"Beulings is a little gem full of atmosphere. Lisja offers guests a warm welcome, and is also in charge of the excellent wines, while Bas and his team create delicious meals in the open kitchen. They put a lot of effort into the preparation of their dishes, which are full of versatile textures and carefully thought-out flavours. A delightful experience!" - Michelin Inspector

Intimate Dining at Its Best Restaurant Beulings is a true hidden gem—run entirely by a single chef and a single server, both masters of their craft. The tasting menu is original, thoughtful, and beautifully executed, with inventive flavor combinations that surprise without overwhelming. The server has exceptional knowledge and pairs each course with insight and care. Her service is warm, unhurried, and personal. Yes, the tasting menu takes time—but every course is worth the wait. This is non-rushed dining at its finest: intimate, creative, and deeply satisfying.

One of the most unforgettable dining experiences of my life. This wasn’t just a meal—it was a full sensory journey. Every dish on the tasting menu was a masterpiece, crafted with precision, creativity, and deep respect for ingredients—many of which were either foraged or picked fresh from their own garden. You could taste the love and intention in every bite. But what truly elevated the evening was the service. The hostess wasn’t just warm and welcoming—she was a sommelier-level storyteller. Each wine she paired had its own backstory—details about the soil, the region, the winemakers—it was like tasting the land itself. Her pairings were spot-on and added a whole new layer to the experience. This wasn’t just dinner. It was art, it was story, it was connection. If you have the chance—go. Run. This place is pure magic.

We had a decent time but the bill at the end was a shock. We were asked to pay way more than we expected because our half wine arrangement was converted into full without discussion or information. The establishment should be mindful of how guests would be best served. Disappointing because we didn’t plan to spend as much as we had to in the end. Despite a decent experience I feel ripped off. There are better places at better prices.

Wonderful intimate restaurant which felt like you were being hosted in their home. We lost count of the number of superb courses within the taster menu - each a tasty surprise as it appeared on the table. Cumulatively it all added up to a lot of food. You must also go with the wine flight which was plentiful and extremely well paired with each course. Service was impeccable. A hugely enjoyable four hour experience. Would certainly recommend.

Our dining experience at Beulings celebrating my birthday was extraordinary. From the moment we stepped in, we were treated to a gastronomic journey that surpassed expectations. The set menu of five courses, accompanied by several amuse-bouche and focaccia bread, set the stage for a culinary adventure. Each dish was an ingenious combination of flavours, showcasing the best ingredients and culinary skill. The white asparagus, crunchy and fresh, paired perfectly with endive and grapefruit, leaving us delighted. The sensational duck course and the cheese selection, which took us on a journey of textures and flavours, were equally outstanding. However, what truly stood out was the wine pairing. Each wine came with its own story and twist, unexpectedly gorgeous and unusual. The white Portuguese wine, in particular, was ridiculously good. With only 5 tables, the cozy atmosphere next to the open kitchen allowed for direct contact with the chef, adding to the charm of the experience. The lady running the show was both our guide and friend, personable and attentive to every detail. At Beulings, you are welcomed into their front room and treated like a house guest. We spent the entire evening there, from 7 PM to 11:30 PM, savouring every moment. It was, without a doubt, the best meal and experience we've had in Amsterdam. A solid 10/10—fantastic in every aspect.

I saw the owner left a “💜” message. I just wanted to share a note that my now wife and i had the pleasure of this experience the day after we got engaged. This dinner is something we will cherish forever as we still talk about it as one of our favorite meal experiences ever. Kudos to the chef and staff for creating a memory that lasted a lifetime for me. I recommend it for everyone

I was lucky enough to find a table here when I walked by on a whim, looking for dinner during a one night stay. I chose selections from the tapas menu - calamari, bread, artichoke croquettes, iberico, accompanied with an abarino. This was more than enough but I so, so wish I'd had room for more! The iberico was very good but I feel like the house dishes far outshone it, and the staff and spot were both charming. What a gem, and I am so thrilled to have been lucky enough to find it.

Unbelievable experience. We went in with a plan of the 5 course and transitioned into the 7 course dinner. They also brought numerous transition plates in between the courses. The portions were just right. I also encourage the wine pairing or half glass pairings (if you are driving!!!!). They were very knowledgeable about the wines , the regions and more and they were truly a perfect pairing for each course. The service was also fantastic. One of my favorite restaurants in the world now!

Yelp
Beulings is a top restaurant in disguise. You won't find it if you don't know about it. And if you get lost in this street by chance, you wouldn't guess that this inconspicuous place literally is a hidden gem. After you took place, the waitress tells you what's on the daily changing menu. It's possible to order single courses but it's recommended to go for the 3 up to 7 course menu. With all the amuses the 4 course is enough, unless you're very very hungry. The staff is relaxed and they have no problem handling complicated course combinations (two of us ordered the 4 course with different dishes and two of them to share, one went for the 6 course). Most of the dishes are either a unusual combination of tasty, not everyday ingredients, and some are throughout daring, like the lime sorbet with avocado and eucalyptus foam. The laid-back atmosphere and the creative dishes make Beulings a very pleasant food adventure.

Yelp
This is a really special restaurant. Actually, it more accurately deserves the description of dining event. Seven courses, plus so many amuse that I lost count, plus wonderful friendly service makes for an unforgettable night. It's perfect for a really special date, or when your parents are visiting: not cheap but worth every penny.

Yelp
My husband and I just rented out the restaurant for our wedding dinner for 21 people. We made a great choice with Beulings - what a gem of a restaurant! The food is so creative and delicious and the service is impeccable. Every single course was tasty and our guests all commented on how great the restaurant was. They were also so accommodating and flexible with guests that had certain dietary restrictions. Thanks so much, Beulings, for a memorable, delicious and special meal! We will always return!
