Amazing service, the food portions are amazing especially given the great prices its paired with. We sat outside for breakfast, the breeze on top of the laughter from other guest dining was perfect. Highly recommend

This is a nice hidden gem. The service was fast, courteous, attentive. The food was good. I would eat here again. Reminds me of how Morgan Hill use to be. You will not be disappointed.

Don't be worried about it being attached to a bowling alley!! Great experience from start to finish. Super helpful and cheerful staff, coffee was hot and promptly topped off, and the food was really good. Hands down the best hash browns I've had to date. Kudos to everyone that makes the place tick.

Was an alright place that my brother, my daughter and I went to while I was visiting Cali. It is pretty expensive though. Food was eh. Definitely have had better. Sausage links tasted different and weren't hot. Spent $70 for two plates and one child's plate. That's pretty pricey for a breakfast place in my opinion.

Great food, easy to pick something from menu, and fast. Service was quick and efficient but a bit loud. Very much like a diner atmosphere. Would return to try other items then I might change my rating. So far so good.

I loved the atmosphere! Especially since this is a family owned business with the owners on the floor working! And even better, the food was fantastic! There is a huge selection for both breakfast and lunch! I had the Chicken Fried Steak, made with a New York steak, and delicious country gravy, great hash browns and fantastic pancakes! The other dish, The Southern Breakfast, had 2 over easy eggs, bacon, biscuit and gravy. We also ordered a hamburger pattie to split! Our server, Rachel, was excellent and very professional! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and rate it a 5 out of 5!

Wow just wow what an amazing breakfast we had! Hard to describe the atmosphere of this family owned business. It had the charm of an old style diner. Stellar service by Randa! Order was taken and food was served promptly. My daughter’s french fries were hot and crispy! She loved her Southern Benedict and she’s a connoisseur. I had the chili verde burrito. That thing was as big as my head and weighed ten pounds. I’ll get two more meals out of it. The sauce was spectacular! The meat was tender and the potatoes perfectly cooked. I saw a club sandwich on a plate and it was huge! This is a very special place. I will be back and bringing my friends and family! Thank you!

Betsy's is a cozy diner attached to the Morgan Hill bowling alley and serves up some hearty breakfast. We arrived on a Sunday around noon and waited outside for about 20 minutes. Chicken fried steak is my go-to order at any breakfast spot and Betsy's does it well. The steak was well-breaded and smothered with a tasty gravy- not bland and not overly salty. Service was fast and kind. My friend ordered onion rings but received a side of fries instead. They promptly apologized about it and fortunately my friend wasn't too bothered.

I was shocked and completely caught off-guard with the closing of this place!! There was no sign or a note explaining to customers what happened??

The food here is amazing and delicious when visiting today. Jennifer and the rest of the staff were super attentive and helpful. Must visit stop in Morgan Hill for breakfast/lunch and will be planning to return in the near future!

Met up with a friend for breakfast on a Tuesday. The place was packed which is always a good sign. This location is big and has a big parking lot. When seated I got the menu and was asked if I would like anything to drink. We both order coffee. After getting out coffee we were asked if we knew what we wanted. We said a few more minutes since it was our first time there, we had to check the menu first. what we order: drinks: -coffee 1/5: coffee was very bland and didn't have much flavor. It tasted like decaf. food: - Denver Omelet with hash browns and pancakes. 3/5. Pancakes were good and so was the omelet. However, the hashbrowns were not crispy. - 2 eggs, toast, hashbrowns and fruit. 2/5 Overall, the food and service were okay.

Stop by for breakfast, it was an interesting location behind a strip mall all the way in the back in a corner. Thankfully GPS took me right there. I was greeted quickly and was escorted to a booth. Asked what I'd like to drink and I asked for water which they came back right away with. My favorite breakfast is Chicken Fried Steak which I wanted to try. I must say I've never had a Chicken Fried Steak ever prepared in this manner. It was actually a thin piece of steak, Fried with no batter and covered in gravy. So basically "Fried Steak" and Gravy. The steak was tough and jerky like. Hash Browns and Eggs were cooked fine but I left 3/4s of the steak behind. For me the meal was a 2 out of 5. This location is right across the street from my works branch office which I have to go to quarterly for meetings. I will give this place one more try choosing a different meal.

What can I say, overall great! The staff works together and gets everything done in the quickest way possible. It's like a finely tuned machine even though they are always packed. After a few times going, they learn your likes and give you your drink immediately, I don't even have to ask. I even ordered the other day while walking in the door (she already knew). Food is great, big portions, average prices. I'm glad my neighbor (who works there) told me about this place! It's become a weekly favorite.

This is the best breakfast place in town. I have tried them all and Betsy's offers the best food for the best prices. Jenny and her staff are friendly, efficient, and make my family and I feel important. Jess and his crew have been in the business for 30+ years and I absolutely love this place for breakfast and/or lunch.

Betsy's is our go to family place to eat out. The staff are awesome , food is fantastic! That home good cooking is definitely here at Betsy's!

I was excited to try something local but I was disappointed. I found the potatoes too salty and the Florentine eggs Benedict was just OK. My wife had an eggs sandwich that looked like my teenager prepared it. I will say, the service is quick and friendly, and the food came out in no time. I probably wouldn't come back.

The wait time for our table didn't take too long. As we got to our seats there were some flies around it, it was a little concerning. We ordered the food and it took kinda long. Either way, the French toast was average.

Fast friendly food was delicious the service was impeccable always someone there to serve. It's small place but they have their rotation down not a long wait for anything we walked in sat down and were served drinks upon arrival. Orders were taken and within minutes our food was served. This is a diner model any restaurant could use to show what getting people in and out served and happy with an appetite to come back looks like. During a recent visit to Betsy's Restaurant in Morgan Hill, CA, I brought my family, including some first-time visitors, with the hope of creating a positive experience. Unfortunately, the morning took a disheartening turn when a piece of food accidentally dirtied a salt shaker at our table. Rather than addressing the matter professionally, our server, Jenny Rogers, who is also one of the owners, made derogatory comments towars my children , such as 'Who invited these bunch of animals?' and 'bring them out more often so they know how to act.' This unprofessional behavior not only overshadowed the initial positive aspects of our visit but also left a lasting negative impression, especially on those new to the restaurant. It's disheartening that a simple incident escalated into such an unpleasant experience. -- at Betsy's Restaurant & Lounge.

The food was ok, nothing great. Chile verde is more on the brown side, eggs regular not bad, toast regular not bad. The location is in a findable area. The servers thought they are straight up rude/aggressive. I had one come ask us what we wanted super aggressively, I wasn't done eating but my husband was and the lady came to get the tab. I checked receipt and noticed my husband left a tip I asked why and he said he felt pressured to leave tip. I wouldn't recommend this place tbh. We were recommended this place unfortunately.

This diner definitely gives off a "small town where everybody knows your name" vibe. The staff is kind and attentive. The food is solid, but not much to write home about. We had the benedict and crispy chicken sandwich. The benedict was done well and had a good amount of vegetables. The chicken was crispy but the sandwich didn't have a lot of flavor and was a little dry.

I have a lifelong competition with my brother to find the best chicken fried steak on the planet. When a friend told me that Betsy's had the best one he ever had I had to try it. The opportunity came when we found ourselves in Morgan Hill shopping at our favorite produce stands and wineries. I was told that my favorite, Chicken Fried Steak, was a hand tenderized New York steak topped with house made gravy. So many restaurants serve what appears to be a frozen breaded product and a pasty premade gravy. Scanning the menu I was also surprised to find the offered my wife's favorite house made corned beef hash. I ordered both. My wife chose hash brown potatoes and I chose the country potatoes. Both were good choices. My Chicken Fried Steak and gravy was as good as my home cooked version. My wife's corned beef hash plate is her new favorite. We will be back. One thing worth noting is that they close at 2PM. We got there at 1:30 PM but they we were not rushed when our food got there close to closing time.

This was our second time visiting Betsy's restaurant and we will be back for sure! Jennifer (hopefully I have the correct name!) was our server and was so attentive! When we asked about the history of the restaurant, she shared that it has been a family owned business for decades. While we were there, we witnessed numerous people being warmly welcomed with "how is your mom?", "how was the trip?", etc. The food is yummy and Jennifer helped our friend customize his meal. He was super happy! We had my dog with us, so the outside eating area is very helpful. Family owned businesses are a special gem and we'll be back for sure!!

I came here with my team for lunch since we were in Morgan Hill and this was their go-to spot. I could see why, it's in a decent plaza with plenty of neighboring traffic/exposure! I ended up ordering the California Chicken Sandwich with bacon, and avocado on grilled sourdough bread (I opted for no jack cheese) and fries. The waiters are very friendly and came by to chat with us about our day and fill our coffee frequently. I wasn't very hungry that day, but the food was really good! It was filling and very well made. The fries were also amazing, I let them steal a few since I was unable to finish everything. Ambiance is very all-American diner-esque, this place still had an ebb and flow of customers at 1 pm! Definitely a testament to the quality of food and people.

We stopped in for a Sunday breakfast. This cute diner is such a gem! We were warmly greeted at the door and quickly seated. Our server, Jordan was friendly and attentive. She was patient with all my questions about the menu. I finally decided on the biscuits and gravy which were delicious. Nice fluffy biscuits with a gravy that was made like grandma did. I'm Betsy's one of my regular stops. The food, the service and the vibe are good to go!

My friend & I were having brunch on Friday. She wanted to go to Mo's but I convinced her to come to Betsy's. 1. The food portions are awesome! It's definitely a great price for all of the food on the plate. 2. The coffee is always fresh & great. Free refills, anyone? :) 3. The busboys or people who bring the drink orders are so polite, sweet and friendly. Excuse my previous post. I was probably exhausted, & needed my coffee. 4. Their country potatoes are seriously some of the best! I told her she had to try them. I am currently obsessed with the #2 club sandwich because of the avocado. I went for a hike the other day & came starving. I ordered the Chorizo Pile & it was plenty! Def a great portion! :) I've been coming here for years and, regardless of time passing or new chains built in Morgan Hill, the food here tastes homemade and the place gives off homey vibes.

Was in town for a wedding and breakfast is my hubby's favorite meal of the day so I hopped on yelp and this place was one of the top selections. I told hubby to pick where we went and he chose Betsy's. After our meal it was clear he made the right choice!! Walked up and there was a line outside but thankfully they had a bar area (and we don't mind sitting at a bar) so we were able to sit down immediately. Service was great-staff was very nice!! Food was delicious!! Hubbys meal was the omelette and hash-browns and it came with pancakes so I ate those and ordered a side of Italian sausage and over medium eggs. The Italian sausage had amazing flavor and the pancakes were slightly fluffy with great flavor. If we were locals this would definitely be our go to spot!! Recommended!

This is a go to spot in Morgan Hill for a delish breakfast. I have been ordering the same thing for +20 years, spinach mushroom and Swiss omelet and after all this time it's still my favorite. The Swiss cheese they use is creamy and a perfect compliment to the other ingredients. I make sure to order when I pass through town, I crave this breakfast item and it never disappoints. Staff is friendly and attentive with my togo orders, year after year! And if you didn't know, it's family run. Enjoy!

We found this restaurant through Yelp on our way out of town. We sat at the counter and our experience was spectacular. This is a family owed restaurant that has been open for over 40 years. The service was extremely friendly, we left feeling like family. My boyfriend ordered the chili verde burrito which was recommended by one of the family members and I ordered the Southern Breakfast (eggs, potatoes, biscuit & gravy). The chili verde had amazing spice and was delicious. The portion is big, so come hungry. They have a green salsa which doesn't come with the burrito but be sure to ask for it, so good! It shares a door with the bowling alley, the perk with this is it gives you access to order alcoholic beverages. Highly recommend Betsy's for breakfast, we will definitely be back next time we are in town.

It's been 4 yrs since I last reviewed Betsy's and it's still one of the best places in the south bay. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. The family that run it are amazing people. From mom to the daughters and cousins, even the grand kids work on occasion. The food is better than homemade, from the corned beef to the chicken fried steak and chili verde . You can pick anything on the menu and you won't go wrong. If you have dogs they have a pet friendly patio for you to enjoy. We bring our two dogs everytime we go.

I've been visiting Betsy's with my Dad for many years and they are wonderful! Always serve delicious food and are so nice! I ordered a french toast combo and the waitress was so kind when taking my order, I got confused with what the combo came with and she told me just to tell her what I wanted. The place is just a perfect brunch spot!

A classic diner in the middle of a small town. The food was above par but can't compete with the level of service that the restaurant has. The people of the town and restaurant are so nice and welcoming it was incredible. The walls had memorabilia up and the ambience was setup to be exactly like a local diner. The Eggs Benedict was decent and nothing too crazy but it came in a timely manner and tasted decent. I had a side order of a pancake which was delicious. Overall I would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

There is no better place to enjoy a classic diner breakfast in Morgan Hill. When you are eating at Betsy's it feels like you're in your grandma's kitchen. Everything comes out quickly and someone is always nearby to refill your coffee cup. The pancakes are love at first bite and everything else we have tried in the menu has been fantastic. You really can't go wrong with anything you pick. My favorite order is a single pancake and Randa's Scramble. We have also tried several of the Benedict's and they are all wonderful as well. Don't miss out on this local gem!

I enjoyed the Chili Verde and Eggs with half potatoes and beans and also the coffee. I visited last Friday morning after 10:30am and the place was full for a reason. It's true that the chili verde is one of the best; pork was cooked just right! Friendly staff checked on us regularly.

If you're looking for a basic breakfast with friendly service, this is the place. There is nothing really special about them, or their food. But what is nice is their staff is friendly and the food comes out fast. I found it a little weird that their bathroom is in the neighboring bowling alley, and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. But, we were in town for a soccer tournament and was short on time and needed decent food. Note: They are hard to find, they are located behind the bagel shop, down an ally.

I seriously had one of the BEST breakfasts I've ever had here! And it was just two eggs perfectly cooked, bacon that was super tasty and perfectly cooked, and their house potatoes... perfectly seasoned ! Hubby had Eggs in a nest and was very impressed! The staff are so friendly and funny. Very attentive! Loved the hometown vibe inside...Betsy's is on our must always list when traveling near Morgan Hill!

Delicious food, fun friendly people, and a family atmosphere that you want to bring your family too. Jennifer was my waitress and she made me laugh and smile and made me feel at home as she worked hard to make sure everyone was happy with their meal. I'm definitely coming back here to treat myself to Betty's Homestyle cooking.

My husband and I have been in Morgan Hill almost a year now and finally tried Betsy's. We brought my parents and boy let me tell you, we were wowed! We had the pleasure of being served by Betsy herself (to our surprise). Not only was the service top tier, but the food was amazing as well. We also were able to meet her daughter Randa, who helped continue the 1st class service. We were in awe of the attentiveness and welcoming smiles. This type of service is hard to come by these days and definitely deserves to be recognized! Keep up the great work. We obviously will be back! Ps. Cece is amazing, too! Pancakes, onion rings, and chicken fried steak are a must!! You're welcome!

One of my all time favorites. The homemade corn beef and the chili verde are unreal...and there ain't nothing like Betsy's pancakes. You can't even explain it

Just good comfort food for the price. Friendly service, very approachable. Sometimes I wish it were larger and furniture more cozy, you know those billowy button style. Family operation cares about getting the food to you and you Leave filled and satisfied. Has always been my go to breakfast and lunch when time is important.
