Tucked away at the corner of a business plaza is this Hawaiian themed restaurant. The staff was nice and fast with their service. It has all the good food that you would expect it to have. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Plate with macaroni, the katsu was crispy and not dry. Also the mac salad and Spam musubi was good.

Loved the classic meals we ordered! Service was great. It was affordable for a young married college couple. The music made the atmosphere! Only critiques was the burger was a little overcooked and the music was a little loud.

We enjoyed our grilled pork dinners. It's very tasty. Good Hawaiian dipping sauces. The mac salad was also delicious. Good portions. We will definitely visit again. Adequate indoor seating.

This is legit Hawaiian food. Ordered the kalbi ribs, island ribs and the Hawaiian chicken. Everything was amazing! Highly recommend the macaroni side! Perfect texture and flavor. We also tried the new pineapple slushy! So good! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. And the prices were worth it for the amount of food you get. Must try if you love Hawaiian food.

I was looking for a Hawaiian bbq spot and my coworker found it. This was a solid spot for Hawaiian style bbq. I ordered their ribeye loco moco and their chicken bowl with side salads. The ribeye was phenomenal along with their chicken bowl. Their side salads were surprisingly great with the dressing. Their spam and egg breakfast is also delicious. I also recently tried the beef ribs and they were delicious, tender and flavorful! Super heavy and just right! Their chicken katsu is delicious too, crispy and tender chicken pieces with their sweet sauce is phenomenal. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.

We were on the hunt for some good Hawaiian food in our area while we were out and about running errands on Memorial Day weekend and came across Big Bros Hawaiian Grill. We'd been to the bubble tea shop a few doors down, but never noticed this gem tucked away on the side. The restaurant shares the parking lot with a bunch of other shops and restaurants, so there is plenty of parking, but be very wary of inattentive people driving through. The restaurant itself is very easy to overlook because of the layout of the building. The entrance is along the side of another cafe restaurant facing the street, so if you weren't looking for it, you probably won't even realize it's there. Inside is very clean and simple. The decor just looks good...everything fits on that wall. The counter area is a little more messy, but not dirty. You really interact with it when you pick up your food, refill your water cup (jug water dispenser), or pour some of their damn good special house sauce, which is a very viscuous, sweet teriyaki flavor. Its very hot and dispenses from one of those industrial hot water/coffee dispensers. Ordering and paying for your food is handled at the kiosk, just make sure you read the little note card to understand the sides. The pricing of the food isnt too bad, most dishes being $10-20. We opted for their Hawaiian BBQ Chicken and their Hawaiian Pork BBQ, as my wife was craving something teriyaki. I mean geez, these plates are loaded...and they're the to-go plates. Normally other places skimp...but these were heavy. The chicken had good flavor, and complimented well with the sauce. My wife thought there was too much mayo, but i thought it was just right. The pork bbq though.....very, very juicy, not dry or oily like a lot of other places. Let ot soak up the special house sauce.....mouthgasm. We definitely want to head back to try their island beef ribs and kalbi beef bbq first...then the rest of the food. Ono food, yeah? While we were there, I believe it was the owner who came out and had a little small talk with us. While I'm not sure what to always say when it comes to small talk, it says a lot when it's not just a business interaction with the customers. I'll be back!

Not your average Hawaiian plate lunch. It's not often that whole beef ribs are offered on the menu at a Hawaiian BBQ restaurant, and this Island Beef Ribs plate was as delicious as it looked. The meat was fall off the bone and flavorful by itself, but the house sauce just put it over the top. This is a lot of food! The service was also great and you could tell that they took pride in the food they were serving. I'm glad that there's a second location in Artesia that's closer to where I live so I can try another entree in the future.

Oh my god I LOVED the kalbi beef bbq. The meat is even yummier than how it looks in the pictures. It had a charred flavor but still juicy. The mac is nice and creamy and the salad has a subtle sweet dressing on it that I really like too. I can’t wait to show my husband this spot!

Good food for good price. Definitely would come again. The service is also very friendly and accommodating.

Have wanted to try this place for awhile. Ordered the BBQ chicken with greens, rice and a side of macaroni salad with some spam musubi -- everything was very good and hot. Shares parking with the Stater Brothers shopping center, and plenty of seating. Service was lacking that aloha spirit, but the macaroni salad made up for it.

Family catered a tray of bbq chicken and two trays of island beef ribs for a party. The beef ribs are falls off the bone tender. Ribs are too sweet for my taste. It felt like I'm eating candy beef ribs. Probably good with plain rice to balance off the sweetness. Bbq chicken is flavorful and tender and it was delicious. If I'm in town, will def try their other food on the menu.

Flavorful food! Delicious dipping sauce. However, they don't accept cash. No restrooms, and they only offer off brand Sriracha packets.....

Super generous with the amount of protein. The katsu was crispy and the teriyaki chicken was perfectly charred. They both came with their respective sauce and had great flavor. My only complaint would be the lack of flavor in the mac salad, but I'm not a big fan of that anyway. Would probably get the steamed veggies next time!

Food - rib plate was good. Decent flavors of sweet salty and beefy . Super tender and almost falling off the bone. Rice was cooked just right, but mac was nothing to write home to. The bad - the basic beef bowl was good in flavor , but such a rough piece of meat. Super chewy and almost unedible. We did not.want to waste.food and just ate it. Luckily i had enough beef ribs to share. With a tough piece of meat, all you have to do is tenderize or slice it super thin like they do at yoshinoya. Also, crappy condiments like lackluster hot sauce really brings down the meal. I would go back, but bring my own hot sauce for sure. Service- decent, but could prioritize better with the dine in versus the take out. Restroom - didnt use this time Parking - enough parking during non prime time , but maybe crowed at lunch or dinner. Cleanliness- decent Price- fair for the amount of food you get.

Second time eating at this spot! Ordered takeout through their website. We ordered the rib eye, loco moco, 2 orders of Masubi , 2 orders of macaroni, and the teriyaki chicken. Everything was super flavorful! Much than the franchised Hawaiian bbq competition.

We ordered kalbi beef and katsu chicken. The kalbi was tender and flavorful, with no chewiness, and the katsu plate came generously packed and was crunchy. Would probably come back again

I always pass by this spot on the way to work and finally was able to give it a try since I was craving Hawaiian food! To my dismay, the flavor wasn't there. The BBQ chicken had a smokiness to it but no flavor at all, lacking in any sweet or salt from the marinade or lack thereof sauce. The chicken katsu was seasoned enough but it was a little soggy even though I ate it fresh. I usually get most, if not all, Mac salad but I was so disappointed since it was all bland and it wasn't creamy either. Maybe it was the plates that I ordered or the time that I went but I unfortunately did not enjoy my meal here even though I really enjoy Hawaiian food.

Service was great, but the food was lackluster. We got the Island Ribs Plate. Meat: The quality of the meat was not there. It was also a bit dry. Seasoning was on the saltier side. It needed some sweetness to balance it out. It didn't have that slightly sticky glaze, if you are into that. Mac Salad: The Hawaiian mac salad was not flavorful at all. It didn't seem like the traditional Hawaiian mac salad. It had little "specks" of carrot in there, which I found odd. It also tasted quite buttery and heavy, with not much else to even it out. Spam Musubi: It was 95% rice with a very thin slice of spam. The rice did not look appetizing; it was slightly brown from seasonings, but for some reason, it had no flavor. Unfortunately, this was a miss for us.

We ordered a galbi and a chicken plate but when we got home we realized they gave us the wrong order. I called the restaurant and the guy on the phone said we could exchange it. When I drove back he completely changed his attitude and refused to replace it because I had taken a small bite of the rice. He completely changed his story when I got there to get my new food. It was his mistake and he even tried to charge me to replace my food. He said I took ONE bite of the rice, but I was there because he gave me beef instead of chicken so why would that matter? I have a chicken allergy so I had to feed this to my dog. It was cruel to deprive me of my dinner. The worst part was that he kept changing the story so even if they reply to this, I doubt they are telling the truth. This isn't the first time they've messed up my order either. I even asked if he could at least do 50 percent off but he refused. I've attached a photo of what he called beef. It clearly wasn't what I ordered and it felt like he just didn't want to admit the mistake to his boss, he was extremely confrontational and I think he just tried to intimidate me so he wouldn't get in trouble. Stay far away from this place. I'm sure they will reply with a lie to this review.

Ordered ribs and got bones.... Nothing like the pictures they show. Pretty disappointed

Tried the Hawaiian bbq chicken plate and it was really good. Nice and tender pieces of chicken and pretty good flavor. The macaroni salad was also pretty good and the portion size was plenty of food for a decent price. As others alluded to, they don't accept cash, which is kind of weird. Service was friendly and food came out pretty quickly. They have some stuff I haven't seen at other Hawaiian places like Loco moco and angus beef, so I'd like to come back and try some other stuff on the menu.

Clean/spacious restaurant, good vibes and great service for a quick bite. They also do catering trays which I'll definitely keep in mind next time I have a party!

We were attending a nearby conference and decided to grab lunch in the area--and we're so glad we found this spot! We arrived just before the lunch rush, so it was quiet when we got there but packed by the time we left. You can place your order either at the kiosk or with the cashier, which made the process super easy. Everything we tried was delicious, and the food came out surprisingly fast. The space is on the smaller side with limited seating, so it's a good idea to plan your visit accordingly. Also, note that the restrooms are located on the side of the building.

I came in because I wanted to give this small business a shot. There were a few things to note. First is the broken glass pane. It's a bummer to see a small business subjected to vandalism. With that, I do hope for the best for this business owner. Second, the service was very friendly and informative. The only thing I found weird was I got my food before the guy who ordered before me. Idk if it was just because I ordered in and he ordered take out but I found it peculiar. Moving on. I sat down and got my food within a matter of minutes. The interior was quiet and clean. The spam musubi was delicious. Doesn't look perfect but that just tells me they are made in house. The beef rib plate was good but too sweet for me personally. I'd probably try the loco moco next time. I did appreciate that the Mac salad wasn't just lathered with Mayo. Food was overall good for the price. I'm looking forward to coming back.

This spot was great!! Best macaroni salad I've had in a while. The food is fresh and so good so you gotta be patient. The scene and the music is a whole vibe and all the servers were all nice and helpful. I'll definitely be back

Great beef rib meal , took about 15 mins. Tried some of katsu and it was tasty as well.

Got here 30 mins before closing but, staff was still super friendly and accommodating. I got the galbi with rice and Mac salad. I do wish the galbi was a little less fatty and more meaty but the flavor was great. The Mac salad is also super tasty and creamy. There are lots of tables to sit at and the restaurant is clean. Overall, I'd recommend!

Great Hawaiian BBQ. Super friendly people. Can be a busy location with Biola close by. Perfect for takeout. Nice playlist giving it an islands vibe.

My brother wanted to treat me for lunch and I opted for this Hawaiian eatery since it isn't a chain and chose to support small businesses. Located in the Stator Bros. strip mall so there's ample amount of parking. The interior is decorated Hawaiian style and is totally diffferent from its predecessor which was a Korean eatery. This was our first time here since it changed ownership and noticed that the beef ribs plate seem to be the popular entree at around $17.00 and included 2 sides. I selected macaroni salad and steamed rice. The ribs were marinated and the portions were sizeable, tender and tasty. My brother selected the pork katsu which I sampled and it was yummy with a lite batter and generous portion. Service from the young gal at the counter was friendly and she brought our food to our table. I'm looking forward to returning and trying the Galbi ribs and Loco moco.

Was in the area and wanted to finally try Big Bros, and happy we did! The service and ambience were fine enough, but deeeemn the beef ribs were bomb!! They literally slid off the bone! Super tender and juicy... I had them twice last week and I'm still thinking about them. Got them with Mac salad and rice and it was definitely a great plate of food. My wife got the chicken plate (visit 1) and the chicken bowl (visit 2), and those were both solid. Don't forget their special hot sauce (temperature-wise) that you self-serve from the heated carafe. That went great with the chicken. Will definitely be back!

Honestly, this place is usually good, but today not so much. The color of the chicken was not appetizing and most of the pieces of chicken had a lot of fat to it. Pushing the chicken to the side and just eating the rice underneath . I got a side of mac salad so not a total waste for takeout.

This is On POINT" so far so good .. I'm not hawaiian but my brother in laws are and I lived in Kehei , Maui for a summer ... the Katsu pork beef rib Mac salad rice sticky katsu sauce with a little Japanese BBQ hot& spicy All GOOD .... I don't think anyone should complain ..... just get it and it's good for you ....

First Timer. Got the big beef ribs. They were boiled in teriyaki sauce tough chewy meat and super salty. Not what I expected. I thought they'd be grilled meat like at Ono's. Presentation was horrible, all I saw was Bare Bones, not much meat hiding under the bones. The hot ribs smashed the Mac salad. And made it hot and teriyaki flavored, instead of cold rice was good, Mac salad watery -not as good as Ono's. Spam Musubi was bland and tasteless, Spam wasn't grilled w teriyaki sauce like how it's supposed to be. It was just pale spam and plain rice. Food took a long time to come out, about 20-25min. I don't know why, I was the 2nd table in the house. 2 other parties came in after us, waited just as long. They had a coffee urn to dispense Big Bros sauce- a hot beef sauce, which was very delicious.

Stopped by for late lunch. I was welcomed and they were very friendly. I was surprised how meaty and thick the chicken was. The flavor was amazing and foremost importantly seems this was made fresh. I loved it, my baby loved it too. We'll be back again. I'll try other items from their menu.

I found Big Bros Hawaiian Grill in La Mirada by accident. I ordered the chicken Hawaiian plate with greens and mac salad and it was super delicious. Parking was easy. Price point was very appreciative. Dining room was clean. Service was very friendly.

Catered a family member's Babyshower. Ordered a party tray of beef teriyaki and chicken Katsu a week ahead of time. Went to the restaurant on the day of for pick up. I was told if we can wait a little longer, the worker at that time stated the party tray did not look full and she did not feel comfortable giving us the tray we had already paid for. She accommodated the quantity out of her satisfaction. Took the party tray to the function to feast! Everyone that took a bite responded with excellence! The guest stated that this Hawaiian food was delicious! That really made my day. Serving good quality food at a party. Out of all of this, I would definitely come back to feast at this location. Everything was made fresh. Rice, macaroni and Meats. I really liked the integrity of this restaurant taking accountability of the party trays being delivered. Much respect to the workers. There is plenty of parking and the establishment is clean. Restrooms available in the back to use. Free water and good service! Two thumbs up to this Big Bros Hawaiian restaurant. Excellent to host large parties.

I tried the Kalbi beef BBQ plate. I was a bit disappointed with the amount of fat to meat. While the flavor was good overall, I just didn't get to enjoy enough meat. I must have thrown out what looked to be 2/3s of it, which was all chewy fat. The rice was great, but I wasn't a fan of the mac salad...something was missing. The vibe is awesome, though. Beachy, nice playlist, I enjoyed that very much, and the staff was friendly.

Food was great and they have great catering options. Definitely my go to spot when I crave Hawaiian food!

Huge fan of this place! We've haven't yet dined in but the few times we've picked up here, the food has been superb. We've been getting the the Island Beef Ribs and the meat is tender and flavorful. We'd order an extra side of the Mac Salad which goes well together. Usually it comes with 3-4 pieces of ribs (depending on size). I can't speak too much for the service, but in the few times I've called in to place an order, the service was quick and efficient. They also have an online order option if it works better for you to order there!

Amazing food and great service. Takes time but worth the wait. Go get it!
