Five Stars! A Must-Do in Mobile!
We had a wonderful three hours on the Bienville Bites Food Tour with our guide, Lee Hank. He was the epitome of a Southern gentleman—warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about his hometown of Mobile and its food scene.
My husband and I brought our 2-month-old son along with my brother-in-law visiting from Alaska, and Lee couldn’t have been more accommodating. He made an intentional effort to connect personally with every member of the tour group, striking a thoughtful balance between sharing fascinating facts and letting natural conversation flow among a mixed party of travelers.
The tour itself was a perfect mix of tasty bites, refreshing cocktails, historic insights, and personal stories that made the city come alive. We appreciated the balance between walking outdoors and enjoying breaks in air-conditioned spots—it was well-paced and very comfortable.
Without giving too much away—there are some great surprises!—we left feeling full, happy, and more connected to the area. We even joked that we now have a friend in Mobile we can reach out to for advice when we return. Our only regret is not doing the tour at the beginning of our trip instead of the end!
