This place was delicious. A friend and I went here, and we both agreed that these bagels are top-tier. A fluffy and soft bagel served with some delicious cream cheese that tasted fresh and possibly made in-house. I ordered a tomato basil bagel with scallion cream cheese and bacon. It was delicious, the staff was great, and the drip coffee did not taste bad! The owner created a fantastic ambiance in this place and ensured it was clean. We will be back!

Very much a great breakfast experience. I came in on an early rainy morning and it's refreshing to be welcomed in. The manager very much treats those that walk in as part of the community which makes you comfortable to talk about the menu and choices. Breakfast sandwiches are pretty thick, bagels alone are large to begin with. Bagels Freshest in the morning as one would expect, with a large variety. It's a very small place next to Safeway and papa Murphys but it's a large parking lot so no issue parking.

Staff is always friendly, the bagels are always fresh and amazing. More authentic New York style than Noah’s in my opinion. My new go to bagel spot

Big Apple Bagels is an awesome locally owned bagel store. The bagels are fresh and warm in the morning, unlike some other places that resell you yesterday’s before new ones. The size of the bagels are also a deal noticeably bigger than other local stores as well. The service is always top notch too and the owner is usually there holding it down. Great local bagel store to support. Go for the Kenny bagel with an egg!

My wife and I stopped in here for a quick bite on an early morning. Customer service is awesome. The bagel was even better! I can't remember the name, but I will definitely be back for it. I took it to go, but the inside was nice. Definitely a relaxing vibe where you can sit and eat.

I'm sorry to say I sent my Mother in Law to B.A.B. I had her order a dozen bagels. I've never ordered a bag (12 bagels) without cream cheese & had it be SO HEAVY! My MIL said "The bag is unusually HEAVY." I didn't realize what she meant until it was MY turn, to retrieve the bagels from the car. Omg! Inside the bag was JUST Bagels? Just like I asked.... Got home, opened the bag and felt the hard-( heavier than I've ever felt) bagel. Cut it, toasted it & as I was waiting for it to toast... my husband and son walked in & wanted one too! 2 toasted with cream cheese and 1 un-toasted with cream cheese. CRUSTY (which is normally good) undercooked-gluey, tasteless bite. All 3 of us tried twice & had to throw it out. Cooked fast, so outside is crunchy but undercooked & gooey inside. Nice service and ambience .

oh em ghee, this place is AMAZING. the food is absolutely delicious and the service is also great. i ordered the "holey guacamole" and it was impeccable. after i finished ordering, i sat down and watched some tik tok and in no time my food came out. the staff are very patient and helpful. the store has a very easy layout with an easy menu to read above and a glass case full of delicious looking sweets. I live pretty close to here and i always forget i have free will to come get a delicious bite. The staff and the quality make this place one of the best grub spots in town, LOVE ITTTTT

The family and I were running errands in Folsom and EDH. We were looking for something quick, tasty, and not a fast food chain. We Yelp'ed and found this place. We came in and were greeted with a friendly hello. The restaurant was very clean and cozy. Nice posters and a comfortable vibe. There were small tables, booths, and even some outdoor seating. I didn't see any high chairs but our two year old sat fine at the table. We let the person know that we had never been there before and they gave us a helpful run down of the menu and what was freshly baked. In addition, there were multiple kinds of cream cheeses. I should have asked if there were non-dairy or vegan options (I guess I'll have to go back ) . Anyhow we tried several things, a ranchero (eggs and jalapeños), ham and cheese, and my egg and cheese. Everything was so tasty. We will be back and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh and tasty bite!

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Big Apple Bagel--I stopped in and grabbed a bunch of bagels and one of their sprinkle muffins, and wow... everything was amazing! The bagels were fresh and delicious, and that muffin was seriously the perfect treat. I never finish a whole muffin, but I actually ate this one all the way through! Also, the woman working there was so kind and welcoming--it made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and craving something fresh and tasty!

This Bagel Shop is such a gem. The Customer Service is always excellent from the Owner Scott and the other Employees whenever I stop in. They have a wonderful variety of bagel, bagel sandwiches, breakfast bagels, and baked goods. I was a Noah's Bagel fan for many years, but after trying Big Apple Bagels, I will continue to support them!!

A great bagel store with superior customer service. Every time I visit this store I am impressed with the positive, friendly and professional staff. The store interior is clean, organized and presents well. The bagels/spreads are excellent and in my opinion are way better than Noah's. If you prefer muffins over bagels, they offer a large selection that looks amazing.

GLUTEN FREE BAGEL OPTIONS- owners are such a sweetheart! They don't advertise their gluten friendly options but I've been going for years and have never been disappointed! These bagels were great highly recommend this place they also use a app called to good to go that they told me about where they sell all there left over bagels for the day for super cheap as well as found out that many other places are on this app. Please try them asap you won't be disappointed

Stopped by for a Swiss cheese capped bagel for the road. Met with a friendly good morning while she was cleaning the front door. Always a great sign!! The bagel was fresh, and a generous size but unfortunately the bagel had no flavor. It was not chewy like a traditional bagel. It was an ring of bread. I wish it was a better experience since it's so conveniently close.

First time in this fun bagel cafe. Place seed cozy. I loved seeing all the specialty muffins in the case. I wasn't really used to having a bagel sandwich but wanted to give it a try. Tomato basil spread was yummy on the blt, the bagel was fresh. Server was super friendly! I will go back again

So good! I've worked across the street from here for almost 3 years and finally decided to walk in to place an order myself (I've had their bagels from other people who had shared them). I was greeted quickly and kindly (by I think the manager) bright and early at 7am on a weekday. I ordered a dozen bagels with two cream cheeses and he gave me a bonus bagel too :) There is a large variety of different bagels from jalapeño cheddar to Asiago and cinnamon raisin to onion chive. My favorites are the savory cheese ones but honestly they were all so good and fresh. The texture inside was fluffy and perfect. To top it off, their homemade cream cheeses are amazing. Strawberry was a hit at my office but my favorite was the veggie! I will definitely be back for more and look forward to eventually trying one of their delicious sounding breakfast and lunch sandwiches! Great service and high quality bagels :)

Loved their breakfast bagels! But I was also impressed with the taste and texture of the fresh bagel! BUT, the very best part of this shop? The incredibly great service and efficiency of the owner and staff! Super impressed both times I have been there. My husband drives all the way to EDH for his favorite haircut spot and this gem is located in the same shopping center. We came here about a year ago just to try and now it's our go to spot EVERYTIME my hubs needs a hair cut. It is a chain, I believe most popular in the Midwest? But it's first I've ever heard of it. They offer your typical bagels, a big choice of cream cheeses, lunch and breakfast sandwiches, along with original and mini muffins (lots of flavors!) My kids are a huge fan of their mini muffins. We've tried all the flavors and they're all good. Double chocolate and sprinkles are the ultimate favorite though! They love their bagels (they toast it for you too!) and they do not skimp on the cream cheese! (Our favorite is tomato basil!) Their breakfast sandwiches are tasty and fully loaded. Customer service is always great and they make things in a very timely manner! The owner is also a really nice guy and when it's not extremely busy, always strikes a conversation with us. Forever fan! Even though it's far, we always have an excuse to come when hubs gets a haircut.

Big Apple Bagels is as classic as it gets. The moment I walk in the morning the smell of bagels baking and coffee being brewed, I feel a sense of comfort. The bagels are made fresh daily which makes them more delicious than most other places. They also have a wide variety of options to eat which is also nice when you want to try something new. The Employees are excellent as well. They are always very friendly and easy to work with. Overall Big Apple Bagel is a great place for high quality breakfast foods.

One word, "expression" (in a good way) Why I chose this word... who knows. But what I can say is that for some reason Big Apple Bagels makes me feel that way. Personally I think it is the nice variation of quality food (bagles and other delicatessents like muffins etc.) available coupled with the very fair prices (especially considering today's economy). Overall a great place to go anytime during the day. I would recommend mornings as it is a good way to start your day with a happy "expression". Also! They have been around since I was in middle school (enjoyable then) and are still here today while I am in university (still enjoyable today). Stay healthy everybody

I'll start by saying I'm a huge Noah's Bagel fan. Back home, if I carb splurge on a bagel, it's gotta be a Noah's lox bagel so I decided to get a lox bagel from Big Apple to compare. I have to say, even though this is good, it falls short compared to Noah's. Kiddo ordered the Turkey club and husband ordered the Turkey with havarti. We also got a cream cheese chocolate muffin as dessert. There was minimal wait for our food to be ready and we ate outside at the small tables. Total price $34.10 -- kind of expensive In response to owner comment: food was good but lacked punch. Since I would give Noah's 4 stars, and like Noah's more in comparison, then this would default to a lower rating. The 3 stars is also for the value of our meal.

Great food and atmosphere. The service was also phenomenal. I went in for a Too Good To Go order, and it was already packaged and waiting for me. The bagels are delicious and I will definitely be back.

Great up beat employee. Fast efficient service! Bagel was amazing. You can definitely taste the difference in the bagel vs other places. A lot going on on the inside kinda makes you feel your not in CA.

Great customer service, great prices, fresh food. We tried the Northern Omelette and Big Apple Club on pepper jalapeño sourdough bagel. Very simple, classic ingredients and it was fresh. All the staff were attentive, service was fast and friendly.

Great bagels. Perfect density, a bagel, not a donut. The lox, onion, cream cheese bagel is fantastic. Close your eyes, take a bite and you are transported to the Big Apple.

tried big apple bagels for the first time today. love the selection of bagel & cream cheese options. there are also tons of breakfast sandwich options for those who prefer a heartier breakfast. the bagel was so fresh with a little crunch from the cheese *chefs kiss*. the cream cheese was so flavorful and i love that it was not smothered :) the staff were all smiles and friendly too! a great local spot -- will definitely be back!

Everything always goes perfectly well. I forgot to mention that in that perfectly executed large catering order were several dozen of their Mini crumb muffins which everyone loved as well. I highly advise if you want a breakfast or lunch of champions, stop by tomorrow at either the Folsom or EDH location and order a toasted bagel of your choice with a schmear of your choice topped with whatever you wish although the tomato onion and lox will absolutely blow your mind. Close your eyes and you will swear you are sitting in the best NY deli. Enjoy like all his loyal customers know.

Counter-serve chain for coffee, sandwiches & basic breakfast fare including muffins & bagels. Nothing really stood out for me here. I tried the American sunrise bagel sandwich but wasn't impressed. I may come back and give them another shot to try the deli sandwiches.

My sister and brother in law were visiting a few months ago and we were going to another sisters home for a breakfast buffet that morning. I YELPED once again for a Bagel place nearby and was excited and thrilled to discover there was one not too far away!! How did I never notice this sweet delight of a treasure during the past few years since we moved here!? We ordered the dozen deal which included two 1/2 lbs. of cream cheese. I couldn't help but notice the inviting scrumptious muffins and just had to include 6 of them to our order! OH MY GOODNESS.......The bagels were perfection to note and everyone loved the texture and especially the scrumptious flavor of the bagels. The muffins.....The MUFFINNNnnnsssss......one of my sisters took her first bite of the deep dish apple pie muffin and screeched out a sound that made us all turn to her to see what the matter was. Her face said it all with her expression of sheer pleasure and enjoyment of the muffin saying how she has never tasted a muffin as scrumptious as the one in her hand. We all laughed and couldn't wait to try our own choice of muffin as well! Hubby fell in love with the lemon poppy seed and I fell in love with the blueberry and lemon poppy seed as well. Ive since returned twice to purchase muffins from here and surely going to be a return customer! The hours of operation from 7am to 2pm unfortunately does not make it possible to visit during my work schedule so I am only able to go on my days off from work. No worries though since I can easily purchase a good amount and freeze them so we can enjoy them whenever the craving appears!

That's fine. Showed up 10 mins later it was ready idk what was up with that entire interaction. Was almost like dude was TRYING to get us off the phone and order nothing. Scotty Boi apparently can't read my review because i never said it would be ready in 10 mins. Red flag. Tried the double berry muffin. One n done see pic. Muffins are wayyyyy over priced too. Double Red flag. It's a decent place to go I guess I just don't care for the inconsistency or Scottoholic who can't take a sliver of criticism. Red flag. Wow. I haven't written a review in a while. I had to stop at Safeway and this place caught my eye, so I decided to try it. I'm so happy did. I had a simple onion bagel with onion and chive cream cheese but it was seriously the most perfect bagel I've had in a long time!!! Everyone was super friendly and it wasn't a long wait. 10/10 recommended

Having mixed experiences with DoorDash orders and in person pickup. My score is based on recent experiences. Bagels we ordered early on were really good. The bagels in recent orders not so much. Asked for toasted bagels. Not really toasted. Bagel flavor just not good. The dough recipe seems to have changed. Ambiance of in person visit seems off for a bagel bakery. Aroma not pleasant. I hope this helps! Would like to be able to order bagels from a local bagel shop. Will hold off for a month or so to give time for correction.

10/17/2018: I knew I would be detained at Firestone all day repairing my truck: I plotted grabbing a breakfast sandwich, something giving me a sugar rush, and a cup of coffee from Big Apple transforming me into a nervous Chihuahua-Aaaayeeee! I felt obtaining the morning libation and satiating my low energy truly were the motive operandis for the morning lasting into the late afternoon. The coffee surely performed exceeding well due to the high test dark roast kept me wide awake rather than, feeling lethargic while the breakfast sandwich which I expediently wolfed down didn't even get a chance having a photo taken . . . And that chocolate cheesecake cup cake-I immediately inhaled it like a vacuum cleaner-LOL! The Millennial Dude who served my to-go meal was absolutely the three C's: Cool, cordial, and highly considerate asking me if, I needed more condiments. As Ahnold Schwarzenegger said before, "Ah'll be back!"

Bagels and muffins are outstanding! Owner Scott always goes above and beyond to ensure all of his customers are happy. Hard to find passionate, hard working staff who actually care about customer service. No one comes close.!!

My boyfriend and I were heading to Costco and decided we wanted a sandwich for lunch. I yelped a bagel shop and found this family-owned shop. I got a whiff of the bagels as soon as we walked in and was surprised by their wide variety of bagel options. I ordered the Turkey Club on the jalapeño bagel and added cucumbers and their jalapeño cream cheese spread (so scrumptious). My boyfriend ordered the Turkey and Havarti sandwich on their Swiss bagel (I think- it was some cheese bagel) and swapped out the onion and chive cream cheese for the jalapeño cream cheese (after he heard my order ;) - both were so tasty and full of fresh flavors. The gentleman who helped us out was super nice. We met the owner, Scott, who was a very outgoing and kind enough to chat with my boyfriend and I. We will definitely be back when we are in the area!

We have been ordering Big Apple Bagels delivery for years. The bagels are consistently fresh and delicious. I appreciate the care the team takes to follow our notes/requests and keep allergen (dairy) bagels away from the rest of the order. The Walters Family is a great asset to the greater community. I cannot wait for the Folsom store to open!

I arrived a little after 1PM and they were cleaning up. I figured they were cleaning up early because there were no customers. I offered to come back another time but the workers insisted on helping me. While I was waiting, I realized that the clock that I was using had not automatically moved forward for Daylight Savings Time as I had expected. It was actually a little after their closing time. I apologized, but they were all very gracious. The workers were great and exemplified service you just don't see anymore unfortunately. Big Apple has some great workers and is a place I want to patronize.

Used to be fast and efficient. Now staff is completely ignoring online ordering and pick up.

My fiancé and I love this place and go here all the time. Scott is amazing and is always great at accommodating us whenever we come in. The southern tradition breakfast sandwich is my personal favorite. But every bagel and sandwich we have had here so far has been wonderful!
