packed but somehow, they always end up finding us a table in a few minutes. The service is fast and the food is great. I am not a huge fan of their coffee or chai but they really shine in what they are known for... The crepes. They have multiple options and even gluten free batter. This place has become our go to when we have out of town guests.

Alexa S.

Yelp
I absolutely devoured their Nutella banana crepe...drool worthy. Very tasty and a decent size! It was busy when we went but we didn't have to wait, which was nice! Our server was not personable at all, but something I'm learning is just the status quo here in this area, which is a bummer because I love personable servers & they tend to get more tips ;) overall, I'd come back because the food itself was good!

John C.

Yelp
Fabulous! Evertytging is fantastic? Woul definitely recommend to anyone. Food is great!

Amber L.

Yelp
The service is nice and the atmosphere is cool. The food is good, just keep in mind that there aren't any sides unless you order them.

Mel L.

Yelp
Delicious! I always enjoy grabbing breakfast or brunch here. Service was great. Menu has a few I wanted to try. I'll be back for another selection next time. Two for two I've enjoyed my selection and choice each visit. Previous visit's choice was Le Popeye so tasty

Clarice B.

Yelp
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, the staff is wonderful, Betsy the owner is absolutely amazing, and the food is so delicious.

Kenneth T.

Yelp
Best crepes in North Carolina. If in the area a must place to eat. My wife's favorite as well.

Sandy S.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday Morning. The wait was about 20 minutes. Greeted by our server who was rude from the beginning and barely cracked a smile during our visit. Samurai- Smoked Salmon Crepe - 5/10 A+ for the idea of this crepe. However, the crepe alone was a little too tough for the blunt knife that was offered to us. The crepe was stuffed with a tiny piece of salmon(didn't taste smoked), rice, cucumber, wasabi Mayo and topped off with a thick sweetened soy sauce and sesame seeds. I'm a huge fan of crepes however, I was a bit disappointed with the overall quality and lack of customer service at this local joint!

Cheryl P.

Yelp
Really great restaurant for lunch! I recommend the panini, salad, and soup for lunch. The sweet crepes were great. Food was quick and easy to order. Plenty of seating and comfortable. Casual and low key lunch. I would definitely come back!

Willow V.

Yelp
Betsy's is amazing!! I love the cute the quaint feel of the place. The food is definitely my favorite, Koehler very pricey. For a date of 2 at breakfast, was $75. We had 1 Mimosa each, ordered crepes and tipped.

Trisha B.

Yelp
It's always going to be busy on a weekend but they move very quickly and the wait for a table and food is never long. We ordered a topped waffle with strawberry and whipped cream, a simple crepe, a breakfast sandwich and a side of eggs and bacon. Everything was good, the crepe was a little over cooked though. One day I'll try some of the amazing things listed on the menu, we weee just not super hungry. The reason for the 4 star, aside from the crunchy crepe, is the bathroom is a mess. It obviously does not get any attention during the day and it shows.

Tonya M.

Yelp
They have sweet and savory Crepes and they are delicious but don't sleep on the grilled cheese on sourdough!

Jon H.

Yelp
When travels take us to our NC home, one of our definite stops is Betsy's Crepes. Have been dining here since the inception of the business. Nestled in the downtown area of Southern Pines NC, Betsy's Crepes is a heavenly slice of America gone French crêpe. I can attest that both savory and sweet crêpes are wonderfully outstanding. Plus, they have alcohol! Having started in one section of a building on Broad st., the waiting lines of patrons made Betsy's surrender to acquiring the adjacent space, doubling its restaurant size. However, due to its popularity, one must still place a name with the hostess and wait, as lines still form. And it is worth the wait! You must take a look at the culinary delight on the photos. They take great care and pride in the service, food, and overall ambiance. Having been here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I must say the dishes ferried out are indeed grand in taste. Lé Popeye crepe is my all time favorite. As a creature of habit, will always order this as an appetizer AND something else as a main course. What? I'm a growing boy! Do yourself a favor and try this phenomenal place. Don't forget to ask for extra garlic sauce. You're welcome! Parking is free and plentiful along the town streets. Come early for breakfast (between 8:00am and 8:03am) to avoid the line. If you're there at 8:05am, good luck :p
