Beverly Hills Design Institute has changed my life for the better. I've been a student at a few different schools offering degrees in fashion and this school is the best. They offer individualized degrees in pattern design and fashion design. Here, you'll learn the highest quality techniques and be given the skills and tools needed to be successful and feel ready to take on the fashion industry. Every person you meet here from the students and teachers to the administrators will offer you support, guidance and words to empower you. Everyone wants to see you succeed and they will do all that they can to make you successful. At this school you'll get the chance to observe a working couture designer. You'll get small classes where you're sure to get your time and money's worth. You'll have the opportunity to participate on special projects where you could be working to make beautiful clothing for some really big names and important people. If you're looking for a school where you will get all of the attention that you would need as a student, somewhere where you'll internalize the craft, somewhere where you can build a resume and learn, then you want to come to this school. There will never come a day where I'm not thankful for what this school has done for me and for the fashion community. They are hiring quality instructors, keeping class sizes small and providing an in-depth and submersive education.

Coming from a fashion school previously, I was excited about Academy of Couture Art. The material is great, the teachers are skillful and helpful, and the knowledge you develop here is incredible. It's small classes, max students 10 or 11, and for me it works because I can get more of a one on one with the teacher. It's a very creative school, and they help you get to your goal.

After graduating with an AA in Fashion Design from FIDM, I felt as if my education was still incomplete and began a search for a school that would deliver to me the high end technique of couture pattern, sewing, and design that I desired. I found the education that I was searching for at The Academy of Couture Art and have seen my skills and talents grow exponentially since I began here a year and a half ago. I have learned more and grown more than I ever expected from any institute. Because it is such a small school with small class sizes, the students are really able to get one-on-one help from all the faculty which you will not find anywhere else. The school is in a wonderful location that allows students to flourish within the high end market that we cater to. As someone who wants a career as a pattern designer, rather than fashion designer, ACA has been everything that I could of hoped for because they are one of the only schools that offers a BA in Pattern Design. I have learned so much since I have been here and can't wait for all that I will continue to learn so that I can have my dream career once I graduate.

I have been teaching trend forecasting at ACA for 7 years, the program being based on french fashion curriculum offers the best learning tools including technical skills, creative environment and strong academics. I have enjoyed the professional atmosphere the school has to offer making it a nurturing place for students and faculty alike.

This is the most amazing school. Mrs. Ete gives so much attention to each individual student, and loves her students all so much. She is so helpful and kind, and extremely knowledgable in design. One can learn endless amounts of information from her and from all the teachers at BHDI. This school focuses on couture which other schools do not. They have high end fashion classes, such as jewelry making and even lingerie. Your money would go the farthest at this school for sure. I am now working in fashion and I am very successful all because of this university. Thank you to all the staff there. My best wishes. :-) xxx

I am currently a senior attending the Academy of Couture Art for a BA in Fashion Design and BS in Pattern Design. I have earned an AA in Fashion Design from a different fashion trade school prior to ACA. From the first day of class, I INSTANTLY saw the difference of their high- end couture aesthetic that the other American Fashion Schools lack (FIDM, Academy of Art, Art Institute, etc). The pattern design program is impeccable and the student learns every curve of the body, and how to create nearly perfect patterns on the first try! Having worked in the industry for a short time after my first degree at a previous school... I couldn't believe that with ACA's pattern techniques you didn't need to do 5-8 fittings for the garment to fit right. The techniques you learn at this school are priceless. From flawless croquis to made to measure perfect fit garments! Prior to attending ACA, I had very limited confidence in my designs and pattern making skills. I was told at my previous school that I wasn't meant to be a designer... that is one of the most heartbreaking things to hear from a so called "mentor".. but the instructors at ACA changed that. They guided me and trained my eye to design timeless and elegant pieces, as well as draft and construct them. After 3 quarters into the program, I managed to make 2 wedding gowns within 3 months! There are even courses that teach you how to make avant garde accessories and embellish your own fabric. The instructors are very hands on and are ALWAYS available to help the student. Attending this school has been the best decision I've done to further my career to do what I love.

This is my second quarter at Beverly Hills Design Instiute and I am amazed at my progress. I have learned more in my first quarter here than my 3 yrs at another fashion school in San Francisco. This is not your average cookie cutter Fashion Design School. This is a Haute Couture design school literally preparing you for high quality and ethical fashion design!!!

Yelp
This school is truly a hidden gem. Im rating this school 5 stars because of its elevated curriculum, extremely supportive faculty and the one on one experience you cant get anywhere else. Mrs. Ete really takes you under her wing and trains you to understand the business/skills on a global level. If your ready to take your career to another level, I highly recommend.

Yelp
I've been a student at Beverly Hills Design Institute for two years and I can't tell you how much I learned. This is the best school to learn everything you need to know about Fashion. All the techniques are on point and perfect fit. Love it and recommend 100%

Yelp
I started BHDI in October of 2018 and am now in my second term of school. I'm currently in an associates program for Fashion Design and I'm really loving it so far! The school goes much more in depth with fashion design than other schools do and the classes are far more hands on as well. The classes are small and allow everyone to be seen, heard, and given an equal opportunity to receive special attention if needed in order to improve. The classes are also much more schedule friendly than most schools which is great as I am someone who gets very overwhelmed sometimes. Every staff member is really friendly and helpful and I'd even say the same for the students. I highly recommend giving BHDI a shot if you're into fashion!

Yelp
Mrs. Ete is one of the kindest people in the world. She has deep understanding of fashion and will definitely help you meet all of your fashion goals, and even more. She has been a mentor to me, and taught me so much. She has helped me perfect all of my designs and also helped me gain confidence as a designer and person. Thank you Mrs. Ete! You are a true angel from up above!! :-) xxx I also want to thank the rest of this staff. Mr. Ete, is also such a helpful and kind person. So is the rest of the staff. It is such a good environment. Again, thank you to all who work here.

Yelp
I started attending ACA Fall of 2013 after leaving The art institute of San Francisco January 2013, and I can honesty say that it was the best decision of my life. At AI I was disrespected and treated like everyone else. I was spoken to like a child and not as the young adult that I am. I had no since of identity as a student and as a designer. When I left AI I felt abused, sad and relived at the same time. Making my next move to another fashion school was more delicate now than it was before. I was a wounded lamb and couldn't trust anyone in a industry of lions. My first meeting at ACA Theirry and Soina Ete made me feel comfortable and welcomed. They spoke into my life as a hungry student and as a young Christian woman. They met me where I was mentally and emotionally so I didn't just see them as a institution but I saw them as people who had big dreams, lived them, and genuinely wanted to make sure every student that walks in their door lives their as well. To all future students, definitely take ACA into consideration, you will get a top notch education that you can only get overseas in a positive and loving environment, it will be the best decision of your life.

Yelp
This school is too expensive not many students in the classes i guess thats a good thing. But after 8 years they decided that students should have ID cards when they issued ID cards at all colleges, you need to use some common sense on how to handle and manage a business. Overrall i guess you can judge the school by attending and not by comments. if we say top school and putting down all the schools in Newyork and even the number one community college. By saying that a college that has over 30 years is copying your style. You might be just ignorant to believe that. They will take all the money possible from your pockets, hey be my guest if you want to join the club

Yelp
Honestly I didn't know much about this place until I went for a visit. The owners are the kindest people you'll ever meet and they genuinely want you to succeed. They really work with you whether it's financially or educationally. The owners will literally pay for your parking if they see you can't afford it. Not only that but this school doesn't produce the same type of creative artist they actually allow you to express your creativity. You are not forced to draw your fashion designs by one standard. Of course they teach you the standards but they allow you to really flourish. The fashion world needs people who are different not people who can push out the same work as everyone else. They encourage you to do your best as an individual. They tell you what the industry is looking for since they are part of it. This is what makes this school so special. I wish I would have stayed there but I chose a different path.

Yelp
Mrs. Ete is one of the best teachers that I have ever had the privilege to work with. She helps you and gives you so much attention and is so nurturing. She does not play favorites with any student. She truly loves all of her students, as the angel she is, and wants everyone to do well and succeed. You get what you pay for because every student truly receives so much attention from each teacher that works there. They are geared towards high end couture clothing and design, fit for today's demand in the market for fashion. She is a kind, and patient teacher, who helped me learn so very much. You truly get what you pay for at this school. Being a private school, you pay more, but you get more for your money. That truly applies to this school and staff. My talent has grown, and now I am working in the industry that I so love. All my thanks to Mrs. Ete, and all the staff at Beverly Hills Design Institute. Best wishes to all there! xxx
