Beyond the Plate Food Tours

This was one of the most lovely experiences I’ve ever had the pleasure of attending! We toured Jersey City having a little bit of food and some amazing drinks at each stop! I will not reveal where we went, but, our hostess Alessia is always mixing it up anyway! Constantly changing locations and restaurants so you are never bored. But let me just say I had an absolutely amazing time trying some delicious food at places I had never been! I also appreciated a little bit of history we got at every stop! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves Jersey city or wants to experience it!

I had no idea what to expect when I booked a Beyond the Plate Food Tour. Alessia was amazing to work with from start to finish. She helped to plan an amazing day for a bachelorette party. Our tour guide Kyle was phenomenal and we even asked him to hang out with us after our tour bar hopping! This was such an experience and something everyone needs to try. The food and restaurants were 5 ⭐️. I would do this again in a heart beat. I contacted Alessia sharing about the undergraduate course that focuses on women in the food industries. She did an amazing job at curating a customized tour of women-run and owned establishments in Jersey City for my students! My students had such an amazing time sampling food and learned so much from the different chefs and owners. One of my students told me it was one of the highlights of her college experience and another said she was reconsidering her career path because she felt so inspired by these women. Alessia was patient, flexible, and accommodating along every step of planning. It was such a great experience!

We had a great food tour in Somerville NJ. Our tour guide was knoweldgeable about the area and food. All the food was wonderful and pairings of wine, beer and cider were perfect. I would 100% recommend to all!

We attended a Beyond the Plate Food Tour in Red Bank on October 19, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our tour guide was Elena and she did a great job. She was very attentive and informative about the town and the food we shared. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to sample a town's cuisine, try new food and meet new people. We did food tour with Beyond Plates as part of a Bachelorette outing. Our group enjoyed it so much. We ate so much delicious food! By the time we made it to gringos tacos we could barely eat anything else and wanted to go into a food coma. I'm a local to the area but a lot of the girls in the group it was their first time exploring JC. It was nice to get some of the historical facts and to just explore the area in a different way. If you are looking for something different and to get a flavor of the area this is IT!. Even if you are a local. Our tour guide, Kyle was amazing and very knowledgeable of the area.
