Betty's Burgers

Good place to go when your craving a really good burger while visiting Australia. Pricey, but so is everything in Sydney. Burgers were delicious, but kind of small....I guess I'm also used to the larger USA portions. Fries would have been great had they been seasoned, and chicken strips were nothing special. Enjoyed the outdoor seating, no problem with the birds even though appeared they are used to being fed.

Had an awesome experience at this great burger spot at Darling Harbour! The food was absolutely delicious—juicy, flavourful burgers and perfectly crispy fries and onion rings with Betty’s special sauce. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff really made the visit memorable. Special shout out to Giselle for her outstanding service—super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Definitely coming back!

I'm not a cartoon character, but a bird just knocked off my burger today. Fortunately, the kind folks at Betty's Burgers saw what happened and offered me a replacement burger! The burgers were good and tasted like Californian style burgers with smashed patties and fresh vegetables. Fries were nice and crisp with just enough of that earthy potato flavor. Overall, it's definitely worth a try if you're ever in the area! I would avoid the outdoor seating though 🐦

Ordered at the register and my food came out quickly and was hot. I ordered the kids combo and it was a large meal suitable for an adult lunch. The shade cloths made for a nice environment to sit and eat outside.

Giselle was our server she was amazing gave us great food recommendation . Great food and the atmosphere was fantastic 100% recommendation will be back

The food was, as always, absolutely amazing — nothing more to say there. But the birds keep trying to steal food, and it really takes away from the dining experience. It’s hard to focus on eating when im constantly watching out for them. I wonder if there’s any way to manage that better😢

I was served by a lovely young lady, Isabelle. She was so incredibly helpful with selecting menu items and made such great accommodations for my young vegan, gluten, dairy and sugar free children. She was also able to make the best thick shakes I’ve ever had in my life, I had to go for seconds! She was so kind to even take our rubbish for us and wiped table down before we sat. If anyone has the pleasure of being served by Isabelle at this Betty’s, you best be grateful!!

love this place and usually i take away and sit around there. and my favorite is shroom burger ❤️

I loved it here. After walking through Haymarket and only find Asian, Asian, Asian, I was so happy to find a normal burger place. One drawback for Yanks: They don't have mayonnaise. The burger and onion rings were good, like a classic burger. The milkshake was good, not too thick. The chill vibe was only interrupted by some rude Americans who thought it was ok to bring food they bought elsewhere, and take up a table at Betty's to eat it. They were delightfully and politely told to leave. The ladies work very hard to keep that place running harmoniously and I enjoyed it. Food is self pickup at the sound of a vibrator. Betty's is a MUCH needed spot in the harbor.

I was surprised how small the burgers were. If I have to pay $17 for a burger, I expect it to be huge, but this isn't the case here. The burgers here are baby-sized. Otherwise pretty decent.

Fast food burger which was fast and tasty. Had keto option (lettuce wrap instead of bun) but couldn't substitute salad for fries or onion rings.

I went to the location off of market Street. That was the best burger I've had in a long time. Closest thing to an American Smashburger that I found in Sydney service was on point and the onion rings were fantastic. Perfect place for a beer and a burger

Got 2 greasy chicken sandwiches, 1 order of onion rings, and 2 cups of water for $40. Asked for ketchup and they charged $1 for 2 tablespoons of ketchup. Water had no ice.... Luke warm.

Tasty burgers. I had the baked Betty's which comes without the bun. A tad messy to eat after a while but the patty was moist with lots of greens I expected the burger size to be bigger than it was though.

The food was sooooooooooooooooo good. The service from Maria was 5 star. I am really gonna miss this place when I head back home to the US. Thank you for making my trip to Sydney top tier.

Great burger chain! We had Betty's Classic and The Crispy Chicken. Both were fantastic especially with Betty's sauce (which is just ketchup/tomato, mayonnaise, and herbs)! The shakes are also a definite must have!

Betty's Burger is a copy of Shake Shack in the States, and they did somewhat right. Their burger menu has classic, crispy chicken, shroom, and stack....sounds familiar? lol I love the shake stack so had to go for Betty's stack. My husband ordered classic and onion rings. My burger is $16, his $10, onion rings $6 and they even charge $2 for a sauce and ketchup $1 :o Total of $34 for two burgers and onion rings. The bun was soft like shake shack, but minus the sweetness. They messed up the stack burger....for one, mushroom was waaaay too big and overkill. For two, the deep fried batter and crumbs were different from shake shack and was missing the cripsness. My husband loved his burger. I thought onion rings were pretty good, despite of costing $8 with sauce and small portioned. Their logo and interior is really different from Shake Shack and I really like it. It has a beachy decor and cute printing on their paper products. But they only gave two pieces of paper for our order and tiny cups for water...I am not sure if that's their way of being green or just cheap. It was more like 3.5 star for me, but if I had never have shake shack, would have been a better experience so I give it a four. I wish they would not charge so much for stuff like sauces and stop being so cheap on amenities. Nontheless they have good food.

Really good burger. Friendly service and pretty quick. Ingredient were fresh and the place was clean. What more can you ask for???

Good burgers. They're similar in style and taste to shake shack's burgers - smashed burger, buttered potato roll and leafy lettuce. You also can pick the style you like for the fries (big thick steak fries or skinny McDonald's style). Great place to stop in after a day at the beach or just when your craving a good burger!

Nice location and good food! A guy in the front was constantly got nag over to tables to clean up after people leaves, and then assign seating to people who are waiting in line. Very efficient. At crowded dinner time you may wait for food a bit longer, but it all worth the wait. We orders a side sauce with extra $$ but burgers were well seasoned so we really didn't need the sauce.

Yes Betty! During my last trip to Sydney we made it out to Betty's Burgers and for some reason I chose to be a vegetarian that night and you know what... I am so glad because their fried mushroom burger is super freaking delicious. Listen I don't know how much you really want me to say aside from the fact the burgers are delicious, the fries are delicious and even though I didn't have a shake, I saw that my friends were really enjoying their's. If I wasn't on another continent at the moment, I would be eating Betty's Burgers on the regular. Whether you live in Sydney or visiting Sydney, do yourself a favor and go get yourself a burger from Betty!

I was hoping this join bring flavour like "shake shack" familiar American burger taste to Sydney. Damn, bouy! I was wrong, man! This isn't what I expected. Me: can I get this pork Belly burger please? Server (Him): oh that's so good! Me: ok! With a smile ( and I was salivating picturing pork Belly in my tummy) Him: Would you like cheese with your burger? Chi-ching $1 extra .. Me: onion ring to go with that please Him: certainly... ( add $6), and sauce to go with that? Me: Betty special sauce please! chi-ching $2 extra .. Later on I found out that on this special sauce there is mayonnaise, ketchup and dash of Worcestershire sauce ... Him: any drink with that? Me: ehmmmm... dirty granny please ... Him: that would be $30 I was thinking .. damn, this s$#t better be good! I was wrong, buoy! 2 pieces of fried pork belly... 2 pieces man! And not even big piece, come on! That a bloody robbery! Burger was nice though, even portion of my pork were stingy! Onion ring was ok, Dirty granny was a big help to washed down the greasiness from the belly. Don't get me wrong, man.., dirty granny is Matilda Bay Australian Brew Apple cider! Will I come back? Hmmm.. not bloody sure!

Nothing better than sitting down in darling harbour with a nice burger and customizable desert, the food took a while to prepare (I had the basic cheeseburger with no tomatoes and some fries with a Krispy Kreme concrete) but overall it was a satisfying meal that I will always look forward too, especially since a new Bettys burgers have opened closer to me.

Great burger joint located in Darling Habour right next to Tumbalong Park. Burger I ordered was really juicy and savory -- the meat was grilled perfectly, the bun was pretty soft, and the sauce was amazing. Side of onion rings were pretty good -- battered very nicely, and quick a large portion. For AUD 16 a tad expensive but definitely worth the quality of the food.

I was soooo looking forward to Betty's opening in Sydney based on all the photos on instagram. I was hoping it would be like Shake Shack in the US. We came on a Friday night and managed to just beat the rush. Even though there were a lot of people the queue to order moved fairly quickly and the food came even quicker. We got a classic with an additional patty and pickles and a deluxe with an additional patty. We also got onion rings, fries, a chocolate peanut butter shake and a pecan concrete ordered to come after the meal. For some reason, my thickshake didn't come so I had to remind them about the order. I found the burgers disintegrated into a soggy mess a third of the way in and the beef patty didn't taste as good as other burger joints. The fries were ok and the onion rings were good but nothing extraordinary. The thickshake didn't really have a strong peanut taste. Overall, pretty disappointing. With so many burger joints in Sydney they have some stiff competition.

Having been to 2 of the Queensland locations I had hopes, however sometimes things get left behind when branching out. We visited on a busy Saturday day with the wife & baby. We were promptly showed to a table which they had prepared with enough room for the pram. Nice airy, location outside the ICC Exhibition Centre & just opposite the park. The food was great, juicy burgers with cloud soft buns, fresh lettuce & tomato. Chips were hot & crispy, and the garlic mayo dipping sauce is too damn good! The only minor issue we had was there were a couple of items that weren't brought out. However the staff were quick & attentive and promptly resolved this on the spot. To make up for any inconvenience, they even gave us a free concrete (like a sundae but better). All in all, I'm impressed with this Sydney location, the burgers are up there with the best of Sydney, the staff are friendly and great to see they have high standards in customer service. Looking forward to when their Manly store opens up in the new future, a bit closer to home & out of the hustle & hustle of Darling Harbour.

Well given I had to wait for 5 minutes for someone to take my order, with a number of serving staff noticing a few of us "loitering" at the cashier to order. Not one of them, however, came to help and we had chance down someone to let us order - almost walked out by that point. Almost seemed as if Betty really didn't want our business. The food was provided very quickly & was fresh and hot - chips were tasty and burger small but delicious. Very American taste. Would have been nice to have been given a napkin. Again staff failed to deliver. Really the service was the let down - and maybe "value" given the price and the size of the burger.

The burgers are the standout here. They're old school and tasty, though a touch too salty for my palate. The chips are satisfactory, the special sauce is interesting enough, and the thickshakes are decent. While I found the service friendly, the set-up is odd. They should have two queues going: one for dine in, another for take away.

Betty's Burgers salad dressin looks like drain water & tastes like the diluted soapy water after washing your dinner plate. Customer service staff mucking around outside the kitchen - took half an hour to get their attention on Sunday 13th June 3.30 PM Castle Hill NSW store. Salad was served with no dressing. McDonald's would have served 20 customers during the time it took Betty's Burgers Staff to bring a garden salad out. Onion rings were colder than a dead man's hand. Will never visit again! Money down the drain!

Cheap, yum, quick and pretty! This place ticks all the boxes for a quick lunch for me. There was a big line up but I wasn't waiting too long and I wasn't disappointed. It was a tasty, classic American burger with good chips on the side. Loved it. I didn't try the concrete, wasn't feeling adventurous today but seemed to be a popular choice too.

Nothing Special, walk-up order/self serve, chairs abysmal, Burgers decent, but Bettys is just another Burger gimmick, Grilld does a better job all around. @ Junction Location, Construction Site Adjacent Beware of Much Noise..!

I had (past tense) positive expectations for this place, it was disappointing. First of all, the service was really passive. They gave me a buzzer to pick up the food and when I did they said it would buzz again for the milkshake I ordered. I waited 20 more minutes as I ate my food and it did not buzz. So I went up to the counter and the cashier immediately handed me the shake, despite me being in close proximity to him and he never called out (there weren't many people that day). Second, the burger made was rushed. Where half the cheese in my burger wasn't melted and all the pickles were on one side. It wasn't well assembled. And the chicken just tasted dry. I wouldn't point this out if I was at a fast food place for a minimum price. But this place charges more than minimum Enjoyed the garlic mayo with fries, albeit a small serving. I hope this place improves, I'm looking forward to it.

Absolute fantastic! I love the burgers and sides and the ambiance is quite cute. The only thing I'd improve on is having the dietary options on the menu instead of having to ask for them. But overall it's one of my favourite places!

The burgers are really tasty, they seem to have their own taste. Also, try the onion rings, yum.

Such a cute little spot for lunch! The food was great and Olivia was an excellent server. Very pleasant atmosphere overall. I hope to come back if I'm ever in the area.

Tried this on a short trip to AUS and the crispy chicken sandwich is excellent! All white meat, fresh and juicy. I really think they do a wonderful job with it. They also serve their drinks in larger sizes which I appreciate.

Losing one star only becaus a bit pricey and they charge for condiments which I hate (it is Sydney though). The line is always long which intrugied me to try this place but I went on a quiet day and Alejo (employee) greeted me and showed me the menu and gave me honest recommendations and sat me. The staff was extremely friendly and the burger was soooo good. Definitely reccomend if you're willing to spend some money on a burger and great location to darling harbor. Thanks Alejo!!!!!

Great burgers for a decent price. The basic burger was salty and juicy. Had the strawberry thick shake and that was intense (in a good way). Are here with two kids (1 and 4) and they had a good time.

The service and food is solid. Although I didn't get the regular burger my party really enjoyed the burgers. I had the pork belly burger and that was great. The fries are average and the milkshakes were a little less thick than we expected.

We where in Darling Harbour and looking for a Burger place, and Betty's was recommend. Highly recommend the Schroom Burger fantastic!!

Went to the Manly location after a long day at the beach / happy hour. Didn't expect to be pleasured like that. Absolute fire burgers with cloud soft buns. And the sauces.... OH the sauces. I can't say enough about the sauces. Sriracha mayo and their signature sauce I would literally serve at my wedding. Would recommend to my worst enemy. Z

service took so long and i was starving because i had a salad for lunch! also it was my birthday!!
