I had an opening in my schedule so I stopped in to grab lunch. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, my lunch was awesome, and the service was perfect. I will definitely be back. Edit: I have been back a couple of times. Every time has been perfect for what i was looking for.

Google
PROS: This is a nice place. The atmosphere was great, and the young lady who took our to-go order was very kind. CONS: The fish was dry and hard with small servings; yet the charge was mighty. We ordered 2 fish and chips. The fish was so, so dry. It was horrible. I wish I had taken the picture of the food before throwing it away. It was not attractive... dark, with no glisten. The fries were worse... hard, dry, cold, tasteless. It comes with two sides. Ours included the fries, collards, and broccoli. None were awesome. We also got an order of hush puppies, which were not so bad. Two of us bought the seafood plate. The fish, once again, was dry. The shrimp was a decent quantity but very chewy and clearly overcooked. Over $100 dollars for one-star food. NEVER AGAIN.

I placed a pickup order for a lobster roll. My roll was drenched in butter making it a bit soggy but it was still decent. Giving three stars is the customer service. The cashier/server working the front wasn’t bad but I did not appreciate how she continuously placed my items on the counter rather than in my hand. She did this THREE times when she saw me with my hand out for my recipe, card, and the mayo I requested, she made it her duty to place it on the counter rather than in my hand. I expressed my concern and told her if someone places something in your hand, you don’t return it by putting it on the counter when when hand is out and she just looked at me like she was confused.

Google
Food was great, the gumbo was seasoned well so delicious. My crab hush puppies were soft and crispy as well as the fried pickles. Would definitely return. Our waiter Tim was courteous and explained the menu and specials, he suggested a good drink for happy hour!

Google
They pump SEAGULL SOUNDS and OCEAN AMBIENCE over the music, it’s the BEST. Go during happy hour and enjoy some oysters while enjoying the dulcet tones of Hootie and the Blowfish. 😎

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I got tired of waiting for people to come with, so I went myself. Sat outside, which was nice and clean, although it was hot, there was a fan for customers. It helped a little bit. I am terrible with name, but the server was great he made some great recommendations aside from the oysters, which is really what drew me to this place. My oysters were nice and fresh. I had a dozen along with the crab cake and shrimp scampi. The crab cake was delicious, but I am not a fan of corn, so next time I order, it will be without the corn. Again, the oysters were fresh. I like mine raw they were perfect The scampi was good but a little bland to my liking. It's as if it was more butter than anything. I like a nice balance of garlic taste in my scampi. It was not bad, just not my preference. Had a glass of wine and just enjoyed the "Me Time." Nice relaxing environment. I went around 430, and it wasn't too busy. As I was leaving, more and more people were arriving. Pricing wish I was satisfied prior to tip only spent about 65. Which for some pla es in GA that was nothing. I will definitely be back!!!

I came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The place is in the middle of a strip mall. The entire complex looks new. Parking is a little tight but it was easy to find a space. Not many servers were working when I came in. My server was nice but he was working the entire area himself along with the bar. I ordered the Blackened Catfish Plate. One large blackened catfish filet with grits and greens. Everything was cooked to perfection but the filet had some bones and no spice. Grits and green were cooked to perfection. Nothing needs to change.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere, and the best food I've had in a while. I'm kicking myself for not eating here sooner for the past 2 years I've been living close by. Please try especially during their happy hour from 4 - 6:30! Also the service from Tim made it all!

Yelp
We came in around 4pm after an already long day since we'd been up since 4am because of our flight. The restaurant wasn't packed on a Friday at 4pm but around 5pm, people started pouring in. We started out with the shrimp & andouille sausage gumbo and crispy fried calamari. The shrimp & andouille sausage gumbo comes in one size and it's just the right amount. I kid you not, the gumbo was perfect. Your taste buds will be firing on all cylinders after you put a spoonful into your mouth and taste the perfect seasoning of the soup. The okra was soft and delicious and the rice was cooked very well. After squeezing the lemon out all over the calamari, we dug in and it was great. The sauce that it came with was sweet chili; however, it didn't really add anything to the dish for me so I ate most of it without dipping into it. I ordered the Cajun shrimp pasta and my partner ordered the fried fish and shrimp platter. The Cajun shrimp pasta was creamy, cheesy, a little spicy, and seasoned well. You just have to remove the tails on the shrimp if you don't eat them (which I don't so I removed them all and then dug into the dish). I think it needed some finishing salt, but I didn't add anything. I wanted to try the dish as they prepared it. I let my partner have the fried fish all to himself, but I definitely tried the fries and shrimp. The fried shrimp was cooked to perfection, so good and well-seasoned. The fries were a little salty and so good that you don't need ketchup to eat them. Overall, service was good and timely. Our waiter was excellent.

Yelp
I discovered this restaurant on my Yelp and it has had me in a chokehold ever since. I love to come here when I am in the mood for seafood on my lunch hour as it is very close to my employee. this place is a true fish house. You can come and choose what cut of fish or shrimp that you would like as it is displayed freshly upon walking in. The staff is always nice and helpful and the food is always hot and fresh. I have ordered quite a few things and everything has been good nonetheless. Nothing here is lackluster and the prices are always within reason. my absolute favorite is the shrimp scampi and the chili shrimp.

Yelp
I decided to drive out here because I was looking for an oyster happy hour. I was there on a Wednesday afternoon right at four when happy hour started and it was pretty slow so I got a table. The oysters were good and hush puppies were also on the happy hour menu and I love hush puppies, but They were not to my liking. I also decided to get the chili shrimp appetizer, which was absolutely fantastic. The creamy spice sauce on top was delicious and the shrimp was very crispy. I think I would come back to get oysters again and definitely that shrimp. It's a very casual place but I think people enjoyed chilling and chatting at the bar.

Yelp
When i went there with my family we asked for some fish and they seated us. After that a wierd waiter came to us and said we have no more fish!!! Is it not know for fish

Yelp
Very quiet outdoor patio. Lots of shade areas and fans to keep you cool. I see lights for nighttime which may be a cute date night or chill night outside. I enjoyed the mahi mahi sandwich! Very flavorful! The hush puppies were ok. They just need a little more crab meat. Also enjoyed the beach Bellini. The service was also pleasant!
google avatar

Jaron K.

Yelp
Food was very good, I got the tuna poke bowl and it had good amounts of tuna and was delicious. The outdoor area was very nice. The only bad part was the service. The server was not very good. She only came to the table twice and forgot to put in our appetizer. Overall I would go here.

Yelp
Terrible service. Food was decent but I would not go back due to the service from the hostess and the waitress.

Yelp
I was craving raw oysters and was drawn in by their daily happy hour from 4-7. Unfortunately, their flavors left a lot to to be desired. Parking: Free parking lot right outside of their establishment is plentiful and convenient. Service: Service was good. It wasn't very busy Sunday afternoon when I went so I was helped by the bartender. She was very kind and attentive throughout service. Food: I ordered a dozen oysters ($1.50/oyster during happy hour), a margarita ($5 during happy hour), and the crab hush puppies -- something I'd never had before but sounded enticing. For some reason, everything seemed to lack flavor. The crab hush puppies tasted nothing like crab. Just dough balls with specs of peppers. I did enjoy what tasted like an old bay remoulade that they give you to dip them in. The oysters, not sure if it was because they're out of season, didn't taste like much. Not very sweet. Not very salty. The cocktail sauce even lacked flavor. It was strange. The margarita was pretty good, lots of sour mix. I'm not sure if I came in at a bad time or just ordered the wrong things. Hopefully the other menu items pack a bigger punch!

Yelp
It's a yes for me! I am in pure LIKES! -lol The place is very cute and coastal chic! We came for Sunday's Brunch and it did not disappoint! I had the catfish and jumbo shrimp platter, which was fried to perfection. The fish batter was very seasoned and tasty. I exchange my coleslaw for broccoli and my french fries for grits .....all very yummy. I also took a to go dessert, which was the salted caramel cheesecake, it was truly divine, this place is definitely good for a large group. They have outdoor seating and a very spacious dining area, parking at times may be a problem because it is a shared lot with a few different businesses, but I would definitely recommend this place. 5 out of 5 stars!

Yelp
Semi skeptical when my friend suggested this place for a double date night. Big B's and Fish Joint don't seem to jive to me when it comes to a place that sounds appealing to your tastebuds. Well, I was wrong. This is a pretty big place (looks small from the parking lot) and they have outdoor seating. It's more upscale than it sounds and the prices reflect that. I will say that the booth we sat in could've used some cushioned seats but that's my only complaint. The watermelon salad with mint, balsamic glaze, feta, and cherry tomatoes was ball dropping good. A tad more mint would've been perfection. My drink, the French 75, hit the spot. And the Matua Sauvignon Blanc paired great with my entree. I ordered the blackened Louisiana catfish, which came out very grits and greens. Damn thing was perfection! Mmm, I certainly hit the tastebud jackpot on my meal. I will say that my friend ordered the clam chowder and was not a fan. The music here, mostly Yacht Rock style, was a pure joy. As for me, everything was perfect for my meal! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Delicious! We had the fish and chips, shrimp roll, pan seared salmon and grouper. Everyone was fresh and prepared perfectly. The smoked trout dip was spiced right and so yummy. Also loved the hush puppies. We will be back

Yelp
I recently visited Big B's Fish Joint for the very first time. The restaurant and its staff were wonderful and the food was delicious! Also, very much appreciated their observing of COVID-19 safety protocols (e.g. spacing between tables, staff staying masked, etc.). I absolutely recommend!

Yelp
Great spot!! We sat outside with our pup tonight! Food is amazing! Whenever we come down here for a concert at Chastain or visit friends we stop here for a fantastic dinner. Service and food is fantastic. We love their blackened specials and oysters!!

Yelp
We came on a Saturday at 6:30. Our reservation was at 7:00 so we were a little early. We wanted to wait for a booth as they couldn't put a table together for a party of 5. Once seated, our server greeted us quickly and we placed orders for beverages and apps. My margarita was good and strong although they didn't have any flavors for the margarita. Everyone seemed to enjoy their drink. We loved the crab hush puppies, the sweet chili shrimp and calamari. My meal was the Cajun shrimp linguine. It was just okay. This was a nice spot. I loved the sizes of their booths, very comfortable. When we arrived, we had just missed happy hour (4:30-6:30 PM). We'd come back for the apps alone.

Yelp
I love coming here - they operate a right waitlist, they're great at getting parties seated quickly, and the food is always fresh and fantastic taste/quality. The service team seems to work really well together. The outside patio is a great spot when Atlanta's heat and humidity allow.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was pretty tasty, service and ambience were great as well. I would definitely be going back.

Yelp
The outside area is nice. The oysters here are great and the happy hour deals are amazing! I personally felt that some of the seafood was slightly overcooked, the wahoo special and the lobster roll specifically. The margs were strong, pretty average taste wise. Service was alright, we were celebrating something so my brother told the waiter off to the side. He brought out a brownie with ice cream and charged for it, even tho my brother didn't ask for that. I found that a little odd.

Yelp
So happy I found this place! If you like seafood this spot serves delicious food! Everything was perfect from the ambiance to the friendly service. They offer brunch, lunch or dinner. The menu selection was plentiful and I eespecially enjoyed the crab hush puppies. The parking is free and ample.

Yelp
We had to go to a close hospital for an MRI. We found Big B's Gish Joint on Yelp. Another win for Yelp. Close by. Great atmosphere. Great Food. Great service. Very clean except the women's rest room. Fair price. What more could I ask for.

Yelp
This place has a great happy hour special! I've had it on my list for about a year but am rarely in the neighborhood. Finally was so stopped by. The oysters were great. Fries were as well. No complaints regarding the food or service. The only quirk that was a little distracting is they play seagull/ocean sounds the entire time.

Denny S.

Yelp
Cool place! Weekend evening. Full. But, it was a little chilly for outside dining. Bar was hopping due to Happy Hour. Really good, laid back service. Nice choices on menu. Entrees were tasty. Pineapple Upside Down cake was fun for dessert. We would choose to be seated outside when possible. Just a little loud inside. Only cons: kids running around and the noise.
google avatar

Kortney W.

Yelp
10/10 recommend. Our food was delicious! Service was like going to a fine dining restaurant but with the best ease, warmth, and friendliness. Our server was Tim and he was so nice! Food came out HOT and in a timely manner annnddd it was soooo good!! The restaurant itself is chic, modern, and pretty intimate. I can't wait to go back and try the happy hour, and of course another plate of the catfish. Man! It was so good!

Natalia B.

Yelp
This food is amazing. Everything. The drinks. The fries. The service. The portion sizes. Why is this place not packed on a Saturday. Their happy hour? Crazy. $5 hush puppies. $5 margs. Amazing spot.

Yelp
This place hit my search results while looking for a good catfish plate. The location is in a nice Sandy Springs plaza , has outdoor seating, clean environment, very kind staff and an open bar. I will surely visit this location again and have already spread the word on the food and great service here.

Yelp
Got oysters for happy hour $$ and gumbo which was good. Got the fried fish sandwich which was very good with below average Brussel sprouts. Wife salmon which was dry with over cooked broccoli with hush puppies which are good. Service was great and place is cool looking food was good.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at Big B's Fish Joint and let me tell you the food was amazing. I woke up craving fried catfish and Googled the best spots for fried catfish and Big B's Fish Joint came up. Of course I had to look at the Yelp reviews and the reviews did not disappoint. I headed over and ordered the "Fried Louisiana Catfish Platter". The platter is normally served with Old Bay French Fries, Classic Cole Slaw, Housemade Tartar Sauce & Crystal Louisiana Hot Sauce. However, I substituted the fries and cole slaw with crispy brussel sprouts and cheddar grits. I ended up sending the cheddar grits back. It wasn't that the cheddar grits weren't good, they just weren't hot enough temperature wise and I don't know about you but I can't eat room temperature grits. They just aren't that enjoyable for me. However, my server was nice enough to take them back with no issue and bring me out fresh fries instead. Another thing I want to point out is you can substitute the sides. Did you hear me? You can substitute the sides with no additional charge. Finally, a restaurant that allows substitutions. The catfish was amazing. The portion of the fish is huge and nicely battered and seasoned. The coating of the fish batter is not to hard or to soft but if you prefer your catfish fried a specific way, again the restaurant does not have an issue accommodating your needs which I love. Everything was tasty and the sweet tea was amazing. Not diabetic sweet but sweet enough to bring a nice smile to your face. I have to say, I was throughly impressed. To me, it's really hard to find a good seafood restaurant at a decent price here in Atlanta with great portions so I will officially say this meal was a 10/10. It was my moms birthday and the server was nice enough to bring out a fudge brownie with vanilla ice cream on top drizzled with chocolate syrup and man was that brownie good. It was warm, fudge and sweet. The establishment is very clean and aesthetically pleasing and I believe everyone should run not walk because this is one gem on Roswell Rd in Atlanta, GA that you don't want to pass up.

Yelp
Great customer service. I sat at the bar, and it was a great atmosphere for a typically busy Thursday happy hour. The oysters were fresh and I went for the $1 oysters during happy hour and a glass of Chardonnay. Great way to unwind after a busy week.

Yelp
You know you like an establishment, when you're planning your next visit, before your done with the apps... LOL! Walking into to a very nice setting, with nice music and table settings, I knew we were in for a treat! Our waitress was so patient in answering our questions, and very attentive to the small details, as well. Starting with a couple of apps and salads, the Happy Hour Oysters caught our attention, and so we indulged. Every dish had us raving over the flavors and freshness. We will definitely be back! **Kudos for paper straws and eco-conscious to-go containers**

First time here and the service and food were delicious! I had the blackened catfish and it was wonderful. Perfectly seasoned.

Yelp
After months of seeing Big B's oyster happy hour all over social media, I had to come and see what the hype was all about. At the time of my last visit in 2021, happy hour was everyday from 4-7pm. I do appreciate a daily happy hour that lasts longer than a single hour and it's just on slow weeknights. Love their dog friendly patio! In warm weather, it's super cute and fun! Not so much when it's cold though lol. Their happy hour is a smaller portion of the menu with $1 raw oysters and discounted select share plates & starters. There's also a small happy hour drink menu for discount wine & a seasonal cocktail. While I'm usually a Pinot noir girl ($5 per glass!!) I leapt at the Sauvignon blanc since I prefer to pair seafood with whites. The Happy mule was also a super refreshing boozy option. We ordered 18 oysters (you can order by the dozen or half dozen) and the shrimp 'n grits fritters. The oysters are pretty good, for the price. I vow never to complain about $1 oysters unless I end up getting food poisoning or something lol. The shrimp 'n grits fritters were a bit heavy for me but still paired well with the happy hour drinks. Since we were still hungry, we decided to share the creamy scallop pasta, which is a HUGE portion of creamy pasta and scallops. The flavor was just ok but I couldn't be mad because of the number of scallops & the portion size. It's been a while since my last visit but I can't wait to stop in again for happy hour!

Darlene B.

Yelp
Flavorful fish dishes, great service and nice bar.My favorite happy hour item are the fresh oysters.

Lucile M.

Yelp
Absolute gem tucked off Roswell Rd. Delicious food, great service and fabulous atmosphere with outside seating available. We will def be back!

Yelp
I ordered a to-go order from Big B's. Pros include a clean, inviting restaurant, friendly staff, and a timely order. My husband had the Cajun shrimp pasta bowl, and I had the fried shrimp platter. Both were pretty hefty portions. The meals were filling and tasty. However for the price point ($50 for both meals), I felt the presentation of the to-go order could have been better. We may opt to give them another try when we can dine in.

Yelp
I was looking for a seafood place close enough for lunch in work days and saw this place hiding in the shopping center by sprouts. I have driven by here dozens of times and never noticed it before. So then I looked at the reviews and saw it was off the chart and had to try. The atmosphere is very open with lots of light. It has a very welcoming feel. I was by myself for lunch and was not particularly hungry so I was looking for a lighter meal. I went with the fish tacos, fried. They came with one side and i stuck with the old bay fries. Everything was fresh and hot. It came out really quick. The tacos were great. I was very pleased. So why 4 stars instead of 5? Well the prices are not cheap. But it is fresh seafood and you have to pay for that. Considering what you get the prices are not bad. But I would have liked some lunch specials. I ordered off the sandwich/taco section of the menu and literally got the cheapest thing in the menu at $15.95. With tip I got out for right at $20. I have no problem with the value for what I got but entrees in the $20-25 range are more than I usually do for lunch. So some lunch specials would have been nice. Service was fast. Everything was hot and fresh. I was pleased overall. I will be back.

Yelp
We came on a weekday night and the restaurant wasn't too crowded but wasn't empty. There's an online waitlist and it showed 10 min wait right as we got there, but we got in faster. There's a nice outdoor patio too. I got the fried fish sandwich. It was an interesting one for a few reasons. It had cheese which fish sandwiches don't often have. It fell apart completely while eating. That being said, it was pretty tasty. I chose the fries with it and the seasoning was great. Enjoyed and would come back!

K B.

Yelp
I've always gotten the fried shrimp and grilled trout and found the food to be simple and reliable. Most recently I visited and also ordered the oysters. I did ask the waitress the size and general taste of the oysters for the day and was taken aback when she told me she doesn't eat oysters and had no idea what to tell me. When I asked her could she at least tell me the size she said again she didn't know but I could look at the table nearby?! It was really rude. I usually sit at the bar where the servers and bartenders are always kind. Unfortunately I did also become ill with a bacteria specific to seafood and called the manager just to let him know and frankly the oysters had not tasted very fresh (I did not eat them all for this reason along with their poor taste). I did let him know that I also had seafood at another restaurant and was just trying to be responsible in contact tracing as the ER asked me to do. I was disappointed that he seemed disinterested in ensuring that his restaurant was not the source (for example the other restaurant at least asked what day I came, he did none of the sort). For that and the recent poor service I will not return.

Yelp
Big B's was great! Everyone in our party gave two thumbs up. From start to finish everything was seasoned, well prepared, and received multiple compliments from our group. The appetizers were shrimp and grits fritters, fried pickles, and the shrimp scampi. The shrimp scampi was the best of the apps. The Louisiana fried catfish was a huge portion perfectly fried. The blackened mahi-mahi sandwich and also the fish supreme sandwich were perfectly made handhelds. We are already planning our next visit because everyone wanted to try more off the menu. Perfect outing for the whole family. The menu has something for everyone!

Yelp
We only come here for the oysters during happy hour Service is quick and staff are always friendly
google avatar

Paul L.

Yelp
This restraint is a very clean establishment. From the decor to the up keep it is very uniform. The staff greeted us and had a very friendly and inviting demeanor. The food is where everything began to lack unfortunately. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the poached eggs were over cooked and the English muffin was not fresh. A hard texture to it. My mother ordered the lobster roll (took her for her birthday). For almost 30 dollars you would think it would be decent but the roll was two small pieces of garlic bread, with overcooked lobster on top and empty in between the roll, and smaller than a toddlers hand. This was the one thing she asked for, for her birthday and it was disappointing. I'm sure they have some good menu items but the ones we purchased did not make me want to come back for more.
google avatar

Sandra B.

Yelp
It's me again. This time, I took my husband on a lunch date to guess where. LOL! Again, Big B's keeps winning. I ordered fried catfish and shrimp with collard greens and fries. My husband ordered fried shrimp with coleslaw and fries. Once again, the food was fresh, hot, seasoned just right, and came out in less than 15 minutes. Rashaad, our server, was prompt and always remembers my drink order. He is beyond awesome! My husband thoroughly enjoyed our date. In fact, he said the shrimp topped his top 3 list.

Yelp
Came here on Tuesday before a concert at a nearby location. There were no more than 20 customers in the whole establishment. We sat down and were brought iced water by friendly servers. Service was fine as it was not busy. We ordered the happy hour oysters, half dozen. It is now $1.50 per oyster. When our oysters came one of them had a live worm still wiggling on the shell! It freaked my friend out and we quickly called the server to come take a look. Meanwhile my other friend and i hat already had one oyster each and did not pay attention to what could have been living on the shell when we slurped our oyster. And so that grossed me out that I could have swallowed a live worm because I took for granted that it was clean. So our server took my friend's plate away and we also told her to please take the remaining unconsumed oysters and she did. Shortly after, she brought out two oysters to replace the two that my friend did not consume due to the worm and apologized but also added that the chef said that their food is so fresh that even the worm wanted part of it. If the chef really said that, I am disappointed because it makes me feel like the shells could have been scrubbed but nobody did before being shucked. We continued with the rest of our dinner. At this point I had thought that maybe the server would replace the other unconsumed oysters or at least comp-ed it. At the end of the meal when we asked for a bill, our oysters was charged at full price even though we ate only half of it due to the worm incident. We paid up, but we were generally very unsatisfied and felt like the establishment could have shown us hospitality by giving us a discount. I would be very happy if they had charged us for the consumed oysters and not for the entire half a dozen. We left but it is still at the back of my mind that more could have been done by the establishment. I gave them three stars because our main meal was good, our server was friendly and attentive. I would return to this establishment again however I may pass on the oysters.

Yelp
$1 HAPPY HOUR OYSTERS WHICH ALSO APPLY ON SATURDAYS. Nuff said. Ok fine, I'll make it longer. Included in the HH are $5 margaritas and hush puppies and other foods, but we mainly come for the oysters. We've also tried the other dishes before, a seafood pasta and their fish and chips which were delicious as well but let's be real, I'm really just here for the oysters.

Yelp
Some of the best seafood in Atlanta, especially if you are looking for a more casual environment. Their fried fish, especially the catfish, is spectacular!

Yelp
I've passed up Big B's mannny times en route to the Sprouts, which is also in this mall. I visited during lunch with a girlfriend and it was pretty empty (we were the only two seated in our section). Our waitress was Kia (sp?) and she was attentive, sweet and friendly, so thank you Kia! 5 stars service wise. The space was spacious and clean and included a bar upon entrance. As for the food, for me it was a bit underwhelming. The salmon was fresh and the old bay seasoned French fries were delicious. I ordered the salmon poke bowl and it was kinda boring :/ It included rice, cucumber, salmon and avo. Would've loved if there were more toppings/ingredients like an authentic poke. I will say on the plus side, ingredients were fresh. Overall, we had a great experience. Great service, great energy. I would return again to experience their happy hour appetizers and cocktails!

Yelp
What a great lunch experience! Since I was in the Sandy Springs area for the afternoon recently, I decided to enjoy a lunch out and set my sights on the nearest oyster happy hour deal and found Big B's Fish Joint! Located in a buzzing plaza, I'm so thankful to Yelp for guiding me here. I was on the lookout for a Happy Hour special that I could enjoy outdoors in the Georgia sun on the most perfect afternoon, ever - and I got just that! Upon entry, Big B's is a gorgeous place. With high ceilings, beautiful art, and a bar setup that is a feast for the eyes - the aesthetics are truly on point here! But again, I came to enjoy the outdoors, and lucky for me, they have a beautiful patio set up with ample space, that looks out onto the plaza and back into the windows of the restaurant interior. Major relaxation vibes. I was promptly seated and escorted outside, and I was ready to enjoy! I won't lie, I was pretty disappointed in the time it took to be greeted. I think I was sitting for almost 15 minutes before anyone came back over to say hello or offer a glass of water. As a former server and bartender, I know that things can be delayed and practice patience with all businesses... but it was a pretty empty restaurant and not even 5:30 pm so it was a surprise to me. BUT - when I was greeted, any minor concerns over delay were quickly gone as my server came over with a big smile and started me on the road to a great lunch. I ordered my happy hour oysters and asked for a HH wine recommendation went with a Rose. I was quickly shown that the minor delay upon seating was just a hiccup because, wow, those oysters and wine came out SO quickly! The oysters were incredibly fresh and the presentation was incredible! I loved that the oysters were plump and not too briney, SUCH a deal. I also went with the Clam Chowder and I won't lie, not my fave at all but I'm also not a usual Clam Chowder girl so IDK who the hell I thought I was, lol. But now I've found a new spot to enjoy my beloved raw oysters and a delicious glass of wine in the OTP area!

Yelp
Big B's Fish Joint, located off Roswell Rd in a Shopping center, in Buckhead. It's Easier to find using GPS. Big B's Seafood restaurant was pleasant, nice and clean with the bar area separate from the dining room. We were greeted upon arrival, by the hostess, then immediately escorted to our table. Our server was friendly, attentive, he gave us both menus, minutes later took our Food order after delivering our drinks. We order the Snapper Sandwich & The Crispy Fried Fish Sandwich ( Alaskan cod) both sandwiches came with French Fries. Our waiter, was fantastic ( red head guy) forgot his name. Both orders served hot & delicious. Both sandwiches were not spicy, however, fresh & very good. Hot sauce was accessible on our table, if we needed to add more flavor. This is a great place for date night, lunch, friends & family, Solo. The Ambiance was nice. Our table & chairs were comfortable. Casual attire. The manager came to greet us both, asking if we were okay. Bonus! Overall great experience for my first time. Big AB's offers a full cocktail menu. Parking was free, Safe environment. Go check Big B's Fish Joint out. Cheers.

Yelp
Always a pleasure when I dine at Big B's. Tonight I decided on a carry out order of fish and ships and the shrimp and sausage gumbo. Surprisingly, the food kept its warmth for my 40-minute drive home. Before I discuss the food, I would like to compliment the young woman who took my order (Paula). She was super patient and extremely pleasant. She even provided a recommendation. Received similar customer service at the bar. Without prompt, he poured me and my friend waters when we sat. He then offered the menu and my friend opted for a glass of wine. He too was very pleasant and accommodating. As for the food, the fish and chips were pretty good. I would have preferred a crispier fish, but that did not take away from the taste. It was a very meaty filet and seasoned well (which can be hard to accomplish with cod). The fries, despite not being fresh any longer because of my long commute home, were also pretty tasty. I also ordered brusssel sprouts (swapped in place of the cole slaw) at the recommendation of Paula. They were glazed as described, but unfortunately, not my cup of tea. Luckily, I had enough fish and chips that I barely blinked at the fact the brussel sprouts weren't that good (in my opinion). Note: I ate half my meal before I took the pic so use your imagination at how full the box was.
