Better Buzz Coffee Miramar

I just had my first experience with their coffee and decided to try the Best Drink Ever with an extra shot of espresso. While it was really good, I was hoping for a bit more strength in the flavor. I also grabbed a Lemon Poppy Seed muffin, but unfortunately, it was a bit dry. Overall, it was a pleasant visit.

Great! Easy ordering and pickup, every item was well packaged and ready on time. Location is in kind of a weird place, but there was plenty of parking when I went. Hours are great for me as it's often hard to find options early in the morning (they opened at 4am).

Sure! Here’s a review you can use: ⸻ The name on the front says Coffee Roasters, but don’t let that fool you — it doesn’t feel like a real coffee roaster at all. The coffee tastes more like something you’d get at Starbucks: overpriced and underwhelming. Definitely not what I expected from a place claiming to roast their own beans. Lacks the richness and freshness you’d hope for. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for quality coffee.

This local chain coffee house had great curb appeal, and the coffee is good, but I also wanted to try one of the energy drink mixes. I got the coconut one which visually,  looked awesome, the only problem was that the flavor was muddled behind an insane amount of sugar,  which their energy drinks are packed with, and then sprinkled pop rocks on top. Sugar explosion.. The burrito that I was recommended had little flavor despite having chillies inside and the sandwich we got was much better, but not great. For the surrounding, i found better places to go.

Can’t say enough Great things about this spot. Came here with my nephew who got the mango smoothie. So yummy and refreshing! And the iced best drink ever is always absolutely amazing. Asked for it half sweet and it was so good! Atmosphere is great, no wait times, service is amazing. Rmie was the best! Staff here is always so friendly and welcoming.

I absolutely love the customer service at Better Buzz especially Rmie's. Every time I visit, the staff are super welcoming, attentive, and make me feel right at home. They’re always happy to chat, offer great recommendations, and make sure my order is just right. It’s clear they care about creating a great experience, not just serving coffee. This kind of service makes Better Buzz my go-to spot for a perfect cup every time!

It’s good, but it’s not the best coffee ever. There are a lot of good one-off spots in San Diego that do some pretty high-quality stuff. The 3-seed avocado toast is pretty good here though, even if it’s a bit expensive. It’s a good portion and the bread is cut thick. I like the “best drink ever” although I don’t necessarily think it’s the “best drink ever”—there’s a coffee stand by the river in Siem Reap, Cambodia that I think serves the best drink ever! Haha. But hey, it’s not bad for a wanna-be super Starbucks! And based on their expansion over the past few years they’re apparently making bank. So, yeah it’s worth checking out. I recommend 1) mint-infused iced coffee, 2) cinnamon cream cold brew, and 3) coconut buzz. One thing to be wary of is that it’s pretty pricey. If you get a large mint-infused iced coffee, for instance, and give a 15% tip, you’re paying like $8.50 out the door for your drink.

I come to this location often and each time my drink or food order is spot on! I usually get the same coconut buzz with an extra shot and I like to try their seasonal foods like the dream big quinoa bowl. I love the variety and and clean taste! They have even started to remember my name and order, which makes coming here more enjoyable. I usually go through drive through, but when I’ve gone inside it’s clean and I love that they have outdoor seating! Highly recommend this place and their staff!

I love this place! I love how festively they decorated their location! Plus all of the drink are so amazing, and the holiday menu is even better! This has to be one of my favorites chain coffee shops. The location is quite small, there are about five small tables inside and no outside seating. It feels like this location is geared more toward drive through customers. The staff were very friendly and my drink came out very quick!

It's unfortunate that I have to write this review as I used to previously work at this location. back in 2020, but the service and drinks were so disgusting went I went in on 12/10/24. First, when I walked in the barista looked as if they were just in a rush to make everything. It just seemed a little bit too chaotic for a coffee setting. Also, I have ordered a hazelnut divinity with a cinnamon cold foam that was supposed to have caramel in it, and it definitely did not taste like it had caramel in it. And the drink was just flat overall and it tasted a little bit like lead awkwardly... I had placed an order for an almond croissant and asked for it to be heated up, but the person at the register just handed it to me and walked away, and I had to wait for them to come back to request for my croissant to be warmed up again. Lastly, when the rest of the drinks are ordered came out the Barista didn't think to put everything into a cupholder and offer stickers so instead I had to ask for it. I just personally feel like customer service has went downhill at this location and the quality of drinks went downhill as well. I'll continue to go to the Carlsbad, OC or Escondido location.

I've been here multiple times but never to sit inside and enjoy my açaí bowl. This particular morning I decided to come in and enjoy my açaí bowl inside. The service was fast but the staff always seems overwhelmed and you can feel it . My açaí bowl is always good. Butttt I have never seen a more gross seating area than this place. There was literally people's hair on every table. I had to get a napkin just to wipe down the area I was sitting. I get that they're pretty busy but having a clean seating area isn't hard to keep up, especially in such a small place like this location. Defiantly will be my last time eating inside.

After leaving a friend's shop, he recommended Better Buzz coffee to us. Not being from the area we gave it a shot. Of course we were trying to get on the road we asked for recommendations from the staff and Best Drink Ever was the drink of choice. I can say is was a wonderful ice coffee selection and would recommend it. Granted my tired self did not catch all that goes into it and I only hear the two expressive shots. Sold.... Hahaha Overall the staff were great, pleasantly helpful and polite too. If I had more time I would have liked to check out the rest of their menu, but maybe next time. Cheers!!

Food and coffee are always great. Service is generally great too. You know what's not great? Typically this location is t as clean as the one I frequent in Temecula. Not sure if that's because they are understaffed whenever I go or if I came right after a rush but each time I go I have to wipe down the table myself. If it was a one off thing I probably wouldn't deduct a star but it seems to be a regular thing here but the coffee and snacks are great so I'll keep coming back.

I had gotten food nearby but I still wanted to get my chai tea with coconut milk at this location. It's conveniently located on Miramar Road with easy access to the drive thru. It wasn't too busy and I was able to enjoy my delicious drink and be on my merry way.

I've always been a fan of the best drink ever. Today I tried the seasonal peppermint best drink ever. It was delicious. I'm not even really a peppermint person, but the drink was speaking to me. Highly recommend!

always a nice spot to wait for an auto service, perhaps speaking from experience the employees are super friendly and I usually don't have to wait much for my orders to come out. I love how clean and quaint the interior is, although do note that the seating is quite limited. Best drink ever has never disappointed me; try it out if you find yourself here! :)

I visited this store on a rainy day, and it was just ok- the drinks are pretty well made, but they are really expensive and take too long for what they are. I ordered the Hazelnut Divinity, and it was pretty yummy! I could taste the hazelnut flavor, but the coffee personally was not strong enough for my taste. It was also almost $7. I think I waited around 25 minutes for my drink to be made - there weren't that many people in-store, but I think there may have been a lot of online/drive through orders. The ceiling was also leaking on this day, so customers were walking while looking up, trying to dodge the water that was coming down through the roof. This was an interesting experience that is maybe location-specific, but I would probably prefer some other coffee shops in the area.

As a first time customer at Better Buzz Coffee Miramar, I think there are a few things this Better Buzz could get Better At. I ordered a Turkey Pesto sandwich. When I received my sandwich, it had only Turkey and cheese, pesto was nowhere to be found. This made the sandwich then very bland and boring. Enjoyed not having to wait in any drive thru line, as we came around 5:30 AM. My candy cane drink was pretty good though. In the future, I don't think I will be returning here as $10 for a "Turkey Pesto" served as a turkey and cheese sandwich is underwhelming and seems like false advertising.

Came in for a few hours to do some work and grab a coffee. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but the barista helped me decide on the Cinnamon Cream Cold Brew which was really great. I was looking for a drink that wasn't too sweet and this one was perfect. This location isn't too big, but has a few tables inside and out to sit at. There is Better Buzz merchandise and coffee for sale in the front of the store as well. After trying this place, their coffee, and the overall vibes of the store (I love the branding and the music they were playing the day I was there) I'm really sad they only have locations towards the SD area and I don't go out there too often. I'll definitely want to stop here whenever I visit SD next. Please open up some locations in OC & LA!!

When heading to UTC, this is my go to spot for drinks and acai bowls! Conveniently located off Miramar Road, their staff are fast and diligent. The place is clean with a good amount of parking and comfy dining area My choices are always tasty and fresh. I'll be back soon.

Very cute coffee shop in San Diego! Great coffee and super friendly staff. Better Buzz delivers true to its name, which is a good strong coffee. Seating area is nice but little small and parking is a bit of an issue.

Came here based on a recommendation to try out a drink called "BEST DRINK EVER" which is a classic americano with a signature creamy vanilla. I opted for the large size which made it a triple shot! OK, definitely got a nice jolt of caffeine energy from the large drink, but I might try the "half sweet" option next time to make it a little less sweeter! The AC inside is blasting so definitely bring a jacket/sweater if you are sitting indoors. There is very limited seating both indoor and outdoor, so don't be surprised if there are no seats available. They have a drive thru option also, which makes it convenient. I will need to try ordering online next time!

A small space, the banana chocolate chip bread is phenomenal and my iced matcha latte was on the sweet side despite not having asked for any sweeteners. The few tables were all dirty, covered in crumbs. And when we walked in no one else has been waiting for coffee, however they seemed busy with the drive through because it took a while before someone could take my order.

1-25-25 I just ordered two coffees and a sandwich, sandwich taste like shit and the coffee is watered down! Whoever is working that afternoon shift needs to do a better job

We've been here once a while ago early in the morning and haven't been back since because we don't drive through Miramar much anymore. Guess what brought us back? Their hours! I think this is one of the few coffee shops open after 4:00pm (besides Starbucks), for crazies like us. The coffee is good, and the interior is cute. I've never tried the drive thru because it was busy and confusing in the past, but hopefully they've made it better since. Outside seating is ok, but there was shade after 4pm which is a plus. Indoor seating is mostly booth and communal tables, which were taken up by individuals using their laptops so it's limited. Now I just found out they have another location on Mira Mesa! I'll be checking that out soon too since I do go to the Target and the playgrounds over there often. Yay!

Bad customer service, 15 minute wait time for 1 drink in drive thru, sitting at window. And made my drink wrong

Went to get something to eat to wait out my car getting fixed nearby. I figured I had tried Starbucks enough so I would try something different. This was the closest option available. The interior space is tiny. Actually was so small that it triggered my slight claustrophobia while I sat down to eat my avocado toast, which was actually pretty good if a little plain, and acai smoothie (which tasted... interesting). I think acai is probably best in a bowl mixed with other fruit and granola. I should probably order the bowl next time. The interior space was also very loud, with the cacophonous mixture of the drink blenders, employees shouting, customer conversations, and the blaring music over the PA system. I don't know how the guy sitting next to me was able to do his work/studying on his laptop with all that noise.

The cheese danish was amazing the blue drinkity drink was very bubbly and fun and the ambiance was super chill. The workers were super nice aswell.

It sucks paying $8 for a drink you love and never getting a full drink. Went yesterday and today- no change. I check off no foam on my orders and I know when it's poured it settles but instead of waiting and make sure it's topped off they just throw a lid on it I'm better off buying the stuff to make it at home. 12/14/2023 Todays drink was less than the first two!

3.5 stars. Went here to do some work and enjoy a sandwich while my car was being serviced. I had a bacon and egg ciabatta sandwich which was quite good (the bread was amazing but nearly $11 for a sandwich is a little wild). The WiFi was shotty and kept cutting out. Restroom was clean, water was good, and the staff was kind. I wouldn't go here in person, just stick with the drive thru. Like I said, the wifi was the most frustrating part, but if you're just going for some coffee and food, shouldn't be too bad.

Better Buzz is one of my favorite coffee shops (but Dutch Bros. is #1 in my book...we need one in SD). The "Best Drink Ever" is my go-to hands down! Hot or iced, it's delish either way (I like it with a little extra vanilla powder...you can thank me later). I use to go to Fashion Valley mall just to get my fix, then Hillcrest (but parking is non-existent) and PB...but now that Mira Mesa and Miramar have Better Buzz in the 'hood we have more opportunities to get our BB fix! I have only been to this location 3 times, my orders have been good, however each visit the customer service was lacking...which is why I deducted a star. All in all I do recommend Better Buzz over Starbucks for sure!

Parking here is ridiculous. There are signs everywhere indicating who can park here or there. This location does have dine in seating but it's very little. This location is good for drive thru. Service is friendly.

We stop by Better Buzz fairly regularly and it's always consistently good. The coffee and food is solid and everyone that works there is always pleasant. The store is clean and well managed. I don't leave reviews all that often, but today we were super impressed with the service and I just wanted to leave some positive feedback. We went through the drive through and were assisted by Juan Pablo. He was very friendly and helpful. My partner was looking for a new coffee to try and he gave him a great recommendation. (Blended coconut) Then he asked for a name for the order. My partner has a name that is uncommon in English, so usually people misspell it or don't understand what his name is. He always has to repeat it two or three times before inevitably having to shorten it to make it easier. But not in this instance. Juan Pablo understood it and we were pleased to see spelled it correctly when we pulled up to pick up our order. I know this might seem like a small thing, but it was just really nice to have someone understand. Thank you for taking the time to make our interaction just a little more pleasant!

I've gotten Better Buzz once before, but this was my first time actually sitting inside at this location! The place was a little small but a very nice ambience inside, good for studying or working if you can get a spot. The "Best Coffee Ever" was actually really good, I'm not usually a fan of super sweet coffee and I felt they did a good balance on mine, though I've heard from other people that this varies depending on who makes the drinks that day. The matcha was also decent, it definitely wouldn't be my first choice and I'd recommend the coffee over it (or picking out a specific tea/boba place that focuses on matcha). The team was fast and efficient with ordering and making our drinks, and I know their drive through option is also rather quick too. Overall I'd recommend coming here if you're in the mood for iced coffee!

I love better buzz and decided to try a new location on my way to the utc mall. The barista named Amy helped my wife and I in the drive thru and helped us pick out the pistachio croissant. I never tried something like that and she even recommended it "warmed up" and it came out flaky and warm. I was convinced that a hot vanilla bean with oat milk was what I was looking for as my drink and she was right! My wife ordered the turkey pesto with bacon and extra pesto aioli on the side and she said it was super good. Good job better buzz Miramar. Definitely will be back and recommend this place to family and friends!!

Popular, local, middle tier fast coffee; clever branding; quality is a notch above Starbucks and such, but not at the level of craft coffee places such as other locals: BirdRock, Lofty, Dark Horse etc. Music is always uncomfortably loud!

Right as I stepped foot into the coffee shop, I knew greatness was waiting for me. The aroma of coffee filled my insides with warmth and joy. Never in my years of being a coffee addict have I been this overjoyed by a simple aroma that stings you at their front door. 3 employees truly stood out to me: Noah, Amy, and Talisa. Truly wonderful workers, and the embodiment of Life being Better Buzzed. Amy made my drink, and boy when I tell you Amy needs to be making everyone's drink I mean it! Best iced matcha latte I've had in my LIFE. I am thrilled that such a simple drink made by an amazing worker could lighten my moody morning. Thank you Miramar Better Buzz, will be visiting again.

I placed an order for pick up and was supposed to be done by the time I got there. I ordered a large vanilla Caramel latter extra hot and 1/2 sweet and a large caramel latte with oat milk extra hot and 1/2 sweet . I waited inside for at least 20 minutes for the 2 drinks. They are extremely busy and I understand . Both drinks were really good . Worth the wait. I would definitely get the coffee here it's so much better than Starbucks

I like coming here only thing I wish the sitting areA would be more inviting and comfy. The coffee is strong with great flavor and taste hot like Starbucks which is watered down. The yogurt bowl I got the coconut yogurt with perfect amount for one person. It's not overly sweet with a touch of honey comb.

I've noticed a lot of cafes close crazy early, so my friends and I came to Better Buzz to study after trying two other spots. I ordered tea so I can't speak for the coffee but I am definitely not going to come back here to study. Better Buzz Coffee is a very well branded coffee chain, and this store has a shelving display dedicated to selling merch. The store is pretty small, and there are only about four tables. The main issues I had as I tried to study were the loud music and bad wifi. I could hear the music even over my headphones. I was trying to watch a video, and it paused every 5 minutes. It was really a inefficient situation. Their pastries looked quite good, but I was full from my earlier meal and didn't get one. I just got an iced tea and it was nothing to write home about, very bitter. I don't really make a big deal about service, but when I let the person at the register know they were out of toilet paper, I got a snappy reply. There are many better cafe drinks and study spots in San Diego, so this is a one and done for me.

A solid addition to the Miramar area! As with their other locations , this Better Buzz has a hip interior + exterior design with memorable branding: "life is better buzzed." It wasn't crowded on a weekday afternoon. My friend and I were both flatlining into a post lunch food coma so coffee sounded fantastic. I typically opt for a "best iced drink ever" but went for hazelnut today. It was as expected -- quite sweet. Perhaps that's on me for not asking, or maybe I should've gotten an unsweetened drink altogether. Pricing was okay ($5-$7/drink). Service was prompt. Seating area was clean and featured good music. Solid stop.

The manager Alex is incredibly kind and patient as she answered all my questions about the different kinds of coffee and Better Buzz in general. Chiron is always amazing and totally makes my mornings! Chiron is kind and genuinely good-hearted. He remembers me every time and makes me feel comfortable. Last week I was listening to an audiobook while waiting in the drive thru and started to cry a little. Chiron saw and showed genuine care for me and checked in to make sure I was ok. It really touched me! He showed absolutely no judgement and reminded me it was OK to cry. Thank you, Chiron.

Super nice inside. The staff is friendly. Meghan helped me find a drink I liked and had great customer service. Drinks are high quality some of the best coffee in San Diego!

The service and staff is amazing, I always make it a point to stop by before heading to UTC and im never disappointed. I recommend the iced lavender black tea latte w/ extra vanilla and oatmilk and although all their food is good, the acai bowls are my go to since theyre one of the only places left in sd that HAND-BLEND their bowls. The Miramar location always keeps me buzzed and stays consistent with their quality.

This location is super cute! Blue velvet seats are SUPER comfy. The vanilla latte was super flavorful & the açaí bowl was packed with fresh fruity flavor. Between a busy store and drive thru, the service was incredibly fast. Very fast paced place & service! Lots of parking in the lot which is a huge plus. I'm interested to try the other locations to a have a feel for the different stores

Let me just say.... I love Better Buzz! Just as much as Starbucks. But Better Buzz I feel is way better since more exclusive! & there's not many around so I don't drink it as often as Starbies. I've been to this particular location a few different times before going into work. & typically I'll order for my coworkers as well. I've never really been inside the store itself. Usually go thru the drive thru since I want to be in & out. The many times I've visited this location, the drive thru wait time is ridiculously longggggggg. I mean I understand they're backed up, there's many ppl ordering, it's early morning, they're tryna fill orders as fast as they're ringing them up. But each time I've ordered it's like 20mins+. Who has that amount of time to wait especially if you're making a quick pit stop before work. They usually tell me to pull into a parking spot to wait for my items. There's usually a FEW cars waiting in the stalls already. Be prepared to turn off your vehicle. Lol. The food & drinks itself is top tier. They just need to work on how quick they bring out the items. Love their vanilla frappes!

I didn't try their coffee but their coconut matcha is really good and the matcha was whisked well. They also have a drive through and plenty of parking!

Amazing everything and JP is wounderfull. I was extremely hungry and JP offered me the most delicious sandwich that I've ever had. I don't know if it's because it was starving or if it really was extremely delicious. But everything was fantabulous. Keep up the good work. This is the location I love to come to.

My friend and I got our morning fix: Coconut Latte with oat milk and almond croissants. The drive thru was quick and efficient, the drinks perfectly sweetened, and the croissants soft and flaky. I definitely recommend swinging by here to get your daily dose of caffeine! This particular location is rather small and only have a few stools outside. If you're looking for a coffee house where you can lounge around, this isn't the place for you. There's a much much larger Better Buzz in La Jolla. This place is good for grab and go, or drive thru. Same great quality, just a significantly smaller location!

Not sure who or what the girls name working on Thursday dec 21st on the night shift, but damn girl, smile and act like you enjoy your job a little. Say hello, say you're welcome when you finish a drink, smile. Looks like you hate your job and everyone around you. Ordered a small cause i don't want a ton of milk, They gave me a 20oz hot cup wtf. lol Didn't say hi when you walk in, didn't ask what I wanted to order. Finished my drink and literally said nothing. Hats off to the guy who took my order and was cleaning the place because at least you look like you care about your job. Anyways place sucks because of service like this. Go somewhere else. Threw it away tbh. Be better better buzz. More like be better grumpy girl.

The place is very expensive. I ordered an iced mocha and the bacon ciabatta breakfast sandwich, and it cost $15.68. I was offered two drink sizes, and chose the smaller one. The mocha was too sweet. I wasn't asked for a desired sweetness level, so it's their default. The sandwich was tasty, but for $8.49, it should have been bigger than it was. Weird experience with the staff. I used the drive through. A dyed blonde white girl took my order by the menu outside. When I got to the window, I grabbed my phone for Apple Pay. The girl there had a confused look on her face. She then said "oh, it said you were paying with cash." No one asked me how I was going to pay, so how did that come about? Did fake Goldilocks assume that because I'm black I could only pay with cash? Given the reaction of the employee at the pick up window, that's the only thing that makes sense.
