I saw this place on a YouTube video about the best NY style pizzas in San Jose, and it intrigued me. My wife told me some friends of hers from NY also recommended it, so we figured it had to be good if New Yorkers say so. We live down the street from A Slice Of New York, and nothing in the area has come close to their pizza in our opinion, so we had to find out for ourselves if Bibo's was a legitimate contender. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and the place was packed, inside and out! They had a couple of pinball machines, and it was a nice hit of nostalgia to play while waiting for the za. The cashier was really nice, and she made us feel right at home. When it comes to the pizza, the crust was the best part, but the ingredients left more to be desired. We got a 1/2 combo 1/2 Mediterranean. The combo was decent, but nothing special. The Mediterranean was terrible, with way too much olives, a dry consistency, and thick sliced tomatoes which were very strange on a pizza. All in all, it's not a terrible place for a slice, but it's also not one of the best pizzas in SJ. Service and atmosphere is great at Bibo's, much better than ASONY, but the actual pizza is a 6 or 7 out of 10. Try it for yourself, maybe you'll like it, but in my humble opinion, ASONY is the superior pizza.
