This spot has great vibes, great service, and great food. I had a very filling pecky biscuit with a medium well egg (as recommended by my server) and the iced hibiscus tea. The prices might seem slightly high, but the food is excellent quality and very filling. The tea was also SO refreshing. They bring you your bill in a book which was a fun bonus 😁 FYI - It had been a while since I was in downtown Boone and parking is inexpensive but not easy.

Betty's Biscuits is an absolute must-visit! Their Nashville hot chicken is a wonderful blend of spice and flavor, complemented perfectly by rich, creamy grits. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Overall great vibe and great location. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone craving comfort food with a Southern twist!

This place is TOO MUCH! In a great way! WOW, WOW, WOW....the biscuits are fantastic! We tried the Trina, Zionville hot chicken, Yo Nanna, a plain biscuit, a side of bacon, coffee, fresh oj, and a latte. Zionville hot chicken was by far the best hot chicken I've had. It was perfectly fried, crispy, and not greasy. The sauce was spicy, tangy, sweet....so many evolving tastes! The collards were perfectly prepared, fresh, and uniquely seasoned. The grits.....oh the grits, they were plentiful, just cheesy enough to cut the spice of the sauce and paired beautifully with the chicken. Changing from savory to sweet, Yo Nanna was excellent. French toast biscuit was very good. Topped with fresh bananas slowly cooked in a carmel sauce and homemade whipped cream. All of this is on a base of melted chocolate! Unbelievably yummy! Latte was well prepared, coffee is bold and fresh, and oj is freshly squeezed. Bacon is off the hook, smokey, and thickly cut. Best bacon I've had around these parts. Overall, it was an outstanding restaurant, great service, and a calm, inviting atmosphere. We'll be back!!!!

Came here for some breakfast and everything was outstanding. The biscuits are delicious and the breakfast sandwiches (both savory and sweet) are rich and varied. Our server Dani was extremely wonderful and friendly. The interior was inviting, cozy, and well decorated for the holidays. Glad Betty’s biscuits has opened in this great location and looking forward to coming back to try more food and some cocktails next time.

Google
This place was such a great surprise. We chose it randomly and the biscuits were Devine and my bacon was perfect. Servers were all smiles. Atmosphere is farm chic—especially loved the pictures of grandmas. Would definitely recommend.

Google
This place was a 10/10 for us! We went two days in a row and couldn’t have critiqued a thing! I would not miss this gem if you’re in town. It was precious! From the interior design to the flavor of the food. So good!

Google
what an excellent new find! we have a cabin up in the mountains so come a few times a year. it’s been great to see all the new spots in town. hadn’t been since last December and bumped into this on the way up the mountain and finally made it down to try it. food was excellent! a highlight was the sausage and pepper jam biscuit (+ cheese) and the biscuit with butter and jam. 💯 the space is very cozy, and the attention to detail is nice. and the service was just lovely. Dani was very nice and had good suggestions. Looking forward to coming by at night for some cocktails. hope this one sticks around for the long run!

Amazing food. A must stop if in Boone. We will drive an hour to get there just for breakfast. Had Nashville chicken w grits plate here. Quite good

Yelp
I know this is a biscuit joint but first of all I must pay homage to one of the most delicious bloody Mary's I have ever enjoyed. Brunch with friends always hits, but brunch on a friend vacation with a bloody Mary just hits different. Cue Betty's Biscuits. A group of 8 of us strolled in on a Saturday without a reservation (silly us). We of course had to wait, but spent the hour strolling up and down the main street. Once we sat, our friendly server took our order. The menu is comfort food at its finest. It features biscuit sandwiches, bowls and a build your own plate section. I opted for "My big momma" which had 2 eggs, grits, and your choice of breakfast meat. When I opted for grits, I had the choice of pimento cheese grits or regular. When life throws you the option to add pimento cheese to anything, I say go forward with that option without regret. I really enjoyed my breakfast and the biscuit itself was delish. They also have different jams for your biscuit so you can mix and match with friends at the table to try a few. My friend who is gluten free was overjoyed to see they had GF options for not only biscuits but also gravy, which she said was great. We ended brunch with a round of French 75s. I loved the decor here - it gave the vibe that you were in your grandma's house for Sunday brunch. They also had a wall with photos of employee grandma's adorning it, and that truly warmed my heart.

Yelp
OH MY LANTA ! If Betty's was nearby , trouble for me . Their egg sandwiches were over the top amazing. The biscuits , ham and cheese over the eggs , complimented with caramelized onions ... enough for a day ! I did skip the " duke" which justified everything else . Coffee was really good ( I am picky!) smooth and deep . People working were very nice and patient as we pondered the menu . Restroom was CLEAN ( always a good sign) and seating area as well . We waddled out to the truck with a big bag to go . Gosh I wish we lived closer !

Yelp
The positives: I think that the food is great - tasty and good portion size. I've gotten the berry biscuit and the big momma plate. Both were yummy and delightful. The fried chicken is also very good - it's a chicken thigh and not too heavy. I think it's a go to spot in Boone for me! The semi-negatives: The dining area is kinda small, so there's normally a wait. They will call you - sometimes my phone goes straight to voicemail, so that's a bit annoying bc my table was given away. Luckily there was another one available as soon as I got there. it's also a little confusing on where the hostess stand is to put your name on a wait list. Also the first time I came, the hostess asked about butter and type of jam we wanted. When we went today, he never asked and so we never got butter or jam when taking our order. So it feels a little unclear what's included when you order, because there are prices listed if you get a side of butter or jam. I guess next time we'll ask our server what's included!

Yelp
I've only ever stopped in Boone on Sundays, but this place has been quite crowded whenever I've tried to get in. When I finally found a lull, I still had to wait a while for service; they could stand to have more people working because the ones there were certainly busy. For a Southern biscuit place, they stood out to me because they had at least some options for special dietary needs, including GF and a mushroom-based gravy if you want that with your biscuit. I went for something sweet. Their caramelized sorghum banana biscuit delivered an excellent mix of flavors. It's the sort of thing I'd expect to taste in Charleston, but I was happy to have found it in Boone. The hazelnut-based sauce added a bitter hint. Ideally, I would like to see them offer some substantive vegan options in addition to the vegetarian ones; if they had tofu instead of eggs I would have ordered it, and I was definitely not the most hippie person in this college town. But for what they're doing now, it appears that the place is full because they're doing it pretty well.

Yelp
Was so excited that they offer gluten-free biscuits here. We got some biscuits and gravy to go. Very sweet, Dani, took our order and got it together quickly. I had my biscuit with honey, and it was delicious. My husband had his gravy and was really happy, too. We would love to come back again and dine in. They have indoor and outdoorseatong and a wide selection of dishes on the menu. The employees were all really nice and welcoming. Good cute restaurant in the downtown area.

Yelp
The biscuits were fantastic. The service was great. Cozy and warm ambience. We stopped in while our car was charging in the public lot.

Yelp
This place just opened their storefront in Boone 3 weeks ago, but before this they had a food truck that went around town. They have SO MANY gluten free options here!! Both biscuits you see in my review are gluten free and were so yummy. We couldn't even finish them. The seasoning was perfect and the service was phenomenal. We got a tea pot to share and it was $5 for two cups of tea. It came with honey sticks as well. This location is right on King St. by Mast General and should be a must-try when you visit Boone!!

Charlie S.

Yelp
Very interesting and tasty menu! Only complaint was that the dining room was a bit cramped (we had 3 people at a table only meant for 2). Probably some of the best breakfast I've had in Boone.

Brigette K.

Yelp
Friday morning breakfast! We sat outside with our little dog. The wait staff were helpful and mostly attentive. We ordered and everything came out pretty quickly, and was very tasty. The biscuits were the obvious stars! When I was ready for the check, it did seem like they forgot about me for about 20 minutes but that was the only low point. I would come back!

Ophelia N.

Yelp
What a cute breakfast spot!!! We live in Miami, so whenever we come up we enjoy going to the local restaurants. And this place is quite a gem. Biscuits are price winning and so is their breakfast options. Yet, what completes this perfect formula for success is the friendly and professional service. Our server Dani was amazing, but all their staff is just as courteous and friendly. Give yourself a treat and try this jewel in the heart of King Street.

Yelp
Looking from the outside, this restaurant doesn't seems much. But the moment that I walked into the restaurant, you just felt like you walk into something special. The decor is nice and clean. Everyone seems to be joining the food and environment. The staff here are excellent, considering this is the college area, they have some great staff working here. Our waiter Jaedon provided some great service, he is nice and kind willing to serve. They also have a lot of staff, I can see that they are working well as a team. The food are excellent, the biscuits is perfect. I also like their sausage, not too salty just right. I will come back here every time I am in Boone area.

Carol R.

Yelp
Great spot! Very cute atmosphere, every detail was thought of... cut napkins, nice flatware and glassware. And the biscuits! Omg. The most delicious and moist biscuit ever. Nothing dry about them! Paired with yummy toppings. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to go back next time we are in town. Service great too.

Marci H.

Yelp
A gluten-free dream. Best GF biscuits we've ever had, best fried chicken, just all around, quality food.

TheCoolSqaud H.

Yelp
1 Star review because we waited 20 hole minutes and people came after use and they ordered before us and we never got our food so we went to McDonald's

Yelp
Betty's Biscuits was a really good experience that will continue to improve over time. I believe at this time they have only been opened less than a week so they have some kinks to work out. With that said this a great addition to Boone that I would highly recommend checking out. The environment is very nice inside and they decorated the place well! The plates and cups are all high quality and they picked great choices. I was a really big fan of the coffee mugs! The food: The biscuit was pretty good! It was a solid biscuit that compliments the rest of the breakfast well. They use high quality ingredients and you can taste that in the food. The only negative food I had was the potatoes. They were just not salted and not very good. I wish they had grits the day I went but they did not. The coffee: The iced vanilla latte was one of the best I have had. I am still dreaming about this latte it was that good! I do not know what coffee company they are using but it produced a very good flavor that was smooth. The service: They made some mistakes, the service was a bit on the slow end but they apologized and owned all their mistakes and fixed them. That's all I can ask for! All in all I feel really good about their future and I would highly recommend checking out if in the area!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! Didn't expect what we walking into from the looks of the outside! We got the golden latter (excellent, not very sweet but that's what we liked about it), then we grabbed the butterbuster - it was perfectly made and exactly what a simple biscuit should taste like, then we got the Yo Nanna, which is a French toast biscuit. So so good. The butter and salt in a French toast biscuit was excellent! Now let's talk about the atmosphere and the design! Such a cute spot with brilliant dark blue accents and the exposed brick & wooden beams are everything you'd want in a small, charming, southern mountain town biscuit shop! The cutlery is accented with gold, the coffee cups are ceramic and the plates and bowls feel like they've been made by local artisans (perhaps they have??). The napkins are all sorts of different colors and patterns. Seeing them on rustic tables just made me smile and feel like I was at a distant aunts house who has curated taste and makes the best food! Would absolutely recommend and can't wait to visit again when the patio is open and y'all's liquor license is finally through! My only note is to know the story about Betty! Who is she? Is she real?? I'm Not a local so I'm not familiar with her story. The website didn't have much on her from what I could see but would love to know. Thanks so much for a wonder sendoff breakfast for some outta town-ers!

Andrea A.

Yelp
Solid brunch spot in Boone! Had a sweet tooth this morning, so went for the Yo Nanna (French toast biscuit, sorghum & vanilla bananas, hazelnut chocolate, whipped cream), which was tasty but not out of this world. Also got the Orange Iced Latte, which is a seasonal drink. Gotta be honest I was skeptical at first about whether orange in coffee could go well together, but I have been convinced that they can! Service was friendly; ambiance is so aesthetic. 7/10 would recommend!

Yelp
Great experience at Betty's Biscuits on a Sunday morning while all the students and their parents were moving back in to school. There was a small wait to get seated, but the food was well worth it. Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked really good, and I was very happy with mine too. Only drawback was trying to get a regular coffee, seems they only offer other types of coffee drinks, so I opted for a latte. Definitely recommended!

Daniela T.

Yelp
Absolutely yummy. Totally worth the wait. On the main downtown street. Must try. I also got the grapefruit juice . Not bad but but squeezed fresh.

Joe K.

Yelp
GREAT place! Food is top notch and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Wonderful owner. Drove up from Asheville, and can't wait to go back. Only wish they would open one in AVL. Terry K.

Brian E.

Yelp
Food was very good. Great atmosphere and friendly staff with good service a must try B in downtown Boone.

Steve C.

Yelp
Thought we'd try the new place and was pretty disappointed in the prices for a biscuit with meat...$11.09...seemed awfully high. I had a biscuit & sausage gravy. It was also $11 and came with sprouts, which don't fit the sandwich. The wait staff was a bit slow and a coffee refill was $1.50. Too much for a breakfast place, in my opinion. Taste was OK but nothing to write home about!! Maybe they'll get better tasting and less expensive with time. Can't imagine many poor college students being able to afford this with much less expensive and better tasting alternatives in town either better parking options!!

sommer r.

Yelp
Yum So yum! Our waitperson was fantastic as was the ambience. Newly opened and well worth a visit!

Jewell M.

Yelp
Delish! Fresh made biscuits are the real deal. All ingredients are top of the line. The burgers on home made bun is scrumptious. Service is excellent. Ambiance is fun. Don't miss it when in Boone.

Scott S.

Yelp
Ate at Betty's last Saturday and is was delicious. Everything is so fresh and purchased from local farmers. The remi sauce on the hashed potatoes was yummy and biscuit melts in your mouth. Service was outstanding and very attentive. I highly recommend Betty's!

David R.

Yelp
Amazing! Party of 5-all were blown away. I had the breakfast platter. The eggs were the best I've had. And the grits! And the biscuits! Oh the biscuits. The Biscuit French Toast was unbelievably delicious. Crispy bacon. Decor is gorgeous and welcoming. Impeccable service.

Trey W.

Yelp
Got the Plain Jane (country ham) biscuit with an egg added. Fantastic. Nice, cozy little setting with a few outdoor picnic tables as well. Nice addition to King St.!

Harriet B.

Yelp
Food was delicious! We were walking the area and decided to give it a try. So good. Service was great. Outdoor seating. Would definitely go back.

Jamie L.

Yelp
Cute place! And biscuits were great! Felt like I was eating at my grandmas house, very homely and nostalgic. Plus, they had a fun vintage cigarette machine with people selling their little art in it. Spent $10 just on that.

Lori T.

Yelp
Betty's biscuits is a cute little place. They have a unique variety of biscuit sandwiches and DELICIOUS coffee. My husband's was hot and mine was cold-delicious!! The ladies behind the counter were so nice and helpful.

Debbie S.

Yelp
The service was great. The atmosphere was great! Our waitress was very kind, personable, and a great waitress. Ask for Danni next time you go in. The cappuccino and coffee were good. My friend had Mama's breakfast and was very good. I had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, was only able to eat 1/2 of the biscuit because they are si large. My only problem was my biscuit was dry and when I cut it in half. The biscuit crumbled every bite I took. My pic will not transfer over.

Kevin M.

Yelp
First off, SERVICE! Extremely discombobulated and SLOW.... For a biscuit sandwich place. If I'd ordered a soufflé, maybe I could understand the OVER FORTY minute wait, but sadly this was for a biscuit sandwich. The chicken piece was slightly over cooked and greasy...... not left to Drain after frying? The biscuit was good, the staff friendly, but again they are mostly all college students doing their best, not highly trained in the efficient operation of a front end restaurant. We sat outside, the table a little unsteady, so much that when others came to join us it almost spilled out waters!!

Jeannette M.

Yelp
While kudos is deserved for the interior decoration of the restaurant, that is where the compliments end. The sausage and gravy biscuits were flavorful but served at room temperature. The grits and greens bowl was actually a plate with one cold egg, a generous tablespoon of COLD collards, later defined as a "marmalade", a handful of arugula with a watery soy accompaniment. The grits were also not hot and served with cold shredded cheddar. Biscuits are okay but no butter or hot sauce on the table. They do not serve coffee per se, but you can order an espresso. The descriptions of menu items are deceiving and overpriced. Save your time and money and pop a can of Pillsbury's and brew a pot of coffee at home.

Steph S.

Yelp
Welcome addition to downtown Boone. Immediately welcomed by staff; delicious and tasty breakfast. Everything, except orange juice is local sourced. The eggs were cooked spot on, biscuit light and fluffy and bacon, perfect. The fingerling potatoes are amazing. We highly recommend this establishment.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Sat at a two top right outside the door, and I mean keep your elbows tucked so you don't get knocked around distance. Server took our drink order and food order, obviously forgot. Blames it on the kitchen who were still cranking out large party orders placed much later than ours. After flagging someone down, over 20 minutes later we get our drinks... at this point our water is lukewarm and beverages are meh. Food takes another 15 (again not super busy and wouldn't mind if large parties had not been fully served and finished and our two top placed our order wayyy ahead). Was hoping for something similar to biscuit head but disappointed. Biscuit almost taste like fast food quality and flavor profile just wasn't there. Definitely sorry to have ventured away from Melanie's today, we won't make this mistake again!

Dm P.

Yelp
Service was stellar! Food was delicious. Would definitely go back. I think our table tried one of everything. Only let down were the potatoes. No one seemed to care for them.

Madison M.

Yelp
New favorite biscuit place in town! The S'mores French toast was incredible. Service was quick and staff was super kind! Best ambiance as well.

Jayson L.

Yelp
The Biscuit sandwiches were delicious!!! The ambiance is super cute and comfortable. Definitely eating here agai
