We searched up a nearby cafe after visiting a car dealership nearby and found Bibi's. We opted for the hazelnut mousse cake and a pair of double espressos. The cake was disappointed us as it was missing semblance of hazelnuts. As our visit happened on a very gusty/rainy day the windows and doors of the shop were closed. Perhaps this is why there was a strong odor of cooking oil or something burnt instead of coffee or the sweet smell of baking when we arrived after lunch. I was really impressed with the shelves of assorted cookies and baked savory treats alongside the case of cakes. (so much labor to make so many varieties and seasonal Shamrock cookies for March) I can see why this is a go-to bakery for many in the neighborhood.

Wide selection of desserts. Cakes are not too sweet, and they have options for those with special diet preferences like keto and vegan. If they get too busy, have a little patience to wait til you get served, but staff are nice and trying to accommodate everyone. If you are a self entitled customer, maybe not the right place for you. First come, first serve...of course.

I have been coming here for several years with my family, and the quality remains consistent. My mother swears by their scones and I've had several cakes and cookies throughout the years, all which were fresh and delicious. The baked goods here really have that homemade taste and feel, and you can't go wrong with anything you choose!

One of my favorite independent coffee and bakery shops, when I lived in silicon valley. Wake up early on the weekends, and walk from my house to this little coffee and bakery shop. Back then it was called "Bijans". Neighbors and friends would meet and we would talk and enjoy and drink coffees from all around the world. Turkish, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Salvadorian, Brazilian and Kona. Very little has changed, new owner, Bakery goods with recipes from Europe, the mid-east and the U.S. On this day we had an eclair, tiramisu and raspberry cheesecake. Our drinks included at least 4 Turkish coffees for me and she had a raspberry ice tea. The shop can get very busy, but there is a comfortable patio area.

Google
This is a great place for coffee and sharing your favorite desserts. Our friend could not have sweets so he opted for a Turkish coffee and we chose various treats for the table and take home. The decaf latte was out first, it was great with the raisin cookies (perfectly crisp and chewy at the same time) and pear almond tart (great almond flavor). The Turkish coffee was a fun taste, the coffee grinds at the bottom reminded me of "cowboy coffee." We took home a box of mixed cookies for one household as well as a small fruit tart for another household. There are tables outside and a couple inside to enjoy your treats. Service is friendly and efficient.

Google
Came to know about this bakery via a coworker who brought in a huge mango cake for a party. Visited it today and got their burnt almond cake, Bamieh and Napoleon. They all have rose water in them and the taste is strong. The cream in between the cake layers are light, smooth and have the right amount of sweetness. Will be coming back for their whole cakes!

Google
I used to come here often when this place was under the name of Bijan bakery. I noticed this place is now under new ownership and thought they no longer sell the usual goodies anymore. I just visited them last Saturday and they still sell the all the goodies they used to sell under the previous owner. Man their cookies, cakes and other stuffs are so good. You need to try this place!!

Google
I ordered a cake with very clear instructions by using examples of the existing cake in the store. I was given a blank cake and when I told them it was to look like another cake on display they rushed the job and handed it to me. This cake was $130 and I expected it to look like something other than something I could have gotten at Safeway... I called the manager and was brushed off and told to bring it back and have the staff "fix it". I'm never one to complain about anything but this was horrible. I have included pictures for reference of how the decorations and design of the cake should have looked and what I actually received.

Yelp
Spent a little time here while waiting for a nearby appointment to wrap up. Very cozy spot with tons of delicious bakery items as well as sandwiches, coffee and tea. The staff was very friendly and did not bother me even though I sat outside for a half hour before I came into order. Had an amazing mushroom and cheese croissant and a fresh tea that they made iced on my request. Saw lots of happy looking customers leaving with boxes of baked goods, and the staff deserves an A+.

Yelp
I ordered a birthday cake several days ago and saw this bakery make Guava mousse. My sister loves guava anything and I was willing to try this out. Upon entrance I was overwhelmed with the display of all baked goods. While I waited for my cake to get boxed up I ordered an iced latte and some cinnamon butter cookies. The staff were very nice and checked in on me multiple times. They showed the cake before boxing up. I thought the little sparkles on the glaze were a nice touch. The cinnamon cookies were delightful. It was hard not to indulge but the butteriness, the perfect sweetness, and the size were perfection. I'd love to order an assortment of the other cookies on display. The iced latte was did not have a strong espresso flavor. I was quite disappointed as I didn't taste the espresso at all. I saw the worker make my drink but I was quite shocked at the color and the flavor. I probably wouldn't order a latte again. The star of the show, personally, was the guava mousse cake. I thought the sweetness wasn't overpowering. The guava flavor was delicious and didn't taste artificial. The actual cake was soft and moist. We found that even after slicing, the individual slices didn't easily fall apart. The over structure was sound. If I'm in the mood for another cake or cookie fix I'll definitely come back here.

Yelp
Fantastic princess cake! It's so nice to have a real bakery in the area serving fresh cakes and pastries. The icing on the princess cake was perfect, very nutty and so beautiful. I love that it comes in pink or green, not just the usual green.

Yelp
Food, Service, Variety = 5; Ambience = 4 BiBi Bakery is one of my few go to local bakeries to buy family birthday cakes when we have a small gathering & want to spoil the celebrant as it is pricier, but worth it when want to indulge. It specializes in Mediterranean/Middle Eastern delicacies. Staff answers every-time I call their shop, always patient and helpful with my questions or requests. When I discovered they participate in Too Good To Go, they were the 1 of the first 2 purchased I made as a newbie app user. I was not disappointed. The ideal quantity, quality & variety of offering to enjoy with family or friends for a snack, dessert or pair with coffee/tea/milk. Taste testing a few cake slices helps with me to decide for my next birthday cake purchase. The cafe is bright and has seating space to enjoy your baked good on sight.

Yelp
Excellent service, delicious treats, coffee, tea, and their baked goods! We met with friends during the day. The bakery was very clean and cozy. We all loved it. They have delicious pies, tarts, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, and wonderful croissants and sandwiches.

Yelp
Had the Passion Fruit cake, Burnt Almond cake and Pistachio cake. The cake layers were the same in all 3 cake slices. Soft layers. The difference is the cream or mousse flavors. Best pistachio cake I've ever had. The mousse was very delicate with hint of pistachio flavor. Top of slice was prinkled with crushed pistachios. Not too sweet. Passion Fruit had the tangy sweet taste. A lot more sweet than the pistachio. Comparable to lemon flavor but not as sour as lemon. Burnt Almond was just ok. More like lightly toasted slices of almond than burnt. The almond slices cover the outside of the cake. There's a layer of vanilla mousse/cream in between the cake layers. Pretty pricey for about $7 a slice. They have different cookies and lots of other cakes to choose from. Cakes are sold in slices or as a whole cake. They also have guava and tiramisu cakes which I want to try next time.

Yelp
Such a bummer. I've been coming to this bakery for years and used to absolutely love it when it was still Bijan's. Unfortunately, over the past several years, there's been a noticeable decline in both quality and taste. I'm not sure if there was a change in ownership, but the difference is hard to ignore. On my most recent visit, I ordered a slice of princess cake, and it was a complete letdown. It was a sloppy mess--soaked with something that made the cake soggy instead of light and fluffy, and the marzipan had a bitter, unpleasant flavor. I also tried the bamieh, which was dry and had the unmistakable taste of rancid oil. Not at all what I remember from this place. The roulette cake slice and the kolache cookie were decent, but everything else missed the mark. I guess I'll have to make the trip to the Bijan location in downtown San Jose if I want the kind of quality this place used to deliver.
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
I came back twice since my wedding and feel like their cakes and pastries have declined in their appeal. I wanted to get the 6" almond or chocolate cake but the worker there convinced me to get a 8" cake even though I told her I only had a few people eating. She said it was only a bit more money but worth it and she convinced me to get the lemon mousse flavor because it was sweet and sour. It ended up being $60 dollars worth of disappointment. The lemon tasted artificial and reminded us of floor cleaner lemon. We tossed over 75% of the cake because none of my family members liked it. My tween cousins didn't even want to try it. Their pastries also looked like they were older.
google avatar

Alexis G.

Yelp
So disappointed. Use to go here all the time when it was Bijan's for their out of this world princess cakes. Recently got a princess cake for my birthday and it was not worth it. The marzipan or fondant on top does NOT taste like almond like it use to and it was literally dripping (see picture). Would not recommend wasting your money on a princess cake here.
google avatar

Jen H.

Yelp
Hmm tried their burnt almond cake and it was underwhelming. Cake was dry and the flavor was lacking a brunt almost cake. The pricing is on the higher side too. Not a fan!

Yelp
When you first enter, there's the beautiful display case of cakes -- look to your left for hidden gems: cookies. We enjoyed the mango cake and napoleon, but instead of celebration treats, I want to highlight the cookies that pair perfectly with cozy tea on a cold morning. As a reference, if cakes are 100% sweetness level, these cookies are 15-25% sweet. Ali was friendly and considerate in selecting and recommending a variety of cookies. His service is the best I've ever received at a bakery :) My favorites were the apricot and raspberry butter cookies that have wonderful airy crumb, the delicately thin raisin cookie, the unique textured almond cookie, and the sugar twist cookie (didn't note the exact name).

Yelp
I had such a wonderful experience at Bibi Bakery & Café in San Jose! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. their customer service truly stood out. When I asked for a birthday cake recommendation, they kindly suggested a few options, and I went with the Hazelnut Mousse Cake, which was absolutely delicious! They even offered to write Happy Birthday with my wife's name on the cake, which made it extra special. I really appreciated their warmth and kindness. I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm in San Jose!

Yelp
Thankful for VEGAN CAKE!! :) I was scrambling to find a vegan friendly cake for a work meeting. Generally, the places I found were either expensive or inaccessible. A lot of the bakeries around were pre-order days in advance, closed on Mondays, or $150 a cake! That's insane!! I found Bibi right as I was losing all hope. I called and they were so nice and accommodating. I ordered a strawberry vegan cake Sunday morning, and went to pick it up Monday before my meeting. It's a cute little shop, with tons of pastries in the displays. The vegan cake was a hit, my coworker loved it, which was all I was praying for honestly lol I also ordered a mango mousse cake for everyone else, it was also well loved. Thank you BiBi for being Vegan Friendly :) !!

Yelp
If you're looking for little delights that make your mouth smile, BiBi Bakery is the place to go. This bakery offers a range of Persian baked goods from cookies to pastries to cakes. I walked in on an early afternoon. The bakery was refreshingly cool when I stepped in from the hot outdoors. There were displays of gorgeous cakes in front, and rows of cookies on the left. I was in the mood for some small treats so I looked through the cookies and pastries and settled on a half dozen tea cookies and a half dozen almond cookies. I also threw in an almond croissant for good measure. The associate was attentive and gathered my dozen cookies and pastry into a box with finesse. And within five minutes, I was out the door ready to enjoy my food. The tea cookies were light and delicate, hinting at butter just enough to tease my tongue. Each bite was a soft joy to sink my teeth into. In contrast, the almond cookies were bold. These cookies were sure to let you know all the sweet nuttiness they were made of. Marzipan is what I thought of when I bit into these petite delights. Fluffy and sweet was the almond croissant too. These cookies and pastry were a favorite of mine, and I can't wait to come back to BiBi Bakery for more.

Mikey K.

Yelp
$50+ for a 6 in tres leches cake that wasn't even tres leches. Over priced and dry. Very disappointing. Presentation very deceiving looks nice, not worth it.

Yelp
I have been ordering cakes off and on over the years from this bakery. Their cakes and pastries are spot on. They're very delicious. Their employees and bakers are genuinely nice. It's easy to work with them to order any of their specialty cakes. I like going there in the morning when they have a lot of available pastries. I typically order the cakes in advance and pick it up after work.

Gordon L.

Yelp
Great selection of pastries and cakes. Nice spot for a casual coffee break and dessert. Friendly service and easy parking.
google avatar

Shanna K.

Yelp
I've tried a few different items from BiBi Bakery... pastries, an almond mille-feuille, mango roulade... but my favorite so far is the princess cake. They really do everything well here but, for me, that cake really is above and beyond. Fresh, airy and delicious. Really outstanding. The staff is very kind and helpful and parking is easy as well. I look forward to trying their pistachio mousse cake, strawberry mousse cake and some of the Persian cookies in the future. I've no doubt that they're all terrific.

M S.

Yelp
Overpriced! Got a piece of princess cake for $8.50, which was smaller than the last time that I got fr the business. The owner may want to shop around and use his judgement for pricing in this business. I will not visit the bakery at-least for a long time.Complete disappointment!

Yelp
My SO wanted to stop by this quaint bakery to get me a birthday cake. He got the mango mousse cake and it is so beautiful, I loved the way they decorated the cake and it was so soft, fluffy and not sweet--which is my ideal taste for desserts. I ate practically a 1/3rd of the cake haha. Some friends also got some cookies and those were tasty as well. They had nice textures and consistencies and were lightly flavored since I am someone that typically avoids cookies.
google avatar

Eva C.

Yelp
The service was excellent, and they offered incredibly delicious treats along with a variety of coffees and teas. While passing by on my way to Starbucks, I noticed this place and found it intriguing, so I decided to give it a try instead. I was planning on getting something but I was interested in whether they had Wi-Fi available before deciding to stay and work here. The staff was chill and informed me that I could use their Wi-Fi without making a purchase, which I thought was very accommodating of them, as many places often require a purchase first. I got the chocolate croissant heated ($4.99), which was wonderfully flaky with a rich chocolate flavor. I will be returning to try more of their other items!
google avatar

fariba y.

Yelp
Overall ~ok experience as they had variety of sweets to try. They don't offer authentic tea and just have tea bags. sweets that we ordered were ok but not the best tbh. Bamie was good though.
google avatar

HanNa P.

Yelp
It was good. Pretty clean place inside. Would come back to try the cake. Went on a Monday after work. The single worker was nice. I got the blueberry scone, lemon strudel and dark chocolate bar. I wish the chocolate wasn't so sweet. Always order this at other places too, and Bibi's is just too sweet. But the other two were yummy Parking lot in front
google avatar

Yelp
Cute bakery/cafe. The cakes and the baked goods here are delicious. The cakes are moist and flavorful, whether it's their princess or chocolate or mango mousse or raspberry cake; all flavors are unique and I've enjoyed everything I've gotten so far. Not too sweet. I'll consider getting a birthday cake from here in the future for sure! Store workers are all friendly in my experience. Located in a plaza with plenty of parking spots as well.

Arsa L.

Yelp
This bakery is truly exceptional! I absolutely adore their Turkish coffee; it's a must-try for anyone who appreciates a great cup.
google avatar

Yelp
Highly recommend BiBi! My family has been a long time customer of this bakery for over 20 years and always loved their cakes and pastries. We needed a custom vintage engagement cake for a party a few days before the event and Nancy as well as BiBi bakery were super accommodating, friendly, and easy to work with. I had called a few other places the same day and no one was else able to help. Super grateful to the team for not only making a stunning cake but for their kind and gracious service throughout the process.
google avatar

Gauri V.

Yelp
Excellent service, cake, cookies, pastries and drinks. They serve individual cake slices and also sell whole cakes. They also sell cookies by the pound. This place is a real gem and I always make a stop by when I'm in the area. Thanks again!
google avatar

Rcw W.

Yelp
WOW!! Beautiful pastries, generous portion, wide variety. Purchased for a dinner party desert and all were delighted with them. Somewhat higher in price than bakeries with similar offerings but well worth the extra $ for exceptional quality and variety offered. Disclosure: the baker's comment that I was handsome had no bearing on my objectivity and positive review
google avatar

Shannon N.

Yelp
Cute local bakery with a ton of baked goods - lots of cake slices plus cookies and pastries and more. I got the passion fruit mousse cake slice for $6.99 and it was really good - light white cake with two layers of a delicious passion fruit mousse. Good stuff!

Karlen T.

Yelp
I recently bought a chocolate cake from this bakery, and it was a huge disappointment. The cake layers were dry and lacked flavor, and the cream (the filling between the layers and on top) tasted like it was made with margarine instead of real cream or butter, leaving a greasy, unpleasant aftertaste. It was so bad that we couldn't even finish it and had to throw it away. What's worse, with half the price (or even less), you can buy much better cakes from any Safeway in the neighborhood. For the price this bakery charges, I expected far better quality. I won't be coming back here for cakes again
google avatar

Atosa T.

Yelp
Working with bibi's cake staff for my wedding day was easy. The owner, Samira, made the decision easier than what I thought. The taste of the cake was walnut banana with almond cover . The service was organized and before the big day we had several messages and phone calls which made our communication easier than ever. Samira is text friendly and she tries her best to give a great service. She also give you some suggestions which I believe it helps for a better decision.

Yelp
There's a variety of options to choose from in this bakery. There are cookies, pastries, cake slices, tarts, pies, ice cream and custom made desserts. It's so hard to choose and you'll be walking back and forth deciding what to get. The staff was friendly and the bakery was clean. There are a few sugar free options desserts too. I got a few slices of cakes to try and their mango mousse cake. When I ate my tres leches, I was disappointed. It was lacking sweetness and the moisture from the milks. I don't think it's even a sponge cake, the texture was a regular cake. My coworker's coffee mouse cake tasted old, like it's been left out too long. The mango mousse cake was apparently liked but when we tried a slice, it wasn't good. The cake was semi hard and dry. The mousse was more of a thick cream and the gelatin was falling off. I don't know if the cakes have been left out too long but they were disappointing. Maybe on our next visit, we'll try their jam cookies, tarts and baklavas. Those looked promising.
google avatar

Joe N.

Yelp
Known for serving traditional Iranian baked goods, everything you can purchase here is fresh. It's a great spot for a quick bite as I got a spinach and cheese croissant and some small bamieh bites to take home with me. It is a cute establishment, very well taken care of. Milad, the man behind the counter was welcoming and kind for my first visit. Thank you Milad, I will be back regularly.
google avatar

Diana R.

Yelp
Very lovely bakery. Delicious food items and the mocha is SO good! Cashier was very nice, professional, and fast. As for the interior, such an elegant design and style. Absolutely loved it. I am a student at SJSU, so I will definitely be coming here more often.
google avatar

Silpa D.

Yelp
Bibi Bakery has a lovely vibe and everything looks picture-perfect. I was excited to try the cookies, but they didn't quite match the visual appeal. The texture was a bit dry and the flavor felt a little underwhelming. Not bad, just not standout. Still a cute spot to grab a treat and enjoy the ambiance--maybe I'll try a different item next time!
google avatar

Yuki K.

Yelp
I usually am not that fond of chocolate cake but the Bibi cake is delicious! It comes with three layers of cake separated by two thick layers of chocolate cream as well as another thin layer of something like soft milk chocolate, all dusted with cocoa and maybe espresso powder. Super messy to slice into. When I had it after a meal it tasted too sickly sweet, but after trying it again the next morning for breakfast, it no longer felt like death by chocolate. The chocolate is rich but the cream is light enough to balance everything out. The cake part is moist even after a day in the fridge and not too dense or heavy. My dad said something about there maybe being liqueur. I can't tell either way because the alcohol taste was baked out anyway
google avatar

Annie H.

Yelp
Found this little gem when I was craving croissants this past week, walked out with a ham and cheese croissant as well as a passion fruit cake! Lovely service, calm ambiance inside, affordable menu! Will definitely stop by next time to try their drinks (they even have Turkish coffee), sandwiches and other desserts!

Sean M.

Yelp
Amazing sugar free pistachio cake. Truly incredible flavor. And was ready for pickup within a couple hours.
google avatar

Bryan T.

Yelp
$130 cake for a sloppy design. The design looked like it was rushed and not symmetrical. I could've gotten a cake that was similar quality and a third of the cost from Safeway, but I would rather have preferred to support a small business instead.

Nicholas T.

Yelp
I recently visited this place and noticed their tastes were different from before Covid-19 as the qualities, the prices and the managements that changed a lot.
google avatar

Jazmin P.

Yelp
Location: inside of the Saratoga Square shopping center Bibi Bakery & cafe is on the corner. There's plenty of parking no EV charging though .. Service here is nothing short of excellent customer service:) The Staff is so sweet and very understanding, I wasn't trying to be difficult but I had to move my cake pick up time twice so we could attend a toddler social event in San Francisco. They didn't hesitate and moved the date and time of pick up no problem . At pick up I did notice they had a candle carousel so I bought some to go with my awesome cake . I asked for a white heart shaped cake and black writing that reads "hello thirty" . The flavor is the bestselling strawberries and cream filling . I'll attach photos of the similar aesthetic I wanted for reference.
google avatar

Audrey P.

Yelp
Their little pastries and cakes are so good! My family normally gets a few slices of cakes and cookies to go from here. Their passion fruit mousse cake, guava, and mocha? coffee? tiramisu flavor? not sure but the brown mousse cake are all so light and fluffy. I ordered a cake over the phone for my dad's bday, the passion fruit since we love it, and it came out perfectly. They were super helpful with my questions since I wasn't sure about sizing, and they were really friendly when I came in to pick it up. My whole family loves the cakes and cookies here and we can't wait to try the other flavors. Inside the store, it's a bit small, but it's super cute. They have a few tables you can sit at if you want to sit down and enjoy some coffee and pastries.
google avatar

cynthia l.

Yelp
My favirOMG, you have to try the princess cake at this place. It's seriously the best I've ever had. The cake is so moist, and the frosting is perfect, not too sweet. Plus, the little dome shape is so cute! I could eat it every day.
google avatar

Farmer J.

Yelp
Cakes are not too sweet. Does anyone know why cheaper bakeries are always sweeter? Who doesn't know that sugar are killing more people than guns?
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
I have visited this place about a dozen times over the last 10 years, and on about 6 of those occasions, I walked out without placing an order. The pastries and cakes are just mediocre. The customer service has consistently been somewhat unfriendly, giving the impression that the staff doesn't enjoy their work.
google avatar

Noemma C.

Yelp
Beautiful presentation but poor flavor. My colleague was colleague was excited to buy a birthday cake for a coworker from and was happy to support a local business. However, I took 2 bites and it tasted like they used spoiled milk/cream. I couldn't have anymore of it. Another colleague wondered if they added champagne or beer to the dough. Maybe it was the fruit on top that affected it? Whatever it was, it was a disappointing $60 purchase.
google avatar

Sue M.

Yelp
I ordered a cake 1 week before my event. I gave a specific request about colored bottom boarder only and just white top. I even provided the dark blue color picture for the boarder. When we went to pick it up the day of event, the baker said she didn't see it!!! NO CAKE!!!! They actually had a cake for us later that afternoon. We had to drive across town to pick it up during the event. The actual cake had light blue top and bottom boarders. Not what was requested!!! The custard inside was awful! Reluctantly I took the cake cause I had to have something at the event! I should have screamed for a refund! Advice: Next time call the days before to see if they have the order!! What a stressful nightmare!!
google avatar

Jeanette K.

Yelp
I've been going to this bakery since childhood. I usually ask for a sample of their cookies before ordering to make sure the cookies taste fresh. My go-to selection is usually the raisin, pecan, or flower cookies. A lb of cookies goes for around $17.50, and you can order by the "handful" and mix/match different cookies. My family usually orders their coffee mousse cake for special occasions, and the mousse is always so fresh and creamy. Service is always quick and friendly too!
google avatar

Janice C.

Yelp
Love the bakes here! I like that they have vegan ones too. Unique twist on things. Good prices, service is quick. Never any problems. Highly recommend the place.
