"For now, Be’Wiched Deli at 800 Washington Avenue North and, the original chef-owned sandwich shop, home of the iconic pastrami has closed. Let that news sink in, sandwich fans. That empty ache where the smokey meats go is what the future could feel like." - Joy Summers

Pastrami was absolutely delicious. It's not heavy like you would expect. Rye bread is light and soft, the meat melts in your mouth. The whole grain mustard and pickled cabbage ends the ensemble with a nice vinegar punch. Update: If you are looking for something lighter, the veggie burger was the best I've ever tasted. Highly recommend!

The food is great, smoked turkey is my favorite so far. The romaine salad is great too. They are very slow and everyone seems to have tunnel vision when you order ahead, but once you get the food it is enjoyable. The price is very high, but considering the sandwiches seems to be made to order and fresh, it is worth it for a good lunch. If you call ahead 10 minutes means 25. Update: They have greatly reduced the meat on their sandwiches, it isn't as good as before, the price seems less worth it now.

The vegetarian burger is the best burger I have had to date. Food is very good quality and presented as such. People may complain about the small portions of the sides but they are unique, delicious and filling if you take the time to enjoy your food rather than stuff your face.

I recently visited this deli with a friend because I had heard good things and it was in the neighborhood. Entering the establishment, the place is clean and well put together. The service we received however warm, was painfully slow. We waited for nearly twenty minutes for two sandwiches when there was no one else in the restaurant. To top it off, there were six or more people behind the counter working.... In the end, if you want a quick lunch, this isn't the place by far. I don't know if the wait is worth the price.

I've ordered from Be'Wiched several times for work and they have been reliable and delicious! They deliver punctually, love the fact they're locally -owned, and they even go the extra mile to call and double-check your order if they aren't completely sure! Will continue ordering from here for sure. Loved the savory breakfast platter.

Solid sandwiches. They are quality ingredients that make a good sandwich not some chain place like potbelly its fresh and good. Price is higher than most for a sandwich. The meat is good but I have had it a little dry. when busy service is lacking.

Yes the pastrami sami is amazing, and their service is slow when the restaurant appears quiet. Went for the famous brunch today at 11a (they were supposed to open at 10) and the door was locked. A young woman let us in and explained that they were filling a huge catering order and “didn’t really have any food on the brunch line.” The music was blaring as they were cleaning up, and they offered to make us something quick to go. This after paying for parking. We left. Last trip to Be’Wiched. They should close their deli and stick to catering, as running a restaurant IS NOT their thing.

I would not consider this place anything special. The sandwich options are very interesting and sound delicious. Their bread is a little harder than I personally enjoy. But, the ingredients are good. But, if you factor in the price points, this place is not really worth the time.
