Ordered catering for a group of 25. Very easy to order via online. Great communication throughout. The delivery guy was fantastic and was also in text communication. They even included a menu for display. Food received rave reviews from the crowd. Order consisted of appetizers, bread rolls, pasta, chicken, fish, salad, and dessert.

Picked up an order from buy right about a week ago went in picked it up order was ready boxed up ready to go good place if you want something from catering give it a shot you'll be surprised

This review is for the stellar customer service team. I ordered meal kits for my family's Christmas dinner this year and had a few hiccups with my delivery. Not only was the Customer Service team helpful and kind, they even sent a hand written apology note when they re-delivered my missing item. Honestly above and beyond what most would do. Their food is always incredible too. Thanks for saving our Christmas dinner!

Had a very positive experience with Bi-Rite catering! Not only did they deliver right on time, but they had so many delicious food items to choose from. The best thing is that they help the community! I work for a non-profit in San Francisco and they were able to donate for our hard working volunteers. We are very thankful and plan to keep ordering from them in the future.

We used Bi-Rite for a holiday get together. We needed some apps that was a bit more than cheese and crackers. They have the perfect plan in the Happy Hour Appetizer menu for 15-20 people. There was more than enough food with food leftover for that amount. We also added in an additional flatbread pizza. The team enjoyed all the food.

Bi-rite catering saved me a huge hassle. It was my first attempt at putting together a political fundraiser. A breakfast Time meet and greet. The site for the service is well organized making it easy to put something together. And, wow oh wow, Bi-rite keeps in touch and delivers exactly on the specified time. And of course the food was great. So happy with this place. Will order from them again and again.

I had Bi-rite catering for my wedding and my experience was awesome! They were on time, they were very helpful and the food was delicious! I requested some vegan dishes and they adjusted without a problem! Price was great and awesome quality! I would definitely order from them again!

Bi-Rite Catering has been providing both delicious dishes and excellent service to our company for more then two years now. They cater for our seminar four times a year with an attendance of about 100. This team is a pleasure to work with and the overall experience is five star. They are very responsive, accommodating, helpful, thoughtful and they use eco-friendly plating and utensils. I feel like they are always one step ahead of me which has been really fantastic. On day 1 of our seminar Addy, one of the caterers, checked in with me right away offering to have the staff serve everyone so we could eliminate everyone touching the serving utensils - which is perfect given the coronavirus situation. The food is delicious. They accommodate everyone including "Jan" who is vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, carnivore, dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, egg-free and doesn't like texture. Just kidding but seriously they have our dietary restrictions covered which is very helpful. We love them so much that we sign our contracts for the year instead of for each conference. Hellz yeah! Ok so I'm really into that gas station fried chicken on van ness but I wanted really nice delicious sides to go with it - stuffing gravy mashed potatoes -- THE WORKS!! Oh yeah and it's Christmas and I hate to cook. These guys hooked me all the way up. The person from Bi Rite who dropped it off - Lis? - was incredibly nice. One of our guests at our holidayfest is a caterer by trade and he was like - this mac and cheese is terrific (it is) and I know them to be very nice people (they are!). Gonna go 5 stars here because it was real god.

I just used Bi-Rite Catering for my daughter's birthday party this past Sunday at a park. The cost was worth not stressing over preparing food or ordering the typical kid's party pizza. We were able to provide guests with healthy, tasty, and gluten-feee options. I did all of the ordering online 9 days before the party and the confirmation allowed for changes including cancellation up to two days before the party. I called a couple of days before the party to ensure I ordered enough for 48 guests and the addition of the salad was suggested. Our food was delivered on time and within the time slot I chose. All of the food was well covered (see pic) and well-presented in recyclable platters and containers. I was given a holder for the napkins, but not the comparable flatware which was fine because I had my own. With my delivery I was given an envelope with the final receipt and food cards which included ingredients in the back. These were the items we ordered: Mushroom flatbread Pomegranate-marinated chicken skewers Ham & Cheese Finger sandwiches Mixed-greens with stone fruit Mixed focaccia finger sandwiches (turkey & roast beef) All of the items were delicious and perfect for a party or picnic at the park. The only thing was the bread on the ham and cheese sandwiches started to get toasty from being out in the sun, but that's normal with sliced bread. My husband and I plan to use Bi-Rite for future events.

A couple months ago, I was faced with an Office Manager Situation. I had a well-liked VP leaving the company who loves pots de creme and we wanted to send him out happy. How much does he love pots de creme? He would take new hires and clients to only one restaurant as they served the best ones he'd ever had. I looked everywhere until remembering Bi-Rite caters and sure enough, there were mini jars (how cute is that) of not just chocolate pots de creme but salted caramel and I think a passionfruit. Not only did he leave happy, everyone in the company was raving (and fighting over the 5 we had leftover to take home). It was one of those Office Manager as Heroine moments. Not only perfect for him, but tasty and the delivery was a breeze. I will absolutely add Bi Rite to my go-to list for lunches and desserts in the office. And I thank them for being the solution to the pots de creme situation.

Wanted to impress our leadership team while also pressed for time. Bi-Rite did the trick! Food was delicious and was pleasantly presented. I really appreciated the little placards included with ingredients--saved me a lot of time in catering to folks' different dietary needs and communicating any allergy needs.

This is not a review on the food, but just the process of receiving a quote. Can I give half a star? I had asked for a quote back in April(over one month ago) and after receiving emails saying they were interested in catering for my wedding and would be providing me a quote shortly--I still have yet to receive it. It had almost been 5 weeks now. I had even spoken to someone on the phone about the details of the event and followed up a couple times via email, and each time I was told that I would be getting a quote soon. I understand that people are busy and a wedding for them is probably an every day thing, but for those not in the business a wedding is the biggest deal, and brides spend lots of time researching vendors. It would have just been nice to know that they wouldn't be able to accommodate my wedding from the beginning instead of waiting weeks just to find out no one would be sending information. I'm glad to hear other people had a great experience with Bi-Rite Catering. I won't be using them for anything.

Recently used Bi-Rite Catering for on of my events. So much potential but had some hits/misses with them: -Customer Service: awesome and friendly everyone I've interacted w/ (5 stars) -Responsiveness: really mixed - it took me 2 emails, a voicemail and even after putting in an order, the first gal never put it in the system for later retrieval. Would highly recommend looking into a better system here (2 stars) -Food Delivery: on time no issues at all! (5 stars) -Food taste: really mixed - I was surprised it was just okay. We ordered mushroom tartlettes - which were not really tasty, chicken tenders (dry) and sandos (so much bread not enough taste) (2.5 stars)

BEST CATERING FOOD COMPANY EVER. Seriously, I had this company cater for my wedding cocktail hour. Very professional and the food was DELICIOUS. Look no further... 10/10 will use again.

So the caterers we originally had planned for our office turkey day lunch cancelled on us but recommended this place. Let me say - MEH!!! The brussel sprouts are so bad, the cranberry sauce is as bad, the stuffing is soggy, and the gravy looks like some sort of grey liquid. The mashed potatoes are decent, haven't tried my piece of pecan pie yet....keeping my fingers crossed. Very disappointed.....

I recently used Bi-Rite catering for my sister's birthday and thought everything from the whole ordering process leading up to the getting food was really great! The individual who helped with my order, Ralph, was responsive and communicative and the delivery was on-time/seamless. Once the party began, the Kale and Cabbage Salad, Crabcakes, and Ancho Chile Chicken Skewers were hits of the night! Overall had a positive experience with Bi-Rite catering and would recommend to a friend :)

Extremely extremely disappointing, I was looking forward to working with this catering company. Unfortunately I wasn't worth their time. Emailing Catherine the catering associate was a nightmare. Emailed Friday for a tasting no response, called today (WED) no return phone call. Emailed today her response it's a busy month I'm sorry slow about responding to emails. Mind you this I'm flying back in forth for tastings from Las Vegas. I tried to set up 2 separate tastings unsuccessfully with calls and emails. Having to harass her. I simply do not have time for nonsense catering companies. My wedding is the most important day of my life!

Bi-Rite catered my wedding in September and I couldn't be happier with their work. We did a few tastings when choosing a caterer, and while with other vendors we had a tough choice, for catering, Bi-Rite was a no-brainer. Their food was way more delicious than anything else we tried, it was local and sustainable, it was price competitive, and the staff was darling and caring. I had a fairly good idea of what I wanted for the meal and Bi-Rite was able to take my vision and amplify it. Instead of choosing from a list of boring options, I was able to design my wedding meal from scratch. The staff had great ideas on what ingredients should be included based on seasonality. We emailed back and forth a lot in the time leading up to the wedding and it seemed like no request went unanswered - from wine and beverage suggestions to the latest update on wild salmon availability. Food is a really important party of my life and I wanted the meal at my wedding to represent that; Michael and the Bi-Rite catering team understood this and delivered. The meal was memorable and delicious. I even had one friend who had decided to become a vegetarian right before the wedding indulge in meat for the last time at my wedding because it was so delicious and tempting. I'm not sure how I ended up with it, but in the wee hours of the morning, I broke into a Bi-Rite take home bag filled with treats for us newlyweds. It was the perfect foodie ending to an incredible day.

Bi-Rite catered my son's bday party this weekend and the food & cake were delicious! The service from planning to delivery were also top notch, deserving of the 5 stars. Would definitely have Bi-Rite be my go to catering spot for future events.

I recently worked with Bi-Rite to cater a company picnic. They were fantastic. The food was delicious, staff was courteous, and best of all, we came out under-budget! My favorites from our order: 1) Focaccia Finger Sandwiches: Grass-fed Roast Beef & Cheddar Cheese 2) Brie with Fig &Olive Tapenade Mini Acme Baguette Sandwiches 3) Hodo Soy Beanery Tofu and Black Rice Salad with Pea Sprouts, Edamame and a Ginger-Rice Wine Vinaigrette 4) Golden Beet Salad with Radishes and Chile-Cilantro Vinaigrette Because some of these items are seasonal, I gulped down 2 plates of it before the next season...

I was hosting a rooftop event about 20 people. I didn't want the hassle of preparing food so I reached out to Bi-Rite. I have used them in the past for corporate catering. The process was super easy. I sent an email with the event details, and they responded quickly with a proposed menu based on the theme, and number of people. The day of the event, the food was delivered right on time, with everything I needed including label cards with ingredient information. They really are pros and take the hard work out of hosting parties!!

We had an event at the SF Main Library and a reception before the event/ I called Bi Rite Catering for sandwiches. They answered all my questions before my ordering. On the day of the event, they delivered the beautiful sandwiches. They were labeled for the chicken or veggie. They brought, napkins, small plates everything! Everybody loved the sandwiches!! And kept going back for more. We ordered more than enough. They kept asking me where did they come from. I had several people who wanted to telephone number of Bi Rite. I wish I could give them ten or twenty stars! I will be using them again it saves me tons of work

I used Bi-Rite Catering for a holiday party my company had. I have NEVER had such a wonderful experience! So nice, always available for questions and explained everything....so easy! The experience was so perfect and the food was delicious! I will use them every time I need a caterer. Love love love them!

We used Bi-Rite Catering for my baby shower last weekend and they were so awesome to work with! We wanted to have staff and nice food presentation but weren't willing to spend the $125+ per person that several other caterers quoted us. We worked with Cat who got us a quote within 24 hours and helped advise on portion sizes so we didn't order too much or little. The staff they sent day of were also really wonderful, they helped with additional setup and packed up all leftovers for us (even stuff they didn't provide, like cupcakes). Food was also really tasty! Would highly recommend, especially if you're on a budget.

Recently used Bi-Rite Catering for my design event for the first time. What I loved the most was that you can order online, reasonable pricing, transparency and detailed customer service. I'll definitely use their service again!

Could not have been LESS helpful. The executive level management at my company was having a special event. Since we are located in the city, we figured we would support a local business. I made an order using the online system. Two days later, I still had not received a call or email confirmation. I called the catering line directly and it took at least 10 minutes to look up my order. Then, the woman said that the time I requested (8:30am on a Monday) was too early and I need to choose something else to order. I asked for a recommendation since I was not by a computer and do not have the menu. She told me she can not make a recommendation and I should look up the menu and call back. Needless to say. I didn't call back and we will go elsewhere. I told management about the terrible service so no one will ever use them again.

This review is only for wedding catering. When I called BiRite Catering on April 2014, they told me that they only accept online catering request form. I had submitted their online catering request form. After many attempt to speak to a person, they told me everything needs to be done via email. I assumed it was because they wanted to track all conversation. August 2014, 2months before my wedding, Michael called me and told me that BiRite misquoted me about a few thing and price went up significantly. Michael apologized and said he could not do anything about it. It was too late for me to find another caterer. On my wedding, they brought something different from what I ordered. When I confirmed with Michael he again apologized and said there is nothing he can do about it since the guest has consumed already. I really hope no other bride has to go through this again. As for good part, BiRite server and event manager of the day was very nice. The guest has said good things about the food. If it was for something like work events, BiRIte catering may have worked, but not on special occasion.

Great for Corporate Catering! I use Bi-Rite Catering for my office lunches and they are always on time. Although, you have to place your order 48 hours in advance, the delivery is ALWAYS on time! Food and variety is great, nice packaging so you can just take off the tops and serve, and the service is always prompt! Would definitely recommend for all types of events!

I have worked with Bi-Rite on three occasions--my office's 50 anniversary party with 300 guests, an annual office party of 125 people and a reception at a professional event with 250 attendees. First, Bi-Rite staff are a real pleasure to work with. They are very knowledgeable about wine, food and cocktails, how to lay out the room to work best for your guests, who to bring in for music, flowers, specialty rentals or whatever your event requires. They respect your time during the planning phases and keep you updated with cost quotes that reflect any changes you may make as the plan progresses. Second, Bi-Rite's food itself is fantastic. They only use locally grown organic produce and meat products grown with sustainable, humane farming practices. Then their kitchen transforms these quality ingredients into remarkable dishes that bring rave reviews from your guests about the food they've just eaten. The same high marks apply to the staff that proposes wine and spirits for the event. They have the knowledge to make just the right selection to fit your budget and the food you are serving. Finally, Bi-Rite's on site staff during events are totally awesome. They are efficient, unobtrusive and professional. I can actually relax and enjoy the event without worries knowing that Bi-Rite's Event Manager has things under control. So why do I keep going back to Bi-Rite? Because I know they will make the event a stellar success, and they will make me look good. Try working with them yourself some time. You won't regret it.

I love Bi-Rite. They did a great job at our wedding, but they were pricey. The food is about 25% of the total bill. Rentals are another 25%. Labor is around 30%. As another reviewer said, the price jumped up on us too. It went up 10%, two weeks before the event. In the end we ended up paying around $150/person. That being said, they did a *great* job at the wedding. The food was great and the staff was polite and attentive. All our guests really loved the food, and we thought Bi-Rite reflected our values very well: simple, delicious, wholesome.

Bi-Rite recently made my event planning team and I look like heroes, so I must tout this recent triumph. We ordered around 25 quarts of all the finest flavors for an ice cream social (we had beer too; ice cream and beer are the long lost cousins of PB & J, betcha didn't know that). and hot dang it was a good idea. Additionally, in the selfish department: I have never actually been to the creamery. (Tales of the long snaking line have reached my ears). So, having large amounts of many Bi-Rite ice cream flavors brought to me gave me an opportunity to check out the bandwagon itself. The delivery was perfectly on time -- almost as perfect as the flavor splosion that is honey lavender. I knew I wanted to try it given the unusual flavor, and it was like licking the perfume counter that Aphrodite had recently spilled her new perfume on because she was startled by a honey bee that accidentally dropped a prize honeycomb on. Straight tasty licks. The catering / planning process was just as smooth and tasty as the rest of the flavors I managed to try. I was even able to order the scoops necessary to serve this cream mountain -- I bought 15 of them. The catering department made this ice cream dream easily attainable, and I highly recommend that you take advantage of the delicious sorcery that is delivery Bi-Rite ice cream.

I recently attended a wedding catered by Bi-Rite. It was a garden wedding, about 200 people, and all I can say is the food felt not like a caterer but like I was eating out at a nice San Francisco restaurant. After cocktail hour (loved the signature cocktails they served!) complete with oyster bar, we sat down for the meal, which was served family style. Loved that approach, the catering staff brought out platters for each table to share, so we all were able to have lots of what we wanted and skip what we weren't interested in, without the lines of a buffet setup! Amazing burrata and heirloom tomato salad (this was September in the Bay Area), succulent lamb, awesome bread basket. I also felt that the service style of the catering staff was on the money without being overly formal. My friend (the bride) apparently had lots of people come up to her and tell her they'd never had better food at a wedding!

We just got married in August 2011 and hired Bi-Rite Catering for our wedding reception party. Having sampled menus from several other caterers, we were blown away by the quality of Bi-Rite's offerings (from the slow roasted porchetta with summer fruit mostardo to the melon and tomato salad with goat feta, arugula, basil and balsamic vinaigrette to the local cheese and charcuterie station). And we still stayed within our budget (one legit income + one law student on federal loans)! Michael was particularly responsive throughout the process, and Susan and her team were superb at making our reception run seamlessly. Everyone on their team was super nice, very professional, and actually seemed to enjoy themselves. Many of our guests went out of their way to tell us that our buffet menu was the best wedding food they'd ever had. They went out of their way to make sure we were fed -- which for all of you planning weddings -- is a huge perk. They even packed a bag of goodies for us to devour after the reception was over. We would recommend Bi-Rite for the quality of their food, professionalism, and can-do attitude (which not all caterers offer). Thank you, Bi-Rite!!

Bi-Rite Catering provided the food for my small 20 guest wedding today. I couldn't believe how good the food was, the very reasonable prices, and how beautifully everything was plated and delivered. Delivery was on time, set up on the designated table, and was absolutely delicious! Kayla was a pleasure to work with, very accommodating with all of my menu changes and adjustments, and gave me great suggestions. I called to place my order on Monday, and received 2 confirmations, one Monday and one on Thursday. Everyone commented on how good the food was, and my planner said the delivery people were great. I highly recommend Bi-Rite to anyone wanting really delicious food at a really great price.

Our Thanksgiving work luncheon turned out spectacular! What an amazing event! Tina and the girls were absolutely fantastic! They were very well organized and kept the food coming right on time. They arrived early and knew exactly how to proceed and stay regulated. They also did a fantastic job cleaning up the 'kitchen' and even some of the tables! The FOOD was delicious and prepared perfectly. Many compliments to the chefs! The staff here was very happy and full--delighted to say the least! We had leftovers for tomorrow, and since Tina brought some 'to-go' boxes, people stocked up (great idea by the way)! Everything exceeded my expectations!

We ordered two small cakes 6 inch and 8 inch for our wedding cake. The cake were delicious and the catering department was very efficient. The price of the cake and the delivery charge was reasonable. The service was meticulous. They made sure you reviewed all documents before charging. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because they were not willing to help us stack the cake. They only stack cakes if they cater the event.

I recently used Bi-Rite Catering for an event my company was hosting. Even though I contacted them with only 24 hours notice, they were more than happy to do their best to assist me! I've worked with a lot of catering companies; their customer service was 5 star. They didn't act as though my order was too small or insignificant, which isn't the norm. I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn't actually taste the food. However, every person in attendance raved about how delicious everything was. The shrimp and flat bread were the first to go. I wouldn't hesitate to use Bi-Rite Catering for another in-house or client event.

We've used Bi-Rite catering several times for small events. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food. The items that ALWAYS go like a flash are the skewers. I guarantee your guests will finish the skewers. All of the skewers have tender meat and great sauces. You are getting free-range chicken, grass-fed beef, etc. The items that I don't like much are the focaccia sandwiches. They are more bread than anything else. Everything is always ready on time for pick-up or delivered punctually. You can place an order easily over the telephone. The catering folks are very responsive with any issues you may have.

Eleanor was very communicative and collaborative and delivered floral arrangements beyond our expectations. In addition to being our colors the flowers were all fresh, locally sourced and seasonal. Great food and excellent service. I highly recommend. They did a wonderful party for 30 people at my home this past weekend and they could not be nicer and the food (especially the passed appetizers) were a 10. Thank you Bi-Rite! I will use you again!

I had an excellent experience working with Casey Carroll of Bi-Rite catering to plan a toddler birthday party. The menu descriptions were somewhat helpful, but talking to Casey by phone was particularly useful, as Casey provided insights on portion sizes and kids' favorites. While helping me finalize the order and ensuring that we had enough -- but not too much -- food, Casey also persuaded me to order less. There is nothing more appreciated than a vendor's down-selling a client, rather than persuading a parent to spend more than needed for party food (which is easy to do). On the day of the party, Bi-Rite delivered the food punctually and speedily, and we got plenty of compliments from both the kids and their appreciative parents (who particularly enjoyed menu items like the ). The parents enjoyed the quinoa salad, soba noodle salad, savory tartlets with porcini mushrooms, endive spears with curried chicken salad, and grilled beef sirloin skewers. The kids enjoyed the the cheese and sauce pizza, chicken fingers, and PB & J finger sandwiches. Everybody enjoyed the mini cupcakes.

Always delicious, always fresh, so good for small parties and gatherings. I love these folks!

The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious! Susan is a pleasure to work with! I have used Bi-Rite catering twice now for lunch meetings and couldn't be happier. Everything is delivered on time and still tastes fresh and yummy. At our last meeting the food got rave reviews!

We just had a work even catered by Bi-Rite - I can't say enough good things about them. Planning - smooth and easy, staff were wonderful and came up w/ a creative menu Set up - awesome, staff were wonderful, prompt, and unintrusive (had to set up during a meeting) Food - delicous! everyone loved it - lots of very positive comments - 10 stars for food! Clean up - wonderful. would definitely recommend them and use bi-rite catering again!

Bi-rite did the catering for our September 2012 wedding. Michael was so easy to work with, was helpful in working within our budget, and worked us to infuse some of my husband's southern background into the menu items. He was always super quick to respond to questions via e-mail and he had worked the venue before (Fort Mason General's Residence) so he was super helpful in taking care of setting up all of the rentals and knowing the best way to lay things out. They handled all of our rentals, food, wedding cake, and ice cream sandwiches at the wedding. They did a fantastic job - I didn't have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding and the food was amazing. Our guests still talk about the food to this day - we did family style dinner and folks really enjoyed that. Their in-house wine, 18 Street is very good as well. The bartenders and servers were fantastic and I couldn't have been happier with their products and service. At the end of the night, they even packed us a shopping bag filled with leftovers and items from the market so my husband and I could eat at the end of a very long night - it was very much appreciated! We used BiRite to cater a happy hour event at our office. They were amazing! So easy to work with...they answered all questions and got back to us about everything so quickly! The events team also helped us choose a fabulous menu. Something to note: they WILL help you make sure you have enough food. They know their stuff. When it came, I was a little concerned it wouldn't be enough. It was plenty. Don't let your party planning paranoia deceive you. Prices are also very reasonable for very high quality food.

My coordinator was Gail and my onsite lead was Lisa; both of them made everything incredibly easy. The on-site crew was a dream and went out of their way to check in with me and be helpful. I've used their service twice for work events and am always so excited - for their yummy food and all around stellar customer service!! I'm always amazed by their menu options too - so much deliciousness to choose from.
