Google
A place that you need to truly see to believe. A must see for bicycle lovers and enthusiasts, but everyone will appreciate this incredible museum. You could quite literally get lost in the collection and just when you think it’s over, another door leads to a new incredible room. Most of all, the staff is lovely. Special shout out to Brian who made our whole day with his friendliness, and Craig for sharing his passion with the world. Such a fun and truly unique way to spend a few hours in Pittsburgh.

Anil Alpogunc

Google
Absolutely loved it. I can easily spend a full day here. Anyone who is in Pittsburgh or lives in Pittsburgh must see this museum. I wish they have a much bigger space so that each and every bicycle can be displayed better...

Google
This was an epic experience for anyone who has enjoyed bicycle riding at any point in this life. There is so much to see. So many bikes! Thanks Brian for taking the time to talk to us! We will be back! Every time we turned around there was something new to see.

I'm a block of cheese :3

Google
We travel allot and hit a lot of museums and this was by far the best experience. What a massive collection! I couldn’t even imagine what the value would be on ALL those collectible bikes. I would be content with just a few of those Schwinn krate bikes or some of those 80s bmx bikes I grew up dreaming about (Haro, Gt,Mongoose etc…) very very impressive! Thank you for sharing!

Google
Great museum for bicycle lovers as well as pop culture! Very unique for sure. Best if you have a couple of hours to spare and want to see something unique. Used to be free to enter but now they are charging a small fee. From an ecological perspective, it’s that many bicycles and parts that are not currently in the landfill and hence kudos to the owner!!

Brian D

Google
What an extraordinary place! I am very glad I made it part of my trip to Pittsburgh over the week of the 4th of July. The amount of bicycles here is mind boggling! Even more so is how many rare ones are there! While I am super bummed that the legendary pinball machine is no longer available to try, I would still go back for sure! P.S. I can't believe the butt powered bike never caught on! I'd buy one 😂 Maybe they should've made it fart powered. I'd get further that way for sure 🤪🤣 Keep on keeping on BH in Steel City 😎

Google
We had an incredible visit to this gem in pgh. The collection was studded with crazy bikes from movies, special designs, and endless little trinkets. This was one of the coolest collections of anything I’ve ever seen. Additionally, both the owner and Brian were very hospitable and friendly, and gave me some advice about my own bike. Will definitely be returning when I’m back in the city.

Google
So many cool things to look at! No idea the Bicycle world was so fast. You could spend hours and still find more. Definitely recommend checking out!

Yelp
Bicycle Heaven is such a cool and unique place! It's part bike shop, part museum, and it's packed with thousands of bikes--from vintage classics to super rare models. Walking through feels like stepping into a time capsule of cycling history, and there's so much to see. So many photo ops too throughout the place. The staff is super friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. The owner is also so nice and it was fun chatting with him. Even if you're not a big cyclist, it's worth a visit just for the experience. It's fun, quirky, and totally one of a kind. Highly recommend checking it out!

Yelp
Such an unexpected and wonderful experience! Highly recommend! Its not just bikes but also so many antiques!

Yelp
Blown away, by this place, and found this hidden gem well searching for things to do this past weekend well visiting on my birthday. My boyfriend and I stopped in here this past Friday, and were astounded on scale of bicycle history; dating as far back to the 1800's, to present day. What stood out the most on display: ET bike from the movie, along with the bike from Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Two floors are in this museum, parts galore, bikes for sale, over 6000 in total, and a hidden florescent room, perfect for photo opportunities, and makes you feel like your back in the 60's. Craig the owner, and other staff hospitality answered visitor questions, checked in on us a few times. If you find yourself in the area; stop in, spend some time at the Largest Bike Museums Bonus, they sell and repair bikes as well.
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
Absolutely bonkers. More bicycles than you have ever seen at once. Unique bikes. Historic bikes. One-of-a-kind bikes. Parts for miles. And yes. The actual bicycle from Pee Wee's Big Adventure is here. The massive quantity of bicycles is almost overwhelming and tremendous and incredible. You could easily spend two hours here perusing the upstairs (don't miss the upstairs!) and all of the ground floor. It's like nothing you've ever seen before.

Yelp
This museum is off the beaten path. I found it on Trip Advisor. The worker was ok. He didn't interact much. The place was cool. It had all sorts of makes and styles of bicycles on two floors. They were also on the ceiling. Some were for sale, and some were donated. Admission and parking are free. If you are looking for something different to check out this is the place. It doesn't take long to go thru it, but it is worth the visit.

Adrian M.

Yelp
had a great time walking inside and seeing everything they had to offer it's overwhelming the amount of bicycles and pieces of history that are inside
google avatar

Bill L.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable my time there was. The staff and owner are very friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have. You will find $15 bikes there all the way up to bikes valued at over $70,000. There is also the original Happy Days pin ball machine there. My wife's favorite was the bone that Pee Wee Herman road in his movies.

Megan H.

Yelp
Unique museum with really interesting historic bicycles and other antiques. Great way to spend an afternoon, even for the non-bike enthusiasts.

Danielle D.

Yelp
When my boyfriend told me he wanted to go to a bicycle museum I wasn't sure what to expect. What I found is one of the coolest places I've ever been to. Every nook and cranny of this place is covered with all things bicycles - floor to ceiling. Literally. I had to explore the museum at least five times on my visit and it still wasn't enough to take in all of the interesting items that have been collected over the years and displayed. You do not need to be a bicycle lover. Be a fan of nostalgia, and reminiscing about your own first bicycle and feel like a kid again.
google avatar

Andrea U.

Yelp
Free museum with free parking, I'm good so far! Easy to find in an industrial area right off the highway. An amazing array of everything bicycle from the seats, horns, tires, helmets, wheels, radios ... in all different parts and styles. Bicycle things everywhere hanging on the walls and the ceilings, just incredible. Two floors of bicycles in a maze of rooms. There were rare bikes, racers, one-of-a-kind, and ones that were used in television or movie sets. I have never seen so many bicycles in one place in my life. They were bicycle repair rooms with walls parts and tools. Refurbished bikes for sale in the parking lot in front.
google avatar

Erin T.

Yelp
Such a cool place. It just keeps going! This place is a mix of a hobbyist's collection and history museum.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Great service, unique choices. Casual ambience with much thought put into decor, both inside and outside of this recommended eatery!

Yelp
I visited this museum this past weekend with my boyfriend and parents, and I have to say we were very surprised at how much fun we had! It is donations only, so it technically costs no money to attend, but it is important to remember they are able to keep afloat through donations. There are two floors full of bicycles. Some of the coolest were ones ridden by Pee Wee Sherman and The Monkeys. There were many cool trinkets in addition to all the bicycles and gear. They have shirts for sale as well as actual bikes and parts. It's an incredible visit if you have the chance, we spent about an hour and half looking at everything!

Serena K.

Yelp
The owner and employees are incredibly knowledgeable and sweet. The museum part itself is not only entertaining but very informative and fun! We went here originally to get a bike for my son's birthday and the owner was very helpful and got my son his dream bike! A lot of culture and history filled with wonderful people. Will definitely be coming back for the events
google avatar

Yelp
The Bicycle Heaven is filled with gems, such as the tandem bicycle the Monkees rode in their series, PeeWee Herman's bike, ET's bike, a WW2 paratrooper's bike, Schwinns, Raleighs, motor bikes, yellow submarine bikes and oodles more. You could spend hours getting lost here and you are pretty much guaranteed to find the bike you rode on as a kid. The owner Craig is very welcoming and will answer any questions that you have. This is a must see when in Pittsburgh.

Leslie B.

Yelp
Love it here. Pure nostalgia. Came to see Pee Wee's bike but ended up finding tons of stuff that I found interesting!

Gabriella M.

Yelp
Absolutely brilliant spot! Soooo many interesting bikes to look at and they have the bike from Pee Wee's Great Adventure. Would recommend to anyone
google avatar

Rashmin D.

Yelp
A good place to see bicycles' history. Two floors. Parking available. Free to visit. Unique museum.

Yelp
This is a bicyclers dream come true! Wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-ceiling, light switch to floor board, is covered in some of the most epic bikes in the history of bikes. TV famous bikes, professional sports bikes, classic original kids bikes, first edition bikes, failed model bikes, just bikes, bikes, BIKES! You can expect two jam packed floors (main museum upstairs) with endless things to look at, read, and experience. Bicycle Heaven is donation based so make sure to have some money in your pocket to share or make sure to purchase come cool bike gear. If you are looking for anything bicycle related, more than likely you can find it here. My sister was looking for retro handle grips with tassels and you betchya she found those here (the tassels were made on the spot, custom colored and all). We went into a small room of bicycle accessories that, I would say had well over 75-100 options for grips. You want colored spokes for your bikes, get them here, maybe you want a banana seat, oh ya count on it, air pump caps, duh, those are here too. My review can't do this unique experience justice. This is something you have to see with your eyes. A young gentleman helped us get our bike accessories and he was out of this world awesome. Free parking in plenty. If you are looking for a creative, fun, qwerky place to spend some time and you drool over everything bikes (or actually you don't even need to drool over bikes to enjoy this one) this is your next stop!!

Jim T.

Yelp
I was dragged to visit by my bike club. I am not a museum person and also not interested much in a few bikes. what a mistake , really worth visiting. The building is filled with bikes from all eras. many I recognized from my youth. and lucked out to talk to the owner who was very personable and explained the history of the place. with free admission take your friends ,can't go wrong

Yelp
Idiosyncratic, fun and interesting. Visiting Bicycle Heaven is a great way to spend the day. Ower, Craig his very knowledgeable about bicycles, cars, memorabilia and people. Craig has created a space on the North Side of Pittsburgh that is truly special. This is a great tourist attraction as well as a place for the locals to visit again and again. Craig is welcoming and happy to educate or just reminisce about the memorabilia he has on display. This place is not just bikes on display, there are also old posters and pictures of musicians and many pieces of Pittsburgh's history. Bicycle Heaven has every kind of bike imaginable. Bicycles used in movies. Bicycles all through history. Craig also has bicycle parts old and new that can be purchased if you are looking for that hard to find part. You are sure to find something in this space that will bring back a memory and put a smile on your face. Bicycle Heaven is a bike shop and a museum.

M B.

Yelp
Beautiful place to visit. Creative, colorful and fun to explore. Free. Just go visit. And there is a nail salon in there, if you need an appt!

Laurie D.

Yelp
What a cool museum!!! So much to see. Craig is such a great guy and so easy to talk to. It's a must see for any biker and interesting to anyone else too. So much memorabilia!

Colleen S.

Yelp
We stopped into Bicycle Heaven after visiting Randyland because it was open, free and close. What a fun time we had! This combination bike shop / museum is amazing and it's a real trip down memory lane. You don't have to love bikes to enjoy yourself, because there are so many fun things to see all over the museum.

Ethan C.

Yelp
Definitely the most unique place in Pittsburgh! You could get lost in here for hours just by the amount of trinkets they have on display.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
A fun place to stop in and it's free (accept donations of your choosing). Quirky little things throughout the museum/shop. They have a ton of old bikes and a bunch of different areas to check out. It has the same type of vibe as Randyland, if you've ever been there (and there's even a sign for it outside).

Leer C.

Yelp
This place was awesome!!! So many cool vintage bikes and trinkets to look at. We weren't expecting to find a place this awesome. 100% recommend checking it out if your in the area!

Josh N.

Yelp
Came here last week on a tour with work. I work with adults with ID. The curators were patient, cordial, and knowledgeable. Thanks for a fun, memorable day!

Anna C.

Yelp
I stopped in while out on a ride today to see if someone could help with making my ride a bit more comfortable. The staff that assisted me today was really helpful, and really listened to the issue I was having. He explained what he was doing and why. All in all, a very positive experience!
google avatar

Vi L.

Yelp
This place was so much cooler than I thought it was going to be. The bikes go on forever and there are some pretty cool historical items in there! I especially loved the neon black light dance party bike room and the big upstairs room next to it that has a working model train making the rounds on a track 10 feet up and choo-chooing as it goes by. If you're debating whether or not to check it out, just do it! You won't regret it :)
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
This museum is one not to miss if you are a bicycle fan and in Pittsburgh. Unbelievable collection that will take you back in time! Craig has a vast knowledge and his cheerful love for bicycles that shows when having a conversation with him. Check this place out! You will be amazed!
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
This is the biggest bike museum in the world. And it's FREE!!! Of course they take donations so a few bucks will help keep the lights open. It's 2 floors and on a Friday it was not crowded. It's great for kids to see. I appreciated the beauty of how bikes have changed from years to decades to over a century. The people are nice that work there.
google avatar

Debbie F.

Yelp
Anything and everything bikes! This place was quite fascinating! I didn't know what to expect but was completely surprised at the extensive collection they have. From themed bikes to old wooden bikes, and everything in between. It is literally rows and rows, and many bikes had stories of what they were used for or who owned/made them. You could spend hours here or just a short 30 mins or so. Either way, if you are in the area, it's worth a stop. It's free (donations appreciated). There is plenty of on sight parking.
google avatar

Harry B.

Yelp
This free museum is full of literally tens of thousands of bicycles and parts. The entire museum was well laid out and full of history. Most of the bikes were from the 60s and 70s lots of very unique and rare bikes on display. They had road bikes, BMX bikes, tandem bikes, motorbikes. They specialize in special edition bikes for example smoky in the bandit the A-Team they had Fonzerelli pinball machine the one he played on happy days. We left the donation because the work the owner of this place is doing to keep the history of the bicycle is rad! By the way we ran into the owner on the way out he took our picture. He genuinely wanted to know how our boys liked the museum.

Michael S.

Yelp
A few weeks ago I went there to just buy a t-shirt for my husband but ended up spending about 1 1/2 hours there! I was blown away! I loved looking and reading about all of the bikes. Amazing place that I highly recommend.

Rick P.

Yelp
Amazing must see museum and bicycle shop! If you ever owned a particular bicycle as a kid, it's there!!

Mary K.

Yelp
Don't miss this treasure of a museum. Left there with friends from NJ and were blown away by the experience. Owner Craig was welcoming and interesting. You "gotta" go!!!

Al N.

Yelp
I don't do a lot of reviews but this was amazing. In Pittsburgh we went to the pirates game, the parks, the overlooks, and the downtown area. Everything was super but this bike shop is totally insane. I believe anybody could appreciate the passion for this owner regarding bicycles and wish I had this much in what I do. I would put it top on my list and will return if in the area. No charge but did donate to the cause.
google avatar

Natalie H.

Yelp
What an unusual and under the radar destination! We went here for the first time as part of a group bike ride along the riverfront trail and Bicycle Heaven was a perfect break point. It is insane how many bikes are in this building. I feel like the somewhat overwhelming quantity cannot be described in words or pics, it must be experienced. There are also loads of miscellaneous bike parts and frames and wheels and random memorabilia that adds to the visual chaos and impressiveness. The signage and info about various bikes isn't the greatest, but just being in this space is super cool and you don't need to have a lot of details on the bikes to enjoy. It feels more like an art installation or spectacle than a 'museum'. Honestly, I found you can't spend too much time here without feeling overwhelmed and claustrophobic, so I would recommend planning on a quick visit. I am excited to return again in the future - I know I will see something new each time!
google avatar

Cynthia D.

Yelp
So many awesome bikes, my family abs I had a blast! I also found a vintage bike plate for a friend with a uniquely spelled name
google avatar

Cynthia F.

Yelp
Great museum. So many bicycles. So much history. So many antiques. So much memorabilia. Several exhibits involving musicians. Go without children, since they can't touch anything and that would be too tempting for them.
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
Stubbled upon this gem by chance and it did not disappoint. Endless and I mean endless collection of bike, trikes and more. Eccentric display making it an art. Craig was friendly and welcoming. Easily spent an hour looking around on a rainy day.
google avatar

Xin F.

Yelp
Amazing bicycle collection! Craig and his team was super helpful in my search of a hybrid bike. They've provided lots of insights and carefully attended to my needs.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
My family had a great time at Bicycle Heaven on a Saturday afternoon. I particularly enjoyed the historic bikes from the 1800s. Whether you are interested in bicycles or not, this is a fun and unique stop.
google avatar

Diane L.

Yelp
WOW!! This place is beautiful! My dad is huge bike enthusiast and he was like a little kid in a candy shop! Craig has a an amazing collection of the most rare bikes I've ever seen. There's so much to see, read, and learn!! I loved all the little fun signs around the place, really funny humor. There's description signs almost everywhere and it's really lovely. Definitely a one of a kind place, so happy we stopped by! Craig also made himself present and made sure we had been enjoying ourselves, really appreciate it.
google avatar

Renee J T.

Yelp
I don't know what to type ...really the other reviews said it all this place is a do Not miss it no matter; what kind of place! so it looks a little bit to find it we drove there are little arrow signs use them ... we walked in not knowing what to expect anyway there are a bazillion bikes floor to ceiling and there is EVERY color of schwinn krate bike a bike of my youth and my dreams flower power banana seats oh and did I mention every color including pea picker and ghost WHO KNEW we really enjoyed our visit you could spend days there and not see everything the admission is FREE wow but you can donate if you wish we walked into the repair section also filled with bikes but these had repair tags so they fix these babies too what a great place *update 5/1/19 does your old bike need a tune up? does it need fixing? well...bring it on over to bicycle heaven! what was I thinking? I took my bike to a small bike shop for a tune up cost was higher! ...I took my husbands rusty ol Panasonic 10 speed that is at least 30 years old. right off super friendly service no laughing at his old bike ( I admit I laughed at it "said why don't you just get a new one") respect yes THIS is the REAL deal for bike repair and I kid you not 80 bucks and his old bike is tuned up and ready to roll this repair shop is the best oh did I mention it took only 2 days?

Ben E.

Yelp
Do not pass up the chance to visit Bicycle Heaven. I have traveled a majority of the United States, and have not seen a more spectacular, inspiring and exciting place, all about bicycles. It has an amazing laid back atmosphere, I believe it is completely free to walk in and view all there is to see. you can easily make a donation or buy something to help out as well. they have an amazing selection of refurbished bikes and parts, as well as a mechanic to service your bike as well. I've never seen a more comprehensive history of bicycles all in one place, you do not want to overlook it if you are in Pittsburgh, even if you aren't into bikes, it is a something to experience.
google avatar

Mona V.

Yelp
Wow! This is a must see! It will bring back your childhood and you may very well spot a bike like the one you had growing up! So many interesting things to see, antiques sprinkled in with the vast bicycle collection. Don't miss this. It's FREE but a donation is appreciated, and you will want to leave one after the great experience you'll have. Loved it

Yelp
What a cool place, def worth checking out! So much to see and very knowledgeable staff.
