I know this is a biscuit joint but first of all I must pay homage to one of the most delicious bloody Mary's I have ever enjoyed. Brunch with friends always hits, but brunch on a friend vacation with a bloody Mary just hits different. Cue Betty's Biscuits.
A group of 8 of us strolled in on a Saturday without a reservation (silly us). We of course had to wait, but spent the hour strolling up and down the main street.
Once we sat, our friendly server took our order. The menu is comfort food at its finest. It features biscuit sandwiches, bowls and a build your own plate section. I opted for "My big momma" which had 2 eggs, grits, and your choice of breakfast meat. When I opted for grits, I had the choice of pimento cheese grits or regular. When life throws you the option to add pimento cheese to anything, I say go forward with that option without regret.
I really enjoyed my breakfast and the biscuit itself was delish. They also have different jams for your biscuit so you can mix and match with friends at the table to try a few. My friend who is gluten free was overjoyed to see they had GF options for not only biscuits but also gravy, which she said was great.
We ended brunch with a round of French 75s. I loved the decor here - it gave the vibe that you were in your grandma's house for Sunday brunch. They also had a wall with photos of employee grandma's adorning it, and that truly warmed my heart.
