15 Outstanding Halal Restaurants in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"The family-run Big Al’s Pizzeria prepares pizzas with imported Italian flour and halal meats. Opt for a single slice of the New York-style or whole sourdough pies topped with halal carne asada, Jamaican jerk chicken, and smoked beef brisket. Baked wings are also on the menu, as well as salads and an eight-inch barbecue brisket sub." - Mona Holmes

Google
The food tasted amazing, and the brisket sandwich is probably the best I have had. The pizza is a bit overpriced but the taste is definitely great. Lastly, the wings are over the top. Brisket sandwich > Wings > Pizza This place is fully halal which is another plus

Been going to the Big Al’s location in Maywood since about 2017 when they had a small row of seats. Fast forward to now, two locations and plenty of places to sit and enjoy some of the best pizza and wings in the country. The Orange location opened up recently and has kept its consistency. Always see the owner hard at work and making sure the quality is spot on. Highly recommend the spicy bbq wings and the Lebanese garlic pizza. For my fellow Muslims, the pizza and wings are 100% halal which is not easy to come by.

Google
I've been to a lot of pizza places in Orange County, but this place is, hands down, the best I've ever tasted. They use Italian flour for their crust, and it has so much flavor. They use all beef peperoni, and they cook the peperoni so crispy. And at $3 per slice ... I don't see how they stay in business. And their wings look and smell amazing! I will definitely be coming back again and again.

Google
the pizza is phenomenal here. fresh healthy ingredients. how can I tell? because I didn't wake up in the middle of night with a bad case of acid reflux. that normally happens with pizzas that use subpar ingredients. the baked wings were top 2 I've ever had.

Google
Halal pizza!! We ordered- Extra pepperoni pizza (XL) - they usually sell it as per slice, but we just got a full pie. It was fire 🔥 You must get it, love it, devour it. 100/10 Smoked beef brisket pizza (XL)- also very good pizza, loaded with shredded beef. 10/10 Bbq chicken pizza (XL)- surprisingly good chcicken. Was not expecting that for some reason. But I'm so glad we got it! 15/10 Wings with habanero sauce ,it was really spicy and jamaican. It says it's supposed to be spicy, but it wasn't that bad, actually. I wish we had them in kansas.

All my husband wanted was BIG AL for his birthday and we got it. We got pizza and wings. The price was crazy expensive. For one pizza and 8 wings it was about $50… crazy right. In this economy it’s not something I can buy for just the small amount of food on a regular, but I would definitely come back on a special occasion. The wings had great options, my favorite thing was that you could get the wings plain and pick two sauces on the side. We picked buffalo and jerk sauce. The wings without the sauce were delicious, but the sauce elevated them. The jerk sauce is SPICY!!! I mean super SPICY!!! Thank god we got it on the side. One little dot will be having your mouth burning for 15 mins. There is no way someone can eat this if it was covered in sauce unless you’re the spice king. The thing is the jerk sauce was delicious lol! It was so delicious even though my mouth was almost numb I kept trying to eat it. The pizza was amazing. Everything was perfectly cooked and the crust was perfect. I don’t think I have had pizza THIS GOOD anywhere else. Was is worth what we paid absolutely, but again in today’s economy one pizza for almost 50 is a bit much nonetheless when the time comes I will be back.

Google
The only pizza I crave for years is this one ! Perfect every. single .time . The brisket sandwich is unmatched. Hands down the BEST wings ! The quality of the ingredients is top class . The crust is delicious - I didn’t even know crust can be delicious until I tried Big Al’s.

Google
Was waiting to try Big Al’s for a while, and did not disappoint. My favorite things here was the brisket sandwich (amazing) and the Jamaican wings (super flavorful and spicy). Tried 4 different pizzas- the carne asada and buffalo were my two favorites. Plan to eat 30 or so minutes after ordering. Halal food. Looking forward to trying more flavors!

Yelp
I finally got around to trying this extremely popular, halal pizza spot in Orange. First off, I have to say it's really pricey for a large pizza (that looks like a medium dominos pizza) lol HOWEVER, it's worth the price! The carne asada pizza was top notch. It had an amazing flavor profile. Crunchy crust, right amount of cheese and toppings Service was good and the ambiance wasn't too inviting so I would probably just go to-go orders.

Yelp
The place is clean and I appreciated the positive vibe and artwork. The staff was really friendly. I ordered a custom small pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, and black olives. Unfortunately, the pizza was a miss for me. The crust was tough and hard to chew. There was barely any pepperoni (initially I thought they forgot it then realized it was there, just really skimped) so it felt like I was eating a veggie pizza which was not what I wanted. It didn't have a lot of cheese either. It was pricey for the quality. Kudos to the staff for their positive attitude but improvements need to be done on the food.

Yelp
Came back here a second time to try different pizzas. We ordered online to take back home to eat. It only took 20 mins for pick up to be ready on a Saturday night. Hubby and I got a large half and half with BBQ Chicken and Lebanese Garlic Chicken. Pizza is beautiful again. BBQ Chicken was delicious. Definitely recommend this one. Lebanese Garlic Chicken was just okay. Maybe it's not my kind of flavor compared to the other ones I've had. Will continue to come back here. Good pizzas!!!

Yelp
Wow is the 1st thing that came to mind when I tasted the asada pizza. It's literally a carne asada taco but on pizza dough. We also ordered the mango habanero chicken wings and they were amazing. Heads up they are very spicy with a thick sauce but if you like heat then you will love them. The prices were more on the higher side but the difference between here and Pizza Hut is everything is freshly made and different. Worth every penny. Customer service was the best I've seen in a while. I met Mohammed and he talked to me about the food and was so helpful and friendly. Even if the food was just okay I would return just because he had AMAZING customer service. The restaurant was pretty spacious and plenty of space for at least 50+ people. The restaurant was very clean and had 2 restrooms. I live in the I.E. but will definitely be back.

Yelp
I tried this place because I saw they had a brisket Pizza. It did not disappoint. It was very savory and the crust had a nice crisp. The servers were nice and the pizza came out in a timely manner. If you're looking to grab and go, make sure to call it in.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The employee that helped us was so sweet, patient, and welcoming. Lots of seating available inside the restaurant and parking available to customers behind the restaurant.

Yelp
Literally the best pizza and it's HALAL. The best pizza you'll ever have. It's premium pizza with the best flavor and best ingredients. You won't have better. Try it. You'll be back again and again. I have family who has Big Al's on their list every time they visit. Always a treat. Even though I've been here many times I haven't tried the cheesecake yet but I've heard it's really good as well. It's a chill pizza place with plenty of indoor seating in a nice area. Don't expect them to serve you. It's a pizza joint. You get your pizza and eat in paper plates. It's a pizza joint not a full service restaurant. Everything they make is epic. Best pizza and best wings. Try the wings!!!

Yelp
God Dddddaaahhhhmm. Are u serious?? This is one of the best pizzas I have had. I consumed 2 pepperoni slices. Fresh, hot and flavorful. Crispy undercarriage and plenty of pepperoni and cheese!! This place is on par with anything in NY. Service was awesome! Kudos!!

Yelp
Food was amazing and we always love coming here. Spent over $500 and it was well worth it for the party we had. I want to thank Devin and Mohammed for going above and beyond and taking great care of us. They are the best and treated us like family. I love coming here and it is the best pizza in California.
google avatar

Yelp
I could not recommend their pizza more!!! This is actually some of the best pizza I've had in this area. We also got sweet and spicy wings which were decent. I would say however that their spicy is actually spicy and keep that in mind if you can't handle spicy at all .

Yelp
Saturday, 8/24/2024 - Dinner Time :) Halal!! :) Ordered: A Large Half & Half Pizza Half Large Lebanese Garlic Chicken $16 Half Large Big Al's Supreme $16 Inside is pretty spacious. Clean. Nothing to Complain. Service was going great in the beginning until when our food came out pretty late :( Would have loved to give it a 5 stars it's just that we had 2 kids with us that were under 2 and they were driving us crazy and we were like how come the people are getting their pizzas before us when they came after us, when we asked them they said they ordered online, so she was like next time order online! But overall, pizza came out super Hot and Fresh and tasted so good and the Best; just like their Maywood Location. We loved the Big Al's Supreme way more than the Lebanese Pizza! It was too good!!! So, happy it's a lot closer to our home! Will be coming back again!!!

Yelp
Flavors were worth the price. Service was very friendly and it was enjoyable to dine in. I got the supreme pizza and all the toppings tasted amazing, and the sweet and spicy wings were great too, medium sized wings. Would come again but not too often cause of the price

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE their Lebanese garlic chicken pizza. Got half Lebanese garlic chicken and half smoked brisket with pineapple and both were amazing! The chicken and brisket were both seasoned well. I love pickles, so the combination with the savory chicken was phenomenal. For the smoked brisket, it's savory and slightly sweet in addition to the pineapple which creates the perfect balanced bite. And the pizza with ranch? Delicious. Service was also friendly! My friends and I were deciding which pizza to get because all the options looked good, and they were super helpful in our decision making. Definitely will be coming back for more!

Yelp
This place is halal and has pizza and wings. The pizza is really good especially the Lebanese chicken pizza. If you get a large or X-Large you can do half and half on the pizza. The wings are good too especially lemon pepper, red dragon, and the sweet and spicy wings. Basically all of the wings are good. You order and they actually bring the food to you and it is fast. The ambiance is nice too you don't have to dress up or anything. There is a pink drink in the fridge that actually looks good but does not taste good. Otherwise everything else is amazing!

Yelp
Food was great tasting, but the service was bad. They have a unique variety of pizzas you can choose from. You can choose from whole pizza orders or also individual slices if a whole pizza is too much. I enjoyed the food, but the service deters me from wanting to come back. The cashier was rude and unfriendly. I felt unwelcome from the moment I stepped in and ordered.

Yelp
Was craving some jerk chicken and found this place served chicken wings with a Jamaican jerk sauce. This place was a complete miss for me and personally didn't enjoy the flavor. While I appreciate the creativity in the menu offerings, my first experience left me unimpressed. I ordered some wings with the Jamaican jerk sauce and a small Lebanese garlic chicken pizza. Starting with the wings, it didn't remind me of jerk chicken. It was costed in a thick green sauce which doesn't resemble classic jerk chicken. The sauce definitely had a kick and was spicy but the worst part for me was how overwhelmingly sweet it was. Jerk chicken is known for its deep smoky flavor and Jamaican spices. Nothing close to the jerk chicken I've had. The chicken itself was a good portion, but due to it being a wet sauce, the wings weren't crispy. I was excited to try the Lebanese garlic chicken pizza because I love my chicken rice with garlic sauce. I thought it was interesting to see it translated into pizza form. While I appreciate the effort and creativity, I wasn't sold. The pizza itself was very dry and found myself needing to dunk it in the ranch. Did not care for the pizza dough at all and it felt very frozen pizza-esque. The crust held its shape with all the toppings but there was no personality or special texture with the dough. I ordered ahead online and when I got there I stood at the counter for a bit before anyone acknowledged me. I then had to wait longer for the food to finish. The employees definitely seem young and are trying their best. I was hoping to enjoy the food, but my disappointment is preventing me from wanting to come back again.

Yelp
Oh the done memories of Jr. High pizza day! The over cooked crust, the bland institutional sauce with no spices except sugar. Big Al's sure takes me back! They have giant signs in the windrow claiming the title of "Best Pizza in California! Pl-EEESE! This ain't even in the top 5 in Orange and we are not known for our pizza. Ambiance. None. But it is sticking with the Jr High theme. Service. None. Food. Better than any gas station in town! Price. HORRIFYING. But that's true everywhere these days. This is actually a decent value.

Rana K.

Yelp
My idea of good pizza is dough that's soft and not too chewy. It's got to be able to hold the toppings and not fall apart unless you're going to fold your pizza slice. So far so good, except our beef brisket toppings were burnt, like charcoal burnt. That being said, the flavor on the brisket was much tastier than meat lovers. In hindsight, maybe it would have been better to order one smoked beef brisket pizza instead of half and half with meat lovers. Service was 50/50. While debating what to order we were curious about the Jamaican jerk, but it had 2 spicy chili icons. So we asked how spicy is it and we were pleased that they let us have a taste of the sauce. It's phenomenal, but too spicy for my palate. However after we got our pizza and I told them it was burnt there was no initiative to rectify the error. The ambiance was quiet and there were only 2 other diners. The main dining area looked somewhat clean, but felt dingy. Plenty of parking in the back. For the love of all things pizza, please list the toppings on your pizzas in the menu. I know the menu is minimalist and has cute little pizza icons of the actual pizza, but when people have dietary restrictions they need to know what's inside. It took longer than necessary to order because they had to keep looking things up for us. TL;DR pizza is good but pricy, don't mix and match flavors, take it to go but check that it's not burnt before you leave!

Yelp
late-night craving and was looking for a halal place to eat. I found Big AL's Pizzeria and went with the Lebanese pizza. Man oh man...It's one of the most amazing pizzas I've had in a very long time. The flavors were like fireworks, I have been craving their pizza since I had tried it. The pizza was made with perfection the perfect under carriage of how a pizza should be, with no floppy slices, the pizza dough, and the crust were just spectacular. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

Yelp
We decided to try this pizza place for first time. I'll say the Pizza was ok but not the best one that we tried. Little bit too pricey for what we got...The pizza that we ordered it reminded me Domino's Veggie Pizza. Super tiny and light in ingredients. We asked for extra cheese and we got this. Im wondering how the regular pizza will look like. It was only about mushroom, onion, corn and bell pepper. It doesn't mean it tastes bad but i accept much more of this place because of great reviews they have.

Yelp
My family and I wanted to try a new pizza place so my husband searched up a good pizza place in orange and AL's Pizza first one that popped up and we saw the reviews and we decided to go there because of all the different pizzas they looked so good and we ordered the buffalo ranch chicken pizza, barbecue chicken and lemon pepper wings, bbq wings I highly recommend this place me and my family give it a 10/10

Yelp
Big Al's pizzas go hard! They're always so flavorful but beware of their spicy options. When they say it's spicy, it's def spicy! We didn't pay too much attention to it but we've learned! We tried a few different pizzas - Buffalo Ranch, Jamacian Jerky and Carne Asada and all have a nice twist.

Yelp
Best pizza by the slice AND wings I've had in a while! Causal pizza restaurant with plenty of seating. You order at the counter and sit to wait for order, you can also order over the phone for pick up. I ordered a slice of the carne asada pizza and lemon pepper wings (crispy) with a side of buffalo. Carne asada pizza was delicious, it's not traditional carne asada flank pieces but I think a brisket which was delicious. The pizza comes topped with cheese and traditional taco toppings, cilantro, onion, radishes and a fire red salsa. The salsa and meat are the stars of the pizza! If you can handle spicy I do not recommend you try this. The wings are baked not fried and were also delicious. I ordered them crispy and they did not disappoint. Tossed in a lemon pepper sauce with chunks of lemon rind, which honestly was surprisingly delicious. I ate them as is, with added buffalo sauce and of course ranch, all combinations were delicious! Customer service is what is expected for an order at counter food establishment. Parking spots can be found behind the restaurant on Cypress and Chapman. I will for sure return and probably order the exact same thing it was that great!

Yelp
Big Al's is our favorite pizzeria. We have been a loyal customer for years now, venturing to Maywood whenever our taste buds needed a fix and now to the much much closer Orange location. I ordered the first day they opened here and was excited about having my halal pizza fix whenever I wanted. Our go-to pizza is the chicken burger pizza. As I do not like mushrooms, I always personalize it to not include this. The flavor on this pizza is beyond anything I can describe. We pretty much love all the pizzas on the menu, but we have to get this each time. Our next favorite would be the carne asada. The hot sauce drizzle on top hits a different way. The standard pepperoni pizza is also pretty good. Spicy brisket, meat lovers, or anything else, you can't go wrong. Our favorite wings are the haberno, but these days, I like ordering the plain with two sauces on the side. This gives everyone a chance to enjoy since not everyone can handle the heat. The brisket sub is our families favorite as well. We normally get one to split. The cheesecakes are no longer on the menu, but those were also very good! After pregnancy, there was no shame getting Big Al's 3/5 days coming back from the hospital.

Yelp
Delicious pizza! We all enjoyed our slices. I loved you had the option to get a slice of pizza to mix it up and try multiple or get a full pizza. You know it's baked fresh because it didn't come out immediately & I felt it was reasonably priced!

Yelp
My friend and I came in and ordered a large BBQ Chicken pizza and another large Chicken Burger pizza. The portions written out on the menu are accurate. Between my friend and I we finished one whole pizza and had a whole left over. The large was JUST right for two people. And lastly, BOTH PIZZAS WERE ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS (and halal!). I personally looooved the chicken burger pizza and my friend preferred the BBQ but both were so flavorful and perfect. The crust was also absolutely wonderful, perfect, not too crispy, and seasoned just right. Wow. I've heard the meat lovers and supreme are really good, but I prefer their chicken options. Parking is a little rough if there isn't any room in the back but if you circle enough you can find something! I really really like that you can order ahead don Toast, it makes life so much easier and the pizza will hopefully be ready by the time you get there (as it can get busy and the lines CAN be bad). I also love that they're open late during Ramadan (2 am)!

Yelp
This pizza was so pretty i couldn't believe it haha and it tasted just as good too. We got the Supreme and the Buffalo Ranch Chicken. Their ranch is one of my favorites to go with their pizza and wings. They have so many options to choose from so we'll for sure try more in the future.

Yelp
I heard about Big Al's because it's one of the few halal pizza places in orange county. I love pizza & I just really wanted to try this place to see if it's really indeed "LA's Best Pizza" as they claim to be ! That's a pretty bold statement. We came during a weekday & there was not a soul in sight. The dining room seemed cold & empty. We ordered 1 pizza, half meat lovers half lebanese garlic. It took quite some time to make. With our pizza we just got one can to drink, I guess they don't have a soda fountain which seemed weird to me. My 9 month old was very thirsty at the time & I tried going up to the counter to ask for a cup of water. There was empty cups in the dining room so it made sense to ask. The girl working had quite the attitude & she said I would have to buy a bottled water from the cooler. What kind of restaurant doesn't offer a simple cup of water ??? It gets better. I go back to my seat & minutes go by & the same girl comes out from the kitchen, goes to the restroom, & then to the cooler. She sees us sitting at our table & as she is walking by, purposely opens the bottle water & starts drinking it in front of us. It felt so insulting. I was so turned off by this behavior. Our food gets brought from a guy with a mustache (his named started with a J) & my husband tried asking him for water. He was able to help us out by filling up the plastic cup with tap water. I know tap water is kinda gross but at least he was able to help the best he could & not be rude about it. The lebanese garlic pizza was alright. I plucked off the nasty pickles & the pickled radish - just seemed weird to be on a pizza. I did enjoy the dough which was the right thickness & not at all greasy. It was good but not something I'd probably come back for. My husband enjoyed his meat lovers pizza but said it was just okay. After our experience dining here I don't think I would return. The service was so terrible. & the food wasn't that memorable.

Amazing halal pizza. Highly recommend also tastes so good even as leftovers. My personal favorite is the buffalo chicken

Yelp
THE ABSOLUTE BEST FOOD OF ALL TIME. I am beyond happy that they have sprouted up in Orange County, because I used to drive up to Maywood to eat and this has enabled me dangerously. I first found them on Food Network and was delighted by their Lebanese pizza with garlic sauce, pickle, and chicken. So creative and well done. HOWEVER... this was just the beginning of my love affair with Big Al's. Did I mention they're the best?? I am their biggest fan. No other restaurant, food stand, or chef will ever come CLOSE to measuring up by the tier that Big Al's has established themselves in. They have struck such a perfect balance between sauce, warmth, flavor, and meat in each of their dishes. The experience you get here can simply not be replicated by anyone else. Their Jamaican jerk sauce is life changing. I have never tasted a better chicken wing. The sweet and spicy juxtaposition alongside with the texture and flavor of the skin on the wing is absolutely reality-shattering. I could recommend another wing flavor, but I personally go in and just order pounds of the Jamaican wings sooo perhaps I shall advise you to do the same. Their beef brisket is so unghhhhhh I don't have words for anything on their menu - just sounds. It melts in your mouth and is more of an experience than a meal. Every time I go in, I think that maybe I just overreacted the last time and that it can't possibly be that good. And yet, every time I go in, I am pleasantly surprised and blown away by the fact that even with such high expectations going in, they are consistently surpassed, despite the fact that I have been 200 times before and should know exactly what it will taste like. Their carne asada pizza, smoked beef brisket pizza, bacon jalapeno burger pizza, and Lebanese garlic pizza are uhhmazing. But my favorite has to be The Jamaican pizza again. The sweet, spicy, cilantroey goodness paired with red onion is just genius. I have so much respect for the brains that were put behind this and am grateful for the love that is consistently invested in every slice they serve up. If the food wasn't enough, they also offer Cinnamom's cheesecakes. My first time going in, I thought it was just another thing to add to the menu, but they do not play around at Big Al's. Their cheesecakes are consistently unreal. I do not like cheesecake for the record. But they converted me into a cheesecake lover with how tasty, creamy, decadent, and layered with flavor their cheesecakes are. From Dulce de Leche to Strawberry Oreo to Key Lime to Tiramisu, they do not miss. At most places, there are some menu items that work and some that don't and that is totally normal and expected. But this is not the case at Big Al's. There is magic in everyone's fingers here and they are incapable of serving anything that does not taste unworldly. They deserve every ounce of success in the world and I hope they slowly take over and achieve world domination because they could heal us all with just pizza and wings.

Yelp
Went last night with my boyfriend to go watch the canelo fight They charged us $15 to see the fight ordered some food & drink enojes the fight! After the fight we went bowling & played a bit in the arcade... had a good time I recommend this place for family & friends for any type of event or just in general

Yelp
When ordering, plan ahead....it takes a while before your food is ready. Tried calling several times to put in a take out order but no one answered the phone. I had to order online which is fairly easy to navigate around. We ordered the Large Half Lebanese Garlic Chicken and Half Carne Asada pizza. The Garlic chicken side was very flavorful and full of toppings! The Carne asada side had some spicy something on it. My kids weren't fans of it. But me and my husband thought it was good! The pizza wasn't greasy or oily like some other places. We also got an order of Lemon Pepper wings and BBQ wings. Both are really good and tasty. Expect to be paying a higher price....for the three items we got, we spent about $65! $65 for pizza and wings!!! Insane! Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious but I wouldn't pay that price very often. Plus, when we got there to pick the food, no one helped us for a while! Worst part was, there was no one around! They didn't seem busy or anything like that! The service is not very great! Luckily their food some what makes up for it. Would I come back???? Maybe....with the expectation of junk service and long waiting times.

Yelp
I'm planning a small get-together this Tuesday and typically visit the Maywood location. However, since I'm now closer to the Orange location, I decided to call for more information. I called today at 3:30 p.m., and the person who answered was very rude and hung up on me. I would suggest improving customer service or taking notes from the other locations!

Yelp
I think this review is long overdue because their quality has been consistently disappointing, since they opened this location. For the price you pay, the quality is nothing but disastrous. The meat lovers doesn't come with the ham like it is advertised, the pizza is ALWAYS dry. Despite me telling them on the phone to add extra sauce. It's dry I believe because it's kept in the oven too long - hence the extra browning of the crust and burnt meat. Place has a nice seating area but can't speak highly of the service since they weren't willing to rectify my order.

Yelp
This is another great place that has opened up in Orange it was my first time coming here tonight the food here is delicious the staff is very kind . I got the BBQ beef Brisket sandwich BBQ wings and pepperoni pizza. The prices are a little high but I think it's worth it for what you get the inside is really nice good amount of seating very clean . BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich I give it a 5/5 the beef and BBQ sauce were so good it comes with coleslaw mozzarella cheese everything went well together even the bread was good very fresh . BBQ Wings 5/5 these are the best wings I have ever had great quality wings they were cooked perfectly and tasted great . Pepperoni Pizza 5/5 This is one of the best pizzas I've had in a while everything from the dough to the toppings were really good it was cooked just right

Yelp
Best. Wings. And. Pizza. Ever. Seriously, this is the best and I've tried A LOT of wings and pizzas. What makes the wings so good is that: 1- it's fresh and a decent size, 2- idk what they did but it's so crispy, it almost has like a charcoal taste to it which i love. Makes the wing more dynamic. And the sauce, oh boy. I was told that they make everything in house, which is why it tastes so fresh and delicious. My favorite is the lemon pepper, its not your regular lemon pepper from Bdubs or wingstop. It has a buttery taste to it which takes it to the next level. The pizza was so fresh. The cheese on this pizza actually stays on and not fall off, the cheese also stretches when you bite into it. Definitely not your typical dominos/pizzahut pizza. The dough was one of my favorite things, tasted crunch and doughy. They have a variety of unique pizza flavors here, so if you're an adventurous eater you'll love it. The worker that helped me was super nice, he explained the menu throughly and had a great attitude. Forgot his name but tall caucasian male. The only negative thing, it is pricey considering both of the dishes around $50. But, if you're getting the best wings and pizza it's worth it imo. Stop going to Buffalo wild wings/Wingstop for your wings. Stop going to Dominos, Pizza Hut, and Papa John's for your pizza. Just come here and thank me later. And of course, i'll definitely be back - a lot.

Yelp
Big AL's Pizzeria has finally made it's way to Orange County! Located in downtown Orange, this location is so much bigger than their other location in Maywood (Los Angeles area). All the food served here is HALAL! They have wings, pizza, subs, and cheesecakes. They have been on YELP's annual top 100 places to eat list twice, so you know the pizza is AWESOME here! Meat Lovers (XL- $34) - This 16" pizza consisted of a crust made of imported Italian flour. The dough was topped with a house-made marinara sauce with fresh basil, mozzarella cheese, beef pepperoni, house-made Italian beef sausage, crispy beef bacon, slow-smoked beef brisket and smoked turkey ham. It was so good and meaty and perfect for sharing with friends! Each of the meats had such a unique and satisfying flavor! It was definitely one of the BEST pizzas that I tried! Dulce de leche cheesecake slice ($10) - This was a great tasting NY style cheese cake with such an amazing dulce de leche flavor profile! It was light and fluffy and all the cheesecakes are made from scratch in small batches! Overall, I'm so HAPPY that Big AL's Pizzeria has opened up in Orange! I used to drive 60 miles each way to their other location. The quality of food here seems to be better than the original location! I recommend ordering online so that you get an accurate time as to when your order will be ready. I placed my order online and it was ready EXACTLY at the time promised! I look forward to coming back here and trying more of the AMAZING pizzas! I've had their Lebanese garlic pizza at their other location and that was soooo good!

Yelp
You're not getting better halal pizza and wings. Just over the top amazing. I never thought brisket would be a good protein for pizza...make sure to try it! The employees are obviously well-trained in customer service. The premises is very clean.

Yelp
The pizza is pricey but worth it. Especially their bbq beef and Lebanese garlic. It is worth the drive. I'm about 45 minutes away

Yelp
Really good! Got the sweet and spicy wings, definitely some of the best wings i've ever had. I will say though the pizza slices were alittle small for the size, but they were delicious. would come here again :)

Yelp
All I have to say is Zainab is amazing! She was so helpful, suggesting menu items that my annoying family would eat, she's so personable and friendly. Good job Big Al's, your employees are attentive, hardworking, and super friendly. Especially Zainab!

Yelp
The customer service sucks. I walked in and was stared at by the young guy working the front. He didn't say hello or ask me what I wanted. So after staring at one another, I asked if they served slices. He just pointed to the smaller menu on the wall behind me, still not speaking a word. Like damn ok. I ordered and originally wanted to dine in but after that experience with him, I said to-go because I didn't feel welcomed. I ordered wings and he said they'll take 15 mins (as if he was trying to talk me out of it.) I got two slices and wings for $25. There was also two men sitting at a table not doing anything who worked there. It was empty when I arrived. I mention this because the majority of the tables were dirty. In down time at any establishment, I would think staff would clean tables and sweep but not here. After about 30 mins of waiting for my order, I went up to the counter to ask how much longer. The same young guy said oh you didn't get your order? And pulled my order from the shelf it's been sitting on and he said it should still be warm. Like what a waste and it made me not even excited to try it anymore. The pepperoni pizza was mid. The brisket pizza was good but probably would have been better had it been fresh. The lemon pepper wings were mid. The sauce was watery and not what I would have wanted in a traditional dry rub seasoning. It could have been because my food was sitting. I probably won't be back.

Yelp
So happy that we have a Big Al's here in Orange at the Circle now!! Open late on Fri + Sat until 2am for the latest Hot Slices on the weekends!! They also feature my favorite Weird Yerba Mate Teas that give you a great midday buzz! Located right off Chapman, download their app for rewards and deals! The back patio is looking clean and can't wait to hang back there in the Summertime!
