Bap and Chicken, St. Paul’s Korean Fried Chicken Spot, Is Shutting Down, and More Restaurant Closings - Eater Twin Cities

"Bev’s Wine Bar, which first opened in the North Loop in 1995, is closing. Bev’s bore witness to waves of change in the North Loop in its 28-year run, as the neighborhood’s transition from a commercial warehouse district and arts center to a restaurant-dense residential area accelerated, but it never lost its laid-back charm." - Justine Jones

The Best Wine Bars in Minneapolis and St. Paul - Eater Twin Cities

"With downtown views and a cozy atmosphere, Bev’s has been open since 1995. Offering a blend of modern and traditional wine choices, this is a great casual spot to grab a glass before a show at First Avenue (or even a game at Target Field)." - Justine Jones, Katy Spratte Joyce

Fun location and patio. I expected more wine options from a wine bar, but I did enjoy the glass I ordered.

This is a cute, quaint, unassuming place. Great night to meet a friend or have a date. Wine list is not huge, but prices are really reasonable with a house white/red starting at $6 a glass and their most expensive glass hovers just under $10. They also have small bites - almonds, olives, baguette, and a limited selection of pizza. Go when the weather is nice and they have an outdoor patio area. Looking forward to going back!

An awesome place to go late at night for a quiet date or some good conversation. The staff make an effort to get to know you and to make sure your needs are met, but also not to bother you. They make it feel like a real corner wine bar. The snacks that they offer go well with their beers and wines, and usually disappear pretty quickly once they hit the table. The place is dimly lit, and not super loud. It's a quiet intimate place to go and to get to know someone or a group better.

Great spot! I loved the very chill vibe. The prices weren't bad either. Not much for food options, just some snacks and appetizers but it's a wine bar, so you get the wine and atmosphere. They had some DJs playing records that was really cool too! I think one of them was named Phil Dumka?

Love Bev's. Same owner as Moose & Sadie's (Peter). Great wine selection, a few decent beer options and some appetizers. The food is a little expensive, but really, you're there for the wine. Great place to stop before a Twins game.

The waiter was not very welcoming and looked like we were kinda bothering him by being there. That said the wine was amazing and the brie was delicious. It's a very dark place, which isn't necessarily a con but just be aware of it.

Bev's is a great place to meet friends for a drink and light snacks. It's charming and a little hidden, so you'll feel like you've found something special, yet it's also close enough to the ballpark to be a nice place to stop before or after a game.

Extremely quiet on a Saturday night. Staff was pretty cold/uninviting and didn’t offer any guidance or suggestion on wine. For a wine bar the wine by the glass selection was also very limited.
