Big Apple Pizza

By far the best Neapolitan pizza in Fort Wayne Indiana period. You'll have to go to New York, Philadelphia or Jersey if you want something this good. Additional: It's been a hot minute since I've been to big apple pizza and I must say it's not as I remember it. I ordered a Margarita and it looks great but it's different. They moved on from sliced mozzarella to a shredded version and unfortunately it makes a huge difference. The sauce is tangy and the crust has a great texture. Not what I remember but still highly recommend. 7/12/25 - Not your traditional Margarita pizza but man this was excellent! Big Apple pizza really hit it home. This was a white pizza with ricotta cheese, mozzarella. A chunky tomato drizzle, if you will and fresh basil. I would have loved extra basil but that's a personal preference. The crust was fantastic. Probably one of the best pizza around.

While the creative flavors like Crab Rangoon and Buffalo Chicken are fun and flavorful, the real magic happens when you grab a classic pepperoni fresh out of the oven and eat it right there. It’s on a whole different level. Easily the best pizza in the city.

Excellent garlic knots, pizza, and cannoli cake. I didn't get a picture of the knots but they were covered with garlic... yummy. The pizza was very hot and the sauce had an excellent flavor. The cannoli cake was recommended by the cashier, and it was rich without being overly sweet. Stop here if you have a chance!

My family and I used to go here weekly, either me or my parents would purchase pizza for our family of 7. First we noticed is that the owner never treated my dad right, he seems to be racist. My dad is a friendly black Latino and the “costumer service” that guy gave my dad and other clients was NOT the same at all! The difference was VERY NOTICEABLE. The owner of this place not only is extremely CHEAP but last time we went they made the thinnest pizza we’ve ever had in our lives, it was most as thin as the cheap paper plates he provides his costumers to eat on. Cheese? What cheese? The pizza was not only HARD but the barely cheese that it had on top of it was BURNED as well. We are extremely sad and disappointed because through the treatment we received from the owner himself was NOT the best. We still went because we truly did loved their pizza. My parents spent $36 for a pizza they did not enjoyed and usually they take was is left of it home but this day? They had to throw it away it was so bad. The pizza was supposed to be half pepperoni, they literally added to that half like only 5 pepperoni’s, why!? They paid for extra just for 5 pepperoni’s!? Nah… Oh! And their prices keep going up and up… I’m not sure why is this happening and or if anyone else has experience the same. But please do better. Not only because you should but because you CAN.

really good and prices are pretty fair . do not leave this place without trying the Cheescake with Mascarpone.

I finally found the best pizza in Fort Wayne ! The quality of the ingredients was top notch. Loved the crust, chewy and crisp. This is a very high quality product and delicious ! Thank you !

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I love this place, sad it moved from the original location but I'm so glad they were popular enough to expand.

If you crave/demand/prefer thin crust pizza...then Big Apple has to be at the top of your list in the Fort! One this occasion I found it difficult to navigate the menu. The choices that were on display in the "by-the-slice" case were easy to identify. The blue topping descriptions on the black chalk board...for the specialty pizzas...were impossible to read. So I settled on the delicious looking supreme pie that was on display in the case. $18 for an 18" pie was a very fair price for the taste that we were about to experience. On this gorgeous summer evening we sat outside by the sidewalk. All the tables were set up for two people. The area is small so it was very difficult to move tables to suit a party of four. The tables too are small which made it difficult to accommodate an 18" pizza. We worked through those issues and enjoyed dinning by the street level. It was great to relax and dine and talk at a pa e that suited us. The pizza is excellent! The inside pie crust was thin and soft. The outer pie crust is a bit thicker but appropriate for a thin crust. The sauce had a mild tomato taste and was thin. The pizza toppings were very fresh. The amount was a bit thin for my taste but it was sufficient to complete the supreme taste.

The service was very consistent and nice and our food came pretty quick. It meant a lot when our food came as quick as it did because of how hot and delicious it was. The cheese pizza had a nice pull to it and the marinara was very tasty and had depth to it. The pepperoni with the cheese made an unmatched savory bite paired with the hot and crunchy crust. The restaurant had a very New York-ish pizza shop aesthetic to it and made me feel like I was somewhere in Brooklyn. Only thing that doesn't give me that 5 star for them is the hefty pricing!

I went to JK O'Donnell's last evening with some coworkers and the food really wasn't that good. So one of the co-workers and I decided to walk across the street and check this place out. Well they didn't have these lights that I want to try. I asked the lady that was working that evening if they would have it available today she said yes. I returned the following day after 12:00 and I got a slice of the crab rangoon Pizza which was drizzled with sweet sour sauce. Well the part that that did not have sweet and sour sauce on it was actually pretty good. But in my opinion that sweet and sour sauce ruined the slice for me. The rating would have definitely been a four if it wasn't for that sauce. The price and the customer service were actually pretty good.

I'm always late to the best spots! This one included. This is true New York style pizza, easily folded and great flavor. I stopped by on a Friday night, they had a small crowd, but service was excellent. I had a great time downtown enjoying the weather and scenery, the pizza was fantastic, the ambiance was enjoyable. I will surely be back.

Great indoor service! Seemed like there were a lot of door dashers and online food runners in and out, but the inside definitely has a great pizza place vibe for dates or just a little stop if you're visiting from out of town! All of their odd pizza combos are delicious! Love the buffalo chicken pizza.

We got pepperoni pizza takeout! The large pizza is huge. Two of them fed five of us perfectly. It wad pretty greasy, but yummy. It worked for us

We really loved the variety of pizza and apps offered. The pizza was tasty, hot (we got ours to go), and the staff was awesome! Brittney was awesome when we had some questions about ordering. Greg was super when we placed our order and picked it up. Overall 10 stars + Being from Chicago, it is great to have good pizza when we visit Ft. Wayne. This will be our go to when we are town!!!

Boyfriend and I went here for pizza (shocker, right?) The menu behind the counter is hard to read. I went to the website and it does not show many of the things there. So I asked the staff, who told to to "find them on Facebook and then click the link to Toast" oy. Seriously guys, keep a few paper menus around for those of us who aren't 20 anymore. The woman in front of us seemed to have a mix up with her order. I have to say at this point I was questioning my choice. However, we asked to take the mix up pizza and it was delicious. A few paper plates wouldn't have been a bad idea either. Anyway, the food is great. The rest of the stuff is restaurant basics I think they'll eventually work out.

Closest thing to NY Pizza . Always forget to stop in. Have they conquered the Sicilian dough, yet? I was working with the owner when they were at the original place on Wells. We were very close at one time.

The only NY Style pizza in Fort Wayne. As someone who grew up eating NYC Pizza, I can attest to this being very close to the real thing. Only knock is the price, just like their pies, their prices are resemble NYC. Way too much for Fort Wayne but unfortunately, they are a monopoly for NY style pizza and can charge whatever they want.

A pizza restaurant that is local to downtown Fort Wayne. Pizza tasted fresh and staff was friendly. The only downside is that if you order a cup of water, be ready to pay $0.50 for it, even if you ordered food too. It would have been nice to have a sign at the register telling customers that.

Tried to order from this place multiple times and either they weren't open or they ran out of dough. FINALLY got to try it and was not impressed at all. Ordered the Queens Grandma pizza, half cheese, half pepperoni. It was WAY too salty. Couldn't even finish 1 slice. Maybe I'll try again with the traditional slices, but as of now it's a "no" for me.

The first few times I ordered from here the pizza was pretty solid to say the least, but my latest experience was quite the opposite. Ordered on DoorDash and picked up my pie in about twenty minutes. I give the girl at the counter my name and she says next time don't order through DoorDash since it's more expensive. I said thanks and I'll do that in the future. When I get my pizza home grease is dripping from the corner of the box! I open it and there's a huge clump of cheese thrown in the corner, and the other slices aren't evenly distributed at all. Either they purposely did this to send a message for ordering DoorDash or they're horrible pizza makers! Unacceptable irregardless

I met up with some friends here to try for the first time and we were not disappointed! The employees were very nice and service was quick! The pizza slices are huge and absolutely delicious! I will be returning!

Restaurant Review So I will preface my review and say I have never tried actually NY style pizza in NY, however, I will say that if NY style pizza is even better than the pizza we had here, I need to get on a plane and fly to New York after Covid to grab a slice. I didn't know what to expect when we ordered the large New York Style Pizza. The price point is cheaper than a deep dish pizza. After I paid, they had me this enormous box that I could barely get out the door. The box and pizza is no joke, it could barely fit in my trunk to take home. The pizza itself has a great thin crust that you can fold up and the toppings are very light and not too greasy. Overall I will be back when I crave this thin type of pizza. One major con is the lack of parking for this restaurant. i ended up having to park in the next door parking garage and had to walk down 4 flights of stairs as the elevator was not functioning! There are a few spots on the opposite side to park with your blinkers on, but unfortunately, those were taken this time.

Stopped in on our way through town. Carry out pizza and it was huge! I didn't realize what I ordered. Pepperoni NY was good- huge slices, we have lots left over. Ranch chicken, bacon pizza was okay- like the pepper better. Would go again.

Hello, Shrinkflation! NY style slices smaller than my small hands? And for $5?! These slices used to actually be fully foldable and larger than a paper plate. No longer the case.

This pizza is amazing. Perfect New York Style pie. Highly recommend stopping in and buying it by the slice, also. I recently tried their sausage roll and it was delicious also. Not overly greasy and it felt like the sausage roll reinvented, by leaving the ends open and cutting it on half like a wrap. Well done. Prices are reasonable overall, but when you consider the flavor and taste you are paying for, the deal gets even sweeter. This place blows every one else out of the water!!!

Delicious NY style pizza. We've gotten their cheese pizza and their Buffalo chicken pizza twice and each time it's been fantastic! We live about 30mins away but we gladly make the trek to enjoy their pizza. The location makes pick up a little tricky if it's a busy time. If it's a busy Friday or Saturday night, they're most likely gonna run a little late. But all in all? Worth it!

RUDE. I love the pizza from big apple however the customer service is not polite. I simply called to ask what pizzas are currently available to order by the slice. The employee on the phone refused to tell me and demanded that if I wanted to know that I have to come in. This is not the first time that has happen to me by the same employee. I'm sorry but wouldn't it be logical to verify what I want to order is available. To me this is pure laziness and just unacceptable from a customer service stand point. I hate to say it but I refuse to eat at this establishment any more just due to attitude.

The pizza has went way down hill. Hells kitchen pizza and Supreme. About 20 dollars a pice for 18 inches. Dough is floppy, sauce is meager and the toppings...where are the damn toppings?! On the Supreme I could not figure out what kind of sausage that was, it looked like steakums tbh. I used to love this place but the past 2 times I've ordered it has been absolutely pathetic. My brother in law lives it, (and thats why we gave them another chance), but he has the pallette of a 5 year old. Because of that they get the 2nd star. Save some money, and go to little Ceasars.

Just okay. Do not order the gluten free pizza! The crust is just a rice flour. Nasty. My husband ordered the chicken ranch pizza and said it was good.

Sorry, this is not good pizza. I ordered a couple slices of pepperoni and they did warm it up (for a minute or two) but there was nothing crisp about it... pools of oil on top, limp with sparse pepperoni... not appetizing at all. And to top it off, the girl behind the counter was even less friendly than I've come to expect from sulky waitstaff these days. No thanks. I could get a whole thin crust pizza at Domino's a block away for less than these two sad slices. I gave 'em a try... won't be back.

A NEW YORK slice in Fort Wayne for the WIN!!!! We visited Big Apple Pizza for the first time today and enjoyed a variety of slices. Their chicken parm was delicious!!! EXCELLENT customer service too!! We will be back soon!!

What used to be phenomenal pizza has gone downhill. The prices are too high per slice and I'll be damned if I'm going to pay $40 for a 24" pie. The crust is good, the toppings are ok, and the garlic knots were meh at best. True New York style pizza requires massive stretched slices and these are definitely not that.

Pretty darn good pizza for a busy Saturday night! Also got some entertainment from watching the staff make orders on a busy night. They have pre-made pizzas that you can order a slice from and they'll heat it up for you, which is a great option so one doesn't get to hangry when waiting for their pizza. The pizza was delicious and the garlic knots were good. The garlic knots come with marinara sauce which they pair very well with, and they're thicker than domino's garlic knots and very tasty. Some of the tables stayed dirty for a while when they were crammed with orders, so sit down could be difficult.. but as soon as things cooled down the tables were bussed but the floors were not swept and trash was left behind.

Absolutely, hands down, the best pizza in Indiana!! Living on the East Coast for 12+ yes, I've had my share of great pizza. So finding Big Apple Pizza, I feel like I'm back home!! I'm thrilled that with the new location they will be serving sandwiches! If you haven't had one of Pat's roast beef sandwiches on his homemade rolls, you are missing out!!

I've eaten a LOT of pizza in my life. 8 day Indiana road trip. Some good food, some terrible food. I popped in and grabbed a slice of Pepperoni DELICIOUS!!! If I wasn't adamant about trying to watch my weight... would have eaten four more slices Recommend

We stopped in for lunch today, and each got a couple of slices. Meat lovers and chicken bacon ranch. We are our za at one of the few tables, and talked about getting a whole pie for carry out in the future. The crust is perfectly crisp and thin, just as you'd expect. It's great to have a NY style pizza joint in the 260, though this one is a bit of a drive for us. The actual restaurant "eat in area" leaves a little to be desired, but don't let that deter you. Check it out - you won't be disappointed.

At one point this would have been a four star. It's not really fair that I'm giving them three stars because it wasn't really their fault, but the experience ruined it for us. The first time we had them, we had a slice from their food truck and it was an instant hit. We ordered delivery (through door dash) to the house twice and it was delicious both times. (Although, the garlic knots weren't as good when delivered.) The third time we had it delivered, I had family from California out here and we raved about how delicious it was. When it got here, the boxes had clearly been dropped. The pizzas had slid and crumpled to the front of the box and the pizza was so soggy it was almost unbearable. We were embarrassed. Needless to say, we will still eat here, but we probably won't ever do delivery again. If you do decide to risk a delivery, the pizzas are HUGE. So I recommend feeding at least four people with it or plan on eating it for several days as leftovers.

Best pizza in Fort Wayne! Consistent and fast. We've tried so many places and keep coming back. Try the Betty white pizza for something different!

First time visit. Ordered an 18" Rotten Apple and it lived up to all the hype. While waiting for the pizza, we enjoyed garlic bites and I had a slice of pepperoni to boot. Service was prompt and friendly. You get what you pay for and this is no exception, worth every penny. 10/10 will return soon!
