Beyond Juicery + Eatery

My first visit to this location. Good smoothies. Didn’t get cooked food, so no comment there. Smoothie was made quick with fresh ingredients. Taste was on point. Service was quick and professional. Would go again.

I’m dissatisfied with the service I received 12/4/24. I’m not sure if it’s because the afternoon rush or just poor communication/customer service skills. I initially ordered breakfast grilled cheese and was told that was unavailable. N/P I then asked for a regular grilled cheese w/ tomato soup & Alive smoothie with Half Banana. I waited over 30 minutes to receive my order. The smoothie was not blended well b/c the ice was so crunchy. So one of the employees told me that since I got a half banana that is the reason why. And she then suggested I get half cup of ice. I order the same smoothie w/ half banana often and never had any issues until NOW! So I politely asked the barista to remake the smoothie w/ half banana and half ice as the other employee suggested. NOW LOOK the picture on the left is what is received. WHAT the F is that !? I had to get to work so I said forget it and left. I threw away the smoothie it was disgusting. I received my grilled cheese w/ tomatoes no side of tomato soup. One of the barista asked me if I wanted to add anything to my smoothie since I only had half banana and the young lady working the cash register told me and the barista accommodations can not be made. This was clearly miscommunication, no accommodation's or customer service provided. I’m a server so I know how to handle situations like this and I would never allow a customer leave unhappy and dissatisfied.

I rarely leave bad reviews but this is probably the 10th time I’ve been disappointed by Beyond across all locations in Detroit. I ordered an acai bowl from the Russell location because the picture made it look so amazing only to be disappointed by an incredibly small portion size that was too frozen to eat. For the price I expected more volume of the actual acai puree. While the smoothies I’ve had are normally always good, in the past I’ve had soupy wraps and mediocre salads. It’s never terrible, just always a little disappointing especially when the marketing photos make everything look so good. Staff was nice and the location is clean and nice.

Had stopped at the location over by Wayne state but they were unfortunately closed even though google did show them being open. However the food, smoothies and service here were great so still glad we made the trip. Was a little bit more expensive then I would of imagined but then again there was 2 adults and 3 kids.. everything turned out really good though I will for sure be back!!

I was really disappointed with my experience at Beyond Juicery Eastern Market. The atmosphere was terrible—uninviting and not at all what I expected. Nobody greeted me when I walked in, which felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. To make matters worse, the person at the register stayed on their phone the entire time and didn’t even acknowledge me. It felt like I was inconveniencing them just by being there. Customer service should be a priority, but clearly, it’s not here. I won’t be coming back. Would you like to add anything else?

T was amazing! She recommend great options off the menu and was patient with her service! I will definitely be back! The prices however are really high for a wrap and a smoothie but the experience was very smooth.

The service on Grand Blvd in Detroit in disgusting. They should close the place down. It's always dirty with trash on the floor. And they hire young people with no training. My smoothie was like water with none of the add ons I paid for. I would never recommend that place to anybody. Then when you go out to Dearborn it's clean and the service is better. But why? I swear I want my money back. Never in a thousand years have I experience service so bad.

Stopped in here before class for the first time and it did not disappoint! I got the Crunchberry smoothie and it's hands down one of the best smoothies I've ever had. I highly recommend Beyond Juicery + Eatery!

I would NEVER pay $20 for a smoothie until I tried the smoothie here. OMG they had small samples at the entry and as soon as I tried it I was hooked. I don't know exactly how many ingredients were in it but it was packed with vitamins and extra wellness items that you don't even taste (like spirulina which isn't that tasty). I had also ordered a mocha banana coffee like smoothie that contained caffeine and that I could drink daily. If you question the price don't these smoothies are NOT small...but the flavors amazing. They make them fresh to order so you know you're getting all the fresh nutrients. Definitely stopping by every time I am in town.

I've been ordering beyond for a while and noticed this location was close to where I was working for the day. Some how the officer that ordered after me had his food made immediately and the door dasher who came in.. however I've never had a bad beyond smoothie before but this was chunky. Huge pieces of ice, unblended fruit. I wish I had tried it while I was still there. It didn't taste anything like the island surge. The color isn't even quite right.

Today is the official first day of summer 2022 in Detroit. It is 98° outside and I wanted a smoothie to keep cool. I ordered a peanut butter mocha which taste so well because I've had it at another location b4. Today was no great at all. Taste like i was drinking a watered down beverage. It was soupy. No flavor at all. Im sadden. This is the 2nd smoothie that I didn't care for at the west grand blvd location. Sucks; i was really looking forward to my smoothie.

For this place to have been closed due to the wall collapsing a few years ago, you would think they would come back better! I walked in today for the first time since the collapsed, I work in Eastern market. One person making all the food never turns around to even say hi to me, yet alone let me know that she Will be with me as soon as she can. It took 3 to 5 minutes for someone else to come out for her to walk out completely pass me go all the way down to where DoorDash food is and talk to someone waiting there. Mind you, another lady approached her and said she was quoted 20 minutes for her food, but she had been there for 40 minutes. Finally the woman greets me and says it's going to be a long wait for food. I said I just want to drink. Place my order, they did the same thing to the lady that was behind me. No one speaks no one greets anyone, it's so ridiculous. The customer service here is disgusting. I hate this is a part of Eastern market

Smoothies were tasty got the banana peanut butter smoothie was alright taste and consistency wise. Ordered the Greek veggie wrap, this wrap makes no sense never had a Greek salad with spicy asparagus on it it would be better with classic banana peppers for a spicy bite. The whole time I was eating this I was thinking what in the heck is burning my throat it's the spicy asparagus. I mean in what world do you put asparagus on a Greek salad? And the side of salsa that comes along with the wrap never once have I asked for extra salsa with my Greek salad very strange.

It hard to get there Rewards like that 2-5pm 4.99 or buy one get one free online it's almost impossible you need to take a class

I thought this was a good option at the Eastern Market. Walking around on a Saturday for hours the kids get hungry and thirsty. As we finally made our way over here, one kid ate through the market and needed a smoothie to wash it down, and the other had not had a meal yet, so a smoothie bowl was a great option! It is a nice space near Germack nuts. It was a nice place to rest after shopping too. The smoothie was a mango blend, it was made well. The smoothie bowl was also very tasty. The kids are into the bowls lately so it was nice to find this option.

A cold smoothie sounded good on this balmy Saturday by the eastern market. I got my favorite Carla's detox and my hubby got his usual favorite here, the banana nut with PB. The entrance is small and only allows for two guests at a time to maintain 6 feet apart. No entry beyond the front area. We ordered the Carla's detox and the banana nut with PB. Wait outside and a staff member brings it out to you based on the name given. Good thing it's not raining at all. There's some loud music on the adjacent corner, makes it feel like a street club scene here on Russell street. There's nowhere to sit or stand and wait, should at least put out a few patio seats in case people want to sit for a spell, especially when there's a nice breeze and some shading right out front too. Juices don't taste too bad, still a bit chunky for my detox but generally the same flavor as any other beyond juice. The banana nut tastes the same as any of the other locations.

Delicious. Wrap was kind of crushed in carton but very tasty Recommend. Smoothly was top notch

Healthy good tasting options with very pleasant and attentive staff. I love the wraps and the new apple crisp is my favorite in the fall. I highly Reccomended if you're looking for good food and don't want to feel bad later about what you ate. Super allergy centric as well! Ray

If you find yourself at Eastern Market and want a better-for-you lunch, stop into Beyond Juicery + Eatery. Service may be cold and the smell a little off, but the salads they create are good. You can make your own or order one of their creations. Having a sweet tooth, I ordered the strawberry and almond salad. It comes in a recyclable bowl with each ingredient in its own corner. It's up to you to mix it. The advantage of this is the dressing comes in a little container so you can regulate how much you use!

I love their smoothies. They are always fresh and consistent. I've got my coworkers addicted to their smoothies as well. We order multiple time a week! The customer service is outstanding as well. Personally I like them better than tropical smoothie.

You have to stop into Beyond in Eastern Market on a gorgeous day. Nothing pairs with sunshine quite like a delicious juice or smoothie. I was able to concoct my own 'build your own' juice to get just the right combination of flavors that I was craving. If freestyling isn't your thing, Beyond features a menu of pre-selected juice and smoothie blends for you to choose from. All drinks on the menu are relatively low in calories but still high impact on taste. We didn't have the opportunity to try the food items, but I'm looking forward to grabbing one of those fancy green wraps next time I stop in. Clean space, friendly staff, great views of Eastern Market. What more can I ask for?

Y'all online service suck. Every time I go to ordering my raw juice it kicks me out and I have to start over. Then when I finally get my order in and go to checkout it kicks me out again. I'm done dealing with y'all's online service. Someone needs to fix this issue. I just want to order my raw juice then pick it up when I arrive. I don't want to come in and place an order then wait. Wish y'all could do better

Ordered a $12 açaí bowl expecting the bowl to be filled at least halfway, but instead got, and I'm not kidding when I say, 1 and a half centimeter of sorbet (AKA the smoothie/açaí). When the worker handed me my order, she spoke rudely and aggressively, complaining about me not hearing her call me over the unreasonably loud music. Would definitely not come here.

Overpriced and just plain in my opinion. Maybe I'm spoiled being from Cali and basically living off of superfood byo smoothies lol. I'll have to give this place another try sometime.

It pains me to write this as my last experience here was remembered very positively so I went out of my way to make certain I returned during my next Detroit trip. With their awesome location in the Eastern Market neighborhood, clean space and healthy menu, they have a lot of great things going for them. -they forgot to make the acai bowl we ordered and it ended up not being received until 25 minutes later -The ratio of staff to customers made the slow and unenthusisastic service even more disappointing (more staff than customers in the store yet there didn't seem to be a hustle/zest in the air given the heavy staffing -the Fuego Huevo egg white spinach wrap had great flavor but needed to be toasted longer - none of the shredded cheese was melted -it's odd how old I feel writing this but their menu is super hard to read from the counter and it turns out they don't even have it displayed on the boards that they offer acai bowls which seems like an odd business move given how popular these are right now

Parking: plenty of free parking around It is very cute inside. Lots of outlets to work on laptop. Lots of seating. Booths in the back & stools in the front. Food: got one of the bowls & one wrap for $19. Excellent quality. They were VERY VERY good. Only complaint was the price. Very vegetarian friendly as well. Highly recommend if you're looking for a healthier meal & dont want to cook.

A must stop place when visiting Eastern Market. We always stop here to grab a smoothie before we shop. Service is always stellar

Although the experience started out fine with our order being taken, it all went downhill from there. When my salad was ready, the worker got frustrated when I couldn't hear her over the loud music and was rude when handing me the food. What was worst was the açaí bowl. One bowl costs 12 dollars but we got a sample size of açaí that was so frozen and did not taste fresh one bit. Overall bad experience.

Stopped by on a Thursday afternoon for lunch and had a great experience and the prices are great. They offer a variety of food and drink including fresh juices, smoothies, wraps, salads, sandwiches, and quinoa bowls. I had a smoothie and a wrap so I can discuss those in the most details. Most of the smoothies range from $5.50-$7, which for the size and the quality is great. I had the Sunrise (Strawberry, Banana, Orange Juice, Coconut H20, Lime, Honey, Vanilla) and it was $5.50 for a HUGE portion (it seriously lasted me all day). I also got the turkey avocado wrap (turkey with sliced tomatoes, romaine, muenster cheese, avocado and hummus) on a spinach wrap and the portion was huge for a mere $8.50. Snacks and things vary from housemade (sesame bars, quick breads, etc) to lots of locally made items like Better Made chips, Yumbitz cookies, etc. The space is bright and airy and located right in the heart of Eastern Market and the service was SO nice. Very chatty and generous (we got samples of several juices, sesame bars, and a little slice of a lemon poppy seed quick bread). Beyond is expanding throughout Metro-Detroit (with 5 locations and counting) and I'm so happy to see them succeed. It's a great concept with fantastic, healthy food, wrapped up in a friendly, local supporting environment. Just the kind of business I want to support!

Lots of fresh smoothies, juices and simple food options - great new addition to EM area and good hours for the location as well! This is a popular chain in Metro Detroit area with prices similar to other juice and smoothie bars - a bit pricey for me to stop daily but if they had a "Frequent Customer" card or program then I could definitely see myself taking advantage of it. That said, I will always chose a place (and therefore pay more) that uses real ingredients rather than a place that uses fake fruit flavored powder, like the many bubble tea "shake" places. I got a 20 oz ANNA smoothie (gotta go with a namesake!) for $6, made of blueberries, coconut water, strawberry, banana, lime, PB, honey, and vanilla. 20 oz is huge and it was a delicious, refreshing, drink with just the right amount of sweetness. I also wanted to try one of their juices so got the "Bold and Balanced" [16 oz juice for $9] made of collards, grapefruit, apple, kale, spinach, and ginger. I had it the next day after my yoga class (I know, so hipster!) and it was a perfect "pick me up" after a sweaty workout. Juices probably have more raw and expensive ingredients, but at this price point, they would be more of a special occasion for me. To compare, I did pick up a V8 "green machine" drink at the supermarket the next weekend, and it did not have the same sweetness or smoothness of Beyond's juice! A lot of the food options are things that I create for myself at home. Oatmeal bowls, egg white wraps, and salads, so for me, the value of buying it outside is not there....however as they transition to the fall and maybe have some warm weather options like soups, that would be great too! Welcome to the neighborhood! Love the later hours after work too; will definitely be back en route from home to get a yummy post-workout protein smoothie!

Not a fan. I am trying to eat healthier and saw this as an option on Door Dash, So I ordered the green machine juice and a cilantro chicken wrap. The juice I tried really hard to like but it was disgusting. The sandwich was okay but nothing special. If I do try this place again, I will try a smoothie.

Came around one and had a deliciously fresh veggie wrap and yummy spinach mango smoothie in less than 10 minutes. Beyond Juicery + Eatery will be added to my regular lunch spot list for sure. If your looking for a healthy option for a quick grab and go- this is it!

I'm upset because I ordered my smoothie and I specifically pressed no tip because I wanted to give cash. The cashier told me what my total was but only said the subtotal. she asked if I wanted my receipt I said yes and when I looked at it the total was different because it added a tip! I don't understand the purpose of asking if you want to add a tip if it's automatically adding one. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

Horrible service, since some of the staff left. Wait time is ridiculous, online orders aren't made in advance so you have to wait when you get there smh.

Parking can be difficult but there are a lot of street options. I came in before a workout. I ordered a mango tango smoothie and the gentleman gave me a poppy seed bread snack. It was sooo good. It was moist with alittle sweetness. My smoothie was freshly made and tasted absolutely great. It was refreshing and not to overpowering. It needed more mango. It was 6.50 which I don't make eating out a whole hobby so I would say it's worth 4.50. Great place, nice music, I didn't try the food because that's extremely overpriced.

(Historically) great wraps and smoothies for a reasonable price. Please ensure employees' HAIR is properly covered. We found a hair in a chicken wrap, and are hoping this is not a sign of declining quality control. This is one of our favorite fast casual, healthy dining spots in Detroit and we're hoping it will stick around!

**This reviews the fall menu! Wow their fall menu items and their flavors are BEYOND me, it fits their name. My family and I got the carrot ginger soup, maple bacon turkey wrap, and autumn bowl. We went overboard with ordering almost everything that was fall featured but that's what we were craving. It makes for a good review though. I HIGHLY recommend the carrot ginger soup. At first, I really didn't think I was going to like it because I'm not a carrot fan but boy was I wrong! They let me sample it before buying and even that one taste test I was surprised! I was so blown away by the carrot ginger soup I didn't want to share it with my family haha. It almost had that Indian spice to it and full of creamy textures almost like tomato soup but carroty if that's even a word. The basil topped it off. The maple bacon turkey wrap was just as healthily great hands down! It's so much better when it's toasted and with the spinach tortilla wrap too. The autumn bowl and the mango coconut smoothie did not disappoint either. Everything was just beautifully made, it's like a glorified tropical smoothie cafe but 100x better. If I lived here I would definitely come back after a workout at the gym because everything is so healthy and nutritious. Bottom line - Get the carrot ginger soup off their fall menu for the love of all things healthy.

My new favorite place to stop by after a workout! So glad I finally made it here, I've been missing out since August! I liked the Citrus Circuit (grapefruit is a must for me so for those who don't like the taste of it, it's not that overpowering and bitter) and that avocado turkey wrap. Yum. Will be returning everyday. PS - you can totally split a wrap with a friend, it's a good size.

I've become a regular at this spot, particularly because its located right in the heart of Eastern Market. I easily find parking because there is so many options, including street parking and a lot directly across the street. I love that they offer so many fresh options and delicious drinks. I typically try a different smoothie every time I go, but I have not tried out their food yet. I would say my favorite so far is The Boss. I can't say the service is the friendliest, so I took away a star, but I do like their drinks, so I try to look past it. Value wise, I would say smoothie prices are on target with other places in the area. A large smoothie, as is, is around $7. I ordered fresh celery juice for the first time and was a little taken aback by the $10 price tag, but it tasted okay. Overall, I will continue to frequent this place throughout the summer when I am in the mood for a refreshing drink!

I've been a fan of Beyond Juice for awhile now, as I typically go to the Birmingham location. This is a nice healthy addition to Eastern Market. The space is large and bright as well. The menu is standard, loads of smoothies, fresh juices and a few food items such as salads and sandwiches to chose from. On my visit I had Anna's smoothie with no banana. The girl working the register struggled to hear my order because between the music and the ongoing blenders it was very loud in there. As a result she didn't hear the no banana part. So as I watched them make my smoothie and put in banana I had to let them know. The girls making the smoothie were very nice and had no issue starting over. Second attempt was perfect and delicious.

First, as a resident of Eastern Market, I appreciate their extended hours compared to neighboring businesses. I also love that there is a healthy, fast choice available. Their menu is very forward about what you're actually getting/the nutrition you'll get from the products. Unlike large chains filled with sugary drinks disguised as healthy, the juice and salads here are good for you - and you'd think you were getting a REAL treat (by my standards...I have a major sweet tough!). This place has actually been really great for me because if I'm craving something sugary, I'll come and get a fresh, refreshing grapefruit juice with some natural sugars instead of something processed. It's a great snack. Only one star less because I feel like some of the prices could be a little better.

I've eaten here many times and the food is always fresh and quick. Usually I get the razzle dazzle smoothie and add a green apple for an extra tart kick. The avocado turkey wrap is to die for. It's my go to sandwich. For the smoothie and wrap I paid $18. It's a little on the pricey side but I don't mind because all off the ingredients are fresh and delicious.

We ordered ahead online and our food was ready exactly on time. That seems to be pretty rare these days so I was pretty happy. 4/5 stars just cause it felt a bit pricey for the amount of food we got. Everything tasted great though.

Beyond Juicery & Eatery is the spot to go to in the Eastern Market. Everything is made fresh to order. They are also accommodating if you need anything upgraded or done to your beverage/meal they will take care of you. I am a big fan of the following smoothie the Detox, Dimmer, Banana Nut, and the Skinny Dip. Overall, you are in for a treat. Grand customer service all the way.

acai bowl is terrible. It's very slimy, has a very strong banana flavor... not very refreshing. Granola on top is soggy and sugary. Smoothie is pretty good.

I had the turkey avocado wrap. It was a nice size and tasted really good. It came with some sort of marinara sauce which added to the flavor. My delivery was early which was fine. I'd definitely try more things on the menu in the future.

I was introduced to Beyond by my stylist who is far more health conscious than I. He'd ordered a juice and asked if I wanted one. Unsure of what to order, I replicated his order, Green Machine. I was ill prepared for the taste of it but intrigued to learn more about their offerings as I better my eating habits. I've since enjoyed several of their smoothies, infused lemonades, and wraps. My current favorites are the Cilantro Chicken on Spinach wrap, add feta, and extra avocado and the infused lemonade with strawberries.

Eventually, I drank Total Energy (strawberry and banana)! On second thought, I'm probably get me salad because it is wholesome food in Eastern Market.

I frequent this location a lot as I work in the area. I usually have no issues but I've noticed that the shorter black girl with long curly hair never has a pleasant look on her face And seems extremely unapproachable. Today while waiting behind a woman with a long order, she walked up to the other available register. So I go over to it and start to place my order. She cuts me off and tells me that the other worker can assist me. She then proceeded to stand there and make a face. When I picked up my juice and started to walk away, she made a comment to the young lady who handed it to me and all I heard was 'she...'. It felt as if she was commenting about me. Food is good, service is usually great but this little experience today bothered me just a bit.

I noticed this place one day when I went to Eastern Market and I had been wanting to try it out for a few weeks now. I finally stepped in today and the staff was nice. I ordered the Prescott bowl and Rasberry lemonade. I must say I enjoyed it very much! It's nice to find places that offer healthier food/drinks. The only downside about todays visit was the wait time to recieve the food. It took too long for the food to come out and there were only like 3 other customers there. Overall, I will come back to try out more of their menu items !

My boyfriend ordered the peanut butter mocha smoothie and I ordered the Pookie's smoothie. Both very great but the peanut butter mocha definitely won. This smoothie & juice bar is located in. Looking forward to trying more healthy juices & smoothies from here in 2022

Incredible. The only smoothie I've found that I didn't make at home that doesn't taste like only bananas. The Northern Berry is perfect. The huevo fuego wrap is so so food, even warmed up the next day. Really into this place. Close to work, a good amount of food for the money. Beyond makes me happy.

Great establishment! I love each and every visit.....the staff is friendly. The offerings are healthy and affordable. There is a lot to choose from, I'm far from a hard core juicer or smoothie king but they make me feel comfortable each time I visit. It also helps that it's located in the heart of eastern market.

Hipster spot near Eastern Market to grab a healthy salad bowl, wrap, or smoothie. Two of us got salad bowls (hummus/beet and something Asian with tofu), and both were very tasty. Good value too! Both were less than $10. They really layer on the veggies, chop them up, and lay them out in very pretty bowls. It was a very nice alternative to the street food sandwiches you get for lunch at the nearby market.
