"A whole new concept from Geisel Private Hotels, this small hotel combines luxury and a "home from home". This was an incredible hotel in the heart of Munich. The rooms with a view are beautiful. The room itself was clean and well maintained. Services were spectacular and food was delicious. Staff was attentive and helpful in every request. I have absolutely nothing negative to say.

What a perfect hotel for us to usher in the new year! The hotel was wonderful but the service of their personnel made it truly special. They were so kind and cared so much for our comfort and well being. Such hospitality and personal care you don’t often find. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting exceptional comfort and care!

I felt pampered from arrival, and I appreciated the welcome, comfort, and location of the hotel. Only twenty or so rooms, with comfortable spaces for breakfast and other meals and views of the Marienplatz and Alter Peter. I was there at Christmas and enjoyed the Christmas Market and the sprinkling of snow.

Beautiful hotel and even better service! We stayed here during our honeymoon with a view of the Christmas tree and market below. It was absolutely magical! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every wish. I’m convinced there is no better place to stay in Munich! Stunning!

Enjoyed our stay here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathroom were large by European standards. Right in the Marienplatz so perfect for the Christmas markets. The only downside is there are about 4 clock towers that ring every hour from 7am - 11pm which caught us off guard at first but by the second night we really never noticed them. Rooms are quiet so don’t hear any of the crowd down below. We enjoyed it and would stay again.

The Beyond is a fabulous small hotel with a fantastic location. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Its well worth the price and I wouldn’t stay any where else when visiting Munich.

You won’t find a room with a better view of Marienplatz. It’s a boutique hotel with some quirks, like no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, so you need to pay extra for any hot beverages. In room minibar is free which I guess is a compensation but in winter it would be nice to just boil the kettle for a cup of tea in you room without having to call room service.

Good reviews everywhere however upon arrival the entrance did not exactly look imposing! Located on the 5th Floor (lift & stairs) the actual hotel entrance was better however not exactly 5* compared to big chains. As usual passports were required however I found it disconcerting that they also wanted to keep my credit card during the check in process (I declined). Described as “luxury boutique” with 19 rooms. Ours was a very nice room, great central location overlooking the old town hall, good for shopping / sightseeing etc. In room mini bar was nothing much, comfortable bed / linen, nice shower / bath (junior suite), decent soundproofing. Good sized TV (BBC / Sky). Decent working desk, library, nibbles available too. Our room was up a stairway (disabled access??). There was no magnifying vanity mirror in the bathroom (the hotel website states there is a makeup mirror provided. My wife asked for one however it never arrived). Overall the location is great, room size was good but you have to question whether it really is 5*; not at all bad but for the money it’s questionable.
