This is a top notch craft beer place with a selection of brews to appeal to a wide variety of tastes. BierCab has a lot going for it with its lively atmosphere. One big bonus is that it’s open and serving food during the “early” non-Spanish serving hours of 5-7 pm. The spicy “bat wings” are my favorite. I’ve also tried the hamburgers and found them OK. The service is very attentive. It’s unlikely your glass will be empty unless you want it that way. However, one opportunity they should seriously consider is adding tasting flights as an option. I understand they are more work and add complexity, but for a taproom with this much selection it’s very disappointing they do not offer tasting flights. Regardless, I always try to visit BierCab when I’m in BCN and recommend it to beer drinkers looking for lots of choice and convenient hours of operation

One of the best craft beer bars in Barcelona. With more than 30 beers from Catalonia, Spain, and around the world on tap, this place offers pretty much any style you might be after. And there’s even more in the fridge. In addition to a fantastic beer selection, BierCaB also offers delicious food if you’re hungry. Note that on Friday nights, this bar can be quite crowded, so you might have to wait for a table. Some imported beers can be a bit pricey, so be prepared to spend :) There’s a bottle shop next to BierCaB if you want to take some beers home. However, the store’s working hours are different from the bar’s, so make sure to check the store’s hours on Google before your visit.

Excellent. The best way to describe it is excellent. From the minute we walked in, the owner made us feel so welcome. Spoke good English as well for a conversation. 30 beer taps with what I would describe as proper beers from all over the world. We had a good go at 10 of them between us. Sampled some food whilst we were in and it was also amazing. I found this by looking on google maps, tracked it down and what a find. When inside you wouldn’t think you were in a bustling city. Would highly recommend this bar if you are visiting Barcelona.

Extremely difficult beers to acquire. All are high end choices. 3x here and maybe you could enjoy all of the ones you'd want to imbibe in. We also had the house Bravas and they were🔥 Also a great selection of to-go brews here and full bottle shop next door.

First visited this place 9 years ago and was even better when we visited this time with our 3 year old. Felt very welcome and ended up returning all 3 nights we were in Barcelona, the food was as good as the beer, especially liked the bravas and chorizo and honey croquettes. Great service and very friendly folks in this place, highly recommend.

In my opinion, the best pub in the city. The best choice is on the taps, it may be worth improving the assortment of bottles in the refrigerator. I haven't tasted the food, so I can't comment on anything here. I liked the atmosphere too, everything is nice and cozy. I recommend you to visit. You can allocate a couple of hours.. :)

The service is is always great. They have so many options to choose from. We didn't get any food. Just a beer. We try to stop in whenever we are in the area

If you love craft brew, this is your new home-away-from-home! The guys here are super nice, the beer's a flowin' (on tap), and the food is excellent. Oh and they play good music (fun Euro 90's ish). The Patatas Bravas and the Pan con Tomate were superb! Go! Enjoy yourself. You deserve it!! (Clean nice bathrooms too!)

Great beer selection lucky they were having the Garage Beer Mash fest, they was recommended this bar. Right across a Main Street. Bier cab's beer board was one of the best US craft beer boards I have seen and reason why it was packed. Great service and the wagu was amazing and affordable. Highly recommend this spot.

One of the best bars in Barcelona, if not the low-key best of the best. Their beer selection is unmatched, so if you enjoy craft beer, you must visit. The selections are unique, delicious, and wide-ranging. I prefer darker beers, which can be hard to find in European cities, so I was pleased to find FIVE stouts on the menu. I had to try them all (not on the same visit), and they had a Russian Imperial stout from an Estonian brewery that blew me away. The food is top notch, too. I was shocked by how good the food was. They have the best patatas bravas I had while in Spain, and the sandwich with Wagyu was incredible, too. The people working here are clearly very skilled, no matter what you get. They have a chill, pleasant atmosphere and very nice staff, too. This is a true hidden gem!

Really fun place. Staff is awesome, very friendly and great recommendations. Starters: BierCaB Potatoes - 5/5 Provolone Cheese w/ Morcon Chorizo - 5/5 Sandwiches: Betico - 5/5 The betico sandwich is a must order. Perfectly cooked wagyu, peppers, and flaky fresh bread. It's phenomenal. The provolone is also amazing. Potatoes were tasty with a great amount of spice. Highly recommend this place. Everything is absolutely delicious.

Beer was ok. We ordered the nachos. Stale supermarket chips with toppings. The service was ok. Our group was limited to 2 tastings total. I was able to get another tasting after I looked up all the beers on untapped. I almost just had a water. Other people's food looked good, but I didn't taste them. There are too many places in Barcelona for me to go back.

12/10 times recommend. The waiting staff was awesome and quick. When we first sat down our waiter gave use detailed instructions about the beer listing and recommended food. The recommendations were all amazing. We ordered the tomato toast, potatoe bravas, batwings, alitas al natural (salt and pepper wings), and the wagyū chimichurri. Every bite of each item was flavor packed. Honestly some of the best food we've tasted in Barcelona. The beer listing was also really broad so there was a lot to choose from. Most of the craft beers were from Spain or imported from some parts of Europe so my partner had a great time trying new drinks that we can't normally get in the US. I'm not personally a beer drinker but my partner is. I ended up ordering the burley oak which was a sour strawberry jelly bean flavor and it taste like juice . Safe to say I left full and happy.

Food was good, but there was some miscommunication about being able to try the beers at the bar. The man behind the bar said we could only have two samples for our table of 4 after I tried two so my dad was left out in the cold. I thought that was quite rude.

I am not surprised with their booming business at all. This establishment made us feel warmly welcomed and extremely cared. On top of that, the boss was really really good with people. No need to say, beers are fantastic!

Owners were so informative and kind. Wagyu plate is something my wife and I crave til this day.

The server was attentive to our needs. We didn't wait long at all to order. The bravas were out of this world! I want to come back here just for the bravas. We had 2 different beers and both were perfect- nice and cold with the right amount of foam. We had the calamari from their special menu which was just ok- a bit greasy. But during our short stay we plan to come back for bravas and to try some other beers :)

This is a great place if you are looking for a good variety of beers and some great food. My wife and I were having trouble finding ipa beers while in Barcelona. This place had a great selection of not only ipas, but many other different beers that you do not see at a lot of places in the city. All of the ones we tried were great. On top of the good drink selection they also have some great food. For appetizers we had the patatas bravas and the mozzarella cheese dip. I tried a lot of potatas bravas while we were in Barcelona, but these were my favorite. They both looked and tasted delicious. The sauces they were topped with tasted great and the potatoes themselves were hot and crispy. The mozzarella dip was also really good, as was the fresh bread it came with. For my main meal I went with a burger. It came with cheese, carmelized onions, and their specials sauce. It was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Every bite was juicy and flavorful.

So glad we found BierCaB while visiting Barcelona. This place had an amazing selection of beer on tap from all over the world! So be prepare to expand your beer horizons and try some from all over the world. We each ordered a beer and decided to order a few items off the tapas menu so we could get in all the tastes. We ended up going with fried calamari, bravas, taco and grilled octopus. Everything we tried was very good although our favorites were the grilled octopus and calamari. The service was perfect they put up with both our attempts to speak Spanish and when we were in too deep our quick transition back to English. This is a great spot for their tapas and amazing beer selection in Barcelona.

Really good choice of well regarded beers from across Europe on tap. Bartender could not have been nicer to us. Highly recommend for the travelling beer enthusiast.

The men in our life were interested in trying something more beer-centric, so Kelly R found this place and it's a treasure. If you are a beer person you will be very happy because their list is comprehensive and has plenty of limited/rare things on it. The tap list plays on the overhead screens and there's a big list of bottles too. Apparently they serve "the best beer in the world" from some Belgian monastery too. I'm not a beer person (and there isn't any wine) so settled for a light weissbeer. The Mister went the opposite with a bourbon barrel aged high ABV stout. Pretty much everyone should be able find a beer they can like here. Food wise - we started with bravas, which are beautifully presented as perfect potato cubes topped with just a bit of aioli and smoky sauce. We also opted for wings (delicious) and a nice plate of Jamon. Plus, fried Camembert which is melty, creamy and topped with just a bit of jam. We also ordered burgers because...Americas like burgers, I guess? Anyway my L'Eixample burger was perfection - nicely cooked, well seasoned, on a good bun and topped with a fried egg. Delicious - one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Great service too - genuinely friendly and welcoming. BierCab is a cool place too - a little hipster, full of locals who love beer. Worth checking out!

Traveling from Richmond, Va. A welcoming staff in a cozy space with an awesome tap list. There was a string of Cantillon I'd never had the chance to try before my visit. They even had two beers on from Richmond, Va in a Triple Crossing and Veil beer! The food was very delicious, which surprised me. We had the ceviche and octopus tapas and could not have been happier with our choices. Ross, I believe his name was who served us was extremely helpful, offered suggestions, and just elevated the entire experience. I'll be back someday!

BierCab is cool as sh*t. Great rotating tap list, tasty tapas and friendly service. After being a typical American tourist and visiting Sagrada Familia, we needed to get our drink on and this was our Mecca. Locals and tourists alike, give these guys a go. Good beer and several options higher in ABV than most of Europe.

This place was a pleasant surprise during our visit in Barcelona. My son isn't a wine drinker so he found this highly-rated beer spot on Yelp. We walked for blocks to get here after shopping near the Cathedral. It was practically empty on a Saturday around lunchtime but the server was really engaging and gave good recommendations for beers to try. We also ordered a few tapas and they were on point. My favorite were the salmon and the prawns. They were fairly priced for the area. I love how serious they are about beers here but I'd especially recommend this place for the food.

Flight was €18! I know, I know...that's a bit steep. However, they are like...really large samples of each beer in the flight. So much so that I didn't finish my flight. This spot is a lot less brewery and a lot more "gastro pub". They make all their beers, but the look and feel of the place is a lot more like a restaurant than the traditional brewery. I went dark crazy here, which I kind of regret. I'm a sucker for porters and stouts...but with the servings so large, I was stuffed. I could of gone for some lighter stuff in between the heavier beers, but these are decisions I'll have to live with for the rest of my life. Raspberry milk stout - creamy with a strong raspberry flavor up front and a nice toasty flavor on the back end. Cocoa imperial stout - crazy chocolate smell and flavor. Bittersweet, thick and delicious. Smells like a double chocolate cake. Monserrat - another stout but way tamer than the first two...no crazy flavor here. Would of liked a little more carbonation on this one, but it was solid. This is a solid brew for everyday, not like the others that were super sweet. Vanilla Black Velvet - imperial stout! Super creamy - dessert in a glass. This is another one like a delicious, decadent chocolate cake! This was the best one out of the batch. Rising tide - American pale ale (suggestion of our server). One of these things is not like the others - Obviously nothing like the rest of my flight lol . It's a bit hoppy, subtly. Easy drinking and would be nice on a hot day. While the price is super steep, they were solid brews. I could of really gone for smaller samples of each like a more traditional flight, but I was stoked to be able to try a few beers in one sitting regardless. The staff was super nice and walked me through the offerings. They also do food, but we were headed to dinner, so we passed. Overall it was a great pitstop!

Extensive beer collection that changes daily and cheap tapas to go along with it! The servers were really nice and gave us confused tourists suggestions. They also spoke good English. Definitely stop by here with friends for a social drink and tapas.

We came here wanting some draft beers to take a break from all the cava and sangria we were consuming. The staff was really nice and helpful and they had a good beer selection (we tried to stick to German and Belgian brews). We also got the verde papas bravas which as warned were spicy but still really good. Probably the best we had in the city.

we went here many times while we were in Barcelona to get a beer during American dinner time, while waiting for Spanish dinner time... The beer selection was great, and i recommend the nachos as an awesome snack!

Let me begin with saying we have been in Barcelona for a few days and made it a point to go here multiple times. This bar has honestly had the best and friendliest service we have had in the city - additionally, they have a huge beer selection with very solid choices available across the spectrum of beer types. We haven't tried the food, but on our last night in Spain, we'll likely drop by again as Bier Cab has been a highlight for us.

Husband and I had a great time at BierCaB. We were in Barcelona for the third (and final) leg of our honeymoon. Being beer people, we'd kept a look out for interesting beer and beer establishments while we were traveling, but didn't find many. We found BierCaB on yelp and decided to take a long walk through the city to get there. BierCaB is an unassuming storefront near Universitat plaza. We actually walked by it twice looking for it. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They've got screens listing the beers on tab, which are ever changing, and note the country of origin. We had a great time sampling Spanish (and European in general) beers and chatting with our waiter (whose English was mercifully good). We also ordered a host of tapas #noregrets. Get the spicy potatoes for sure.

BierCarb is an exceptional venue that combines an ideal combination of incredible food, excellent staff, and a truly world-class beer selection! I enjoyed my first visit so much that I went back the following week and was equally impressed. Tip: Of their many beers, I highly recommend the stout; from their food selections, I think their Wagyu burger is completely first class; the steak and butifarra pies credo (pork sausage) was also first rate :-) In the unlikely event that you're still hungry after enjoying a meal here, they have a shop next door where you can purchase even more wonderful food; the pastries in particular make stopping into their little shop completely worthwhile. Bottom line: If you're a fan of exceptional food and amazing beers, you owe it to yourself to give this place a try!

This place is right next to the apt we stayed at during our trip to BCN. The servers were nice, they had English menus that made it easy for us to order. Food is good. I recommend the fried cod fish for sure and the eixample burger. They also have 30 different types of beer!! So if you're a beer person, this is your type of place. The environment is chill, casual attire.

I grabbed a pils off the menu. Very fresh, smooth and refreshing!! Definitely a place to stop by if you have had enough of the Spanish Rioja (like I was)

Very good beers, very kind service. Food is mostly fusion, nothing too special but I liked my sea bass ceviche very much (note that it is really very spicy but the mix of flavors was just right for me!). I didn't like the very heavy cheesy sauce on my home fries but it looked so cool it was worth it. The fries themselves were fried just right. The place is more on the expensive side, but I have to admit I went for the special pricier beers. Anyway, the place stands out in Barcelona as it has a very casual kind of a US feeling to it, so it was a nice change of atmosphere is a city that serves mostly Estrella Damm... :)

This place was awesome to go to on our first day in Barcelona. We were exhausted and needed to find a place to unwind after a lot of travel. This place had a variety of beers and the patatas bravas were amazing!

Another good craft beer bar in Barcelona. They have a large number of beers on tap which you can see on the large tv screens displaying the selection. Just pick something different and give it a try. We had bumped into a couple people we met at another bar we unknowingly had the same idea. We shifted from the bar to a table to get some food. After being in Spain for two weeks a hamburger sounded like a delicious change from tapas for the night. I ordered the paral lel, which was topped with peppers and provolone cheese. It had a nice spicy kick to it and was just what I was looking for.

What a fabulous first stop during our trip in Barcelona. The tapas were well-made and delicious! The craft beers were fabulous and we were give samples to make sure we liked it before buying the full glass. The wait staff were super friendly and accommodating and ensured that we had a GREAT experience. As with tapas, these tapas were delicious and fairly priced. We ordered waaay more food that we should have but no regrets we loved every bite. Check out the photos for all the delicious bites we had; no regrets I would definitely come here again. Delish!

This is a great place for Beer people to visit. An unassuming storefront bear to Universidad but when you go in it's very bright and stylish. The beer is excellent with choices on to screens behind and around the bar (so you can sit and decide what the next one will be!). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable if you don't know what sort of thing you're looking for. The food looks very good as well but we didn't have a chance to try today. Next time!

Best beer selection we have found in Barcelona. Food very good and relatively cheap. Lots of Prairie while we visited (November 2017) and a selection of 30 taps plus a bottle list. Menus in Catalan, Spanish and English. A standout in the area. We went twice while in Barcelona! Pro tip: there is free WiFi here.

I really enjoyed Bier CaB. I had several beers here and the Bier CaB patates and the Petico sandwich (Waygu beef and peppers). Both were delicious. I spent a lot of time here just because it was fun watching the people. Manolo, one of the owners and bartender, was fun to watch as he greeted people and directed the other staff and patrons throughout the evening. Worth the visit if you like beer and definitely worth visiting if you enjoy beer and a great atmosphere!

Great stop! They have a wide variety of beers. I only tried a beer, no food, but it looked good. It seemed like there were a lot of locals here. Overall, it was a good stop I would recommend it!

I've never revisited a restaurant/bar when traveling, but THIS TAPROOM Y'ALL. Picture this: 30 taps with beers from across the world on a constantly changing list. A smiley, chatty, and welcoming team of servers along with an owner who is behind the bar for each and every shift. Bottle shop next door with whales and unheard-of gems that'll have you leaving behind prized possessions to make room in your bags. And a restaurant with unique and well-executed dishes to suit everyone at your table. I talked with the owner about how they choose and receive their beers, and he explained that they have kegs specially delivered so that each and every beer on tap is FRESH, as in within-two-weeks-of-being-brewed fresh. It shows. Each beer we tried (even those outside of our normal tasting range) were impeccably fresh and full in flavor, enjoyable to the last sip. This, paired with the stellar job they've done decorating the taproom and showcasing the beers, has me wanting to revisit Barcelona specifically for this sweet little spot. I hope to see them moving up in size soon because their mid-sized seating area filled up QUICKLY both times we were there and these folks are doing good things.

If I lived here I would come here way too often. Thankfully, I don't have to hand them half my paycheck yet... BierCab is a great beer bar. We decided to check them out after we talked with beer guys at Brew Wild in Madrid. With so many beers on tap and a nice list of bottled beers you can find something that you didn't even know that you wanted. We stopped by two days while we were in Barcelona and they had changed at least 7 beers that were on tap. We had some light food when we were here the first time and it was good. The service was pleasant and they have wifi. Their draft board also shows comments and check-ins from the beer apps like UnTapped. - Enjoy and cheers! Pro tip - you should check their web site for the list of beers on tap before you go to confirm if they have what you might want or something that you'd be interested in. This method is also helpful if you want to figure out what the beers are before you order too.

This is a good place to grab something light and to try a few dishes. Our server was very friendly and kept saying thank you everytime he came by. We ordered the fried Camembert with fig jam, the Pluma Iberica, the Galician octopus, and the German sausages. Food was delicious, and the Pluma Iberica was the BEST and juiciest pork I've ever had. I wasn't too big of a fan of the communal seating, but otherwise, I had an amazing experience here. Would recommend for a late night bite or just for a light snack.

Oh yes. A thousand times yes. BierCaB was our last splurge meal in Spain before heading back to the states. It kind of felt like a cop-out to go to a burger/brewery joint, since that is so quintessential American, but don't let that stop you. We came on a mission for some bravas and were not disappointed. Light and crispy potato squares were placed atop our table, topped with delicious sauces. My husband and I each ordered a burger, which were both phenomenal, and sampled several beers from different regions. Our favorite was a 16% collaboration imperial stout, which we also picked up a bottle of from the store next door. Let me tell you - I am looking forward to the day we open that bottle and relive our whole experience at BeirCab. I also specifically remember our waiter. He was so attentive, full of suggestions and professional, that I felt we were dining at a michelin star establishment. You impressed me.

So far, my favorite reastaurant on earth(and i have been to many). Food is amazing to say the least, And i mean EVERYTHING. Jamon iberico for great price and it is . This is a small spot with fresh local craft beers which were really good. Waiters were very helpful and had great knowledge of all the food! Great reccomendations. Came here twice on my 3 day vacation to barcelona! Thats how good it was! (All the food was great in spain, but this spot just hit home for me! Great beer and tons of options. Our waiter was awesome, funny, and helped us pick out what to order based on our preferences. They didn't have any of their own beers but had tons of selections from all over Spain and Europe, which was cool to get to try out. Highly recommend to all beer lovers living in/visiting Barcelona!

If you're looking for craft beer and good food, this is the place! My boyfriend is an avid craft beer enthusiast ...to say the least, lol... and this place was a 'must visit' on his list. BierCaB has a great selection of drinks on draft and an extensive bottle list. We were surprised to see so many beers from the States on tap. Barcelona's beer scene is definitely on the rise! We had the jamon and pan con tomate. You can't go wrong with this staple. Wish we could of tried more tapas, but we just stopped here for a quick drink. Try the local beers. You'll get some interesting flavors!

After a long day on the beach, we wanted to try a non-traditional tapas place and came across BierCab. It's a cool, relaxing place. Unfortunately, we didn't realize they only serve beer. It was great for me but not my wife. Their beer selection was excellent (28 on tab). Their food was also excellent. My kids really enjoyed their wings and their tapas. The overall experience was 4 1/2 star. We highly recommend the place if you are around BierCab.

Stopped in yesterday during the early afternoon. Great tap selection with primarily US craft beers but some good variety of locals and other European craft beers as well. Staff was incredible too! Didn't have any good but it looked delicious!
