As a part of our motorcycle tour with Hoi An Motorbike Adventures, our stay at the Bho Hoong Bungalows was an absolute highlight of our month in Vietnam. Located in the CoTu ethnic minority village, we would never have found or traveled to this village on our own, and it was special and unique among all the other places we stayed in Vietnam. The bungalows and the village experience are perfect for anyone searching for an escape from the mainstream tourist path. We feel we would have missed out on the ‘real Vietnam’ if we hadn’t come here.||The gorgeous bungalows on stilts are nicely updated and modern, with great amenities: hot showers, wifi, and a bar at the main building. The dinner the villagers prepared for us was off-the-charts delicious, with lots of variety. The serene natural setting allowed for relaxation after a day of riding (we went for a swim in a secluded spot down the river and it was wonderful) and an intimate cultural experience. The gardens are beautiful with banana trees everywhere. The CoTu people are warm, welcoming, curious, and happy to teach you about their cultural traditions. We really enjoyed manager Ms. Tinh, whom I had a long and interesting conversation with. ||We highly recommend this for all travelers seeking a unique cultural experience in a beautiful serene location. It will truly stand out among all the places you go in Vietnam!|

We stayed 1 night as part of a motorbike tour. Our stilt hut was large and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely clean fresh linen and towels. The bathroom was well fitted out, 2 sinks and a storage cupboard. Water pressure was good, and the water was hot. We enjoyed walking around the village with Pai, the manager and saying hello to some of the villagers. We sat and had a drink on the main hut's balcony while watching the locals play volleyball and football. Dinner was served in the community hut, we sat on the floor and ate, food was delicious. Afterwards some of the older men in traditional dress and a young couple came in and played music and sang. It was a lovely short stay that have us an insight into the way of life of the Co Tu people.

A night in a traditional village is always great but what to expect.||Well first the welcome was great and the bungalow is very clean and even the bed was great. Sleeping here is was like a meditation. ||We met many people from the village, Dinh was our guide and the only one who can speak english and she welcomes you like a friend They make a traditional dinner for you.||I asked to help with the cooking to see how they live.||And later we were invited for a drink and a snack(pig ears) ||They also can do a traditional dance/performance if you like you need to book it

Viet (CoTu would-have-been English teacher) was the best guide I’ve ever had, ever. Selfless, enthusiastic, and funny. Also loved being the only tourist. ||But was NOT a particularly quiet meditative experience. Bungalows right next to main road. Since the entire village apparently knows the WiFi password, slow connection at night. Karaoke before 6a, so don’t expect to sleep in! Also be prepared to grapple with your tourist privilege as your hosts live in poverty, as well as to feel a bit like you’re walking thru a zoo (looking into private houses etc). ||4.5 very long, stressful hours from Hoi An by loud, dirty, dusty, fumey Jeep (including skippable Cham temple and other stops thru driver, who generally seemed to be annoyed by requests for photo stops). I almost skipped the weaving just to avoid another hour RT in Jeep (and more expenses), but was impressed by loomless weaving (much more interesting and fun than archery). 1.5 hrs to Danang airport without any stops (arriving 30 min early), even though better weather for pics. After skipping lunch, apparently could not stop for food, leaving me to scrounge airport’s very limited overpriced offerings. ||This was also by far my most expensive 36 hrs in Vietnam. Try to do as much as you can with/thru the village itself instead of thru travel agency/hotel. Bungalows apparently affiliated with Hoi An Chic hotel, which I cancelled for comparable family run hotel for fraction of HAC price. Odd and curious that driver asked me how much I was paying for their services. Apparently there’s a public bus to/from Danang (at least) and there are a couple of village-run homestays in Bho Hoong and Droong villages, if you’re able to finagle advance arrangements.

we stayed 1 night here with our 3 boys aged 17 - 21. We were a little worried it could have been really naff, but in fact it was amazing! the bungalows were very comfortable (even wifi), the dinner in the evening was delicious, and then the village put on a display of their music, song and dance which we all joined in with. Absolutely magical!

It's not just about the bungalows (really comfortable), but about visiting and honoring the Co Tu people and heritage. Talking with them and spend a day exchange experiences was amazing and I think everyone should experience it when visiting Central Vietnam.

Temporarily closed!! Don't believe the other reviews, they are referring to the village in general and not to the accommodation itself. We got here at midnight and found that bungalows are closed since COVID. There is nice Homestay near by check it out.
