Big Bite

One of the best experiences of my life. I came for the food but stayed for the company. The owner is an amazing conversationalist and offered to give me my food for free. I am 100% coming back.

Disappointing decline in quality. Used to be phenomenal. Now heavy aromatics to hide lack of freshness. Meat tastes like cardboard. Extensive tortilla. Maybe ok for the inebriated PM clientelle. Not for the sober or those who have had good shawarma before.

Ordered from here a couple of times, the food is always delicious and the owner is very nice. Definitely one of the top spots in Houston to get really good shawarma!!

Came all the way from Baltimore, Maryland, and Big Bite was the first spot we tried at 1am and wow, what an experience! The food was absolute perfection. The shawarma was packed with flavor, cooked just right, and seriously hit the spot. Not only was the food incredible, but the service was great too—friendly, quick, and welcoming. The quality of everything was top-notch, and I’d definitely come back if I ever visit Houston again. Highly recommend this food truck for anyone craving delicious, well-made food!

Finally was able to try Big Bite and so glad I did. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and a gyro. Both were very good with lots of meat and the classic flavors you are looking for. Meat was tender, juicy and not over salted. Sauces were all great and the chili sauce had a nice little kick. Luckily, the owner showed up while I was there because he told me that the ‘over rice’ things are what they are know for. He hooked me up with a sample that blew me away with that flavor packed rice. That is the way to go. Excellent!! You don’t have to be out at the bars to stop by and grab some grub. So make a stop!

Love this food truck :) whenever I'm in the area I make it a point to come here. Best late night food, the chicken shawarma is fantastic and the main guy gives great life advice. 10/10 experience

Photos don't do it justice, this is by far the tastiest gyro platter I've had in Houston. Had a bite of my friend's shawarma and it was also very good. Plus: The owner is a very amiable person and keeps us coming back!!

My husband went to pick up our order and asked for their best dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were incredible, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. You can really tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. The staff was also super friendly and helpful in recommending what to try. If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Mediterranean food, this is the place to go! We’ll definitely be back for more.

Food was AMAZING Soooo much flavor- worth every penny!!! Cannot wait to come back and try other things on the menu. Owner so very sweet and genuine. Please come and try it will be worth your while.

We got the chicken shawarma sandwich and it was flavorful!! One of the best shawarmas I've had since they closed House of Kabob. I usually get extra sauce but this one was perfect. The bread isn't a thick pita bread, so I don't feel overly served on the bread. Hefty amount of chicken and pickles The only downside is that they're not open during lunch Service has been great every time I've come here. And just an FYI, The parking is free if you're just picking up food, I didn't know that.

The bas boussa is delicious. A must have dessert, especially if you enjoy coconut! I loved it and will be ordering again. We ordered the gyro over rice and mix over rice which has both lamb and chicken. Everything was seasoned to perfection and the flavors are explosive! We randomly found Big Bite while looking for a place open late. This is the spot for excellent halal food! We met the owner and the customer service was superb. P.S order the hummus! It's made from scratch and it's divine! My friends and I are definitely coming back!!

Big Bite has some of the best Halal food in town! Definitely a great spot to get some to-go after a long night. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Shawarma Wrap and the Gyro over Rice. The Wrap is packed full of tender chicken with the most amazing tahini sauce. The Gyro over Rice can't be beat! It is so flavorful and juicy. Overall, I highly recommend this spot. The food comes out quickly and the employees are very friendly. I can't wait to be back!

Very delicious Halal food. The rice and chicken are my favorite. The employees are very nice and attentive. The portions are enough for two, but I won't share, lol. Go check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Looking for something to eat after a late night arrival into Houston, I was led here by Yelp. I enjoyed the gyro sample I was offered, my conversation with the proprietor about the food scene in Palestine, and the falafel wrap I ultimately ordered. Good food and good people.

I found them on yelp and was initially going to get the wrap with fries, but he let me sample the chicken w/ rice. The rice is well seasoned and chicken flavorful. He's usually at the same spot by the bars, so if you're interested in a chicken and rice dish, I'd definitely recommend it, as he gives plenty of food for a great price.

Just tried this for the first time, we wanted something different tonight and the food was so so good! The owner was incredibly hospitable and welcoming and the food was top notch. We will def be back.

I had honestly never even heard of Schwarma until I moved to Houston & I was MISSING OUT boy let me say that. It became one of my favorite dishes ever & there are several great spots but this one right here yall, this one was special I'm not even kiddin. It was Built best complete with garlic sauce on the side and Arabic pickles and potatoes inside the wrap with chicken omg perfecto! Huge fanshighly recommended

One of the most lovely and enjoyable experiences I've had ordering food. Outstanding hospitality. My boyfriend and I tried Big Bites for the first time and order the gyro, chicken shawarma meal, and dessert. All of it was amazing. The dessert is a must try. Not sure what was better, the service or the food but will be back again forsure! Found my new favorite gyro spot in the heights area

Halal maybe - but Greek NO. The gyro was not a "Greek" gyro. It was a fully loaded pita but without any real flavor. The salad was bland, the only thing with flavor was the French fries because a lot of black pepper was used. Will not order from there again.

Big bite is amazing! I was welcomed with great service and was given amazing food. If you are stopping by, my suggestion is getting the gyro over rice. It is so good.

Ordered chicken shawarma sandwiches, and chicken shawarma over rice. The chef gave us "basbousa" to try. The food was beyond DELICIOUS! The garlic sauce is mixed with tahini which gives it a special flavor. The portions were filling. The Basbousa was perfect too. I will definitely come back.

Yummy! I'm very picky about my garlic sauce since I have grown up on Arabic food but this hit the spot. The gentleman that took my order was very nice

The food was not bad whatsoever, not the best I've had but it wasn't awful. It was like 6/10. We tried the chicken over rice and basbousa. On google reviews they have a 4.9 which is amazing but the reason I give them a 3/5 is due to hygiene. I would've given it a 4/5 if it wasn't because of that. When I went, the guy opened a dessert item for my friend and I to try (which was actually very delicious 5/5) and he was like "open your mouth" and proceeded to feed my friend. Then he used the same spoon, grabbed another slice of dessert and fed me. Which I'm grateful for. That was very nice of him. And I thought since it was a new dessert he was going to give it to us. However he closed it and put it back in the fridge. Y'all can do whatever y'all want with that information. And no it wasn't that I minded sharing the same spoon with my friend but the fact that that dessert was practically perishable. Unless he gives it to other people.

Love this place. Large portions, great food and friendly staff. It's open late so it's my go to late night dinner. Chicken Shawarma over rice is the way to go!! If you live close by or go to one of the bars nearby then you should definitely check this place out.

We ordered the falafel over rice and the chicken shawarma over rice and food was out of this world. I have yet to eat such tender and flavourful chicken and the falafel was crispy and light. The rice was super tasty and we literally inhaled the food down. Easily the best and the most fresh Mediterranean food in town! Definitely a MUST TRY!!!

The owner was SO kind and patient especially for tipsy hungry pedestrians I tried samples of dessert and rice and chicken, SO good and ended up getting fries with the chicken shawarma wrap. Chicken, falafel beef shawarma are all super good! was not impressed by the zinger shawarma though. Fries are hit or miss. Just glad to have an Arabic food truck in the area though!
