Big Chicken

Pretty good for a fast food place, but prices are a bit high for what you get. The hot chicken sandwich was good, but you get very little meat and it was as spicy as most other spicy chicken sandwiches from any other fast food place. The cookies and cream milkshake was very good, but was overpriced.

Our server/cashier tonight was Daniel, he was great. He answered all my questions and was very patient. Great atmopshere. Establishment was clean. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I ordered the big cali meal- it came with 2 nice sized pieces of bacon, which was cooked just right and was crisp. Avocados were fresh! Overall impression was good, the only downside is the price. $46 for two people is pricey; each person ordered a chicken sandwich meal, and one had a regular drink and the other got a shake. The reward system is a real gem though as I already received some rewards for this meal.

Danny was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to make sure our order was perfect and that we had everything we needed. His energy, friendliness, and attention to detail really stood out — you can tell he genuinely cares about his customers. The food was delicious, but Danny’s excellent service made the experience even better. Thank you, Danny, for making our visit so enjoyable!

I love this place. The chicken sandwich was awesome. I ordered the barbecue chicken alert. I also got fries and a shake with a combo. The chocolate shake I ordered the double chocolate and it came with syrup and chocolate chips at the bottom and it really made it so good. Also I ordered separately barbecue sauce for my fries. They asked me if I wanted spicy barbecue or sweet BBQ. I chose the sweet barbecue and I was very happy. I definitely recommend this place. I'm usually skeptical about new places but this hit it out of the park.

OMG!!! The food was absolutely incredible cooked right in front of us by Chef Daniel! I got the Pit Boss, and it was huge and unbelievably delicious. At first, I had no idea what to choose because everything on the menu sounded amazing. Thankfully, RJ and Daniel took the time to walk me through the options, both were super knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly love what they do. Their energy made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back and try more

This being a franchise I have to admit this was a fantastic experience! There were some hiccups but they were immediately addressed. The customer service was attentive and friendly. The food was fresh and loaded with flavor. Cooked to perfection with just the right ratio of crispy to juicy! The fries we well done and not soggy! Over all the restaurant was clean and the staff kept on top of the over all cleanliness my entire experience. The only mention I can think of was one of the trash cans was starting to over flow but I can attribute that to the volume of traffic dining in at that moment. I look forward to my second visit. Think I’m going to try the popcorn chicken, I have heard great things. Thank you for the hospitality and attention to detail! Looking forward to eating there again in the near future.

Mind you after leaving this review I got a response publicly. But the response was not honored they never even acknowledged or responded to my email. It was just for show. But hey I guess thats big business for Shaq 🤷🏾‍♀️ Now see here’s the thing, I generally actually love big chicken but honestly it depends on the day and the time and the staff working. On saturdays around like 4/5 my order is usually legit and hot… but other days of the week I really don’t know what I’m gonna get. I ordered the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich with crispy onions. They gave me a chicken sandwhich with a cold soggy onion ring the chicken was paper thin and the fries were basically stale. This was Tuesday July 1, 2025 at like 8-9pm. Honestly it’s just been getting worst and it suck’s cause I really loved the place. But I think I’m gonna fall back. The standards for hot fresh food has been getting lower. But thanks for the first few experiences.

10 outta 10! Food was amazing, had the Oreo Shake with Peanut butter. Service from Danny was top-tier. Love the environment and ambience. Everyone was so polite and it was an overall great experience. Did I mention the food was amazing? I had the Shaq Attack. Loved it. Highly recommended.

Very good chicken shop. It's a very fast casual place, servers were super friendly. Ton of variety and value. They offered several sauces and had a bunch more unique options available. The Texas buttered toast was really good. Lots of good options in this area and this is one of them.

Idk if I've been more excited to write a review before. Let's get the fluff out of the way, very clean inside, almost immaculate tbh. The cashier was very nice and courteous, and the food came out hot and fresh. Now let's get to the real stuff.. I had the dirty fries which were delectable thru and thru, and I mean that whole heartedly. Not only were they good, from the cheese, to the abundant amount of peppers and bacon. But the cheese and toppings weren't JUST plopped on top.. as I INTENTIONALLY dug thru the box of fries deeper and deeper, to my surprise there was still cheese on each fry and guess what, PEPPERS TOO!! It's almost like they tossed the fries in the toppings and then boxed em up. Also the cheese wasn't just ur typical run of the mill melted cheese you pour on top, I honestly don't know what kind of cheese they used but it was on the thicker end (pause) and it didn't overwhelm the fries, so they were able to maintain their integrity and not get super soggy! THEN, the Ancho sauce, had a slight sweetness to it. Overall the combination of salt and sweet made a beautiful marriage on my taste buds (pause). Now for the chicken... boy oh boy did they do their thing.. for starters my sandwich looked EXACTLY like the picture on the menu, maybe even better. The chicken was juicy AF, I purposely took a bite of JUST the chicken itself to taste it without all of the added decorations, and boy was I impressed. It had good flavor and wasn't heavily breaded. I ensured to take my time with each bite to enjoy the quality ingredients. I spent about $20 on the sandwich and fries, but it was well worth it and I can't wait to come back and dance around the menu. They have soooo many variations that it can be kinda overwhelming. When I went to sit down, I saw some dude who had a bowl of some sort that looked like something off of tik tok, so again, I promise I will be back to this spot and suggest it to others for sure. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I was looking for a fast food place for a quick bite that we didn't have where i lived in Pennsylvania, so I found big chicken. The establishment was very clean and the workers were very nice! I ordered a 3 piece tender for $8.99 and a mini salted caramel milk shake for $4.99. Since I have never been there before. I had the worker. Recommend the carolina mustard barbecue sauce to dip my tenders in. I thought that the milkshake was a really good size for being a mini, and it was absolutely delicious. The food seemed to be made fresh because it came out.Piping hot and delicious. The 2 sauces that I had. We're both also very good. I did the big chicken sauce and the carolina Mustard barbecue. I did like the big chicken sauce better. If I lived closer, I would definitely come here again.

I read about the new Chicken restaurant owned in part by Shaq in Bridgewater, NJ and being a big fan, I had to go. I didn't have high expectations, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The chicken was real met, not processed crap served almost everywhere, even our local Chicken Holiday (for shame). The fries were ample and tasty, I ordered a Plate, so it came with Garlic bread which was very good too. The only thing it came with that I didn't like was the Cole Slaw, it had a strange after taste. I was so full anyhow (I had the 5 piece plate not realizing it was so big), I didn't care. I will be going back and next time, I'm going to get a sandwich and Macaroni and Cheese bowl. Try the BC Sauce, it was exceptional, nice and zesty as you'd expect. Way to go Shaq. Btw, the young man working the register was very nice and deserves recognition. I was also impressed how clean the store was, kudo's.

New chicken place in town, we have to try it. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and Nashville tenders combo with a side of spicy slaw. Both chickens were juicy and spicy good. The slaw had sliced jalapeños. The two sauces I tried were the Memphis bbq and the mustard bbq. There were other sauces to try. There's a 6 soft drink and lemonade machines. Staff is friendly. Service was quick. Will definitely be back to try the other sandwich combinations.

I had the opportunity to try this establishment today before their grand opening tomorrow thanks to Josh who was very welcoming. I Ordered the original chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was very favorable and crisp. Carlos was also very welcoming. Definitely can't wait to visit when it opens up tomorrow. I highly recommend giving this place a shot. The establishment was very clean.

The food was AMAZING AND DELICIOUS. oMg the cheese fries taste Great nice and HOT fresh out the fryer. The service was quick and it was easy to order. The ambiance was ok but who cares the food tasted Great. Ohh and don't forget to ask for extra sauce you won't be disappointed.

Came here and got the original chicken sandwhich combo with mac and cheese. The food here is good. Chicken sandwich is good and crispy. The fries were a bit old and not fresh. The macaroni and cheese were not good at all. The shake was ok, I had better.

I ordered delivery from this business so I can't speak to the ambiance - but the fried chicken was good and the Mac and cheese was outrageously good - best ever from a fast food place.

Shaq 's version of Dirty Fries at his Big Chicken location in Bridgewater, NJ was nothing to write home about but then again, maybe that's my fault since they're famous for their chicken and I didn't order ANYTHING chicken. Nevertheless, these dirty fries are the cure for a hangover so they work. The all male crew (for that shift) was super nice and patient. Coulda moved faster since it took 14 minutes for my order to finally be ready but it is what it is. Gotta go back for the chicken... maybe I'll be more impressed with the place.

Sandwich was small and tasteless even with the Mac and cheese. Chicken tenders were greasy. Everything was very expensive. Wouldn't go again.

I was the annoying customer w my partner after the gym, who walks in at 8:40 FAMISHED. I thought it was a clean chicken fast food restaurant. Danny did an amazing job recommending food, and taking care of us. We ordered the 3 combo, 5 tenders, and a pb milkshake. The chicken was beautifully juicy and paired so well with the sauces. I would recommend the ranch and OG sauce. It really tasted like "real" chicken despite being a fast food restaurant. The thing that was really a showstopper, was my pb milkshake. omg. I loved the strong peanut flavor and myriad of chips inside. I will be coming back for it!!!!

Kind of a let down. My chicken sandwich was cold with way too much mayo. I asked for cheese and they didn't add it and overall it had very little taste. Fries were cold too. Everything was edible but just not great. I recommend walking across the street to Shack Shake and get a much better chicken sandwich and fries.

First time going to Big Chicken and will definitely come back. Friendly staff willing to give Great recommendations. I do have to say that the prices in general are a little high,but the quality is incredible. We tried the Thai wings combo with the mac and cheese with a drink. The Thai sauce was perfectly balanced of sweetness and spice. The mac and cheese was perfect with the doritos crunch topping. We also ordered the Uncle Jerome & the Grilled Cheese sandwich. The Uncle Jerome was Nashville Hot but not over spicy. The Grilled Cheese was perfect. And to end the experience we ordered the Peanut butter chip shake -- yummy! Awesome food ! Great experience! Way to go Shaq! And yes..... We digged it!

Thought this place was a gimmick. Been back like ten times since I gave it a shot. Food is great and the workers are super nice (albeit a little "laid back" so maybe don't come here if you're in a rush).

The Nashville Hot is savory and a good level of spice that still allows you to taste your food. The "Nashville Hotter" was painful and I have no idea what the chicken actually tasted like.

Ok - first the good - easy to order, clear menu options and lunch was quick. The chicken must be cooked to order because it was fresh and hot. The bad - value! I had the classic combo -$14+tax. My wife had 3 tenders and a soda - $12+tax. Our little lunch came to $28. The tenders were nice and thick, but the cutlet in my sandwich was 1/4" thick at most. I know prices are up overall, but this was high even for 2024. We were there at prime lunchtime and only 2 tables were in use! Fix the value!

Food is mediocre at best. Fries are terrible and the chicken sandwich has no flavor. Also overpriced for what it is.

Buddy at reg was rizzing up milfs instead of giving me food. 3 people working one of which is staring off into space. Cool restaurant but low to mid service. Was expecting more from shaq

At first when I saw this place I was like yeah you know what the chicken place let me try it out like anyone find out it was owned by Shaquille O'Neal or he is partners when they ordered the chicken sandwiches one of each one chicken when a bit into it was really tough I did not finish eating it got home 3 o'clock in the morning I felt nauseous and then fireworks started I look like a human water fountain spitting from both sides of my body it was horrible the worst food poisoning I've ever had in my life today is Tuesday I ate this on Saturday went to the Dr. and got an IV I will never eat for that place again these people can kill people bro I lost time at work

Had my first Big Chicken experience tonight. The food was amazing and freshly cooked, hot, and innovative. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and has plenty of room to sit. Staff is friendly and eager to please. We cannot wait to come back!

The chicken was great and the fries where perfect. We really enjoyed our dinner. The service was great. Food came quickly and fresh. The place is really casual. Can get a bit loud. But not a big deal.

Great Food I like it better then Chick fil A KFC about the same I hope Shaq comes to opening really soon but I want the restaurant website to look at my note mostly because there is something more then meets the eye to me.

These fries are sooo yummy. I ordered Ultimate Chicken sandwich meal and the Cookies and Cream milkshake. The Ultimate consists of a crispy chicken fillet, top with their Mac and cheese with crispy onions and a sauce that reminds me of thousand islands. The sauce and the crispy onions really enhanced the flavor of the chicken. The Mac on the other hand was kinda mid. I don't think it was cold I just thought it was room temp. Other than that this meal was delicious.

Food was good nice workers just slow as all get out service should take 16 minutes to make chicken nuggets bring back stickies

It's not something to cry home about. Now I love and I mean absolutely love spicy chicken sandwiches. Like that's the first thing I look for on the menu at restaurants. So you can see why I would be so excited to try the glistening, red, juicy buffalo chicken sandwich they had on their menu. I sat in their store waiting oh so patiently for a taste of the buffalo chicken sandwich. Just looking at the chicken being drenched in buffalo made me so happy. I finally got the burger after like 15 minutes or so after ordering and there it was. A tasty looking chicken sandwich drenched in buffalo sauce that would be sickening to people who can't handle black pepper on their food. I finally took a bite, and I put it back down. If you could comprehend the pure bliss on my face when I bit into that burger, I would show you a catalog of sad dogs after watching Marley and me and you tell me if that sounds happy to you. I was dissatisfied to say the least when I tasted the "buffalo" sauce that they violated my burger with. My smile dropped from my face and was replaced with regret, disbelief, and utter despair. If you want to have a buffalo chicken sandwich, don't ask the Oompa Loompa you hide in your fridge to make it cause he will disappoint. That big boy Shaq would not appreciate the school cafeteria buffalo sauce that y'all be engulfing that poor chicken in. This sandwich makes me want to go full vegan, and fake chicken would probably be spicier than the real deal that y'all serve for the price of my left pinky toe. This sandwich tasted like a hate crime and honestly I feel like I should tell a trusted adult about how this sandwich absolutely assaulted me. You will be hearing from my lawyers and my grandmother.

Chicken was good, but once again Uber forgot our shakes and have not refunded our money.

My two friends and I decided go to the shaqs big chicken grand opening this morning. We had a great time and enjoyed the original chicken sandwich and great service!
