Better Buzz Coffee Escondido

I’m so disappointed in my experience here today. I’ve ordered a turkey pesto sandwich many times from Better Buzz before. Today was a different story. The sandwich was wet and soggy, it was literally so disgusting, I was only able to take 2 bites out of it before throwing it in the trash where it belongs. They’re really deceptive on their website because the sandwich looks really crispy in their pictures but this time around they didn’t even toast it and it was just wet bread. Also, to make matters worse, I’m now extremely sick from the sandwich. I’m having stomach issues and I’m dealing with nausea/vomitting now. Stay away from their sandwiches. They don’t know how to make them properly and it’ll make you sick.

Absolutely love this store. I come here frequently to come do school, and I feel super recognized. The employees are kind, professional, and respectful. The interior is clean and comfy, as well as inviting. Starbucks used to be my go-to, but Better Buzz has my heart.

First-time visitors at this location in Escondido. The price was about the same as Star Bucks, but my americano tasted a little burnt. Couldn't finish it. Will give it another chance maybe a different location to see if maybe coffee tastes different, I can comment on the food just ordered coffee

Lena and Pedro are the best, I’d ordered coconut matcha thinking it was warm. They were super friendly and offered to make me a warm one. Didn’t even have to leave my spot in the drive thru. You guys made my day!

Im a sucker for pumpkin drinks so when I saw their fall menu was out I immediately knew I was getting pumpkin something. Got the pumpkin chai with an added shot of espresso, topped with pumpkin cold foam. And the turkey brie croissant! It was all SOOO good. Im gonna have to stop for another soon.

I stopped by Better Buzz Coffee and tried the maple matcha, it was delicious! The drink had the perfect flavor balance, and the cashier (guy) was so friendly and helpful. Great service and a really nice atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

I started my morning hoping to redeem my rewards at Better Buzz. There was a minor innocent confusion in the order that was mainly my fault. Bee was helping me in the driveway and had the most amazing customer service and patience ever. I ended up changing my order since I the reward didn’t cover what I wanted. She ended up requesting to cover my order, which wasn’t necessary as it was mainly my fault. Great team member you have.

I have to make a statement here: the pistachio croissant is ABSOLUTELY delicious. I would definitely come here for this. This croissant was just, absolutely divine. Super buttery, flaky, and the honeycomb was beautiful! The chunks of pistachios made it so nutty, and it was a bit reminiscent of an almond croissant. Super fresh! Also got the Best Drink Ever, Horchata Latte and a ham&cheese croissant. Didn't care much for the Horchata latte, the Best Drink Ever was the better drink I would say. Ham&cheese croissant was delicious as well. Not as prominent as the pistachio croissant, but dessert croissants are in a league of its own, anyway. Would definitely come again for the croissants, and will still continue to hunt for the perfect go-to drink.

Ok initially I loved this location and the menu, but the last few months I don't know what happened. I understand prices in general are going up but with these price increases, I expect the quality to be better or at least the same and the quality of the drinks have decreased. My iced best drink ever comes out watered down and the drinks are not filled. Also, manager needs to do more staff training on customer service of staff. Sunday night (4/10) whoever was working drive thru around 7pm with the buzzed hair and little pony tail was very rude and aggressively asked for a tip while holding out the tip jar. I work customer service and this is not the way to treat your customers. You can ask, that's not the issue but to be aggressive about it and hold out the tip jar like a pan-handler is a no-no in my books. UPDATE 11/13/24 Came back to give it a second chance and still watered and not filled up.

I've always liked Better Buzz but lately, experiences here have been disappointing. First are the inconsistencies of how their drinks taste. I usually order their hot Best Drink Ever and sometimes it tastes watered down with little to no flavor. Second, is there a reason why drinks aren't made in the order they're received? I placed an order via mobile app and the drink wasn't ready until 15 min after my designated pickup time. I understand the store can get busy and drinks won't always be ready in time; however, a customer who came in after me with a pickup time after mine (I asked them and saw the ticket) had their drink ready before mine was.

I was having a slow morning while leaving my parents in Escondido and decided to stop by Better Buzz for a coffee to get a boost of energy in my day. This parking lot can be a bit chaotic but I was able to get over to the drive thru lane and I was surprisingly the only car in the drive thru. I ordered a caramel vanilla latte iced with almond milk but some of the food items sounded great I was just too full to order any but I will next time for sure. Service was super quick and both of the girls I encountered were very friendly. It seemed like there was a lot of people working inside which was surprising since it didn't seem very busy.

The team was so helpful and kind! The cashier went above and beyond. She made a mistake and the manager insisted I take the coffee that was a mistake while they remade it how I orginally ordered. The vibes were cool too with the great music! Gotta give credit where credit is due!!! PS- I LOVE THE YOGURT BOWL! SO HEALTHY, DELICIOUS, AND GREAT QUALITY INGREDIENTS!

In need of a quick pick me up, I went through better buzz's drive thru this morning. The line was pretty long, but it moved quickly and the order taker was training with another member. This used to be a Starbucks location but they totally remodeled it and added a drive thru when Better Buzz took it over. I got a black tea latte and an avocado toast. I had to pull around to the front and wait for them to bring out my order - not a big deal. Their tea lattes are the best! However, avocado toast was not toasted. They gave me avocado on cold bread and it was really icky. I am not sure if it was because they were rushing due to the long line or someone just forgot to toast my bread, but I had already left the drive thru and went on to my next destination before I discovered the error. I also dislike the default 25%, 20% and 30% tip options when paying with a card. I'm happy to tip but should be able to tip a reasonable amount for drive thru service. This location used to be excellent but my recent experiences here with food especially have not been great.

Nothing like a BB coffee! Stopped in for a Candy Cane Best Drink Ever to celebrate the Holidays and it was good, a bit on the sweeter side however it's the Holidays indulge! Drive-thru was quick got in and out in 4 minutes, the gal taking orders was nice and reviewed drink options for me. They had 3 Holiday options available and since I'm a fan of BDE I chose the Candy Cane option iced.

I used to come here a lot but these past few months, they have been very inconsistent with how their drinks taste. An iced best drink ever is my go to and I usually get it how it comes, but one day it was super sweet, more than usual. The next time I got it 3/4 sweet, but it was so bitter and the color was really dark so I knew it wasn't made right. I went back after that and got it 3/4 sweet again and it was even worse. I only go here bc it's closer to where I live, but I think I'm done with them.

A cool hip spot for coffee and snacks- was able to get breakfast sandwiches quickly and a delicious Acai bowl on a Sunday late morning. Even thought it's November I was able to scoop up a delicious ice pumpkin chai that I would try again! This chain is located all around our new neighborhood and beyond, excited to try other things on the menu.

Ordered a chili crunch wrap through the drive through over the weekend from here for breakfast. Had to pull around to the front to wait for the food which was fine. It came out quicker than i expected but once I took a bite i knew why. The hash brown patty inside wasn't that far off from being frozen still and was not cooked at all. Obviously made the meal completely inedible at that point. Won't be ordering food there again.

I love the atmosphere at this Better Buzz Coffee Shop. It's bright, upbeat & is kept exceptionally clean. Andrea (little boss) & Chris (manager) are both AMAZING!! They've been very helpful & patient with me & my little bee app. My order is always perfect & I appreciate their superb customer service.

Today was my favorite visit of all time! I ordered in the drive thru early this morning and was greeted at the window by a girl in an inflatable bee costume with the biggest smile on her face! I was so taken aback even though she said "Buzz on up to the window and say hi to our bee!" I thought she was being silly and trying to be on brand. This made my morning and started off my Monday and my week with such a positive energy and vibe!

I love that this place has a drive-thru. I bought 2 Iced Mochas Blended with oat milk, and they were delicious! Highly recommend! Service was fast and the woman who gave me my coffee was really nice. She also offered my dog a pup cup. It cost $14 for 2 Regular sized coffees. I will be back! The inside is also SUPER cute if you want to sit inside or take some Instagram photos. They sell good looking merch, too (such as cups, reusable bottles, shirts, and sweaters). This morning I also bought 2 sandwiches and they were good!

Plenty of parking or Drive Thru available. Staff is super friendly and greet you upon arrival. Inside decor is modern. Coffee is consistently tasty. Food look apprising as well. Free WiFi, ask for the password. Some seats available inside, but plenty of outside seating as well. Great place.

This location sucks. I typically go to the Carlsbad one near my house. Their drive through took forever and then when we got to the window, my drink was missing whipped cream. (It was ordered and read back to me). I said "oh I think that's supposed to have whipped cream??" And the girl at the window scoffed at me and walked away. Said something rude about me to her coworker who proceeded to look right at me with a dirty look. Then, she dumped a third of my drink out to add whipped cream. Paid full price to have a drink manhandled and dumped out. Very bad experience.

First time here and they are busy! The line moves quickly and doesn't take long for your coffee. I didn't want any thing fancy, just a cup of coffee. I had to wait for them to brew more, it didn't take long and it was nice and fresh! The woman at the counter was very friendly and helpful! Don't live in the area, but would definitely return!

Great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. I have never tried any sweets, but everyone speaks highly of everything they have to offer.

I love better buzz for their convenience and Ordered an 1 acai bowl (literally $11) from the drive thru 1 hazelnut divinity ($7+) & 1 best drink ever. ($7) Everytime I come here, they always ask me to park in the pick up spot, for 3 items... even though there is no one behind me in line. The worst part of the pick up line it's not regulated so if they already had 2 other people park there you have to find a random parking spot and hope they remember what car you drive, sometimes i even have to go inside and pick up my order. What's the point of having a drive thru order taker, if half the time their headset dies and they can't beat the flow of the cars, might as well use the drive thru order screen so people can see their menu. I know it's to get their drive thru line times down, but if that's the case.. at least have a menu outside ready, and half 1 person order on the screen and 1 person taking orders alternating. There's no reason to have someone outside in the heat or cold if some people in line have no idea what they want to order yet and hold up the line.. Also.. please at least fill up my acai bowl?? SUPER skimpy on the acai, it wasn't even filled halfway, especially if you're paying that much for an acai. The only reason I'm giving a few stars is for the drive thru guy in the morning, he's really nice and has great customer service.

I tried Better Buzz for the first time this morning. I'd heard good things about it, however, when I got my cortado, the espresso tasted burnt and I couldn't even drink it! We were on the way to an early morning meeting and I didn't have time to turn around. Guys, you need to do better!!

One of the reasons I prefer butter buzz over Starbucks is because better Buzz uses a frother for their Matcha and Starbucks stirs Matcha. I frequent at Better Buzz daily and lately their Matcha has been clumpy and gathered at the bottom of the cup just like Starbucks has their Matcha when they stir it. Sucks to continually be disappointed, y'all were my fav/: The picture attached is of the clumps of Matcha and the bottom of the cup after attempting to stir it with the straw for about five minutes

Amazing service! went on saturday to get an açaí bowl, the girl working the drive thru was so helpful and helped me find which would be best for me. She was so nice enough to bring my food out to my car as fast as she could:) Workers are always so kind.

Cashier service could be friendlier for sure, like at the other locations I've been to. But drinks were delicious and done super fast! I got their Barista's Pick, which was an iced lavender matcha oat milk latte. Highly recommend trying it if you like those flavors. Balance is just right!

Came in not knowing what to get since they have a good variety of drinks however vanessa happily recommended me a chai buzz with cold brew & added peppermint & let me say I'm addicted to this drink 10000/10 recommend will be coming back for another recommendation! Quick & easy service through the drive thru vibes were awesome!

I am a frequent Better Buzz Escondido visitor and am always greeted by name and with a warm smile by Nicole and Nicky. My order is always correct and it is something I look forward to. Thanks to Nicole's suggestion, I am now a BB coffee bean customer also for those times when I cannot make it to BB and make coffee at home. My go to drink is an iced vanilla latte, and now they have a waffle sandwich which is very tasty. Cannot go wrong with anything you order Thank you!

Lifelong BB committed lover here. I want to relay a bad experience I had at your Escondido location today, Saturday 09/07. Drive thru line took a good 20 minutes, 5-6 cars ahead of me and maybe 4 behind. It seemed they were taking one car, pausing the order, until the window car left. By the time I realized I was stuck, I saw multiple customers go in and out of the storefront. I assumed short staffing, until I finally got to the window by 1:57 and counted 8-9 employees standing there. 5 chatting, maybe one customer ordering, maybe none. How are 8-9 employees not able to get cars thru drive thru sooner than 20 minutes? Sitting in 100 degree weather, driving out of my way to get my favorite Iced BDE for that service sucked. I hope your amazing expansions do not deplete the great service you've gotten us historically used to. Feels like the OG, "welcome to better buzz" are not felt in the same way. Please focus on maintaining your brand and reputation, timing in drive thru should never hit 20 minutes. Hire Better, not more!

We come here frequently because we like their coffee. Every time we try and sit outside the tables are ALWAYS FILTHY! This morning 12/11/2024 it was absolutely filthy, I grabbed napkins and added water to them. I took one wipe of the table and the napkin was BLACK! Not to mention the numerous stains on every table as you will see in the photos. What a shame that they could care less because it's every time we come here. The little plant ambiance they have are filthy as well, covered in dirt and cobwebs all over them. With all the options out there, I will not be coming back. I gave them 9 visits to have freaking clean outside table. It's not rocket science, have a clean table sign in sheet every 20 minutes or whatever, put down time and sign it and the manager go look and inspect, but when you don't care this is what you get. How sad!

I had a rough morning and needed a pick me up, so I popped in earlier for a quick cup of coffee. I appreciated the menu, that was completely new to me. The milk choices are whole, soy or oat, with the sizes being 16oz or 20oz. I selected the sea salt caramel latte, 16oz. It was divine! I would so order this again, and I would also recommend it to a friend! I am curious about the rest of their menu, so I am likely to stop by again and check out their offerings. I had drive thru service, which was very prompt! I can't speak to the interior or cleanliness. But the drive thru service was very nice.

Came here this morning and got a hazelnut divinity, it was recommended and was delicious! I got mine half sweet and it was perfect. I also ordered the waffle sandwich, the barista said it was a limited time offering that was leaving soon so I had to get it, and oh boy it was so good!! Will definitely be coming back here it's such a cute cafe.

This place is so cute inside, very earthy and modern, they have cute hexagon signs with their menu and a great variety to choose from. They have ground coffee and cups available as well. I placed a mobile order through the app and it was finished up just as I got there ( just like the app said it would be) it was super simple and easy to do, I signed up for their rewards and now I have a free coffee as a reward for signing up. I got the hazelnut divinity for my coffee and it was super sweet and delicious and the avocado toast for breakfast. Everything was freshly made there and the staff were friendly. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu

After spending over $20 on a drink and açaí bowl, and tipping 25%, I got to the window, and they gave me my drink. I tasted it and it tasted like it had lots Of sugar and dairy, which I asked for substitutes and paid extra for Both!. I asked them to make sure that they did include my modifications because it tasted so good, I was being really kind and joking around, the girl at the window was super rude and remade it, then I asked for another straw, and she basically threw it into my car. Done with better buzz.

I ordered a turkey pesto sandwich and was dissatisfied with it. Additionally, I was not given napkins or a bag when my food was handed to me. The customer service needs work.

Took 20 mins to get our order. Many people that came after us about 5 other people got theirs and they just kept looking at me. Disappointing. It's also so water down. Yuck.

Nikki gave the best customer service. She went above and beyond to ensure we were happy customers. Drinks were perfect and yogurt bowl was yummy! Highly recommend.

Just had an amazing experience at Better Buzz. I love it when managers greet customers at the door. Specifically, Chris engaged our family in conversation and took the time to get to know my family. Will not only come back for the great coffee, but more importantly, the great customer service.

I wrote a less favorable review and the manager or owner provided his phone # to see how they could improve, that was awesome, it made me try it again. My complaint was the Service last time & I get everyone has a bad day, this is my 2nd time since my ladlst review that wasn't horrible but appreciate the fact people care & the last 2 times have been great experiences. Thank you! Ambiance: cool vibe, mellow music, great to meet a client, friends, do some computer work. It's clean and seats are comfy.

Made a quick stop for one of my favorite coffee shop in Escondido! I've been to a few but love this one for their quick and friendly service and they make the best cinnamon cream cold brew! It always gives me the quick pick me up that I need! Love the aesthetics and vibe here too!

This is one of my go to place for a quick coffee. I like that they have a drive thru and they are fairly quick to get your order and have it ready for you at the window. The employees that take your order outside and friendly and make very good recommendations. I ordered a Better Breakfast Sandwich that is on a pretzel-like bun with egg, bacon and greens. The sandwich was a bit messy but the taste was very good. It wasn't too salty and the veggies were crisp. I am also a big fan of their pumpkin muffin which is fairly spicy (pumpkin spice) and it has a good crunch with the pumpkin pepitas and walnuts inside. My drink today was a dirty pumpkin chai with oat milk which complimented my overall Fall themed lunch really well.

FINALLY tried Better Buzz for the first time and I am very impressed! The coffee is delicious and their assortment of pastries is excellent. Highly recommend the chocolate banana bread

My favorite coffee shop when I want a treat. I enjoy the coconut buzz with coconut milk. Drinks are pretty sweet and pricey but as expected. I prefer going to this location since it has a dine-in area and has faster service than the busy drive-thru one off of San Marcos.

We popped in on the way to a funeral and were greeted by a huge staff. I counted 14 staff members behind the counter. We placed our order and my friend got her drink within 5 minutes. Great. 15 minutes later, my drink was still not up. Most of the staff were standing around, on their phones or chit chatting with each other. It was frustrating. I finally asked what the hold up was... 20 minutes with 14 people working seemed excessive. Turns out that ordering a large coffee drink with only one espresso shot seemed to stump the entire staff. When my drink was finally served up it wasn't even hot. Barely lukewarm. After 25 minutes, we were late for the funeral. I won't be returning to this location.

We went in to order.The first two drinks we ordered could only be made hot. The menu literally says "most drinks are available hot or iced" so we asked how many can only be made hot, and she said just like 2 or 3. UM OK. So we got the iced horchata thinking that was the safe bet since it said iced in the name. Bird Rock has a much better dirty horchata. Any of the Portos cafes in LA do too. More importantly, the bar areas at these locations are way neater too. I have never stepped inside a Better Buzz. There's a drive-thru in San Marcos and a storefront at the mall in Mission Valley that I've been to. Unfortiunately, I learned that it is probably better not to step inside a CC cafe because this one was not clean at all. The bar where you pick up drinks looked like it was wiped down 50-60 drinks ago. Also the chairs were sticky, the table wall had coffee stains all over the underneath the table (oh lord...) it was full of crumbs and more sticky stuff. Not impressed with the coffee, service or setting. I emailed via their website, heard nothing back.

Absolutely incredible experience. The staff was super sweet and helpful so a big shoutout to the two Andrea's, Chloe, and Chris for this pleasant interaction. Will definitely be coming back.

Very disappointed. Not from the area was excited to try Better Buzz coffee for the first time, nothing special. What killed it for me was the unprofessionalism from the barista who took our order. Couldn't get his name but he was very rude and passive aggressive. There is plenty of room for improvement when it comes to their customer service, do better!

Was recommended a mango smoothie by a barista and it was terrible. The coffee was alright. Not great. Wouldn't come back.

My boys told me I have to get coffee at Better Buzz whenever we go to San Diego and they were right. I love my drink! I got a caramel buzz coffee with an extra shot of expresso. It was yummy! Unfortunately we ordered the Iced Horchata Latte and it didn't have much flavor. All the staff was super friendly and helpful.
