From the Monday night gravel rides to helping those in need in the community on so many levels. Their helpful nature extends to more than just selling people bikes and services, while those things are top notch in the industry, they bring people together. Thank you for all you have done for me!

Back in 2012 Ruth sold me my Ice Trike Adventure RS and it transformed my life into a healthy and happy one. Ruth is the kind of proprietor that you would like to see in every shop and store you enter. Knowledgeable, friendly and kind. She of course also sells top line diamond frames and services them as well as the Ice Trikes she sells. My wife and I recently moved to Georgia and I will miss the shop and going in.

I took my bike in for a tuneup up. It was 3-4 years old. They found a tiny crack in the carbon fiber frame. The bike manufacturer offered a new frame, under warranty, but they no longer made a frame that was compatible with the rest of my bike. The Bicycle Pedlers got them to give me a brand new bike of similar quality and they adjusted it so that it would be more similar to my current bike. They handled everything, and I didn’t have to pay a dime. I’m very impressed with the customer service.

Best bike shop in town! The owner and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and give the best guidance on choosing a new bike or gear and providing repairs, as well as hosting local group gravel rides and races, and building epic new mountain bike trails.

Great customer service! Purchased e bike on line had some “user” issues twice they took time to tighten and adjust and explain. Offered to pay and was told no thank you! Thank you again for your help with a bike I didn’t purchase from you! Definitely appreciated and I highly recommend!

Very POOR experience with this shop on a simple bike repair. I took my bike in to the Bicycle Pedaler in Wichita, Kansas, for a new tube. The teenager who was supposedly the "bike mechanic" on duty wasn't sure which direction to turn the nuts to loosen the wheel and turned them the wrong way at first. Then he had a lot of trouble getting the rim out of the frame. After he got the new tube installed, he inflated the tire to full pressure and then tried to force it back into place on the frame, ripping a brake pad loose from the caliper. He half-heartedly pressed the pad back on, but it was not secure. At that point, the brake pads weren't aligned to press on the rim on both sides - one was actually pressing on the tire, until I mentioned that it should press on the RIM. I was watching all this but he never admitted to accidentally busting the rubber brake pad loose. When I got home, I had to get the rim straight in the frame again, adjust the derailleur (which would not shift smoothly after the "mechanic" replaced the tube), and for safety reasons, I put a new set of brake pads on the calipers. As you can see from the photos, the "mechanic's" attempt to reinsert the pad did not re-seat it securely and NO WAY was I going to rely on that to stop with when it looked like the pad could come out. Considering my own time to fix the issues my bike had from being "repaired" by this shop, plus the cost of a new pair of brake pads, and I should have just installed the new tube myself. No plans to go back to the Bicycle Pedaler.

Brought my bike in because the shifting was being wonky and I couldn't diagnose it. Zach spent a solid amount of time troubleshooting it, and got it resolved. They charged me more than a fair price to fix it same day. It was clear to me Zach cared about doing a quality job and was willing to take the time to get it right. Highly recommend bringing your bike to Bicycle Exchange for service. These guys know their stuff!

Once again the staff did an amazing job upgrading my bike and provided me with outstanding service. I highly recommend this bike shop, it's the best in town.

I have a Swagatron Bike.....NOT the best bike to work on but Ezra , bless his heart, did his best and tried....I wasnt mad. well a lil disappointed that the breaks couldn't get fix, being thats it my ONLY means of transportation in Newton, but he tried.....Thxfully, i got the breaks fix..... What bothered me was leaving without paying for the Disc break...omw home it ate at me....Sure they ordred the part that i needed, Sure he said When the part comes we will charge you...thats all good but my soul didn't sit right.... Thx U Ezra n I guess the Owner for the UPMOST CUSTOMER service....#Salute And in Case ppl are wondering ,YES i did call that payment in for the Disc Break, tho i wanted the complete wash down lol , but aye, what can i say.... BEST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECIVED IN KANSAS (tho i don't leave Newton that much)

The place to go for bikes and service in Wichita! I have purchased two bikes through BP and each experience has been great. For the serious rider, the bike fitting by Jason is a must. Get your bike fit and your rides will be so comfortable!

Excellent experience! I stopped in to ask some questions concerning size and fit and met Ruth. Although moderately busy she greeted me with a smile. She gave me her attention and answered my questions with straight forward, knowledgeable answers. I was able to test ride two bikes that fit my criteria with Josh and gained even more knowledge about the products. I will be back to purchase!

Buyer beware. We have gone here and they quoted me $300 to repair a $300 bike. Well I took it to another shop and the repair will only run $100. They were just going replace items that were not needed. The workers were polite but just over selling. I do understand they are trying to make money but really.

We have been looking for a new bike for our son for months, and we're grateful they called us when one came available from the wait list. We drove down from KC, Renee set our son on his way including how to use the gears & how to remove the front wheel. She made little sis feel included as well. We had a great experience every step of the way with Bicycle Pedaler and appreciate their level of service.

I try to shop local when possible. That's why I went here first to buy new brake pads for my MTB. The worker checked his inventory and told me they would be $20 for two pair, a bit steep but not outrageous. So I said yes, when he got back he had only one pair and told me it would be $40 for two wheels. Went home and ordered two pair from online for $16. This review is strictly based on prices. They seem to be good people and competent mechanics.

Thus place needs more stars. Customer service is awesome. They answer questions and are very helpful without trying to push you to high end cost without the budget for it. Highly recommend this for bicycle needs.

I always get good service when I go to this place. I bought a bike from them over 10 years ago and it's really showing its age at this point. Whenever I bring it in, they promptly fix it for a reasonable price and give me good advice on how to keep it going. When I'm ready to buy another one, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Great shop. met these people as they travel with the BAK as the traveling mechanics. Good selection of road and mountain bikes. Specialized ,Cannondale, and Cervelo plus some others. Great service dept, I got a great deal on new road tires. Brought my bike in for a Wichita ride once and needed some adjustments. They fixed an error I made, and made some cable adjustments at no charge. These guys are knowledgeable and very nice to deal with. I live out of town, but will go out of my way to do business with them.

I went into the Bicycle Pedaler a few weeks ago about a vintage Schwinn I purchased at a bike swap to see if it needed a tune-up. I called beforehand about setting up an appointment to have my bike looked at, and they told me to come in anytime. When I came in, the woman behind the counter (owner?) came out and looked at my bike for me, and noticed it needed a few adjustments. She adjusted my bike, and when I asked her how much, she said free! When does that ever happen anymore? I really appreciated that--not knowing anything about bikes she could have swindled me if she wanted to. Just based on that experience, I will definitely return for anything I need for my bike! Honest and friendly people.

My bike just needed a straightening of the wheel for our son to ride but the BP staff this evening was completely unhelpful and quite rude.

The best bicycle shop I have ever done business with. I have bought my last 4 bicycles from Ruth at the Bicycle Pedaler for good reason, I am always treated well and directed professionally. I have also purchased many upgrades and accessories for the same reasons. The experienced service team with Zach, the Aarons and others are terrific, always giving good advice and explanations. The measure of a business is not when all is well, but how they handle problems. A prime example is when I had a paint job fade early on a Specialized cross bike. Ruth got the manufacturers rep into the store and had him review it. It was promptly replaced by Specialized with a current frame and Ruth's team put it together without charge. That's what I'm talking about.

Very nice and helpful staff. You don't have to own an expensive bike to get it repaired here. They want to help you no matter what you ride!

They packed and shipped a bicycle cross country for me. It arrived in perfect condition due to a superior packing job. Awesome job and very friendly.
