The 11 Best Salads In London That Will Bring You Joy - London - The Infatuation

"Bewliehill, off Upper Street, has something LA about it, with its comfortable pastel tones and fondness of green smoothies. The salad bowls change depending on the season, swapping kale and rocket for brown rice and feta, or a red cabbage base with celeriac and a sesame dressing, and you can add an egg or some chicken if you fancy. It isn’t reinventing the bowl but it is a freshly made, light salad with a good balance of flavours, that’s ready within five minutes—and London isn’t exactly swimming in these options." - heidi lauth beasley, daisy meager, sinead cranna, jake missing, rianne shlebak

Bewliehill Angel - Review - Angel - London - The Infatuation

"The Islington Square development off Upper Street is one of those shimmering conservatories that can be found all over London. Come here if you need a forearm-sized Microplane, something from APC, to eat popcorn horizontally or, if you fancy a very pleasant salad bowl from Bewliehill. photo credit: Jake Missing This breakfast and lunch spot has something LA about it, with its comfortable pastel tones and fondness of green smoothies. The salad bowls change depending on the season, swapping kale and rocket for brown rice and feta, or a red cabbage base with celeriac and a sesame dressing, and you can add an egg or some chicken if you fancy. It isn’t reinventing the bowl but it is a freshly made, light salad with a good balance of flavours, that’s ready within five minutes—and London isn’t exactly swimming in these options. Food Rundown House Bowl The signature bowl is a fibre-packed mix of quinoa, kale, dukka, carrot, roast squash, pickled onions, dressing, and a smear of hummus. It’s a nicely balanced salad that requires minimal chewing and makes you feel like a fully paid-up subscriber to Goop. Bowl 3 This autumnal bowl mixes chopped savoy cabbage, walnut pieces, feta, brown rice, roasted squash, a subtle caramelised onion hummus, and a lemon and sage dressing. It’s green, crunchy, and tastes like something we’d enjoy eating on a weekly basis." - Jake Missing

Generous portion of food! Fresh and flavorsome. Staff are great and environment is quiet and calming. I added chicken to my bowl for extra £3 and they were generous with that too. Finally found somewhere in London where you're not ripped off. Highly recommend

Staff were lovely, portion was decent, but I found it to be so bland! Often go to salad bowl places, like pick your own and Atis, so it’s not that I don’t like a salad bowl! Maybe I picked the wrong one, but the dressing just tasted like nothing, went home and added in capers, lemon, pomegranate seeds and olives for a bit of extra kick! However I thought the price point for the amount was good, particularly on the added meat, which was a generous amount.

Had a salad bowl (14) with chicken. Tasty, fresh and throughly enjoyed. Good portion size as well and I finished the leftover later. Friendly staff, lovely clean design and ambience which makes for a calming place to sit and eat in if one wants to step away from the office for lunch.

Re: 05.11.2024 after the shop replied. Thank you for getting back to me but you can see clearly that £3.60 was charged instead of £3.20 on the large display menu £3.20 for dine-in. Hopefully, this can be amended for future customers soon. It used to be one of my favourite places around the area. Today I had a horrible experience, extra chicken was charged at a higher price comparing to what’s shown on the menu and staff was giving me an attitude when I asked about it. Also the order was missing the higher priced chicken ironically. After I requested for the missing chicken, what I got was what’s shown on the photo comparing to other 5 star reviews’ full bowl of chicken. I won’t come back again for a very long time. Very sad that I was treated this way. 😣

A lovely spot for a nutritious breakfast/lunch. Very well priced for Islington. Great service, atmosphere & menu options - especially if you’re a fan of rhubarb! Good coffee & will definitely be back for a smoothie 🥤

Really simple, healthy, and feel good salads and smoothies. A no frills down to earth salad bar/stop with a changing menu. We tried bowl 13 and bowl 15, as well as the summer berry and chocolate smoothie. Everything about this place is just delightful and so refreshing!

Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 What a find. Hidden gem. This was a lunch highlight of the week. Something so simple, yet so perfectly balanced and delicious. I had the House Bowl and added chicken. It was just the perfect amount and combination of everything. The dressing perfectly acidic and tangy, the nutty crunch added and blended with the flavor (sometimes the some nuts can ruins a salad), chicken was juicy, and the pickled onions were a highlight. Honestly wouldn’t make any changes. The price does equal quality and value. New favorite. Already looking forward to being back.

I tried and enjoyed their House Bircher Muesli with Apple, Yogurt, and Cinnamon; it was satisfying and flavourful. I returned to try a Salad Bowl with Hummus which was so good I'm still thinking about it. I had a coffee and Carrot, Apple Juice and Ginger drink and those were also excellent. The interiors are clean, calm and contemporary. You'll find a couple of seats outside. I would highly recommend if you want healthy food that tastes amazing. I wrote an article for my blog because it was so good. I wish there was one of these on Bermondsey Street, it would do well there! Enjoy.
