Bianca Sicilian Trattoria - Review - Arts District - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"If there weren't enough Arts District Italian restaurants housed in old brick buildings already, Bianca is the latest to join the fray. This traditional Sicilian concept has taken over the former Le Champ space, making good use of the big back patio covered in string lights. Bianca's opening menu isn't big on vegetables, but it does include many hearty Italian classics like arancini, mushroom ragu lasagna, seafood linguine, and bistecca with salsa verde." - Cathy Park

Authentic Sicilian Italian recipes elevated aesthetically for a cozy but luxurious experience. Beautiful outdoor patio. Service was IMPECCABLE. The kind of service where your waters are always full and your silverware is always fresh but you don’t even notice when it was replaced. You definitely won’t have dirty dishes sitting on the table. Food was spectacular, the chef/owner is from Sicily. The lamb (not pictured) was so tender it was almost hard to get a bite on the fork because of how easily it fell apart! The pasta (not pictured) is made in house and you and absolutely tell. We also got the burrata as a starter and were given complementary pistachio gelato sandwiches as dessert. I came with my family but this is also a perfect date night spot. Highly recommend!

We were lucky enough to dine at the restaurant on its debut night. I have been following Michele and his food for quite some time from Casa Mia in LA Puente to Farina in Koreatown and now to his newest venture, Bianca! The atmosphere was well put together. A nice open-air patio with lights strung throughout and subtle italian music on the sound system. Cleanly set marble style tables with comfortable chairs to complement them. There is a parking lot right next door to the restaurant in case there is no parking on the street, which make visiting super convenient. Perfect for a date night. The food was impeccable. We started off with Salumi & Formaggi. The highlight of the platter for me was the tasty and creamy gorgonzola served with the freshest focaccia to enjoy it with. We then ordered the Gamberi pasta and the Diavola pizza for the main course. The Gamberi had tons of shrimp flavor embedded in the red sauce that coated the fresh pasta. The pizza was cooked to perfection and was full of flavor with every spicy bite. Service was very prompt. Our water glasses were kept full and our wine glasses too. Bussers were quick to pick up dishes as they emptied out. Honestly, can't wait to go back. We have barely even dented the menu and while walking in and out of the restaurant I saw some dishes on other tables that I can't wait to try myself.

We were lucky to find Bianca when the restaurant we were supposed to go to ended up being temporarily closed. The restaurant is very cute, loved every single detail. The food was excellent and you can tell the owners take big pride in their dishes. We live on the Westside but we’ll definitely be back for more!

My son and I were lucky enough to have this as our Christmas Eve meal. It was spectacular. But even better was the care and conversation from the waitress (Bianca actually) and the owner. Her service was impeccable and we had a long talk with the chef/owner. He is a master at his cuisine and the authenticity of the food was the pinnacle of the experience. He is truly passionate about bringing his heritage to LA and this is the best Italian food I have had in the entire state.

Google
Phenomenal restaurant. I stumbled upon this place randomly, and everything—from the food to the atmosphere and pricing—was spot on. My only note is that the pizza was a bit over-seasoned. Definitely try the octopus, and the steak was cooked perfectly. I have a feeling this spot is going to get busy fast. I forgot which wine I ordered but that last of the reds on the menu was a perfect pairing.

Came here to say for lunch. The lunch menu consisted of three salads, two pastas and some pizzas. I do hope that they expand the lunch menu by adding more pastas in the coming months. I had an anchovies pasta and thought it was very good. The music was a tad too loud but not a. ear-splitting level. I would definitely return here for lunch. They is paid parking lot close that had a sign that they charge $5. There is some street parking nearby.

The mushroom pizza is one of the best pizzas I have in LA. Service was fantastic, we dined with our baby girl and chef made special pasta for her, she was so happy about the meal.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! Went on a Friday night and was surprised by the number of reservations they had available. We were greeted by our wonderful waitress, Bianca, who was so patience and kind to us. Very welcoming and homey vibe the entire night and gave us a lot of great recommendations. We were seated outside and the staff members immediately asked us if we were cold and turned on the heaters. We ordered a number of their dishes including their appetizers: arancine & zucca in agrodolce, mains: prosciutto pizza & 3 different pastas: algio & olio, ricotta gnocchi, and the lobster pasta, and then the tableside tiramisu. We chased it all down with a bottle of Birgi Nero. Overall the food was absolutely delicious, our favorites were the Zucca in Agrodolce, Algio & Olio and the tableside tiramisu. I had high hopes for the seafood pasta but in my opinion, it tasted a little too fishy for me to enjoy. Chef Michele Galifi is a great chef and entertainer, especially during the tiramisu demonstration. Told us why he does what he does, especially with a slightly injured arm, and it was a very enjoyable evening! Happy to come back!

Yelp
Bianca Sicilian Trattoria is truly a hidden gem in the Arts District! My boyfriend and I come here every week for our date night, and it's easily one of our favorite spots in all of LA. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy an incredible meal without that typical LA chaos & it feels like a cozy escape from the city. The food is so authentic and fresh, you can taste the quality in every single bite. The pastas are out of this world! My absolute favorite is the Pomodoro. It's simple, yet the flavors are unbelievably rich and comforting. You can tell everything is made from scratch with a true passion. Their pizzas are also phenomenal -- my favorite is the Margherita, and my boyfriend's go-to is the Diavola. One of the most unique and fun parts of dining here is the side table tiramisu. The owner actually makes it right in front of you, step by step -- from mixing the mascarpone to layering the espresso-soaked ladyfingers and finishing with a dusting of cocoa. It's such a cool, interactive experience and hands down one of the best tiramisus I've ever had. And if you're craving something sweet and different, you have to try the gelato in the brioche bun -- it's like the most delicious little Italian ice cream sandwich you'll ever have. Another big plus -- it's located right next to a parking lot, so you don't have to spend forever circling around looking for parking (a huge win in LA!). Everything about Bianca Sicilian Trattoria is perfect -- from the food and atmosphere to the service and location. If you want an authentic Italian experience with heart, this is the spot.

Yelp
New restaurant, only open a couple weeks, so still working through things. All outdoor patio seating which gives a nice little vibe and ambiance. Had a reservation so we were seated right away, but it was empty at the time, probably because it's new and no one has heard of the place yet. They sure not have their liquor license at the time so we just went with water to drink. Womp womp. We started out with appetizers as we need a little it everything to have a good opinion of a restaurant. We tried the Frito misto and the arancine. The Frito misto had crocche (potato croquettes), panella (Sicilian fritter) and calamari. Presentation was very basic and everything tasted like it really was not seasoned. The arancine, on the other hand, had a nice crispy texture on the outside with great filling inside. Definitely a must order it you visit. For entrees, the langostino had nice sized langostino, split, over a bed of pasta. The langostino, itself, was very tasty, but the pasta was underwhelming. The cozze was a linguini with PEI mussels with a white wine sauce. The mussels were cooked well but, again, the pasta was just missing something. Finally was the margherita pizza. I will say, the tomatoes on the pizza were delicious. Just so flavorful. I could eat a plate of them. The pizza itself was also pretty good overall. Overall, a lot to be desired but, being new, there are kinks to work out and hopefully they get it right. If you do visit, try the arancine and the margherita pizza, they were worth it. The pastas we tried were underwhelming, so I would say to try another pasta on the menu, might be better that the seafood pasta.

Yelp
We had the privilege of attending the soft opening for family and friends in September 2025. The cuisine was exquisite, and the staff's service was impeccable. We are thrilled about Michele's new endeavor with his restaurant. May you have filled tables and satisfied appetites! Congratulazioni! Ti auguro un successo senza fine! xoxo

Yelp
Food was delicious, definitely it nice vibe. Music is a bit loud but you can still hold a conversation. It is definitely very family / friends / date oriented. We ordered the Margherita pizza and Pomodoro....delicioso. My seven year old was a fan of both. Service is a bit slow but overall but the great food and atmosphere make up for it!

Yelp
Hidden gem in the arts district but a must try if you're looking for authentic Sicilian cuisine. Chef Miguelia did an excellent job on all the dishes we ordered. Newer restaurant serving up some fire food. We can here for lunch time, nice patio outside and indoor seating. Easy to find parking. Tonno, Zucca, Agilo and Pomodaro were so delish!

Yelp
I am beyond excited that this is in our Arts District neighborhood. This is an authentic Sicilian restaurant - the owner/chef is from Palermo and the food I had here rivaled and surpassed most of the dishes I had in Taormina. We had the Zucca (kabocha squash with a beautiful savory/sweet glaze and crispy garlic and dots of sauces), and the two fish dishes - both were absolutely beautiful. One was a battered/breaded flaky white fish in a lemony sauce - so perfectly crusted and seasoned. The sauce was fresh tasting and loved the greens - added texture and extra tang. The Pesce Spada was an amazing meaty fish (we couldn't get over how perfectly cooked this was), in a fresh, gorgeous tomato based sauce with capers and olives. I scraped the dish of that sauce. Sergio recommended the tiramisu experience and I have to say that's not to be missed. The chef makes the tiramisu at your table and explains the entire process. And it was literally THE BEST tiramisu I've ever had. The service here was wonderful - mainly outdoor seating that is covered and they have heat lamps. I can't wait to come here when it's a bit rainy - I think it would be just such a vibe. Oh and I forgot to mention they have such fantastic music playing the whole time! It's all euro pop music from the past! It really sets the fun mood!

Yelp
My wife and I were incredibly impressed with every aspect of this new Sicilian restaurant. The location is beautifully stylized, with gorgeous decor, fountains and fitting music. The staff is on point and you can sense they know the menu well. I appreciated watching chef/owner Michele Galifi explain every dish to each guest receiving their food. No exaggeration, the food was incredible. Perfectly balanced. We cleaned every plate and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I stumbled into this absolute treasure of a trattoria by happenstance. I've been passing it for weeks as it developed and just so happened to decide to waltz in tonight for dinner. The staff- Professional, Vastly Knowledgeable and Kind. The atmosphere- Cozy, and Spacious The food- I don't think i have the adequate words to properly describe the pure symphony of flavors that i experienced tonight. You can genuinely tell that whomever is crafting this food within their kitchen is doing it with care, purpose, and love. Truly the most authentic Sicilian Cuisine i have had. I cannot recommend this spot enough. I will be back... over and over and over again. If you love pasta- the pasta here will love you back 10 fold.

Yelp
So excited that they are opening here in Arts district , was lucky enough to go to the first night . Everything we had was amazing from the charcuterie board, to the salad, to the Mushroom pizza and the steak! It's so cool when you walk in and see the amazing garden patio space , The service staff was so friendly and helpful explaining the menu and discussing wine. I want to have my office party here for the holiday!! we will be back again this weekend The vibe is so friendly and welcoming

Yelp
The food was ok. The service staff was very friendly. The owner however is rude and clueless when it comes to gracious service. I live down the street and will not go back or take my friends there. Better places in the neighborhood for sure.

Yelp
Incredible food. We ordered a variety of dishes so we could try them all. Each one had incredible flavors.

Yelp
Just had the most delicious Italian dinner at Bianca Sicilian trattoria. Let's start with the location, super easy to find, super easy to park either on the street or in the valet (just pay attention to signs). The atmosphere is super cute, outdoors, lovely decor, romantic, great date night, or girls night or family night. Kid friendly, amazing service, lovely ambiance. Italian music playing really made you feel like you were having dinner in Italy! Now onto the food! Run don't walk to try some of the best pasta dishes in town. We just asked our waiter to bring us out his favorites, and everything we had was so delicious and flavorful, nothing disappointed. My absolute favorite was the Aglio & Olio perfectly cooked mafalda pasta with anchovies, garlic, lemon and parsley. The balance of flavors was spot on, perfectly acidic and well balanced with the saltiness from the anchovies, but not at all fishy. A must order in my opinion. The Cozze pasta was also delicious, linguini with mussels, white wine, lemon and chili, was also a winner in my book. Pizza was just perfectly cooked, not heavy or too thick, can definitely enjoy alongside pasta and not leave feeling overly full. The Diavola was flavorful and had a nice little kick. Loved their Salumi and cheese plate, all the cheeses were so delicious and paired so well with the olives, almonds and jam. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. So excited to have this great addition to the downtown food scene!

Yelp
I came here for dinner on Friday with some friends, and we had such a great time. The Diavola pizza was hands down the star of the night and absolutely amazing (plus you can get it on DoorDash). I also tried the butternut squash gnocchi special, which was packed with bold, rich flavors and perfectly cooked. The table side tiramisu was such a fun touch, delicious, and a great way to end the meal. Service was impeccable from start to finish, and the chef even came out to chat with us, which made the experience feel extra special and personal. Such a fun, vibrant spot in the Arts District with great food, great energy, and genuinely warm hospitality. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Wonderful experience. Outstanding food. Great service. Great addition to the Arts District food scene. We will be back soon.
