We rented a cabin there by the lake. Service was exceptional, they came out quickly to fix something we found that was not working. Also, when we forgot something, they looked diligently and found the item and told us they would ship it out to us. Amazing service. Amazing cabin. We had a great time there. We will definitely rent from them again.

Stayed at one of this company's cabins for the first time at the end of May and it was amazing! From the booking to check out everything was smooth and their staff was responsive and attentive. I'd never done a cabin rental before so I had a lot of questions which was probably very annoying but they always answered quickly and kindly. Will absolutely be staying with them again!

This company needs to have COMPASSION! Had to cancel a vacation because a family member was unexpectedly hurt and had to be admitted to the hospital. Because we didn’t get their insurance they will not refund or even give us a credit. All about money! On top of that we have used them years ago!!! Shame on this company!!! MONEY, and NO Compassion. I just read another review where they had a death in the family. They were refunded 10% if their stay. What is WRONG with this company? It’s costing us our entire stay! We could easily produce a Doctor’s Note! Money, Money, Money and No Compassion. SHAME on Cool Cabins!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 days in this beautiful cabin. It was a lot smaller than we expected, but it was perfect for just the 2 of us. Place was fairly clean, I will say my only complaint was the immediate smell of cigarette smoke. Had a properly working kitchen, spacious bed, clean sheets, towels, and Roku installed in the tv with apps! Our neighbor was a sweet old man with his cute dog. The locals around us were also very friendly. Very quiet and not busy location. We had such a great time!

we stay there right after New Year’s. We were very fortunate to have a very nice cabin everything in working conditions there’s a downside we lost our keys or miss placed them cool cabin’s they charge me a $50 fee for replacement which I feel it was very fair. Angel was a great person to help us out and I would definitely go back. I would love to rent a same cabin for the future visit.

Communication was great, they responded very quickly, very thorough, and proactive. Very smooth experience, very clean, nice cool cabin just like their name, everything in the cabin was functional. Had a great experience! Wish I could have stayed longer, but I will be back. Thank you so much. Great team!

Here was the location for this nightmare cabin ..,, 1099 Heritage Trail, Big Bear City, CA, 92314 This place needs a tons of maintenance . Furnace didn’t work properly during the entire stay . Front and backyard looks like a tsunami went through the entire yards . Home appliances didn’t work properly. Bedding blankets were stained who knows what ?? . I am really disappointed with the lack of bad quality this place has to offer . I should recommend to take this cabin out of your rental services before you get a lawsuit on your plate . How your guys rent a place with this kind of conditions ?? Guest can get really sick without a functional furnace , bad working fire place ( living room ) . You are lucky that our family didn’t catch any respiratory infections or sickness due of the not functional furnace. I not sure if the owners of this property are going through some economic hardship?? Of the way they keep their property

Last year we got a cabin that had a rat in it. There was a rat living in the kitchen scurrying around. Luckily they let us move to another cabin and we decided to try them again since they were nice about it. This year, we booked a cabin using a virtual card to prevent identity theft. For some reason didn’t get any confirmation emails. When we show up, the cabin is booked in our name, but showing drivers license isn’t enough. Have to find a way to pull it up on the credit card statement and then screenshot it and text it to them when they’re standing right in front of us and can just look at it. Literally took my 70 year old Dad 30 minutes to figure out. With all the other rental companies, there’s no reason to go here again.

We came to big bear for a family gathering. They check in progress was easy. We know we would not check in until late so they offer to send us the lock box code via email once we had signed contract online. We didn't feal safe sending our pictures of our credit cards and id's. Star let us bring it in the next morning in person. We arrived at 3 am and we're able to arrived directly to the cabin. We stayed at Casa Bella. It was nice and clean. We rand out of trash bags and dish soap and Housekeeping manger Gricel provided us with more. Over all great experience.

The worst cabin rental company ever!! They don't check their cabins and are unaware that things don't work properly and they don't care about anything but getting $$. We had almost zero heat 1 night and they would give any discount for it! Don't use this company they are TERRIBLE!!

I needed healing. I'm been battling an awfully uncomfortable respiratory allergy virus turned into a cold for the past 2 weeks and needed some clean air as part of my medicine. Booked a last minute trip to the mountains. WENDY WAS AMAZING. She gave me several courtesy phone calls to make sure I was able to find the office and to make sure I was traveling safe. Check in was flawless and the main office was clean and tidy. The reason for 3 star was the house had unsafe outside steps, mediocre with cheap towels and linens and motel 6 quality run down cabin essentialsI. If the customer service and breath taking views weren't unbelievably top notch; I would have given this place a negative star for the money and potential fall from the outside steps for the money I spent. THANK YOU WENDY FOR THE EXCELLENT SERVICE. The stairs were so unsafe. I almost fell every time I went up and down the steps. No proper attention for safe pathway to get inside. I'm never getting a cabin from here again without verifying someone shoveled the pathway properly and cleared it. No hot water. I had to heat up the tub water with a stove kettle to get it lukewarm a best. I needed a hot steaming bath or my breathing treatments and I had to wait until I got home to take a proper bath. The lights in the kitchen and back part of the house were flickering so bad we joked that the house was haunted. Or was it???? The only real joke is paying the amount for the quality. I definitely won't Recommend any of my friends or family to book here. It's unsafe, uncomfortable, dirty, and wasn't able to use the patio ( covered with snow) or take a hot bath!

I'll keep it short and simple but this company is not accommodating to the customer. You can definitely get the feel it's about the overall profits and not customer satisfaction and there's just too much of that with corporations lately. We rented a cabin that did not state that it had no A/C and it was 85 degrees in the cabin. We called and messaged asking if we could get our money back since we had only been there for about 20 minutes and if we could relocate and were met with a good ole "nope". When we contested the charge and moved to a new cabin with a different company, we were met with CRAZY messages back, which led to the company saying they were hacked. lol. Anyway, it seems I didn't keep it super short, but the skinny is, I probably wouldn't trust this company with your money cause they will take it no matter what goes wrong with their product.

Nice place we went in 2022 and had a blast. The cabins are nice and clean ,spacious , and fit The needs of the family. I highly recommended cool cabins

Looking at the lower star reviews I would assume that these are from first time renters. Outside of the cabin was a little rough and the inside was nicer than some and rougher than others BUT one thing for sure is that it was very clean. It absolutely did the job and I would not hesitate to rent from Big Bear Cool Cabins again. We arrived to the mountain early and they notified me that I could enter cabin 2 hours before check-in. I also love that the pricing is straight forward...

Be aware the if your Hispanic , if your skin is brown you will get charged , if we were white we would have no issues

Elizabeth is an amazing agent. She was such a help renting a cabin recently. Elizabeth made it easy for me to add another day to my stay too. I really appreciate her great support and friendliness. She made extending my stay easy. We've had a great time in a great cabin.

Been with Cool Cabins for over 15 years. Between our STRs in Big Bear and Mammoth Lakes, we've had 5 rental management companies. Cool Cabins is the best of them by far. Every time we use our condo we're always impressed with how clean and nicely decorated it is. And anytime we need any repairs or replacements we can't do ourselves, they have reasonable prices and good handymen. Their marketing is also excellent. All their employees, especially Kayla, are very helpful and easy to work with.

As a harbor-dweller, I'm used to clear communication and straightforward dealings. So, when I rented a cabin from Cool Bear Cabin, I expected the same. However, that didn't turn out to be the case. I found myself in a pinch when I couldn't find a babysitter for my 4-year-old, leading to one extra person in our party. They called me back, suggesting different options, but never once mentioned it would cost more. When I finally spoke to a rep, they casually said it would be an extra 75 dollars. I had already paid in full and was taken aback by this sudden increase. After choosing another cabin, thinking that the matter was settled, I discovered an additional charge of 259 dollars on top of the 1400 I had already paid. This was done without my knowledge or approval, a practice that I find highly unprofessional and possibly unlawful. I won't let this slide easily. I am going to make sure this issue gets the attention it deserves and will be contacting the relevant authorities. In my eyes, they've crossed the line by violating both state and federal laws.

We had a great experience with this company. Excellent communication, pictures reflected the cabin we stayed in, they even let us check in a few hours early. We feel like it was a good value for our money. It was VERY clean! Our cabin had a hot tub, fireplace, games and super comfy beds. We will definitely use BBCC again!

As a newly minted retiree, we still wanted to enjoy going away but with more cost awareness but without settling for mediocrity. We wanted a log cabin with all the bells and whistles within walking distance to the lake and, to our favorite breakfast and dinner places. Big Bear Cool Cabins delivered when they booked us at 424 Mountainaire Lane. It is within .7 miles from city center ... and just a few blocks to the lake. Best of all, the cabin was amazing! The open concept front room with cathedral ceiling made us feel so spoiled with all the luxurious amenities. While we never used the kitchen since we dined out the whole time, you can absolutely cook a gourmet meal with everything at your fingertips ... with plenty of seating .. in fact, the property accommodates 9! The Master Bedroom with the en-suite and walk in closet was so divine ... especially for someone who always over packs without fail. There are 2 other bedrooms, 1 with 2 double beds and the third with bunk beds. With just the 2 of us with all the space, we felt a little spoiled rotten but for the amazing rate .. we definitely did not feel bad for too long. The laundry room came in handy so we ended up going home with our bags packed with clean clothes. This property checks all the boxes ... We hope we can secure this property again come summer time but this time, perhaps bring 7 friends to enjoy this wonderful property. -Virginia-

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!! i'm not one to usually write reviews, but want to share my experience so you know what to expect. 1. FALSE ADVERTISING !!! i booked the cabin knowing it has a hot-tub, after i get there and see there's no water in it and calling them, they say that it was NOT-permitted and they had taken out of the advertisement, which first why is the add there in the first place if its not permitted, second what happens to people who paid extra for a place that includes a hot-tub. i could've gotten a much cheaper option with no hot-tub. 2. Be prepare to go get you own propane tank if you intent to use the grill, because gas ran out after 2 minutes of me using it the very first night we arrived. 3. I'm glad places like these are pet friendly, but i'm not happy about housekeeping not at least vacuuming the floors to get rid of the hair. There was dog hair at every inch of the place, including couches, which i couldn't sit on unless i put a cover first, all the beds and counters, inside of every drawer. Every piece of my clothing was covered in hair. 4. Do not forget anything, because they will simply tell you that they checked and couldn't find it, after i mentioned exactly where my laptop charger was left behind.

The cabin we rented on 2/8-2/11 Bear Family Ranch, was very dirty. All the utensils, pots, cans, plates, cups etc in the kitchen were dirty. We washed everything before we used it. The dishwasher had a bunch of white build up in it, so I don't know if things were actually clean after we washed them. We ended up buying plastic utensils and cups and paper plates to use instead of the nasty stuff in the kitchen. When you used the garbage disposal dirty water would come up on the other side of the sink. We had to keep resetting the water heater a few times a day because it kept shutting off, nobody likes a cold shower. We had a jet tub in our bathroom that had dirty stuff in the bottom of it. The toilet in our bathroom was scratched up and gross to sit on. The whole cabin was disgusting, DON'T RENT FROM THEM!!!!!!! The PacMan game didn't work, I called and they sent a repair guy out. He said he fixed it, when we tried to play it after he left the buttons didn't work, so the game didn't work. I called back and they said the game is broken and a manager would call me with a refund since the game isn't working...nobody ever called me!!

I recently purchased a Cabin in Big Bear Lake and decided to use it when I am not as a short term rental. I have never done this before and knew nothing at all about this business model. I called Big Bear Cool Cabins to find out how to start the process and man did I get lucky. A very nice person named Barbara Zamudio quickly picked up the phone and has been an educator, a Consultant, and a very knowledgeable and helpful consultant for me. Every bit of advice Barbara Zamudio has given me has been extremely helpful and has driven more renters to my short term rental property. All this in the first 90 days! When I need a reference for work or service in town she has 2 or 3 references, when I need advice on repairs or upgrades she has been right there to help me every time! If you call Cool Cabins be sure to ask for Barbara Zamudio and you will get all the answers and assistance that you would ever want. Book A Big Bear Cool Cabin and Lots of Fun you'll be Havin' Thank You Barbara Zamudio!!!

Pros: Quiet neighborhood. Pet friendly. Nice kitchen area. Cons: They don't provide a snow shovel unless you call and ask for one. You have to go drop off your own trash. The bathtub drain would drain very slowly. The cabin didn't have very good lighting especially in kitchen and living room area.

Escape for All Seasons unit 117 The location can't be beat. You can see chair lift 4 & walk to it from the back patio (sort of). The unit is definitely dated inside compared to what I can see of other units around. The carpet, despite the remove your shoes sign, looks dirty & stained. The bottom of my socks were black after the first night! Gross.... The lighting through the entire unit is terrible, it's VERY dark. The chandelier over the fireplace does not work; the light switch on the wall near the entry goes to that light, but the light will only stay on if you stand there holding it! The gas fireplace is a nice addition to the living room, but the seating is ridiculous for a unit that sleeps 8! 1 couch & 1 chair.....I guess you could always use the kitchen chairs or barstools, but that isn't a terribly comfortable option. We did appreciate the glove dryer next to the fireplace. The kitchen is not well appointed. We were able to cobble together with things to make meals, but there are no serving bowls, 1 plastic "mixing bowl" & only 2 oven safe glass cooking pans. There are some metal pans, but they aren't terrible clean. The top of refrigerator is filthy, as was the top of the microwave. The dishwasher sounds like something is wrong & the garbage disposal could wake the dead! There is a strange odor coming from the fridge, almost like a moldy smell, but it did keep the temperature nice & cold. We also felt we had to wash everything before using. I can't believe we only had 1/2 roll of paper towels..... for what we paid, you would think we would at least have a full roll or a backup. There were only 3 of us, so we only used the 2 queen beds.....the bed in the actual bedroom was not terribly comfortable & the bedding didn't feel terribly clean. I really appreciated the empty cookie wrappers between the bed & the nightstand! There is a flat sheet on the mattress that doesn't stay tucked in is a little gross & every time someone moved, it felt like you were rocking on a boat! Oh & don't plug anything into the outlet closest to the door, it's connected to the light switch....took me 2 days to figure that out, after wondering why my phone & watch didn't charge over night! The amount of dust on the cable box on the dresser in this room was SO thick, my husband wrote "clean me" in the dust! The queen bed in the loft was definitely more comfortable, but again a flat sheet over the mattress & the bed being pushed up against the wall does not make it conducive for 2 people to sleep in, if the person against the wall has to get up in the night.; not to mention if there is someone sleeping on the trundle! There are the windows in this "room" and only the small one had a curtain. The 2nd (larger) window had nothing to cover it, so the early morning light was definitely an early wake up call! The bathrooms were dated and absolutely NOT clean. Why on earth anyone has carpet in a bathroom is beyond me?! The shower heads were ridiculously low; so low my 6'1" husband compared it to Will Ferrell in Elf, showering up at the North Pole! The towels were terrible....no better than staying at a Motel 6! There was a ton of dust on the top of the hallway shower, and hair that didn't belong to any of us inside the tub. Also the stoppers had to be pulled out of both tubs to prevent the tub from filling up with water if you were showering. The medicine cabinet shelves were dirty and had dead bugs on them. The furnace is in a closet next to the bedrooms & was so loud we wound up keeping the temperature at 55 so it wouldn't go on in the middle of the night & wake us all up! The back patio has no BBQ & no furniture, which was a bummer, and it completely flooded one night during a downpour. There is a "gate" that I think people are supposed to use to go to Snow Summit, but you have to scale a partial wall to walk out of it. The parking is minimal.... Not sure if the complex is full, where people are meant to park, and there are no assigned spots for any units (that I could see). We booked through Cool Cabins, and not the property directly, and were not told we needed a parking pass. Had we not read the property book inside the unit, we would NEVER have known we needed one, had I never messaged Cool Cabins, I would not have known I had to go to the on-site office to get one.....make sure if this is you, you bring something showing your unit number or they won't give you a pass! You also have to make sure you get one, as the complex manager is tow-happy! We paid almost $3k for 4 nights, which included $129.38 for cleaning & $340.51 for a "service fee"! For what? For the high cost, this property is disappointing, and in my opinion sub-standard. I give it 2 stars, however, as the location really cannot be beat!

CoolCabins will SET YOU UP with BigBear Code Enforcement. Citation was $500-$1000, maybe CoolCabins is getting kick back$ IDK I called them for parking instructions and they called the Code Enforcement while pretending to help me on the other line, this all took place within the first 2hrs we got there. DONT stay with CoolCabins, instead of helping they'll remind you that you signed a contract which includes them releasing your personal information to people who are NOT Law Enforcement.

Disappointed to say the least! I arrive to a cabin I couldn't get into! I waited for over an hour for a handyman to come and open the door! All of this in the hot sun of the deck that doesn't have any shade! I was told there's no umbrella with the property, so I don't get one! The house was stuffy and extremely hot as no one had aired it out, or even prepared it for incoming guests! I am expected to do my own dishes and take my own trash, and I pay more than if I was staying in a hotel room that they would do all this for me! It's not like it's A beautiful cabin with spectacular views! I'm in a neighborhood with cabins practically on top of us no privacy whatsoever. All of this and I haven't even been here for 24 hours! Anytime I have called to ask for anything I've had to call two sometimes three times. I needed this vacation so bad and now I'm more depressed than before I came.

After, some ruff start to our stay, it turned out to be a wonderful stay. Cabin was clean and comfortable.

We come to Big Bear Lake several times a year and we always choose BBCC for the impeccable customer service and cabins we received from the time we made our reservation to the arrival to our cabin. Our Thanksgiving tradition is to come each year and celebrate Thanksgiving at Big Bear Lake! This year was no different than last year with the treatment we received from the BBCC staff! This year special kudos to Elizabeth and Melody for providing us exceptional customer service when we checked in today! They both went above and beyond to start out our stay to be an outstanding experience! Elizabeth and Melody exhibited the true meaning of Customer Service they provide to customers! The Management staff should be extremely proud to have Elizabeth and Melody on the BBCC Staff and they both should be recognized and rewarded for a job well done! Respectfully, Lou Freda

Out of all my time dealing with Cabin Rentals, I must say, Gricel and Star have been the most pleasant to deal with! Their customer service is amazing! Consider giving both of them a raise because customer service seems to be getting worse by the day, and they are the exception!

Just finished my fourth stay with BBCC and has another great experience. Easy bookings, great home (lots of variety, we've stayed in a little apartment and a huge lakeside house!) and really friendly service. Big Bear has a ton of rules on rentals which can be a real turn off in staying in a home vs hotel, but the staff made navigating the rules easy to handle. See you guys in the winter!

We're renting our cabin with BBCC and we're very happy with the attention to detail from their housekeeping team. Besides keeping the place very clean, it's the small things that make a difference for guests, like setting up the towels in visually appealing ways. Thank you Armando, Antonia, and Barbara!

I had such a great experience with big bear cool cabins! Everything was easy from the start of booking online to checking out. The cabin we rented was the Cornerstone cabin and it was perfect. Everything was described in the description and perfect when we got there. The only thing that sucks was that we had to leave it the way it was when we got there (which means cleaning up after yourself unlike a hotel, but it's understandable). The staff when checking in were super friendly and helpful. Our cabin location was great. We were in driving distance of everything. The recliner chairs were comfortable and heater was nice and warm. The bed in the master bedroom was a little worn out but still ok. The loft was nice upstairs. Hot tub and gas bbq grill was amazing. I got to sit in the hot tub and see the nice view of the snow and forest. It was perfect for my 2 year old daughter and loved how it was pet friendly. Our yard was huge and got to have a snowball fight. The only thing that I didn't like was how small the shower was. It made it hard to move and felt claustrophobic. I literally had to force my daughter to shower and she usually loves bathing/showering.

I'm a property owner, Boulder Pines in Big Bear Lake and I use Cool Cabins to handle rentals. The company has everything thing I need to manage my property. Adrienne Valencia is my personal Property Manager and is my connection to all of the services Cool Cabins provides owners. She is pretty much available be phone or email whenever I have a question. She will designate backup should she ever be unavailable. Her follow through is excellent for finding answers if she doesn't know already. We are having our first anniversary and I look forward to working together.

We have had the best experience as an owner to work with Cool Cabins for the past 19 years. After an extensive interviewe process we ultimately decided on Cool Cabins and they have proved to be so outstanding, reliable and professional. We have never had any problems that were not addressed immediately, their staff is so wondereful (always easy to reach immediately) and they are very good at their marketing and promotions. We work with Barbara Zamudio and Jessica Henry who also are outstanding and I think the years we have been with them also speak for themselves. You will be so happy you chose Big Bear Cool Cabins!

Worst rental experience ever. We booked on Air BNB, they made us drive all the way to their office to sign their internal papers after we had already confirmed then had to drive to the other side of the lake to our cabin. Added an hour to our drive. If you're booking through Air bnb, don't add an hour to someone's trip be having them meet you at your office 30 minutes away.

Great agency to rent a cabin from. They offer luxury as well affordable cabins. Stays opens to 11pm which is a plus. Customer service is horrible, not the ladies in the office during check in but the representative over the phone. We had an issue with the home alarm not working, we called the phone # listed in the book, offered in the cabin, and she was rude as hell. Not hopefully at all. In some many ways, she tried to insult my intelligence. Rude as hell. Only for the maintenance man to still have to come fix the issue. However once that issue was resolved, we enjoyed our weekend in the beautiful cabin. Must sure to do the yelp check in for free wood!!

We will definitely be booking with cool cabins. Good Communication easy check in and check out. We had a little heating issue with our rental. We made a quick call and it was fixed fast. We will definitely be renting here again.

Recently stayed at Alpine Retreat Cali Bear. Beautiful location, very smooth and comfortable getting booking. Loved the location and beauty. Very well kept cabin.

All in all a super easy experience, quick and friendly responses..reasonably priced, great cabin location! We rolled in during the biggest storm of the year - they were helpful and patient when I forgot the credit card that the stay had been booked with. The cabin was prepared as promised (and pre-paid for) fireplace was ready and the heat was on! We started shoveling after a long day at the mountain when the plow provided by cool cabins rolled up! He was fast professional and punctual - came the next few days to ensure we could get in and out of the driveway with ease.. Needed to extend our stay due to road closures and it was as simple as a call to the office. Would recommend big bear cool cabins for sure! The extra $$ really does ensure peace of mind...thanks big bear cool cabins we'll be back!

Didn't know what to expect when my neighbors booked this place for us for the weekend. It's definitely a quaint little place with LOTS of character. The first major thing that did happen when we first got there, my friend got stuck in the bathroom for about 30 mins, basically she got locked inside and it wouldn't open from both sides. She almost had a panic attack with that going on, but she was able to squeeze out of the window, thankfully! We did call the front desk fellows about that and someone did come, and he did say he was going to come here prior to us showing up to check on everything, but didn't have a chance to... So we just decided to keep the door knob open and stuff it with a towel for privacy. For the most part, everything was working for our basic needs - can't really complain about that. For the price, it wasn't too horrible, except another door got stuck the next day (another friend got stuck outside of the patio area...) Overall, not sure if I'd be back based on our experience. But it was still good to try it regardless so we even know about it.

We have been managed by Cool Cabins for almost a year now and could not be happier. The home is spotlessly clean each and every time and communication is second to none. Went through several property managers and nothing compares to Cool Cabins quality. If you are an owner or customer you won't be disappointed

'That's a no for me dawg!' I have a hard time giving rentals a 1-star review, but alas, this place deserves it. The cabin itself was kind of cute, other than the shower looking like it was built for a hobit and nearly impossible to shower in. My biggest gripe by far is that literally 4 houses next to us were all undergoing remodeling and construction--which went on sometimes after 10 pm. Buzz saws, drills, and hammering all damn night. You might be saying, "well, that's not the rental company's problem." Perhaps, except that all of the houses being worked on were rented through Cool Cabins. We let them know that this was happening and they said "Sorry, but we have no way of knowing when the owner is going to do renovations." Okay cool, coooool, cool cool cool cool. So then, how do you know that you are not allowed to rent that property out to someone? Doesn't make any sense. So you could potentially rent that cabin out to someone only for them to discover there's a construction crew working on it? I don't think so. That's a complete LIE! You know damn well what's happening with your rentals. At the very least we expected some sort of comp. NOPE! Nothing. Nada. So, we ended up enduring 4 nights of buzz saws and construction work going on all around us the entire time. We tried to be out and in town as much as possible. I even went as far as to ask our immediate neighbor below us if he wouldn't mind stopping around 8 p.m. so we could relax a little. He said, "No, sorry, I have to get this done so I'm going to work all through every night." I told him that quiet hours start at 9 p.m. and that is for light noise, you shouldn't have super loud construction noises past 7 p.m. according to the Big Bear City Ordinance. He looked surprised by this but still insisted he was going to work through the night. I got into a heated argument with this guy who was the owner, and told me, "I'm not in the mood for this, call whoever you need to call, call the cops, or whoever, I don't care." I said, "As the owner, you should know better." He didn't care! The fact that the rental company (Cool Cabins) is either unaware of what's happening with their properties, or they don't care, is why I give them 1 star. Made our trip miserable. Never again! Now I know why they don't give you the address until you get there. Yikes! Stay away!!!

We reserved Lakefront Oasis. At check in, the team was very efficient. When we entered the cabin, we were accosted by stale air, like a combination of mildew and dust. It was very hot, and we attempted to turn the AC on, but it did not come on. We called the office, and they informed us that the owner did not provide air conditioning, only heat. At well over $300/night, I would expect air conditioning in July. The office team was great, and provided a portable A/C unit, which helped greatly in the living room. The upstairs bedrooms are useless in summer due to the heat. Worse, the cabin was very dirty. We dropped crumbs on the living room floor and when we wiped them up, the damp paper towel was filthy. Everything we touched in the kitchen was sticky. I write this not to complain, as I love Big Bear and stay there often, but rather to ask Cool Cabins to do a better job in cleaning and evaluating the cabins they represent.

We love Cool Cabins in Big Bear California big shout out thanks to Elizabeth Vera! Elizabeth has helped us rent our favorite cabin a few times now she has a good balance between being professional at being fun and pleasant to do business with! Stay clear!!!! Do NOT RENT WITH THEM! They are scammers i booked my reservation less than 5 mins ago and asked for a refund since i found a cheaper price and they charged me $75 fee this is ridiculous! Do not reserve w this company they didn't give me any options other than to take more money omg update they charged me an additional $75 and took unauthorized money from my bank account to total $300 so instead of taking it $75 fee from the 209 that I was charged they charged another $75 which I DID NOT AUTHORIZE now I'm short $300 until further notice

So far so good!!! Elizabeth at the call center made this transaction super easy, I had some hesitation but she quickly clearned that up, super professional, fun to speak with, had answer to ever question that I had and made me feel comfortable enough to go ahead and book a 3 night stay! If the experience is anything like the interaction that I had with Elizabeth then this will be tons of fun!!! I'll do another review on the total experience but so far 5 stars all day!!! GREAT JOB ELIZABETH!!!

My family has stay with them for the last 15 years for many holidays and just when we want to bond and relax . They are extremely professional and care about the needs of their customers . Amazing place to get a family vacation cabin, everything you need for a weekend getaway!

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Summit Mountain Lodge that we booked thru Cool Cabins for our family reunion. The check-in and check-out process was a breeze. We encountered a couple of very minor issues that were resolved quickly by contacting the office. Easy, peasy! We'll definitely reuse Cool Cabins next time. Also, the Summit Mountain Lodge was fantastic. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our family meals. There are multiple hangout areas, including the living room, the outdoor deck and activity area, and a deluxe game room. Plenty of sleeping accommodations for our party. It's a lovely house.

So much to say about our experience. We requested and early check-in and we were told it wasn't guaranteed. Totally fine. We called a couple of times to see if the place was ready. We finally picked up the keys at 3:55pm. They said the cabin would be ready in 5 minutes. We drove there and found the cleaning people just starting to clean from the people before. Apparently the people who occupied the place before would not leave. Upon walking in we noticed a door to one of the rooms off the hinges and lying against the wall. That was just the beginning of the problems. Gas did not work for the fireplace. We had to call for lightbulbs that were out. We were not given the key to the jacuzzi and had to call yet again. The central heat did not work in one of the rooms. The multitude of space heaters should have tipped us off. We found two black widows hanging out inside. Long story short we left two days early. After a lot of back and forth and not a lot of help we were offered a refund for one of the days and a 10% discount for next time we stay. However, we won't be using this company anymore. Such a disappointing experience.
