Good reviews everywhere however upon arrival the entrance did not exactly look imposing! Located on the 5th Floor (lift & stairs) the actual hotel entrance was better however not exactly 5* compared to big chains. As usual passports were required however I found it disconcerting that they also wanted to keep my credit card during the check in process (I declined). Described as “luxury boutique” with 19 rooms. Ours was a very nice room, great central location overlooking the old town hall, good for shopping / sightseeing etc. In room mini bar was nothing much, comfortable bed / linen, nice shower / bath (junior suite), decent soundproofing. Good sized TV (BBC / Sky). Decent working desk, library, nibbles available too. Our room was up a stairway (disabled access??). There was no magnifying vanity mirror in the bathroom (the hotel website states there is a makeup mirror provided. My wife asked for one however it never arrived). Overall the location is great, room size was good but you have to question whether it really is 5*; not at all bad but for the money it’s questionable.

Perfect!! We loved EVERYTHING about Beyond by Geisel! The location is the best in the city! We walked everywhere! The rooms were spacious, clean and the view of the Glockenspiel was unmatched!! The staff was also very helpful and friendly! Breakfast each morning was delicious as well!! We will definitely stay here when we visit Munich again!!

Booked months in advance and still received a room with limited view. Elevators: Arrived and could not get up. Told we were in the wrong elevator, yet that’s the closest to the hotel reception. At Checkin staff advised snacks and coffee/tea were complimentary. At Checkout, charged for them. Breakfast is a joke at Euro 40 and laughable for what they offer. The bed is one of the worst ever, too soft and my back pain is incredible. Reasonable location, but for two night, protests. Not a quiet hotel. Some staff lack imagination and common sense. Car parking is Euro 45 per night. It’s not free, you pay that. So factor the parking in if you choose this hotel. I will not be staying here again.

Karin and Clara were fabulous. The rooms and views were amazing. The wine and snacks in the afternoon after we had been exploring all day were very welcome as we watched the show of the Glockenspiel. They stored our luggage for us on the last day so we could spend the day in the city without worrying about it and then set up car service for us to the airport. The rooms were clean and comfortable. A wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful hotel with very comfortable beds and modern touches. Definitely a hotel for couples as they only have rooms with single beds and no door for the bathroom/shower. The view of Marienplatz from the lounge area is great, the larger rooms have that great view as well. Our room was on the side and the windows did not offer the best view as they were a bit high, but other than that I had no complaints. Beds are comfortably and AC worked well. The service is very friendly and accommodating. We did not eat breakfast here so I can’t comment on the food, but it did look like a lot of care went into food preparation. Definitely recommend staying here for a centrally located hotel with a unique feel.

What an amazing place to stay! Centrally located right near Marienplatz, friendly and helpful staff, and great rooms and amenities. Jana was so helpful when we arrived straight off our international flight at 7:00 am and everyone made us feel so welcome. My teenagers loved it, we loved watching the Glockenspiel through the open windows and we were sad to leave everyone behind after a week there. My family and I highly recommend!

You could not find a better hotel in Munich. It is in the heart of the old town area, and with a view of the glockenspiel! Everything is within walking distance. The staff are kind, and so helpful! The rooms are so cool. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Everything is top notch!

Beyond by Geisel was a mixed result for us on our first night in Munich for our honeymoon. 1. The staff/service was impeccable. I couldn't speak more highly of both of the receptionists/concierges we met. They were helpful, pleasant and helped us plan out our first night. They also stored our bags while we made our first short day trip the next morning. 2. The location is amazing and as you can see based on our pictures the room itself was pretty and the views were spectacular. You are centered right in the middle of the old city and we enjoyed local cuisine and exploring. 3. The room itself let us down. At the time of our arrival, Munich was warmer than 90F and our room was cool. As we came back from dinner our AC stopped working correctly and was making a horrible noise. I cycled it, turned it down and up to no avail. Eventually I did let the night time receptionist/concierge know there was an issue. Unfortunately she felt as helpless as we did in not being able to rectify the situation. The room became quite uncomfortable, to the point we opened both sliding doors to our shared patio in hopes of getting a breeze. Of course the issue with this was the general noise of the city and excessive noise of the local restaurants/bars cleaning up their patios between 2-3 am. Needless to say we only were able to squeeze in a few hours of sleep . In review, if our rooms climate control was able to keep our room comfortably cool this would have been a 5/5 review. Perhaps our bad luck..
