"If you can’t beat the Covent Garden crowds, join them. But make sure you have a stein in one hand and a currywurst in the other. Bierschenke is bringing Munich beer hall energy to this massive central London space. There’ll be up to 10 beers on tap, available by the pint or stein, as well as an impressive selection of schnapps. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"If you ever thought that the one thing the Square Mile is missing is a Munich style beer-hall, you’d be wrong. It does have one. Bierschenke is a vast underground bunker of a place, and as well as being filled with City boys and City girls guffawing about their bonuses while swilling their steins of beer, it serves one of the best schnitzels in London. It comes in chicken and veal, large and small, and is served with a very good potato salad. There’s also currywurst, weisswurst, and other seasonal specialties, and there are some pretty good value lunch offers every day of the week." - Oliver Feldman, Jake Oliver, David Paw

The beer was great, had a good range of quality stuff. The food was fantastic, and really well priced. I especially loved the pretzel dumpling in gravy for only £2. Spacious and good atmosphere, even when quiet. Loved the glassware too. Will be back.

Decent lunch - fairly priced. Stopped in for a pint and a quick bite. Place was just starting to fill up but they were clearly understaffed. We ended up ordering our own drinks at the bar and waiting for a waitress to take our food orders. Obatzda Bavarian cheese spread was okay but would have been better served warm. Two Debreziner sausages with sauerkraut and horseradish were tasty. Mushroom soup with a pretzel was good. Pretzels would be better served warm. Overall, everything was good.

I love German food so happy I tried this place. The beers are good and can be served in the large "stein". Nice large areas to drink and eat. The food portions are large and we ended up taking some home. The sausages and Schnitzel are not as good as ones I have had in Germany but still good. I found the service to much friendlier downstairs than the main bar area at street level. Might sound odd, but this is the first place I have seen which has a dedicated gutter for the powerful Dyson hand dryer in the restroom which was actually nice as it meant the floor wasn't covered in water like other establishments 👍🏽.

The best German pub ever with great beer selection and immaculate food. Especially suitable for big parties. We had our company Christmas party here. This pub has all the elements to make the evening awesome: live band, platters of cheese/ham/sausages/schnitzel, and of course steins of beer! Shout-out to the food - it offered better German sausages than what I tried in Oktoberfest in Munich! The mulled wine came in a cute boot cup and had a sweet, festive taste - just the drink I wanted for the night! The waitress also offered rounds of shots at the end of the party.

If your not in Germany for the ocotberfest then fear not; this German beer garden is the best next thing. Great atmosphere and great to see a live German band. Located in the heart of Covent Garden and next to Seven Dial Market is Bierschenke. Atmosphere is great and it's really busy, I would recommend to book a table. They serve German beer and food, so if you fancy some German dishes they definitely worth a visite. Since I don't eat pork my friend ordered the vegetarian option in advancr but never came. We mention this to the staff but we forgot about it as we were having fun. Also strange that they didn't have chicken schnitzel in the main platter. If you don't like crowded room and very loud noises then I woukd skip this bar/ resturant.

Chef from Duesseldorf, so authentic flammkuchen & schnitzel on my first visit. Paulaner & weiss bier on tap. The restaurant is absolutely huge, a cellar version of a beer garden. Directly opposite the Covent Garden Seven dials market. Lovedit.

Used to be a regular attendee at the Bierschenke in Liverpool St, and so sad when it closed. They imported their sausages on a truck. This new venue retains the vibe of the original. The food is incredible, the beer is incredible. I cannot recommend strongly enough.

"A nice little find just outside London's Liverpool Street station." The taste of Germany in the heart of London. Great atmosphere even for a Monday afternoon, will be back on a Friday or Saturday night to get that really German experience. A nice little find just outside London's Liverpool Street station. Bierschenke do some good lunch deals Monday to Thursday 👍👍🍻
