Located in the stunning Harbor View Hotel in Martha’s Vineyard, the atmosphere was breathtaking — with luxurious decor and a serene view of the water that set the perfect tone for the evening. I had mentioned in advance that it was my mother’s birthday — though she is now in heaven, I celebrate her every year. What the team at Bettini did for me moved me to tears. When I sat down, they handed me a personalized menu created in honor of my mom. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. They even told me I could take the menu home, which I will treasure forever. The food was absolutely amazing, every bite was perfect. To top it all off, they brought out a beautiful birthday dessert with a chocolate “Happy Birthday” plaque and a tall candle. It felt like they celebrated her with me. To say I had an amazing time would be an understatement. Bettini is not just a restaurant — it's a place that touches your heart. Thank you to the entire staff for making my evening so special.

We had an incredible experience at Bettini, made even more memorable by the outstanding service from bartenders Hunter and Taylor. We were celebrating my friend's new job in LA, so we wanted somewhere we could feel extra special celebrating. Sitting at the bar was the perfect choice — the atmosphere was welcoming, the conversation flowed easily, and the bartenders professionalism truly stood out. Hunter crafted what was hands down the best espresso martini we’ve ever had, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. Taylor made us one of the signature cocktails of Bettini as well and truly - another five star drink to start the night. The ambiance at Bettini strikes a perfect balance between elegant and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed yet elevated night out. The food was equally impressive. We started with the beef skewers, which were incredibly tender, and the shrimp empanadas, which were perfectly crisp and flavorful. The gnocchi with wild mushrooms and truffle was a standout — rich, decadent, and absolutely delicious. The chicken dish was spectacular, beautifully cooked and full of flavor. We ended on a sweet note with the chocolate torte, a lovely finish to an unforgettable meal. If you're visiting Edgartown, a meal at Bettini is a must and we highly recommend grabbing a seat at the bar — between the amazing service, exquisite food, and lively ambiance, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss. We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and the staff truly made it feel special. Everyone—from the hostess to our server—was warm, attentive, and welcoming. We were seated with a beautiful view of the harbor, which I really appreciated. The interior of the restaurant was also charming and inviting. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I started with the clam chowder, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had—so creamy and delicious. For dinner, my boyfriend had the pan-roasted half chicken and absolutely loved it. He’s a picky eater, so the fact that he called it his favorite meal on the island says a lot! I had the bolognese, and as a pasta lover, it hit all the right notes—just perfect. If you’re in Edgartown, I’d definitely recommend dining here. It’s absolutely worth the price!

Best avocado toast breakfast; I did have tomatoes placed on the side (glad I did) and had the eggs been freshly prepared (I could tell they had been prepared earlier); I would have given five stars! Service was excellent!

The restaurant ambience was nice - decor, lighting and fixtures. For food, we had the Endive Frisee Salad, Clam Chowder, the special for the night which was Corned Beef and Cabbage, Curry-Spiced Halibut, Roasted Chicken and a dessert. I found the salad to be my favorite; the Halibut was bland and could use more punch of the curry-spice; the Corned Beef plate was cold, we almost sent it back to reheat it; the chicken and soup were good. Overall, it was a nice dinner during an off-peak season.

While eating my way through Martha's Vineyard, I took a morning walk and came across the Harbor View Hotel, home of the well-known Bettini restaurant. Normally this place is booked solid when we visit the Vineyard, but around 8 AM we decided to take a chance -- and luck was on our side. We walked right in and grabbed a seat. I wasn't really hungry, but when you have a chance to eat where past presidents, foreign dignitaries, and celebrities dine, you don't pass that up. I went with the avocado toast, topped with toasted everything seasoning, heirloom tomatoes, shallots, and two eggs on multigrain toast. The verdict: it was very tasty. That everything seasoning hits different -- I need to find out where they get theirs. My only small critique is that I would have liked the bread slices just a little thinner, but that's more about me cutting back on carbs than them doing anything wrong. I'll definitely have to return during drinking hours to try their signature Shark's Attack cocktail. Rating: Solid breakfast spot. Worth the hype. I eat, I judge. The fork stops with me.

We had our first dinner of the season June 12th and had a very pleasant surprise! We dine there several times each summer for many years and the food was usually OK but nothing special. But the beautiful view and atmosphere always made it worthy of repeat visits. But last evening the food was the center piece of the enjoyment ! Entrees of chicken, rack of lamb and cod were superb! Oysters and beef carpaccio for starters were also A+ I don't know if they have a new chef but someone in the kitchen is a master! Service and views were their usual perfection! Oh, a word about the outfits the hostesses were wearing. Busy takes on a new meaning. When it was mentioned to the two lovely ladies, their smile said it all! We will be back soon! Can't wait!

We tried this place for our anniversary dinner and it didn't disappoint. The staff were very professional and friendly, and we felt very cared for and appreciated. We skipped apps and ordered scallops (which were cooked PERFECTLY!) and the prime rib. Everything was delicious and amazingly cooked, and the duck fat potatoes we got as a side were a game changer. Everything came out at the same time and hot (which can be a miss in the US in my opinion). The price is a little steep but we were happy to pay it based on the perfect meal we had, and the amazing location. We will be back when we are on the vineyard next!

One of our favorite spots on Martha's Vineyard - an amazing restaurant with a superb historic interior, great staff and delicious food. I appreciate that they always have at least one vegan entree that changes every year and the chef can easily customize any of the dishes to your liking. The place is ALWAYS packed in the evening so make sure you have reservations.

Great location with a great view depending on where you sit. Nice vibe overall. Friendly service but inconsistent. Seemed overwhelmed and unable to deliver on simple requests, like a side of aioli. Food was ok. Not of the quality and taste, though, that the price would imply. Will try again to confirm thoughts and update based on round two, but wouldn't recommend based on first visit.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel and had a wonderful dining experience at Bettini. Dinner was fantastic from start to finish. I enjoyed a couple of great cocktails and the Curry Spice Seared Alaskan Halibut was outstanding. The flavors were balanced, the fish was perfectly cooked, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was attentive and friendly without feeling rushed, which made the evening feel really special. We also had breakfast here the next morning and it was just as enjoyable. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and the atmosphere in the morning was relaxing with a nice view to start the day. Bettini made our stay feel even more memorable and we would absolutely come back. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite places to grab cocktails on the Vineyard! The flavors are all perfectly balanced and the cocktails are delicious. Sitting at the bar walk in is usually pretty easy and the view is unbeatable. The bartenders are also so kind.

For our first time at Martha's Vineyard there were many dining options, but for an anniversary dinner I wanted something special. Called the concierge at American Express platinum to get their advice since they never steer me wrong.... They recommended Bettini's and were spot on... Located inside a hotel it has a fair view of the ocean but is away from the tourist traps which makes it work. Sunsets are worth the wait. Our server from Jamaica was amazing. Spot on recommendations ... The local oysters on the half shell were worth it & the crab cakes were lightly breaded so the flavor wasn't lost and the seasoning was a solid compliment that gave them a unique flavor. Even though we come to New England for fresh seafood, trusted the recommendation of the ribeye and it was mouth watering. Excellent service who pay attention to details and teh manager makes a point to visit every table. Great date night and highly recommended.

Such a thoughtful staff, able to cater to the needs of a 3 year old through a 75 year old in a high-end but very warm environment. The food is delicious and the service is even better!

Came here for dinner on a Monday night with friends while on vacation in Martha's Vineyard. The restaurant has a great vibe and was popping off and bustling. We were seated immediately upon arrival and service was friendly and prompt throughout dinner. I ordered the baby lettuce salad to start and had the roasted chicken for dinner. My husband started with the endive salad and had the bolognese as his main. I was also able to taste the gnocchi. I found the endive salad to be more flavorful than the baby lettuces and thought the pastas were just ok, but I really enjoyed my chicken dish.

We chose Bettini for our 20th anniversary dinner, expecting a memorable experience--but unfortunately, it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. It took over two hours to receive our meals, and only after we raised the issue did anyone acknowledge the delay. To make matters worse, an obnoxiously loud group at the table next to us--who arrived after we did--was served well before us. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and bland. My bolognese lacked flavor, and after asking for it to be reheated, it came back with a warmer plate but still cold food--clearly just microwaved or briefly warmed, not properly fixed. The staff seemed stressed and inattentive, rarely checking on tables and always rushing. For a restaurant that presents itself as a high-end experience, both the food and the service fell flat. A disappointing way to start what should have been a joyful trip.

Came here for our anniversary a few weeks ago. Ambiance: 4/5 Restaurant is nestled near the lobby of the hotel near Edgartown Lighthouse. Classic ambiance, not too formal. Has some wine cellar vibes. Service: 3/5 unfortunately despite all my detective work to find a great spot, the service was so disappointing. Our waiter didn't know the menu, didn't know when items had run out, and the complimentary bread took about an hour to come out with the drinks. The tables next to us had similar experiences and everyone was itching to leave. Food: 4/5 this probably is what makes this place more of a 4/5 than a 3/5. My husband and I enjoyed the side of Mac and cheese, Pappardelle, and tuna steak. Really good. Especially the Mac, who would've known. Probably wouldn't come back due to service.

Four stars because I didn't like the server, but the food was superb! Very expensive though! Scallops: 4.5/5 I loved the scallops and especially the orzo risotto it came with. -.5 because they reduced the scallops to three and the serving size is puny. Foie Gras: 3/5 Good, but nothing special. I liked the cornmeal pancakes it came with but the combo with the Foie Gras was not good. Lobster grits: 4/5 Small quantity of grits, not cheesy enough, kind of bland. The bbq sauce is what did it and the lobster chunks were great! Pork chop: 3/5 Underwhelming and big super flavorful. The house rib-eye: 5/5 Juicy and massive! Great flavor!!

We were there a few weeks ago. If it wasn't for their desserts, this would be a one star. Our experience was not very good starting from the host that seats you. We felt we weren't welcome there and all effort was made to discourage us to seat. We ordered filet mignon, pasta and vegetable dish. Steak was 5/10. Pasta was 0/10. Vegetable was 0/10 Pasta was undercooked. Vegetable dish was literally air fired cauliflower. Desserts were 12/10. Absolutely wonderful. Location is rather nice but the prices are high but then you are at Martha's Vineyard. Overall, never coming back unless we just want desserts.

We had an absolutely spectacular evening at Bettini. We were staying in the hotel for a quick MV getaway to celebrate my birthday. Last year I had an ok birthday dinner, the year before was the start of the COVID pandemic so going to target was our dangerous excursion and highlight of that birthday, and two years ago we were in Israel during passover and everywhere was either closed or busting at the seams with a 2 hour wait. I was way overdue for a nice birthday dinner and stakes were high. I rolled the dice and decided to dine at our hotel's restaurant. I figured, it's the off season and wasn't overly concerned about making a reservation for a Thursday evening. Waiting until the day of was a mistake as there were no reservations to be had. We were told to inquire about high top bar seating. Fortunately there was a high top table available at the time of our arrival! Birthday luck, I guess. The service was excellent, our waiter was attentive and friendly. I can't find the drink menu online and the fact that I can't remember specifics about the drink menu testifies to their quality. At the suggestion of our waiter, we both started with the bettini which was a cross between a mimosa and a martini if memory serves. It was not too boozy and just sweet enough to make for an enjoyable but strong cocktail. I moved on to a cocktail called "Spa Water" or something to that effect with gin which was also a solid drink. To start, GF ordered the clams casino which my vegetarian ass is not familiar with but I am told it's a well known and slutty dish. It was adored. I started with the belgian endive salad with ricotta salata, toasted pistachios, herbs, and truffle vinaigrette. It was light and an excellent palate cleanser for the rest of the meal. They clearly indicate the vegetarian options on the menu, which was appreciated. For my main, I went with the pecan pesto gemelli which was absolutely delicious. The gemelli were al dente with a nice bite and the pesto had just a hint of cream and was very tasty. I also threw in a side order of broccolini which was nicely topped with parm. GF ordered the pepper seared yellowfin tuna steak with roasted sweet and sour peppers and crispy cauliflower. This did not last long on the plate which I think speaks for itself. In response to a friendly joke about us being old enough to drink, GF mentioned that it was my birthday on that very day. After our meal, I was surprised with a gigantic cannoli adorned with a birthday candle. This was such a nice touch that I appreciated tremendously. The space is also decorated beautifully which is a minor point compared to the service and the quality of the dishes. This was an incredible birthday dinner and we definitely made the right choice to dine at Bettini. I can't recommend this place enough, especially for a special occasion.

This restaurant is located inside the Harbor View Hotel, since we're staying here we decided to try it. Our server Ty was such a pleasure, very professional ,courteous and efficient. Now on to the food ,pan roasted organic half chicken with a cheese potato purée,forest mushrooms and chicken jus. Delicious. Wifey had the New England Crab cake and purée potato. This is a can't miss restaurant. Do yourself a favor and get over toBettini... just finished breakfast on our last morning on Martha's Vineyard, our server Seal(not the singer) was a friendly and very informative about the hotel and Martha's Vineyard , this restaurant has the best servers I have ever encountered. I had the eggs Benedict and my wife had the buttermilk pancakes, the food was fantastic and the breakfast vibe was amazing. I can't wait to come back to this unique hotel and their restaurant.

When I made a reservation here during our vacation, my husband was reluctant to try it because he hadn't heard about it from other people. Looking at the pictures of the atmosphere, the menu, and the reviews, I had a good feeling about it. They exceeded our expectations. It was our two-year-old's birthday, which they knew. Upon arriving for our reservation, they greeted her with excitement and a little stuffed whale as a gift. The entire staff was gracious and welcoming, even with such a young child entering their upscale establishment, and that warmed our hearts. We had a seat by the window with a gorgeous view of the Edgartown harbor. The service was excellent throughout our experience, the food was delicious, and the chocolate lava cake was to die for. They even put a candle in the dessert for our daughter to blow out, and she couldn't have been more excited. We will definitely be coming back here and recommending the restaurant to others who visit Martha's Vineyard. Thank you to Carmen, who took care of us! We loved you. :)

Bettini is awesome! We had the crabcake and the fillet and both were fantastic. If you get a table near the window you get a incredible view of the water. The service here can't be beat. If you're in the area of downtown Edgartown don't miss the opportunity to eat at the Bettina's.

We really liked this restaurant. I loved that they have gluten free and vegan clearly marked on the menu. Our entire table ordered multiple plates of the octopus and everyone loved it. It was really fresh. The lamb rack was fantastic and everyone else really enjoyed their meals. The drinks were also pretty good. We celebrated a birthday, and everyone was great. The ambiance was great as well. Our server was a little slow at first, but it got better as the night went along. I would go back.

Beautiful ambiance, view of the Edgartown lighthouse and water, and great service, but bland entrees. We enjoyed our drinks (Derby cocktail and blueberry mule mocktail), and stuffed clams, but the swordfish and halibut entrees were so bland. Even the risotto that came with the swordfish were bland. It's not just lack of salt but general lack of flavor. I'm confused because the menu states that the food is tested rigorously before being added to menus.

We ate at the bar and the bartenders were great, it was a busy night but they kept their cool and worked the bar as a team. The food was terrific: the bolognese was light and perfect portion. We had a couple pre-meal drinks on the deck too, worth it, The entire hotel staff were great. It's expensive but worth the treat.

Exceptional food, fantastic service, reasonable prices for fine dining, and great views of the harbor during dinner. We really enjoyed our evening at the Teenies located in the Harbor View hotel. We started with cocktails, which were made perfectly. For food starters we had the clam chowder and the Foie Gras - both delicious! Our entrées were the pork pappardelle, local Fluke, and broccolini. The Fluke was very fresh and the Pappardelle was homemade. Both were delicious! We enjoyed these with a nice glass of Chianti. The dessert menu was limited and really did not interest us which was actually good because we really had no room for dessert anyway. We will definitely come back.

We've only come here for breakfast but it's decent and convenient. If you order food and want to sit in the patio, the servers cannot take the food out to you. If you decide to dine inside, the servers will take your order and bring the food to your table. The Barista Daniel was great. Food: Breakfast sandwich with bacon and on a brioche bread - Can't go wrong. Anything with butter and bacon is amazing. I had this everyday. I should have switched to sausage but couldn't go away from the bacon. The chocolate chip pancake - Kids liked it. Acai bowl - Not my favorite but only because I got it to go (and the acai bowl did not look great - it looked like mud in a container) AND it had to be mixed in with bananas. I hate bananas so I couldn't eat it. We sat outside and brought the food to our rooms one day so that was fine. We were in a hurry one time and decided to dine inside next to the door. The unfortunate thing was that our food was brought out to an empty table by another door and left there... I had to go get it myself bc it clearly was going to sit there for awhile. Overall, an easy place to grab breakfast. Town wasn't too far but starbucks wasn't opened on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Their LOBSTER RAVIOLI!!!!!!! AMAZING! Loved our date night after my husband ran the full marathon this past weekend. Beautiful decor, super friendly and attentive staff, and excellent food! I don't often get ravioli, but I couldn't help it when I saw it was with lobster. They outdid themselves. It was excellent. Our table on the window overlooking the view was perfect. Next time I visit the island, we'll stay here at their Harbor View Hotel

We had an excellent meal and experience on a busy Saturday night in mid October. From the moment we were greeted at the host station, through the end of the meal, we felt welcomed and appreciated. Our wait-person was highly attentive, noticing small details; for example, I asked her for some pepper for my carbonara, she brought a pepper grinder and added pepper, and also left a salt and pepper shaker in case I wanted more. We shared a seasonal burrata salad, served with stone fruit, heirloom tomato, honey lavender, arugula, and truffled baby peaches. It was delicious, and enough for two. For entrées, we had the Faroe Island salmon and lobster bucatini carbonara. Both were perfectly executed, and the portions were generous. We were too full for dessert. We also shared an outstanding bottle of Chardonnay from their wine list. We were staying in the center of Edgartown, Bettini was an easy 10-minute, half-mile walk from our hotel. The view would've been lovely, overlooking a lighthouse and the ocean, had it not been pitch dark outside. I would absolutely come again.

So love the space and venue - servers kind but didn't take drink orders before meal order until I asked, the salads were lacking flavor - I've never had such a small piece of salmon or a Caesar salad with not much dressing on it. The gnocchi entree was gross. Desert menu limited. so, overall the menu overpriced, main dishes small portions - overall a disappointment. I'd go back just for over priced drinks at bar, sadly hardly any appetizers- and what is there is $30 for a starter that's nuts. I live here so I know prices I just expect more

I can't even start, or end this review. Because my sox are still blown off so far away, I can't find them. 4 years ago the new owner took over this hotel and the restaurant and started making changes. The staff is AMAZINGLY down to earth yet impeccably poised and elegant with a hometown feel. Except for Rian who is also a stand up comedian with a heart of gold and a million buck smile. We came to Bettina for a wine dinner after experiencing a Michelin Star in Rioja, driving my husband to skepticism with no boundaries... And he was about to LITERALLY eat his words. A "mile long" (ok, I'm taking some poetic liberties here) table of hand-polished glassware lined a table, and the dining room was transformed into pure glitz. 10 courses, 10 pours. Wine tasting, right? EH! WRONG! 10 actual pours of wine magesically paired to what where 1/2 PORTIONS worth of deliciousness. Chef Alex Pineda came in from Marblehead with his Colombian flair and his almost fatherly love for service. With partnership from Bettina Head Chef, the duo and the blood giving kitchen staff banged out 10 AMAZING courses. In Chef's words "I don't strive for a star. I just want to cook REALLY GOOD FOOD with love. I leave it all on the plate". Yeah, he did that. Lobstah quenelle in its puff pastry shell with CAVIAR floating on a sea of lobster broth and butter. yes, he did that! Foia Gras, Pork belly, HAND MADE SOBA NOODLES from the Bettina crew in a stupid good duck broth and thin slices of duck... YEA I ate that. Tartare with caviar... and on and on. We were SO STUFFED by the end, we wondered if the kitchen was trying to assassinate us all by gluttony... Bernard, the owner gushed as he took in the glitz, the laughter, the oozz and ahhs of very VERY happy, full and satisfied visitors. NOT for the faint of wallet. A dinner will set you back $300+ pp. Yet worth EVERY sensory experience. Word of caution... DONT EAT FOR A WEEK before the bacchanal! Stupid good food, impressive wines, beautiful ambiance, attention to every detail (curse you Scott for being SO precise yes gentle handed!) and a staff that will pamper you like a newborn!

Overpriced, below average food. I, along with two of my friends, ordered the monkfish. It was barely edible - extremely dry and ridiculously salty. We were in shock that they we're charging what they were for such subpar food. It so unfortunate because it is such a beautiful restaurant located in a perfect spot. Perhaps it was just an off night for the kitchen, but I would not go back for anything more than drinks (on a positive note - Sam our bartender in the back room was great).

Went for a drink... stayed for dinner, was curious to see if they turned it around... What a game changer New chef? New menu? I can't believe this is the same place. Phenomenal meal and service. Bravo Bettini!!!

We returned for a second visit last Friday, after an extremely good romantic date-night experience last summer, but were bummed out and sadly will only be returning for drinks on the deck. Speaking of drinks on the deck, that was lovely. What a view! It's self-service, however there's an extremely kind and thoughtful diminutive older lady out there who tidies up and who very sweetly brought us a small table to set up our drinks. I believe her name was Minnie? The hostess, Yelena, was also a delight. The restaurant should treasure these awesome representatives. Once the meal began, it fell apart fast. Our server was extremely brusque. It felt like we had insulted him before we ever said a word, which was pretty intimidating, though neither of us are rude, or oversensitive. Despite ordering three apps, two entrees, and dessert we left hungry. The tuna tartare was the first slap in the face, appearing without the avocado mousse or any seasoning/ponzu on a dark plate, so that the dish appeared empty. It might as well have been, as it was so small I finished it in two bites. The clams casino were tiny, and cheesy / creamy, not really what one thinks of when ordering that dish, but edible and tasted nice. My wide ribbon pasta with braised beef was also insultingly tiny and completely flavorless. Truly sad, since I have been dreaming about the Bettini pasta all year. It was so good that when we got back to NYC, I tried to re-create it at home. Dessert was served on an ice cold plate, and was too cold to enjoy the chocolate mousse. Dishes were absolutely slammed down in front of us, loudly, by our grim-faced waiters, and questions got sneers and grunts in reply. For example, we asked if we should order everything at once or if we could get apps and then mains once we had a bit of wine and bread, the waiter said, not unless you want to be here all night. :( We also ordered a full bottle of very nice wine. No wine pairing suggestions, or tastes, were offered however. After dinner there was an epic thunderstorm, which we watched from the deck while sipping bubbly. Like I said, the deck is where it's at. I don't need to pay hundreds to be treated like someone's sworn enemy, sheesh. Recommended for a pre- or post-dinner deck session, or perhaps a drink at the bar, but not for dinner or dessert.

Came for dinner with work colleagues who were in town for an event. The inn itself is in prime location on the island. Probably some of the best views. We sat at the bar because it was much faster than waiting (7:30 pm on a Monday was packed)! The bad was comfortable for dinning, even for our group of six people. Place definitely has a vineyard/New England vide. We tried several appetizers and my favorite was easily the sashimi. I could eat that stuff as a last meal. Truffle fries were hits, and they brought out a thick piece of toast that was the best appetizer bread I've had in a while (we definitely ordered more). For dinner I had the ribeye, and it was phenomenal. Cooked medium rare, charred and buttery. The drinks were so so. I ordered a few old fashions and each came out slightly different. One I sent back. And I got the caramel cup for dessert, which I did not like. I found the churro on top to be dry. All and all a great meal and would highly recommend if you're in Edgartown.

Although our Clam Chowder was delicious that was as far as we got. The wait staff was EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. He was aware my wife is pregnant & the waiter would not ask the chef specific questions about the plates, or if change could be made. It was also our wedding anniversary which the restaurant knew. We had to leave as there were no options for my wife to eat other than a $70 well done steak, or any a la carte options offered. The management did apologize to us offering customizable options or to go, or a meal for me. We declined and ate Porto Pizza on the way home. I only give it 2 stars because I have very little doubts about the taste of the food. The Clam Chowder was the best I've ever had & other customer's dishes looked tremendous.

I went to Bettini about six times during the winter holidays. It was empty for the most part when I went in, except for on Christmas day it was pretty packed. For breakfast the pancakes were actually really good, and I am not regularly a pancake girl. The bacon, eggs, and sausage were very good as well, but the star of breakfast are the omelets. Adding seafood to them really just takes it to another level. For dinner we tried all of the pasta options which were all very good. The calamari was very good as well (we got two orders of them!) but the clam chowder was not great. We did not finish it. My absolute favorite thing I ate was the mussels. They were so fresh and really well seasoned. The bread that came with it made the dish. Next time I go, I will have to try the scallops. The best part about the restaurant is the staff. From the bartender to the hotel manager to the waiters, they all worked to cultivate a really great environment and contributed to a great experience at the restaurant. The only thing is the menu is not very vast but the dessert and appetizers are really good. I would give it 5 stars, but I cannot justify the prices of the items on the menu. So 4 stars it gets.

This is my second time eating at Bettini and once again they have out done themselves. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. The food and drinks hit the spot. This is my favorite place to have dinner on the vineyard! *not pictured, the tuna tartar but it was delicious!

Excellent food and service!! Drinks were great and our meals were delicious. Definitely come early and have cocktails on the porch. The view of is AMAZING!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Went for "brunch" with a party of 9. The service was incredibly slow! The prices are totally outrageous for what you get. Our reservation was for 10:30 am. At 11:30 am we were still waiting for our meals. They arrived, staggered, one by one. There was at least a 5 min gap between each plate. At one point all but one of us had a plate and by the time the final plate arrived everything was freezing cold. The whole waitstaff seemed confused just standing around with random plates of food not knowing where to go. The menu advertised "fresh squeezed" orange juice ($6) but we learned from our server that it was not, in fact, fresh. Two of us ordered the $30 grain bowl. It was TINY! 2 eggs, a scoop of red quinoa, edamame, some fried peppers and a few strips of avocado. There were some breakfast entrees ($27 each) that came with fruit and choice of muffin or pastry and juice. Our server had no idea 1) that these specific breakfast items included these choice and 2) when to bring these items out. Again, these were totally staggered. We were one of 3 total parties in the entire restaurant and couldn't understand why there was such a hold up. It wasn't busy by any means so there was really no reason for the delay. Finally we complained to the manager who apologized and ended up comping us for the entire breakfast but unfortunately after 2 1/2 hours of totally wasted time we will never return.

The food was no better than something you could make at home, it wasn't gross or anything but for the price absolutely not worth the money The endive salad was unimpressive, brown edges and just not very tasty or well executed, the pasta was overcooked for the bolognese and it tasted like something your college roommate made on a Wed night. A lot of black pepper. I ate it, but it was NOT worth $35. Sin liked the lamb, the carpaccio and octopus were meh.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with family here last evening. The ambiance is beautiful as is the setting right on the harbor overlooking the lighthouse. Well staffed with friendly informed servers. From start to finish we enjoyed our meal. We will definitely return.

Was very, very let down with this place. The food and our server were good, but unfortunately overshadowed by everything else. First, we were not sat until ~8:45 for an 8:15 reservation. While waiting to be sat, we had cocktails at the bar. I ordered an espresso martini, which listed Tito's as the standard vodka. Because I was at the bar, I watched the bartender start making the drink with Kettle One. I mentioned it to my partner who was with me, and the bartender overheard and asked if I preferred it with tito's. When I responded that it was listed on the menu, he asked another bartender who said it was definitely not listed. I had to pull out the menu and point to it before they would agree, and I really think they should have known the menu a little better. Really sad that the negatives outweigh the positives, but alas.

Not sure why this place doesn't have 4.5 stars as the food is AMAZING the pesto pasta and halibut were the best I've had and I live in NYC (as was their dessert) Service is also amazing (Bridget and Alyssa who served us were incredibly hospitable) I look forward to having breakfast from this place tomorrow and may get food to go for our travel home on Saturday as well

This would have been a 4 star rating had it not been for the abysmal service we received. Waited for our food for an hour due to some "issues in the kitchen" but three tables that arrived after us (including a table of 7) all got their food well before us. I should add...this was for breakfast. Two orders of scrambled eggs and an order of pancakes. At one point we were told our food would be out in 10 minutes but we waited another 20. I understand that everywhere on island is understaffed right now and facing challenges due to COVID, but this has nothing to do with either of those factors. Everyone else around us (including those that arrived later) were served promptly. To add insult to , the manager never came and spoke to the table. Apparently they felt comping our drinks (two diet cokes) on a $70 bill was an appropriate resolution to the matter. For an HOUR WAIT for breakfast while all the other tables around us got served and finished their meals???

We had an wonderful experience at the Bettini at the Harbor View. The food was amazing and service was great. We had our wedding dinner at this place and boy they did not disappoint. I want to thank our server Dave who took care of us. My family is still mentioning how they never been attended to in a restaurant how Dave did that night. Thank you Bettini and the Harbor View Hotel for making my Wedding dinner and stay absolutely amazing. -Cheers

I want to thank Bettini for the wonderful food, drinks, and service tonight. Everything was amazing. Our server Yoanna was great and ensured my meal was vegan. The food was spectacular! Endive salad, broccolini, and cauliflower steak for myself, mussels app and clam spaghetti for my date. The cocktails were delicious as well, East Island Martini, Vespers, and The Derby were all good. I'll definitely be back. FYI I rarely review anything but tonight was a pleasant surprise in that it went above and beyond my expectations. The view and ambiance were terrific as well. Oh, and I had a 7:30 reservation but we were hungry early after a day of exploring the beach so we came in at 5:30 and asked if they could accommodate us. They gave us high tops next to the bar that worked out perfectly for us. Easy to see the whole restaurant and outside views. Chef's kiss!

Visited the restaurant for breakfast. The service was outstanding and second to none. Our waiter, Mihai, was great. Professional, personable, and with a great sense of humor made our time here outstanding. We met the manager, Phil, and can see why his team is a good as they are. Thank you for a great experience.

horrible service hvh took our reservation for 11 people for an engagement party over a month before the date. 3 weeks out i called to add 1 additional person. no one ever called back to confirm. after weeks of leaving msgs i called the hotel front desk and alerted them that no one responds. they got someone to call me back. FRANCO the dining mgr would not help he said their max is 8 people therefore he was cancelling my reservation. this is 6 days before my daughters engagement dinner. how courteous and professional is that. beware they are not the gracious harbor view hotel of the past. they do not care and do not want to accept any responsibility for their error.

Mind boggling joyful 180 from the last time I dined here back during summer of 2019... . I am assuming a new chef and management :) Well! We took a chance and the service was absolutely excellent!!! Polished, classy, modern and genuine. Host stand accommodated our party of four at the last minute on a Saturday evening. We experienced outstanding friendly and professional dining experience with tremendously tasty food and drinks ... oh what a fabulous night! Way to redeem yourselves Bettini!

I understand that we visited this place at the end of the season but should not service be consistent if they want to uphold the reputation? I guess there was a confusion on who picks up unassigned tables? We did not get a water for 25 minutes to even start our dinner... I had to tell another waiter passing by to get someone. Meals, when they arrived were auctioned off as the staff did not know who ordered what... we did not change our seats Then they brought to us someone else's desserts and were confused when we said we did not order. My swordfish that was by the way 48$ was such a small portion that I was hungry leaving this place. The 2 shrimp that garnished the dish were tiny. In summary.. located in a very prestigious hotel, has decent ambiance but overpriced and not consistent! Try other places!!
