The 33 Best Rio de Janeiro Restaurants | Eater

"In the Rio heat, when a full meal feels like too much, go for a big glass of cold juice. At this classic chain, options range from native fruits like cajá, graviola, and carambola to more global flavors like avocado, pineapple, and pitaya. It’s a tasty way to stay hydrated." - Rafael Tonon

We went to Bibi at least three times during our short stay in Rio. The food is extremely well priced, the service is pretty quick, and the food is great! I got Acai nearly every time I came and also tried the eggs, toast, egg/cheese sandwich, a few juices, and the pancakes. Loved it all. It's an excellent, inexpensive option with a large menu of items catering to nearly any dietary restriction. If I'm ever back in Rio, I'll certainly be coming back!

Came here a couple of times during my stay in Rio just for their açaí. It’s super fresh and smooth—unlike the usual ice cream-style açaí you find in other spots. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re craving proper açaí!

The açai at this restaurant is excellent. It's especially impressive for first-time açai enthusiasts. Try it with a variety of toppings.

If you're looking for a refreshing and delicious spot to enjoy some açaí and vibrant natural juices, BIBI Sucos is the place to be. Their açaí bowls are generously portioned making them a perfect treat any time of the day. The variety of fresh fruit toppings adds a delightful crunch and sweetness that complements the smooth, creamy açaí base beautifully. Don’t miss out on their ham and cheese press sandwich, which is a true delight. The ham is savory and perfectly cured, paired with gooey, melted cheese and pressed until the outside is crispy and golden brown. The atmosphere at BIBI Sucos is equally inviting, with ample outdoor seating that allows you to enjoy your meal in the fresh air. It’s a great spot to relax, soak up the sun, and people-watch while savoring your juice or sandwich. The friendly service you’ll receive only enhances the experience, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Overall, BIBI Sucos is a fantastic destination for fresh, healthy food and a warm, welcoming vibe.

Was in Rio for 3 weeks and probably ate here 4-5 days a week, some times more than once a day! So many healthy meal options, and everything was cooked perfectly and stunningly delicious! You can build your own meals by choosing a protein, 2 sides, and a dressing. Tried almost every option, all were fantastic but highlights were; chorizo steak, grilled chicken, filet mignon, and the BiBi potatoes! Their açaí bowls are also delicious, with the freshly fried coconut flakes.

I ordered their breakfast of 7 items. It cost R$35 and the tapioca with chefs salad for R$35. We had fast service. We arrived around 9am and it wasn’t too crowded. Our server was quick and very attentive. I would recommend this cute location for a morning bite.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant! I ordered a small acai bowl with strawberries and granola, along with Green Juice #2. Both were delicious, and the service was impressively fast. I highly recommend this spot for a tasty and refreshing meal!

Yelp
They have menus available in English - just request! We seated ourselves & were approached immediately. They have indoor & outdoor seating. We sat down & it immediately started pouring -- so we got lucky. They sell crepes, sandwiches, salads & sandwiches. I saw a bunch of people getting the Acai bowls - I definitely need to try it out before I leave. I ended up ordering the Pontal Burger (Soy Burger) - it came with Gruyere Cheese, arugula, tomato, pesto sauce & basil. The texture was something different but the burger was a good size - it was yummy nonetheless. I also got Sparkling Water which they pour for you at your table. The onion rings were pretty legit - no breading - more of a batter. They brought our bill to us & we noticed that our 78R bill had a new total written down as 87R - come to find out - after reading other Yelpers - it's a service fee. Weird. But I'd totally recommend it! I'll be back to try the Acai bowl.

Yelp
Addicted to this place! Their açaí bowls are unreal. They also have lots of awesome juices. My favorite was fruta de conde juice! It kind of tastes like banana and it's quite gooey. The service is usually quick. You can also take it to go. I HAD to have their açaí one last time before i left for my flight and they quickly prepared one for me while I waited to take it to the car. Can't wait to be back in Rio and come to Bibi again. I also had their fillet mignon sandwich with fries that was also super delicious. I haven't had anything here that wasn't unbelievably delicious. A must try!

Yelp
In the land of Acai and juice bars, BiBi Sucos is constantly lauded as one of - if not THE - best. They've got a larger menu and a more sit-down restaurant feel at this location. And they include a 10% service charge for the extra comfort. The reason they're famous is their Acai. It's not overly-sweetened and guarana-ized. Most other places will mix the frozen Acai berries from the Amazon with guarana to make it an icy treat. Over-do the guarana and you get the energy-drink aftertaste, and you loose the slight crunchy grit of Acai berries. BiBi Sucos has the mix down perfectly, and you'll be able to taste something closer to what Acai should taste like. Order a "copa" size for two to share, and it's a tall glass. Order the smaller and it's a small saucer, perfect for after dinner or for one. Their menu also boasts the same traditional juice bar sandwiches, salgados (hand-pastries with cheese or meat), etc. and juices. I've not been blown away by the juices, but they'll do, and the Acai is worth the trek.

Yelp
I have been coming to Bibis for over 15 years the service is great you can sit inside or outside where you can eat and people watch as the Day goes by... The food is not expensive at all there is a service charge in your bill, and the Açaí is to die for so good.

Yelp
Have always liked this place last week my salad came with a huge long black hair buried in it. And then of course they still tried to put the salad on the bill.

Yelp
came to bibi earlier in the week and had a great time so we thought we would give it another chance. not a good idea. we got this waitress who seemed very confused as to what she was suppose to do. she started to take our order but after taking two orders she walked away. we called another waiter over who was very helpful. one of the orders from the first waitress arrived and a couple minutes later the other two from the second waiter came. we asked where the list order was. that's when the crazy waitress reappeared and confronted the guy who ordered telling him he didn't order anything. they got into an argument and he walked out. the waitress went to the cashier and obviously convinced them we were crazy because no one came over to settle anything. if you go make sure you get a waiter and stay away from the disappearing waitress.
