Not only books in Russian, also EN/DE/SP/FR/IT and so for. Great service and atmosphere. Here you can find also nice souvenirs like calendars with the views of Moscow/pictures of Russian painters, post cards and so on.

If you're fond of reading and the smell of books, it's a good place to visit. However, it was quite difficult to find the books those I needed. (Even my local friend was having trouble searching for the books.)

It has a small selection of books in English. Many Russian books of all types of courses. There are many people as well. Staff is friendly.

This is one of biggest book store in Moscow and you can find everything you want.

A little bit overhyped place but it's still okay. More expensive than its competitors and they don't bother separating science-based literature from someone fraud (like you can find "alternative history" books at the same place as the real history books). The store mostly aims at profit by any means, so you'll find all kinds of weird stuff there. Having said that, if you know what you are looking for it's might be a good place then: they have electronic catalogues every here and there so you don't have to browse all the shelves on your own, and they have a very, very big selection on various topics.

Arguably the best and the largest bookstore in the entire Russian Federation. Incredibly wide selection of books of all kinds ranging from cookbooks and cheap fiction to a good variety of high-quality. art albums and scientific literature on a wide range of topics including mathematics, chemistry and quantum physics. Also it has a pretty large section with books in English, French and other languages. Absolute must-visit for any book lover in Moscow.

Good books selection, good coffee in cafeteria inside. But overcrowded and there's not enough space for moving inside and terrible layout, where you need to move from one end of the corridor to another in order to get to the cash desks.

That's one of the best bookshops in the city. Very good range of textbooks for school and fiction. A lot of materials for studying foreign languages. Friendly staff, many young people. Flexible discount system. They also have many events there.
