Downgraded this rating after a year or so of membership for several reasons:
1. I was prompted to TIP after Botox last time I went. Seriously!? Here's a tip: Whether it's aesthetic medicine or another type of medicine, doctors or nurses and their practices should not be requesting tips. Any reputable medical professional would NEVER ask for, nor accept, a tip. Strange and so tacky.
2. Lack of financial/accounting transparency: I was a club member so that is a monthly auto-bill situation. Without constantly asking them for info about what you were charged and what your balance is, you have no way to ensure your treatments are being deducted correctly. I had to track it on my own and often asked for a receipt which they said they didn't know how to print (really???). This simple request for a receipt and my balance always seemed like it was a pain for them which was uncomfortable and frankly, I just don't understand. I finally contacted a manager and she emailed me a bunch of attachments with receipts but the whole thing is weirdly disorganized and not what you'd want for a company you've trusted to store your payment info and automatically charge you hundreds of dollars each month. They should send an email automatically every time your card is charged that shows what was charged, any deductions for services you used that month and your balance. This seems like a pretty standard thing to do for companies that regularly bill you when there is no way to log in and see those things. At the VERY least they could provide a printed receipt after each visit with your deductions and current balance. And guess what: They DID make a math error in my account (which I pointed out and to their credit, they apologized for and fixed), so current members should really ask! Most times when I asked about my balance and charges they'd say vague things like "there's plenty in there still" and then I'd have to press them: OK, how much? It was tedious. For a chain/franchise, you'd think they'd invest in software that helps with this and makes it simple. All of this almost make it seem like they want customers/patients to be in the dark about what they're services cost and their account balance.
3. I did a series of laser treatments and it made zero difference. In fact I think my skin looked worse-- despite following all the pre and post directions and no sun. Bad equipment? User error? No idea. I know there's no guarantees for this kind of thing, but they take photos each time you come in so it seems like maybe someone should review those once in a while and notice if whatever they're doing isn't working so they can recommend a change in course. When I mentioned this after my last round they didn't skip a beat and tried to sell me VI peels without even really acknowledging what I said.
It's not all bad: The location and decor is clean and modern. Their Botox services were effective, and their as their hydra facial, while overpriced, is relaxing and gets your skin nice and glow-y.
Overall- this place is just not worth the hassle in an area where you have lots of choices. I'll be going back to my dermatologist for future Botox and I know he won't be asking for a tip.
