"Big & Little’s, River North. We have no idea where the name originates, but if we had to guess it's because you go in little and leave big. Either way, when it comes to delicious food your trainer will hate you for- Big & Littles isn't messing around. Banh mi taco? Check. Fish tacos so fresh you'll start hearing waves? Double check."

Chicago’s best french fries - Eater Chicago

"Fries go gourmet with a hefty dose of foie gras at the multiple fast-casual BIG & little’s locations. The foie gras is seared with a crisp edge, and the fat is poured all over the fries making the already perfectly-cooked spuds burst with flavor. Eaters can go for something a little less over the top with the “Phil’s fries” with truffle and fried eggs." - Ashok Selvam

Do NOT be fooled by the sparse decor in this joint, the food will make you feel like you've died and gone to foodie Heaven...so you'll be seeing lights and hearing sirens any way! My husband ordered the Lamb Gyro tacos, and he loved those. My little cousin ordered the Potato Taco, and she said the potatoes were perfectly seasoned. I got one Samurai taco and the Soft Shell Crab sandwich. For me, the whitefish in the samurai taco was perfect, and the jalapeños paired perfectly with the sweet, a nice juxtaposition of sweet and spicy. But for me, the star of the show was the Soft Shell Crab! Man oh man, seasoned, battered and fried to PERFECTION, the soft shell crab was simply scrumptious. Crispy, sweet and savory - I'll return again and again for these soft shell crabs. Also, truffle fries were on point. Overall, worthy of the 5 stars!!!

Great Poboys! Loved the pork belly and the whitefish was awesome too. Truffle-fries and Coke in the bottle, doesn’t get much better. Place is a bit of a dump and not cheap (sandwich is $12 and does not come with fries or chips) but we enjoyed everything we ordered.

Love the soft shell crab sandwich its my fav item on the menu. The fish tacos are nothing to brag about and the Froie Gras Fries sound better reading about it than actually eating it. I also had the porkbelly po boy which was just fried pork belly chunks with bread lettuce etc. Still a damn good lunch.

Creative and delicious burgers and tacos. I ate the Zeus, a burger topped with lamb gyro slices, a fried egg, and tzatziki. It was amazing! I also recommend the Cajun fries, they were perfectly seasoned. Cash Only! ATM is available. I look forward to the day I get to go back.

Oh. My. Goodness!! The tacos we tried were A-Mazing! We had the Ahi Tuna, Steamed Blue Crab, and the Soft Shell crab. My favorite was definitely the Ahi Tuna one. The sauces they use complemented the tuna so well (tasted like spicy mayo and eel sauce from a sushi restaurant). We loved the a la carte menu that allowed us to try different items. However, the cost can add up quickly for those who are trying to be mindful of their spending. (This place is cash only. ATM is available onsite.)

This is an absolute hole in the wall "dive" restaurant. Considering the rave reviews online, we were surprised to find it virtually empty at 6:30PM on a Saturday evening... once I'd tasted the food, I was shocked there weren't people lined up out the door. The Samurai taco is possibly the best fish taco I've ever had, and I've had "same day" freshly prepared fish tacos in San Diego, San Francisco, and several places in Florida as well... The Bahn Mi taco was very good, as was the Blackened whitefish. The spicy pork taco was very good as well. My son had the softshell crab sandwich and loved it. The truffle fries were over salted though, thus the 4 stars instead of 5. The regular fries were just meh, but the fish and chips my wife ordered was quite good as well. This is a hidden gem and I highly recommend making the trip if you're in the city!

Great tacos little cheap with meat. Samuri awesome flavor. Burgers seem to be getting smaller.truffle fries tasty with egg on them. Shredded lettuce is just awful ask for them not to put it on. Place is filthy and you will need to wipe seats and table. Plenty of parking. Fountain drinks self serve. Place has no aircondition and you feel sorry for employees.

Perfect place to go if you want to pick up a quick, yummy meal. I love that they have a parking lot. My favorite food n the menu are their tacos. I love the lil' samurai. For this visit, I tried something new -- the mango chutney taco that contained pork with a mango chutney sauce and the Japanese short rib taco that short rib dipped in some yummy asian sauce. Fries are a bit greasy but they have a very crispy texture that withstands a short ride home prior to consumption.
