Chef Samir Mohammad Opens an Italian Restaurant in Aurora | Eater Denver

"Opened late last month in the former Cody’s Cafe and Bar, this cozy 40-seat spot—whose name means “hole in the wall”—offers a rustic Italian menu led by Chef Samir Mohammad and his fiancée, Rachel Firestone. Mohammad leans on produce from his home garden and local farmers markets, bakes all of the breads in-house, and makes most of the pastas, giving the kitchen a homemade, market-driven feel. Standout dishes include cioppino (steamed mussels in a pesto and white wine broth), spaghetti and meatballs, pan-fried ricotta gnudi with roasted cauliflower, oven-dried tomatoes and Parmesan broth, and shrimp scampi; desserts feature flourless chocolate cake and tiramisu. Mohammad brings experience from Denver spots such as The Village Cork, Lala’s, Pesce Fresco and Black Pearl and was most recently the opening chef at Artisan 206 in Breckenridge. The restaurant is open 4:30–9:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday." - Rebecca Treon

Google
Don't let the strip mall location fool you, this place is a small delight! Excellent service, atmosphere, drinks and, most importantly.. amazing FOOD. We went with the specials (short ribs and black cod) and we need to come back for the lasagna. We also had the Brussel sprouts (so tasty and crispy) and they also brought us fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic oil - classic and yummy. We ended up getting the highly recommended honey cake which was light and delicious - a great ending to a big meal.

Google
The service and food were stellar - thank you Schaffer for making our first experience at Bettola so good and memorable! The specials were fantastic (lasagna and sea bass) the bruschetta one of the best I've ever had, and the limecello drink so tasty it was dangerous. It's a hole in the wall bistro (as their signage says) but absolutely where you should come for Italian well done and an intimate dinner setting with great service. My husband and I can't wait to come back.

Google
Very unassuming location but the food is absolutely INCREDIBLE and the service was great too! We had the beef lasagna (special of the evening), the shrimp scampi and honey cake with chocolate gelato for dessert. The shrimp scampi is probably the best I’ve ever had and will be needing to order it again. The sauce was so flavorful!!!! And the honey cake was sooo soft and fluffy and light, the perfect way to end the meal! We will be back!!

Google
I had pretty low expectations for this hole in the wall Italian restaurant at a strip mall in Aurora… but I was completely blown away! The service was excellent and the food was INCREDIBLE! The dish with pasta and scallops had the most amazing sauce and the scallops were perfectly cooked. If it was socially acceptable I would have licked the bowl clean! The honey cake was delightful, definitely some honey flavor but not too sweet with a light texture. Will definitely be coming back! #supportsmallbusiness

Google
Went here for a company x-mas dinner party, after hearing about this place for a couple of years. It really is a hidden gem in an otherwise unflattering Aurora strip mall. I liked the atmosphere, small restaurant setting makes for good conversations. Very good wine selection and menu. I highly recommend stopping by.

Google
Oh my Cod! Yes, cod because the black cod is amazing when they have it! Soooo glad to have stumbled on Bettola and can't recommend it enough! All the food is fresh and made to order. Have been a few times now and they never disappoint. Schafer (Tres) is the best! Such a great server and wonderful to talk to. Good selection of wine and great cocktails. Don't leave without trying the homemade lemon limoncello (lemon and/ or lime). They have easily become my favorite restaurant in the Denver area.

Google
This place was phenomenal! True hidden gem! We made reservations for a birthday and when we arrived there was a little chalkboard note that said Happy Birthday on the table. It was such a lovely touch! Everything we ordered was wonderful. The wait was very knowledgeable and anticipated our needs well. Highly recommend trying it all and any specials they recommend. Drinks were also delightful. This is truly a high quality restaurant that you don’t want to miss!!

Amazing! I absolutely love the ambiance. The service was excellent 👌 and the meal was delicious! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I love, love, love,Iove Shafer (Sommelier, Chef and Owner)! He educated us about each dish and perfect wine pairing. Our group laughed and shared delicious food and warm ambiance. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!

Yelp
Had such a great experience and meal I forgot to take any pictures. The guest experience started with making the reservation. I was in town for a work meeting and saw the incredible reviews and really wanted to try this place. We had a party of 8 and they figured out how to accommodate us. For those of you who have been here know getting 8 people at one table can be a challenge because this place is tiny. But we had a great table right in the middle of the restaurant. The customer service was on point as soon as we walked in, asking all customers if they wanted ice in their water or not. They also did a great job managing our expectations for cooking times on meals for a larger party. I can't say enough about how great the food was. We started with Arancini (app special) for the table and they were perfectly crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside. Each of us got something different for a main course and it's the first time I've seen everyone eat their entire meal. I had the crispy eggplant but everyone's looked delicious. Every dish had fresh herbs, edible flowers or micro greens from the garden out front. Next time I'm in town definitely coming back to try other dishes. Other musts: the Italian soda and save room for the Honey Cake with sorbet. The perfect amount of lightness and sweetness after the amazing pasta dishes. As mentioned this place is tiny so I recommend making reservations. Looking forward to going again.

Yelp
Celebrating a late birthday dinner with friends and was greeted kindly by staff . Very personable and fun. Small space so I would recommend making a reservation in advance . We tried a little of everything . Started off with the goat cheese crostini and mussels which were fabulous but the star of the show was the lobster lasagna . I can't explain the experience but all I could say that it's an explosion of flavors that were executed perfectly in a dish ! The chicken Parmesan was delicious as well at the shrimp scampi and seafood diavolo ! Ended the night with chocolate cake and a raspberry gelato expresso . Bartender even made us expresso martini upon request. Give this place a try , it's delicious!

Yelp
A hidden gem, if you are looking for a warm and cozy Italian restaurant this is your place! Great for date night or an evening out with friends. The food was awesome, we started with a tasty bruschetta, warm olives with pickled red onions and goat cheese. We shared an authentic Caesar salad, they have a nice wine selection and mixed drinks. Dinner was on point with the special seafood pasta and bucatini with meatballs and a lemon ricotta. But wait... there's more! Dessert topped off an amazing meal, we had affogato, the gelato was delicious and you must get the honey cake! Care was put into the food, the staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring all patrons felt at home! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
I took some out of town guests here and they were impressed. The wait to get our food was longer than usual but we were told to anticipate that upfront. The food was on point and the service was great.
google avatar

Yelp
Bettola is a must try spot for your next date night. They have a gorgeous setup, with amazing service, and gluten free pasta options. I got the arrabiata pasta with gluten free and vegetarian modifications and when I tell you it was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had I mean it!! I could not get enough of the lemon ricotta on top! I will absolutely return to try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Went here after a wedding and we had a large group of people. The food was amazing and it does take time since they are making it from scratch but it's absolutely worth the wait. Great place to take a date and they have an amazing garden outside! Really enjoyed the full experience.

Yelp
Our absolute favorite restaurant in the whole metro area! The food is always incredible, and the service absolutely can't be beaten. As someone with a food allergy, I know I can relax when we're eating here--with every dish made from scratch, they know exactly what is in everything. And did I mention everything is always incredible?? Try their regularly changing specials or the best scallops in town for dinner and be sure not to skip dessert. 100/10 can't recommend highly enough.
google avatar

Yelp
I decided to come here knowing I could get good food, but I did not expect to have one of the best meals of my life. Everything could easily be the best version of that thing I have ever had. From caprese salad with homegrown tomatoes and basil, to the roasted root vegetable risotto with scallops, and finished with a honey cake made from scratch, I was left speechless countless times throughout the meal. And the cocktails are phenomenal as well. If you haven't been you need to visit soon. Everything, including the service, deserves an 11 of if 10!

Yelp
Johnson greeted us at the door and was our server throughout the evening! We were there with friends and checking in with us was perfect! Our glasses were always full, our needs were met but we never felt over interrupted! It is a quaint little restaurant with maybe 10-12 tables and it has a very nice bar. I had an aprel spritz and my husband had a bourbon. Our table shared the barrata platter which was excellent! The Caesar Salad was Devine! I had the Chicken Parmigiana and ate every bite and will be thinking about that one for a long time and get it again! My husband had the lobster lasagna and he loved it!! Our friends really enjoyed their meals as well and said they would be coming back again! They take great pride in their chef and the food they serve and the way they present it! For such a small unassuming restaurant it is a diamond!

Yelp
Lovely, small restaurant. Owners/staff were so friendly & helpful. All food is made fresh & was delicious! Recommend reservations- small space with limited seating.

Yelp
Bettola (hole in the wall) Bistro, may look unassuming, or just your neighborhood bistro/ Italian joint on the outside, but once you get the full experience, it is anything but. Everyone is so welcoming from the moment we arrived, and staff is so knowledgeable about not only their food, but wine and pairings as well. Impeccable service aside, the wine list is unique, the ingredients are all either locally grown (in the garden right outside!!) or locally sourced. We had the blacked cod with a creamy risotto and cherry gastrique which nicely balanced the richness of the risotto! The texture of the cod was perfectly crispy outside and tender. The seven layer honey cake for dessert could win an award! The ambiance is quaint and upscale all at once, and would would make the perfect date night as well as regular neighborhood gathering spot! Chef Sue knows what she's doing!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! The service was 1st rate, we were taken care of from the moment we walked through the door. The food was amazing, started with charred brussel sprouts in a balsamic reduction that was outstanding, the short rib was tender and delicious, served over a thin but sumptuous 4 cheese lasagna. The shrimp scampi was classically prepared, make sure you have some bread to sop up the sauce...you won't want to waste a drop!

Yelp
We recently celebrated a friend's birthday at Bettola Bistro and couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience! We made a last minute reservation for a party of 7 and were gracefully accommodated. Bettola Bistro is a charming, smaller restaurant, with great romantic lighting. The restaurant is such a hidden gem, with amazing drinks and a delicious menu. Everyone in our group was extremely impressed with everything they ordered. Any tweaks to food orders or drinks were dutifully noted and quickly adjusted by our servers. The food is delicious, freshly made to order, and expertly prepared. Don't skip dessert! The gelato, honey cake, panna cotta and limoncello were the exclamation marks at the end of our meal. Special shout out to the wait staff, especially Josh. He ensured we had a memorable night, he is very knowledgeable, attentive, and a great asset of Bettola Bistro. We all made plans to definitely be back and set eyes on the next item we will try on their menu. Plus half off of wine bottles on Wednesday!

Yelp
WOW this place was amazing! We came in for a big family dinner and we feel like they just curated the whole evening for us. The somm Schaffer who recommended our wine was spot on, the bartender/ server Johnson was such a joy... but then the FOOD!!!!!! Wow. I can't even. everything was such a lovely experience. I recommend the scallops and whatever they have had slow roasting back there.

LeeVon P.

Yelp
Took my significant here and I would give them 10 stars if I could. From Brussel sprouts to the muscle apps, to the lobster lasagna and shrimp scampi we had everything hit its mark ! The chef's definitely are getting BUSY in that kitchen! Would highly recommend for an intimate date night with great food and wine!

Yelp
When we first stepped inside I was expecting exactly the name Bettola in Italian suggests "shady, trashy joint or hole" because of the location. However, walking in we were greeted by the bar manager and immediately felt how cozy and warm the place was with very few seating options which lured us to the bar as reservations filled the rest of the tables. I am so happy we did stay. You will not get a better experience if you don't pick the barkeeps brain a little. Johnson is very experienced in his field and has incredible knowledge about so much in the industry. Just listen a while. Drinks that were recommended given our taste were hand crafted to perfection and never had I had such refreshing and delicate drinks that paired exceptionally with our meals. To start I ordered a Red 75 and with dessert a Lime Cello. The freshest bread at the perfect temperature was set in front of us alongside oil with balsamic vinegar. That alone felt like a delicacy. I requested the short rib lasagna special and the nostalgia in me was so happy I did. It truly felt like the moment the critic from ratatouille bit into the ratatouille and I was flooded with warm memories of my grandmother's lasagna growing up. Chef is truly exceptional and has won me over the most upscale experience. Every single dish is hand crafted on order not scooped from a pan sitting under warmers. Dessert was an 8 layer honey cake that I have yet to stop thinking about, so much that they did say an entire cake can be prepared for sale if given a 3 day notice. Imagine cheesecake and honey teddy grahams it the most decadent way. I will be ordering a cake and I will be going back to just have that experience of a 'welcome back' conversation in a low lit, quaint, little hole-in-the-wall that makes me feel like I can lose track of time and escape away from the mundane the weeks carry.

Yelp
An Italian Hole in the wall bistro. It says it right on their window. Opened in 2018. A precious hidden gem. A cozy spot to try when in Aurora. We tried almost the entire menu and I loved it!! It was such a nice delicious treat. A great surprise! Each meal was carefully prepared and served. Great night overall! We had the following: Charcuterie Platters, Brussels Sprouts, Tuna Crudo, Lamb Ragu, House Black Garlic Risotto, Seafood Diavola, Veal Osso Buco, 12 Layer Honey Cake Panna Cotta and Organic Passion Fruit Cheese Cake and fresh Blueberries.

Rich H.

Yelp
What an experience! Five stars is not enough. We had a party of seven. The food was excellent with every dish made to order. Everyone made us feel right at home. Johnson, Schafer and Josh waited on us. Each was stellar, explaining the ingredients and background of each menu item, specialty drink, and dessert. If you want to feel like you got way more than you paid for, I highly recommend Bettola Bistro.

Yelp
A very nice meal. This hole-in-the wall restaurant in a strip mall on Iliff Ave in Aurora was recommended by a co-worker. It is quite small with only 2 tables, 7 booths and 6 bar seats. There is an outside patio. I made a reservation thru their website at 730pm on a Saturday night. I couldn't get an earlier time. When I arrived I was greeted by both servers. I sat at small 2 person booth with view of the bar. My server, Benjamin promptly me a tall glass of water, asking if I wanted ice. Nice touch. No paper menus, just QR codes. The website food menu is current. Benjamin explained the menu can change daily which is a good sign that the chef favors fresh food over having items that stop selling or costs get too high. I started with a Aperol Negroni substituting Campari. Benjamin also gave me a choice of gins, another nice touch. I chose Hendricks. He said their female chef prefers you place your entire order upfront so she can pace out the food. I got a complimentary basket of bread and a plate of EVOO with balsamic vinegar, a bit old school. My appetizer was the goat cheese crostini. I got the grilled vegetables salad. My main dish was the corn crusted halibut on a bed of saffron risotto for only $40. Very good. I paired it with a glass of Champs du Provence rose. For dessert, I got real Palisade Peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I added a small pour of Tormeon sipping vermouth from Spain. Benjamin said they turned away several parties earlier that evening. I will be back sometime in October.

Yelp
Such a wonderful restaurant. The freshest fish and vegetables Sue the owner chef prepares the most amazing meals and the staff is always totally friendly and helpful

Yelp
AMAZING bistro in the middle of 'bistroless' area. This is a refreshing to the palate. Chef is super talented and besides the little muscle left in the PERFECTLY cooke scallop, everything else was terrific! Including the service and wine selection. If you have a chance, pass by and support your local!

Yelp
Son in law found this place on line and said it's near us and we should try Great reviews ! Wowowowow what a meal we had. Best in a LONG time! the wine was delicious and outstanding food. Telling everyone about this hidden gem.

Yelp
Bettola bistro was absolutely amazing. I went with a group of friends and did family style and ordered a ton of dishes. My favorite dishes were the short ribs, lamb ragu, scallop risotto, chicken picatta, brussels sprouts, and burrata. For dessert we split the chocolate cake, honey cake, and guava cheesecake all were amazing! Highly recommend this place.

Ray B.

Yelp
Fantastic hidden gem of a restaurant. It is the "anti Frasca " of Colorado. The service was exemplary. I had a lamb osso buco which was delightful. The limited wine selection is thoughtful and adequate. Desert was exquisite. Thanks to Sue Smith!

Yelp
This place is awesome! It's a smaller spot so regardless of your party size, I'd recommend making a reservation! I was able to grab a seat without one but it filled up quickly after I arrived. It's hard for me to even describe the food, other than just saying it was amazing!

Masha B.

Yelp
Authentic Italian food! The honey cake was delicious! Nice atmosphere for romantic date or group of friends.

Yelp
Stopped by without a reservation for an early dinner on a Saturday. It's a small restaurant so we were lucky to be seated. My wife and I ordered the specials. She had the lamb ragout over pasta, and I had the black cod over a pumpkin risotto. I also had the sommelier select the wines that would pair best with the specials, and he did. We started with the warmed olives, that were quite tasty. My wife enjoyed the ragout and found it tasty. My entree, the black cod and risotto, was perfectly cooked and delicious. The risotto was to my liking as it was too al dente. The wines were delicious albeit a bit pricey.

Yelp
To give this experience a 5 star rating seems criminal. I think that Bettola has just completely broken the scale and blown it out of the water in every conceivable way. Bettola is a 10/5 restaurant. From the get-go, we walked in without a reservation on a Saturday night (whoops), but Johnson, our bartender/waiter/mixologist/historian/conversationalist graciously offered for us to sit at the bar. Sitting at the bar would kickstart the best dining experience I've ever had. I love food and I love trying new places, and Bellatola checks EVERY box and then some. From start to finish, the experience was phenomenal and there isn't a single thing that I have the slightest complaint about. I ordered the arrabiata and my girlfriend ordered the rib tip lasagna. Both dishes were absolutely bang on. Perfect flavors, unique combinations, and just so ridiculously freaking good. I wanted to cry when my plate was cleaned. The entire time we were there, Johnson juggled a million tasks while being the most engaging staff member I've ever met at a restaurant. That man is a gem and just emanates positive energy. He's a super intelligent and well-versed guy, and the conversation with him was great. And then, the cherry on top of our experience. Two wonderful words uttered by Johnson. "Honey cake". It was so delicious that I'm planning on driving back up for the sole purpose of picking up a cake. Paired with their house made limoncello and limecello, this was the perfect end to what was already a fantastic dinner. On the hour drive home, my girlfriend and I couldn't stop talking about what an experience it was. We were both just completely blown away. We've mentioned the honey cake to each other no less than 10 times today. I can't say enough positive things about Bettola. This place has cemented itself as the best experience I've ever had at a restaurant thanks to the phenomenal staff, incredible food, perfect ambiance, and an experience that is guaranteed to blow your mind in more ways than you think. I'll be coming back as often as I can.

Mary Lea F.

Yelp
This place is so awesome it's hard to pick a place to start - Service is a 10/10. Someone greets you immediately and seats you. They know everything single thing about each dish that is served and we always let them suggest the wine pairings. Schaeffer was our waiter and we were delighted. We've had him before and he is attentive and kind. Food was also a 10/10. We ordered the three specials for the evening- Clam bisque, lobster lasagna and 48 hour braised short ribs. They were divine. We seem to lean toward the lemoncello or limecello that Schaeffer makes for dessert. It is awesome. If you haven't eaten here you are missing out. There is something different on the menu every time so each dining experience is different and delightful. And you leave feeling like your presence made a difference for the staff. They care about everything they do.

Yelp
It was okay. I wouldn't go back for anything specific. Once you walk in you're basically standing in the restaurant, not a good place to stand out of the way or to wait for our table to be ready even though we had reservations and had to wait for our table to be set. They didn't have Aperol spritz, which I found odd since they had photos of them on their page & being an Italian restaurant. The order of our stuff came out at odd times too. Two drinks came out but my friends americano didn't. Then our appetizer came out and when I asked about my friends drink the waiter said that he is only one person and that he could only do one thing at a time. I think that if that is the case- you make everyone's drinks first. Not make two drinks, then an appetizer, then another drink... pouring two shots over hot water doesn't take a lot of prep. When he did bring it over he said that they weren't good shots and asked if it was okay? Odd. They also didn't have decaf which is odd cause not everyone wants caffeine that late at night. Meals- were fine. Once again two of them came out and then we sat for a while until another came out.... Then waited... and then the last one did. Just odd, not terrible. Food was sitting and getting colder. $300+ meal and nothing seemed to be photo worthy. So I don't have photos of anything to share.

Yelp
Was looking for something different to try in area and heard great things from this place. We went right at 4:30p and no one was in yet. We started with the Grilled peach Caprese and wow was this amazing the grilled peach with Mozarella, balsamic just all worked great. I got the scallop special which I did not love it was a little thin sauce for me and the scallops didn't have that nice crisp sear that I love. The scallops and sauce may have been better on risotto vs linguine. My guest got the mussels which were really small and a Caesar which after ordered they realized they had not made any Caesar so they subbed with a miso vinaigrette which wasn't as great. I have seen some of the specials and I really would love to try the steak or pork chop special they both look amazing. Maybe another time.

Yelp
Very unassuming place, and in a part of town known for fast food, burritos and other quick and cheap eats . . . worth putting on your list as it is relatively easy to get into and the food is not only excellent but way beyond what you would expect when you park your car and wonder if you should get a Tatoo from their neighbor after dinner.

Lisa F.

Yelp
We had been on an out to dinner hiatus because we were underwhelmed by MEH meals and service but we started up again a few of months ago. We had been to this restaurant a long time ago and decided to give it a try. We ordered specials, a lobster lasagna (sambuca bechamel) and a black cod with black cherries and saffron risotto. Both dishes were unique in their flavors, flawlessly prepared and absolutely delicious. We were very pleased with the service as well. Please don't let the unassuming store front and the suburban location dissuade you from giving Bettola a try. Frankly it was FAR BETTER than Osteria Alberico which seems to get a lot of raves but frankly, is just not all that.

Yelp
First time getting into this tiny cafe. From the outside and parking lot you may never dream of a great meal here. However please call for a reservation ahead of your weeks dinner plan! We did not get in before for this reason NO walk-in spots!?!?! Food was excellent and wine list was interesting and not typical fare. The main sommelier asked about favorite profiles and suggest a great white to have with the clam dish I had from the special of the day. M husband had huge beautiful diver scallops cooked to perfection. My pasta with bottleneck clams in a creamy garlicky sauce also very very yummy.

Eric H.

Yelp
Truly a hidden Gem. The food, the service, the experience all 5 stars. This restaurant is the best Italian in Denver. Brought my family here for a night to meet my girlfriend's family and it went so well. Johnson and Josh our servers/bartenders were so knowledgeable and the food was amazing. Also the wine hand picked out by their in house Sommelier named Shafer was a perfect match for the meal. Every single item has a backstory of culture and taste profile. I'm going back next time I'm in Denver most likely more than once if I can get a table. Love this place!

Max

Yelp
Unreal fantastic "hole in the wall" with massive charm. Super fresh food (they grow herbs outside). Amazing wine. The staff is top notch and really make your visit memorable- Johnson the waiter and the sommelier were amazing. Give it a try- it's some of the best food and a great intimate experience!

Yelp
I absolutely enjoyed this establishment th This place is amazing I certainly would not miss this.

Yelp
intimate setting with a fantastic staff to make sure you're served perfectly and want nothing. Love this restaurant. Delicious food every time I'm there. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Yelp
The best meal we have had in a long time. Service, food, drinks, atmosphere...everything was awesome. Don't let the shopping center fool you, this is an incredible gem.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant because we had a gift card and thought it okay but not unusually good. Situated in an Aurora strip mall, the ambiance is better than that but the room is small and crowded. A large table nearby was noisy enough to make conversation difficult. The food was good except for a wilted Caesar salad. Service was hit and miss. The waiter greeted us promptly when we came in, from that point on, was inattentive. It's nice to see a restaurant like this in what amounts to a fast-food desert.

Chad M.

Yelp
OMG, my family of 5 went to this restaurant 412/25. The service was exceptional, food was fantastic and would come back weekly!! If you haven't tried it, put it on your "bucket list"!!!

Yelp
Wow, this is a legitimately "must visit" restaurant. The staff clearly care about their small business. The service is attentive, the food is fresh, delicious and the four of us left very happy. The brussel sprout appetizer was amazing, the salads were very good and the entrees were all simply perfect. The 15 layer honey cakes were homemade and were a perfect end to a perfect dining experience. It is small, so make sure to make reservations on their site. We look forward to the next visit.

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. Our server was amazing and told us all about the food and herbs (some of which are grown right outside the restaurant). It is tiny, so make a reservation. Cozy and friendly. Best chicken parm I have had in my life. It does not look that great from outside, but do not be fooled. Yum and relaxing.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing culinary adventures! Highly recommend. We live out of state and ended up here for my husband's birthday. If we hadn't read the reviews, we would have immediately left. It's in a rundown strip mall. But dang, the food and service absolutely blew us away. From the moment we entered the restaurant, they were warm and inviting. The food and drinks were truly beyond anything I've had before. And we are not a family who ends a meal with dessert, but we couldn't stop ourselves. You will not regretting giving this hidden gem a try!

Yelp
This local hole in the wall is AMAZING! We just moved to Aurora from San Francisco and actually just got back from our honeymoon in Italy. We were SO THRILLED to find that this gem is just 6 min away from our house. The flavors were fantastic and service was on point. We ordered the brussel sprouts which were crispy and delicious. The cesar salad was fresh with good, authentic homemade cesar dressing. My husband got the Seafood Diavolo, which was in a lobster brodo which was deeply flavorful and satisfying. I got the scallops which were cooked perfectly, seared on the outside and soft on the inside and we had bread pudding for dessert. The bread pudding was very custardy and had a blueberry red wine reduction. This is our new favorite date spot and we'll def be back! Side note: Also can't wait to try Cody's which is their sister restaurant that is basically next door!!

Yelp
I found this little gem on Google maps searching for a central location to grab dinner with friends, and I'm so grateful I did. The service is top notch--friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and patient. We felt immediately welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. The food is fresh and unique. We all had the goat cheese crostinis and salmon & risotto special. Followed by the peach cobbler & passion fruit cheesecake. Not a crumb leftover. A huge thank you for bringing everything that restaurants have started to lose sight of: customer service, atmosphere, and crave-worthy food. I'll be back with everyone I know :)

Yelp
Am now making Bettola Bistro a fav regular. Had black cod w/risotto and a reduction berry sauce which frankly was the best I've ever had. Finished the entire dish. A friend also ordered the same fish with the same feedback. The staff are knowledgeable and personable. It is not a place for a quick in/out meal. It's an experience with atmosphere, food and staff expertise that leaves one leaving with a sense of well cared for connection and amazingly satisfaction. Absolutely recommend...
