Nice decor! Cool 😎 place. The pizza was great 👍 I would definitely return to try a different pie. Hopefully the service will be better. The pizza is worth a try! Definitely recommend!

Stop #10 on RI FOOD FIGHTS 11th Annual Lord of the Pies!!! With Carol Stuart…we ordered a Fin N’ A and a Mama Mia…they have WON #BestPizzaRI on RI Food Fights for the last 3 years! Pizzas are AMAZING, I’m coming back to try more of the menu, it ALL looks delicious!!!

Google
Tried it thanks to RI Food Fights & loved it. It was our favorite place yet. The eggplant rollatini was delicious & the mozzarella circles were good with a nice crisp to them. The pizza we enjoyed most was the Fig-N-A

Google
What a cute spot!! The tempura broccoli app was the star of the restaurant. Pizza was good. Mixed drinks - order off the menu only. Beer - ya only getting 12oz pours. It was a fun get together spot. The place mats were a solid chuckle. Will try again.

Great place! The atmosphere is unique. The food was fantastic. The service was great. Oh, the expresso martini was AMAZING! Small parking lot out back. Will be back!

Always delicious ❤️ staff is excellent! Try the whiskey business cocktail and cherry & pecan salad for starters! Pizzas are outstanding. Shout out to Taylor for excellent service.

Google
Bad customer service, but great food. Our server had a pretty nasty attitude towards us that made me wonder if I want to go back. 2 minutes after sitting down, she came over and grabbed our menus from the table without even offering a drink or anything else. Then, I heard her talking about us to a different group of people. It is a small place, of course I’m going to hear you. I could come back just for the food, but my expectations of good service are low.

As a kid who grew up on New Haven Pizza and has been completely disappointed with the RI pizza scene, Bettola stands alone as the only pizza place in RI worth the trip. We come weekly.. the staff is the best (shout out Katie.. she's amazing)... And the pizza is worth the trip! It's also hard to decide what cocktail to buy because they're all so good! The must try place in the state!

Yelp
If you haven't been here, you really are missing out! Of all of the Italian establishments in Rhode Island, this has been the best place we've been to, and there are A LOT!! Walking in, you feel like you're entering a friend's dining room. Intimate yet roomy with a most beautiful mural on the wall among other beautiful decor. The chairs and booths offered a comfy and cozy experience as well. MAKE SURE you check out the pizza oven! The staff is small but extremely efficient and very friendly, thank you Evie and Q, you made our stay very enjoyable!! Our drinks that we chose were a glass of Pinot Grigio and a local brew made in Wakefield, Rise APA. I had the wine but tasted the beer, mmmm it was very tasty! I'll be picking some of that up in the future! Maybe even go to the brewery to visit! Now to the food....very carefully prepared and seasoned. Starting with a loaf of hot loaf of bread with garlic butter and crushed red peppers sprinkled on top, it was delicious. As an appetizer we ordered the HONEY-WHISKEY BUFFALO jumbo wings. They were topped with Sesame seeds, shaved celery, and had a creamy herb-gorgonzola on the side, these were the best wings we've had in a very long time! Great job! I like to order entrées that I normally don't cook at home and ordered the braised short rib dinner. Cooked to perfection, it sat upon a mound of perfect cheese risotto and sautéed broccoli rabe, all finished with such a tasty cherry Demi glacé. My husband, who's very picky about his Italian food, ordered the ABE FROMAN. Fresh shell pasta, crumbled Italian sausage, broccoli rabe, cannellini beans, garlic, light tomato sauce, topped with shaved parmesan. He was VERY impressed and happy with his choice!! After all this we just couldn't resist dessert, but took it to go. A slice of chocolate cake and carrot cake, both of which I shamefully didn't get pictures of, were very good. I did however get pictures of the dessert case!! If you want the best Italian food and pizza, go to Bettola, Scituate in the middle of the state, it's not too fahhh for anyone in the state!! Enjoy when you do!!

Yelp
Tagged along with a yelp buddy who got invited to an event here. I was having a meatball craving so I had to go!! Did I get meatballs, no!! Why not? Because there are too many delicious choices! Fellow Yelpers were raving about the banging broccoli so that was a gotta try app for sure! The tempura batter was light, crisp and perfectly done. The spices were bangin' for sure!! Sweet, heat that didn't overpower the broccoli taste. So delish! The wings were tender, fall off the bone. Flavor was good but too subtle for me. Really yummy though. The red sangria went down like a chubby chick on a see saw (no intent to offend, yes I was that chubby chick as a child.....I mean seriously, Girl loves good food!) so no pix of the drinks sorry! The menu is unfortunately loaded with dairy rich foods/cheeses. I really wish they had some nondairy or non cow milk choices (cheese/oat/almond).....especially on their pizzas which I would have loved to have had. Being lactose intolerant at this Italian restaurant is no buono. I chose the braised short ribs and asked for the cheesy risotto to be swapped for their new potatoes. The ribs were so tender and flavorful!!!! Seriously rich and luscious. The potatoes were piping hot and flavorful as well. Such a wonderful choice!! We ended the meal with dessert to go. I really wanted to try the lemon cello Tiramasu but they were out. Guessing it is crazy good! Got the death by chocolate cake instead. The cake is moist, not overly rich and the mousse, frosting, chocolate chips all make a decadent bite! Really top knotch dessert. So glad Yelp led us back here this year!! Loved it last year and we loved it again! Looking forward to returning for a date night with my hubby.

Yelp
** Ordered delivery so I can't speak to the service or the physical restaurant. The pizza was really good and we were able to add basil for free! Pasta was good but not great- the bolognese didn't have much sauce but the pasta was well-cooked. Overall I feel like we got a good bang for our buck and I recommend!

Cindy E.

Yelp
We went here on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. The arancini balls were my favorite. The salad was great and big, but on a tiny plate, which made it a little difficult to eat.

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner tonight ( date night)! Such a great little corner restaurant in Cranston on Rolfe St! We grabbed the last seats at the bar and had fabulous meals & drinks. I had a mocktail berry manikin it was a lil spicy & fruity . Eggplant parm with pasta was just perfect . My husband got soup & a sandwich that was so tasty . The bartender was great & so accommodating this is a neighborhood place you could tell everyone knew each other & we met great people too. We can't wait to go back the pizza looked amazing too. Clean friendly homey atmosphere :)

Yelp
Just my favorite pizza place around! Ordered the gold digger pizza which had my least favorite ingredient, mustard, but this pizza was really good! The mustard was bad, it was fresh, hot, and savory. The bang broccoli is my favorite appetizer. I always don't fail in ordering this crispy, crunchy, fresh green~ makes my meal feel healthy ~ Wednesday mid week dinner treat was the place to be~ clean, warm, there wasn't a crowd, or a wait time, and the staff were patient and chill today. On my random pizza craving we're giving another pizza a try until we can confidently say we tried everything and have a favorite.

Yelp
Everyone raves about Bettola Pizza like it's a religious experience, so we walked in expecting a slice of pure perfection. What we got? A good pizza--solid, well-made--but not the mind-blowing masterpiece we were led to believe. Maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe I've just had better. The crust was decent, the toppings fresh, but it didn't have that wow factor that makes you want to write poetry about melted cheese. It was the kind of pizza you'd happily eat, but not the kind you'd drive miles out of your way for. And the service? Oof. We waited and waited for someone to give us menus. Then we waited and waited for them to take our order. At one point, I started wondering if we had somehow become invisible. If the food had been amazing, maybe I'd overlook it--but with pizza this overhyped, slow service just made it all the more disappointing. Was it bad? Not at all. Overrated? Definitely. If you go in expecting greatness, you might leave thinking, Eh, it's fine... if you've got all day to wait for it.

Yelp
I have been to Bettola on 3 different occasions: RI Food Fights- Lord of the Wings 2023 Elite Event 2024 RI Food Fights- Lord of the Pies 2024 This place is consistent! They are constantly pumping out great service, good food in a modern/sheik atmosphere. This place is well worth visiting. Drinks! Mystery beers. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T's. The pop culture place mat's. The celebrity bathroom photo's that adorn the bathrooms. Cannoli's! The Marilyn Monroe pizza is delish!

Yelp
Rating 4.3 Came back to try Bettola again but with a review this time. Bettola is a popular Italian restaurant located in the corner of Cranston. You enter through small side door and inside is moderate size with some seatings. They also have some decor and have fun paper table cloth with funny ads. Usually, the place is busy and there are waits but today was not bas because it was Wednesday night. We were quickly sat down. I've tried few things here but decided to try some things new. We ordered bangin broccoli, gold digger pizza, and truffle maker pasta. Bangin broccoli is my partner's favorite. It's like spicy garlic soy chicken but is broccoli. Tasted good and feels less guilty. Gold digger pizza was pretty good. Sweetness of BBQ sauce mixed with slight mustard flavor paired with chicken, bacon, peppers and onions. Nice chewy dough works great with twist on BBQ chicken pizza. The truffle maker was also pretty good. Looked and tasted similar to mac and cheese but with truffle flavors. Pastas were perfectly cooked and not too soft. Service was pretty good for the most part. Wet napkin would have been nice to have after eating as pizza gets messy which i noticed were available on the way out. Overall, the place is pretty solid as Italian restaurant with good service and food. Would come back to try other dishes on the menu when it's not too busy.

Yelp
Sat at the bar here one night and had the most delicious sandwich called the big short and a side of Brussels sprouts with bacon. Muah! Magnificent! I ate every last bite. Had a mock-tail called how about them apples. Sweet and delicious. Took my parents back for dinner and had the amazing pizza. Dying to go back and try everything else. Bartenders and servers were all pleasant and timely. The bathroom was clean and had funny pics on the walls (pics posted) There's a small lot in the back to park but out front is free street parking. They do have some sort of mug club but I'm not sure about the details. Lots of beers on tap as well. Great date night spot.

Yelp
This was my third visit to Bettola. As always the staff is very friendly and attentive. Our waitress came to check on our party of 6 several times. This is small restaurant and has always been crowded. They do not take reservations so prepare to wait during busy times. It's worth the wait. I had the Bolognese and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente which is the way it should be cooked. Having lived in Italy and experiencing the pasta there this brought back memories on how pasta is done. Too many Italian restaurants in America overcook their pasta, not this place. Well done Bettola. I can't wait to go back. This is quickly becoming my go to Italian restaurant.

Yelp
In Cranston, where their pizza can trade punches with Providence like a heavyweight brawl, Bettola doesn't just throw its hat into the ring--it sticks its chin out and dares you to throw your best shot. Under industrial dome lights, with Marilyn Monroe watching from the wall and a 90s alt-rock soundtrack cutting through the air, the vibe is deliberate and confident. It's the kind of place that knows exactly what it's doing--and doesn't need to tell you that you're going to like it. Then the bread hits the table. It's not just bread; it's a declaration of intent. Fresh from the oven, it's hot, airy, almost shocking in a way that tells you someone in the kitchen understands fermentation like a jazz musician understands rhythm. It's a detail most places would ignore, but here? That bread lets you know what you're in for: precision, care, and a refusal to settle for "good enough." And then the pizza arrives. It's the kind of moment that makes you sit up, because this isn't just food--it's art. Think of a Ferrari idling outside a café in Milan, sleek and purposeful, every detail designed to turn heads. That's what Bettola's pizza looks like. Gorgeous. Effortless. Confident without trying too hard. The crust? It's not just a base--it's the star of the show. Most places treat crust like a conveyance, just there to deliver sauce and toppings to your mouth. Not here. Here, the crust is everything. Light, airy, and perfectly chewy, it's the kind of crust that makes you reach for the ends--not to finish what's left, but to savor it. No butter. No sauce. Just dough, pure and perfect, pulling you into its orbit. The sauce follows, bold and brassy. It's not sweet, not overly acidic--none of those shortcuts that plague lesser pies. It's tomato as it's meant to be: fresh, deep, and slightly salty, with just enough heat to keep you coming back for more. And the pepperoni? Generous. Well-distributed. Crisped at the edges like it's fresh from some wood-fired fever dream. The cheese ties it all together, playing its part without stealing the spotlight. Every element feels deliberate, purposeful, and executed with the kind of precision that demands respect. When it all comes together, it's not just pizza--it's harmony. Every bite is a reminder of what happens when someone refuses to compromise, when every detail matters. The crust, the sauce, the toppings--they don't just work together; they sing. For my.money, when Bettola is on its game, it proves that Cranston's pizza scene can go slice-for-slice with anyone in the state. This isn't just pizza; it's craft. A manifesto for why good enough will never be good enough. In a state where pizza is a religion, Bettola doesn't just rise to the challenge--it rewrites the commandments.

Yelp
What a great place ! We have eaten here probably about six times and each time always have an excellent experience. There is a parking lot out back and you can park on the street if it's full. It's not a huge place so you may have to wait for a bit. But it's worth it. We usually get pizzas and they are always well Cooked with generous toppings. The staff are helpful and friendly and make sure your glass is never empty. They have a decent sized menu so there is something for everyone. It's a great option for a meal and I highly recommend it.

Melanie M.

Yelp
Was very cold when we got there around 5 Pm Lights we're too bright Pasta dishes are very very small portions for the money .My son has the chicken Parm very thin and not alot of pasta he wouldn't let me take a picture he was to hungry Didn't offer choices of pasta also no bread on the table it was a one and done for us way to expensive portions way too small

Yelp
Tucked away in Cranston's Rolfe Square, this neighborhood pizza emporium delivers on its promise of Italian comfort food. The Margherita pizza featured a Neapolitan-style crispy crust and a generous heap of melty mozzarella evenly distributed so you get cheese in just about every bite. I couldn't resist a third slice (despite being full from snitching a few gnocchis from my companion's plate and splitting a good size Caesar salad). Service was excellent. Pretty easy to become a regular here. The decor was fun--be sure to check out the wall art that explains the true meaning of Italian hand gestures!

Amanda A.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in RI. I love a good Neapolitan pizza and they do it so well. It's great for dining in takeout. The service is always excellent, and they have some really great dessert options. My go to is always the Margherita pizza With prosciutto and a big slice of the birthday cake. The Parmesan truffle fries are excellent and they have really high-quality wings. I love that they change their specials weekly and usually theme them including their cocktails. They have some of the best cocktails around. They are one of the few places that has lavender drinks and edible glitter, and it's just my absolute favorite all around. Five stars, highly recommended.

Yelp
So the braised short ribs is one of my all time favorite meals. 10/10 would recommend. But I went for lunch the other day and didn't want to order something I'd consider more for dinner. Sooooo I went with the short rib sandwich on the seasoned focaccia. The seasoned focaccia is oiled on top and had some seasonings sprinkled on it - to be honest I saw it and regretted it. I didn't want oily hands. It wasn't until I was halfway done eating it that I realized not once did I think to myself while eating "damn this is oily and messy" don't know how... but it didn't make me feel greasy. And it tasted great. I couldn't eat all the bread - but I made sure to leave no short rib behind and ate all the sandwich insides. I don't think I knew there was a short rib sandwich before - now I'm glad I do. We sat at the bar and the girl working kinda got slammed as the restaurant picked up - she was on top of things and she did apologize for any delay (it didn't seem like any delay, we were happily chatting). It was a Friday for lunch and she said it normally didn't get that busy but she probably had 7 tables and then four people at the bar - all solo. She crushed it. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Always a plus.

Yelp
I first discovered bettola from a yelp elite event and since then I've frequently ventured back. Their pizza crust is soft on the inside and crispy on the outside to perfection. The toppings compliment each other well and it's easy to order something off the menu without customizing anything. This is likely one of my top places to eat outside of Providence proper. The service is consistently warm and I have always had some really good recommendations from the servers. The mood is cozy which perfectly works with the comforting flavors of pizza.

Trevor P.

Yelp
I've been to bettola several times and continue to go back not Judy for delicious comfort food but their service is excellent while maintaining a clean establishment that is very cool inside! They have a good size bar but the dinning area can fill up fast on busy nights! Very well known for their pizzas but also have a wide range of other delicious Italian options! The gold digger pie is my favorite signature pie they have to offer but I really enjoyed a classic pepperoni w/ fresh basil, ricotta, and hot honey.. so good!! The Caesar salad is delicious with homemade dressing and their fried mozzarella is a must as an app! Great spot for dinner and lunch!

Kelly F.

Yelp
Get the garlic Parmesan wings. I've been sleeping on them. They are huge and so delicious. Ther server noted they are her favorite and I can understand why. They big and crispy and perfect. I've had the gold digger pizza and whiskey buffalo wings in the past and they were both a win. This time I opted for the pepperoni pizza and it was really good. They always just have like one host, one server who is working bar as well but they do a great job keeping up with tables. There's a small lot to park right behind the building. I've never had alcoholic drinks here because it's a week night or Sunday but the seasonal drinks look tasty.

Lisa W.

Yelp
We finally were able to get in here, and now we know why it had been impossible on any weekend for dinner! After waiting at the "Please wait to be seated" podium, we were noticed and seated. What a difference from not even being able to park around there on the weekends!! There is, however, a small parking lot behind the restaurant. We will be back here during the week for sure! We ordered a Margherita pizza and a meatball sandwich, called the Bambino. We also had water and a soda. The pizza was the best Italian pizza oven pizza around, and we've tried quite a few. Although it was thin and floppy at the center, the crust was light and airy. San Marzano tomatoes for the simple sauce and fresh mozzarella. Perfection! Delicious!! It was cooked perfectly! My husband thought the meatballs and sauce tasted very good. The roll looked like a ciabatta roll and he said it too, was very good. They use provolone on the meatballs, so it was a no try for me, but I was enjoying the pizza! It looks like I didn't get a good pic of the meatball sandwich. Sorry!! Melissa B took very good care of us. It is definitely a smaller place with a large bar and large brick oven taking up a lot of room. The tile on the floor and walls reminded me of my Nonna's home, giving me that warm feeling of back in the day! I could see into the kitchen from where I was sitting, and it looked clean. We will definitely be back here during the week. We can't wait to try some of the other choices the menu offers, other than pizza and sandwiches. If you plan to come on a weekend, you'd best call to see if they take reservations.

Yelp
Bettola in Cranston is a fresh take on Italian dining, blending classic flavors with modern twists in a vibrant setting. The Marilyn Monroe pizza is a standout--perfectly thin, with a beautiful balance of ingredients that make it both indulgent and light. It's clear they put thought into every detail of the menu, and the appetizers are all fantastic, offering a little something for every taste. With attentive service and a stylish ambiance, Bettola is definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for elevated pizza and Italian dishes with a contemporary touch.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Always enjoy visiting this lovely place! Fun to see regulars and staff always go out of their way to make me and my guests comfortable!!! Love the Marilyn Monroe,Eddie mushroom PIZZAS... ENTREES;This VEAL SMACKS!! are incredible! And the deserts scrumptious!!! Thank you Ashley for ALL you do ... what a SUCCESS STORY you've created!!!

Yelp
The atmosphere is really great. Great service and the food is delicious. The staff is very nice. That is the place to be. We met so many nice people !!!

Yelp
Second visit to Bettola. Rachel was our waitress both visits. She is very high energy without being 'in your face'. Nice, friendly, competent. We love her. A parking lot is located behind the restaurant. It can be tight for a large vehicle. Our first visit the snow had been shoveled around to the front entrance and they threw some sand down while we were inside. Street parking is also available. Seats by the door do get a blast of cold air when the door opens, so maybe bring a sweater if it's cold outside jic. Wait by the door to be seated. A mix of cushioned banquette/booth seating and chairs around wooden table tops or bar seating make up this cozy neighborhood spot. Separate menus for adult beverages and food were put on the table for us. A variety of beer, wine and house crafted cocktails with fun names are on offering from the bar. Last visit I ordered "Whiskey business". For my pallet it was too sweet, no whiskey taste. If you like sweet and worry about the whiskey taste, give that a try. Because of food sensitivities, I can eat limited food items on menu (not just here) so I stick to the Margarita pizza. The crust edge is nice and fluffy. I like the foldable consistency of the dough over all and it reheats beautifully in my skillet where it gets a nice crunchy crust. The sauce is a bit sweet (not overly so) had a bit of garlic (house smells yummy during reheat) and the amount of cheese just the right balance. For me, the more basil the better and this pie had a nice distribution. My dining companion ordered the Italian sub on the chili oil chiabatta. I am told it's quite a good sandwich and the chili oil is a nice addition to the bread. They do prefer a grinder roll over ciabatta, but still managed to scarf this sandwich down. We shared a Ceaser salad before our mains. The lettuce is fresh and lightly dressed with a sprinkling of grated cheese over top. Croutons are hard. One salad is enough for 3, maybe four, as a first course. Rachel kept our waters filled and checked in with us throughout our stay. Food is good quality and recipes tasty. Cocktails are good over all and they offer a nice variety of beer styles. I have yet to use the restroom here, but understand a diaper station is located there. The interior is cozy and casual. Good for a casual date night or family dinner out.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to try this place upon searching for good pizza in Cranston while our son and his friends played at Top Golf. So, so glad we did! Everything was perfect- the ambiance, the authentic Italian feel, the menu, the drinks, the service and the FOOD. We split the cherry pecan salad with arugula, goat cheese and a delicious maple dijon dressing. We each ordered a pizza - I got the Marilyn Monroe and my husband got the pepperoni. Truly Neapolitan style, both were delicious!! Delectable crust, sauce, high quality cheeses! We had plenty to take home because the food and flavors were so rich! I also got the Espresso martini- yummmm! We had the best service by Taylor. What a great meal out; we will definitely be back!!

Jack S.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Server was accommodating and cheerful. Wine selection was not as good as the food, but adequate. We were a little anxious that we saw the food under the heat lamp for a full 5 minutes with no sign of a server to deliver it, but the first one who saw it delivered it immediately. My daughter RAVED about the stuffed gnocchi and my shortribs over Risotto was spectacular. Fell apart under the fork but not stringy at all. Chopped salad was crisp, fresh and delicious. Prices were surprisingly low for the quality and portions! The room was busy and full but we enjoyed a conversation with "inside voices" Took off half a star for the languishing entrees on the rail, but will definitely be back!

Jay A.

Yelp
We found this place by accident and enjoyed it. Great craft beer selection and food was excellent. Will certainly return.

Kim S.

Yelp
We've been here twice and enjoyed it both times. The atmosphere is great and it's fairly small so it wasn't too noisy. The pasta with vodka sauce was good, it was on the creamier side. I also love that you can get chicken parm (my husband had) and make your own pizza with vodka sauce. The cheesecake was yummy! Prices are very reasonable and we took home leftovers both visits. Service is good and being that it's small, they are attentive.

Vincent H.

Yelp
I was very excited to try this pizza, I was waiting to go with my family because it is supposed to be the best pizza in RI and they have gluten free which means my wife could actually eat some. They were out of gluten free pizza, the waitress was very short and unpleasant with us. She also had no recommendations for us about what pizza to try or any popular non-pizza options for gluten free dining when we asked... Thankfully the fries and pizza were very good and the ambiance is nice. I need to give them another try because it really is the customer service that is dragging down my review and maybe she was just having a bad day

Thomas B.

Yelp
Stopped in Tuesday night after work. Another stop on the Rhode Island foodfights tour, I do confess I've been here before and previously had the princess which was excellent, but tonight since I was dining solo, I went with my favorite pepperoni. I love the atmosphere of this place and it has a good crowd and mix of people, but I especially like that they have a revolving selection of draft beers and anytime Peroni is on draft. I am happy. The pepperoni pizza came out and it looked absolutely delicious and I can only confirm that because I ended up having three slices which is a full slice more than I would normally have. The underside is cooked perfectly and the crust is crispy and soft and warm inside. This is now the third pizza I have tried in Cranston during the month of November And I have to say these Cranston restaurants are blowing my mind with their pizzas! Bettola is definitely a contender for running away with it !

Steve R.

Yelp
We love everything about Bettola. Madison and the rest of the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fun, but not overly loud. You can not go wrong with the delicious food. We've done pizzas, salads, wings, sandwiches, and can't decide what we love the most. Definitely our go to restaurant!

Julie P.

Yelp
Bettola has a great selection of delicious and interesting pizza. I've been a few times and the Marilyn Monroe and the San Gennarro stand out. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the Marilyn Monroe enough that we bought some of the hot honey topping to take home. This most recent trip I also tried the Arancini, which I thought were great. Very chewy and satisfying. The restaurant can be really busy and it's also a pretty family focused restaurant, so service can suffer a little. I think they generally have one or two servers working for the whole restaurant. The seating in the restaurant is really sturdy and comfortable. They generally have a TV or two on, which can be good or bad, depending what you're looking for.

Amanda M.

Yelp
Came here because I saw that they have been voted best pizza as part of the Rhode Island Food Fights Champions. Maybe my expectations were set too high or maybe I didn't come on a good night but first impressions were a bit off. Felt as if the other tables around us were being attended to and we were a bit neglected. It seemed as if everyone around was regulars but this was my first time here and was absolutely not given the same hospitality and service unfortunately. As it started to get busier we were asked if we wanted boxes and we were not even halfway done with our meal so it felt like we were being rushed out which is not a great feeling especially since the table next to us wasn't asked to pack up and leave although they had been there longer. But the food was amazing! For the appetizer we got the bangin broccoli which alone could have left me satisfied. Then followed by the apple bottom greens salad. The dressing and toppings paired really lovely together and really enjoyed how not overpowering the dressing tasted. For mains we chose gnocchi, and 2 of their signature pizzas! Once again the food had us doing a happy dance. Will return again and see if we can give them a better rating! Because based on the food they certainly deserve it.

Yelp
One of my pizza spot and I always come back. But just my most recent visit the experience hasn't been all that pleasant compared to my other visits. Our food came out really slow and we only ordered two appetizers (wings and truffle fries) and a single pizza (the gold digger btw delicious). BUT... The utensil that was given to me were not properly cleaned which threw off my experience right off the bat. The fork that I was using had what looked like a piece of dirty rubber stuck on the underside and I didn't realized until I used it and felt a weird bump on the fork inside my mouth. Gross.

Yelp
Started going to Bettola a few months ago. I really like this joint. So much better than the restaurant they replaced. The food? Excellent! I often get the crispy veal with pasta. The veal is cooked extremely well. Nice and crispy. The pasta is cooked to perfection every time. Never overcooked. I dislike mushy pasta. I really like the tomato sauce. Appears to be home made from quality tomatoes. San Marzano? It's exactly the way I make at home. Basically, crushed tomatoes and EVO, I assume. No overpowering herbs that distort the tomato flavor. Tomato sauce does not need herbs. Maybe do a pint of sauce to go? I would buy. The wings are great as well. I see others ordering different foods and the staff really make these dishes shine! The service is great! I often sit at the bar with my new friend Pete. A classic Italian guy with a good word for everyone. And stories that make me laugh. The staff I know, Ashley, Madison and Raine, are great and interact with customers in a very friendly manner. The ambiance is more than one would expect from a pizza joint. Nice bar with top shelf liquor. Plenty of drafts to choose from. If only they had a small fresh dough flatbread pizza. I would buy that. The one size pizza is great but too much for a guy on a lower carb diet. I'm not a fan of reheated pizza.

Yelp
The Mama Mia pizza is fantastic. The dough is bubbly. The ingredients are fresh. The flavor combination works great together. Great service from hostess to service support. Also get the fresh breaded mozzarella. R.I Food Fights. P3

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday afternoon it was pretty quiet when we arrived the football game was on and it started to pick up. Now the place is almost full bar and tables. Quiet with old school 60s music. The waitress was very good it looked like she may have been the only waitress on she was handling the bar and tables. We ordered the garlic parmesan wings they were tasty hot and crispy. The pepperoni pizza was good.

Yelp
Solid take out several times here. Solid fresh ingredients Good pizza and Pasta is great and cooked al dente. Good flavor. A great neighborhood spot. We stopped in one day for lunch and had sandwiches and said we'd stick to the pasta and pizza.

Yelp
I love Bettola! I've been several times. The menu consist of pizzas, pasta, wings, and other delicious comfort foods. We ordered the Marilyn Monroe pizza (my favorite), pink vodka over rigatoni, and a side of risotto and side of meatballs. Everything was delicious! We also ordered 4 desserts. Bettola always has friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere.

Yelp
I was in RI visiting my son and we were looking for a good pizza place. I did a little digging around and saw Bettola and a few pictures of the pizza had us interested, I am always on the hunt for a good thin crust pie. Raine was our bartender/server. We started out with the Crispy Mozz and it was easily the best I've ever had, you could tell they were made with fresh mozzarella. We moved onto the pizza, we ordered the pizza with sausage and black olive. The pizza was the best pizza I've ever had, the crust was absolutely delicious. I could go on and on but trust me, DAMN GOOD PIE! The place had a good vibe and Raine was super friendly and attentive. Nothing more to say, you'll be hooked.

Yelp
Honestly was very surprised by this place! Hard to find really solid food in this area coming from big metropolitan areas. But what a great place! Very hip and clean and modern. Staff are very nice. Highly recommend getting their pizza! I thought it was some of the best brick oven pizzas I've had in RI. I customized my pizza with vodka sauce and wild mushrooms and fresh mozzarella and it was delicious. My husband and brother shared the dinner for two because it was such a good deal. $30/pp to share the same choice of entree and appetizer but you can choose your own desserts. Highly recommend and would come back!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. Best pizza around with a perfect Neapolitan style crust. It's tough not to eat the whole darn pie yourself. But then they have these desserts that are out of this world, and pasta dishes that are perfectly executed, and a short rib with risotto that is mind blowing. On top of that, the ambience is super casual and inviting, and the service is friendly. They've got some fun specials and promotions, too, like beer clubs and a rewards wheel. This is a perfect spot just outside the city where you can get amazing food and not have to worry about parking. Definitely try it out!

Yelp
Not really sure what's going on in the pizza kitchen, two weeks in a row I have ordered pizzas and they have been completely wrong. I understand that a busy kitchen and things can get lost in the shuffle, but I ordered a pizza special and when it was delivered it was a Marilyn Monroe pizza (weird) I ended up eating it and liking it, so the following week I ordered the same pizza and it came with blue cheese on it?? Disgusting! I couldn't even eat it. How do you even mess up blue cheese with ricotta. That was so gross. Waste of money and I'll probably not be going or ordering from here for awhile. Edit- I know Gorgonzola cheese, that was not what was made for my order. I have gotten that pizza before, and enjoyed it. This was twice it happened, not once. I have the order history to prove it.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Thursday night and wow was it packed! I love seeing packed restaurants. That means the food will be great! Upon entering I was blown away by the architectural design. There were very high ceilings with a brewery type, feeling. We had to wait about 20 mins to be seated. It was well worth it though. Wings were a lil dried out, however the blue cheese made up for it. Fig "N" A pizza was delicious but with every bite the prosciutto would slide all the toppings in one bite lol. Hard gnocc life was super filling! Gnocchi's were stuffed with cheese which I absolute loved! Its was soft and pillowy. Overall everything was so !
